We used to go for the all-you-can-eat fish fry and ribs. It was fantastic. I don't think they do it anymore, though.

I failed to write a review of my dinner here last year but I enjoyed my sushi, I remember that! This year, my dinner was only so-so. Both years, however, the service wasn't great. So half of this large space is brightly lit while the other half is way too dark. Last year, our pictures were all bad since we sat in the dark half. This year, we sat in the well lit space and now I have okay pictures sort of haha. It was decorated for Christmas with lights and small decorations. This year, I ordered the tuna poke bowl ($24) which comes with a ginger salad and miso soup, as well as a rose tea ($5). The rose tea was very diluted. I was disappointed. Our absent waitress failed to stop by anytime within the first 20 minutes, so I had to flag down another server to replace the tea with something better, the lychee black tea which I did enjoy, although it contained caffeine, which I was trying to avoid. My boyfriend got two sushi rolls and was still hungry after he finished his rolls. Fortunately, another person didn't have an appetite that night and shared his food. It is still odd that $20 of sushi wasn't filling. In my opinion, the food is good but overpriced. They have a very good drink list with expensive wines to cheap teas. As many others have mentioned, the service was basic and not so attentive nor frequent, especially when I was desperate for new tea. Here's hoping for a better experience at our next holiday meal here!

The breakfast was pretty good, and I loved having the windows opened with a breeze. We would've been sharing a bathroom with another room if the room had been booked, so that's something to consider. But we had the whole place to ourselves since we booked on a Sunday night. I loved the location! So close to whatever you may need, but it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. They also have a cute pup. Loved it! Last comment that I'll add--I saw someone review that this place smells like cigarette smoke. It didn't at all. I'm actually highly sensitive to cigarette smoke, often having allergic reactions. I didn't react at all!

However, we stayed in the Cambridge Cottage during the cold month of January. There isn't a furnace, only a wall unit space heater. (And there was a window air conditioner.) The ceiling had leaks, the walls were dripping and the windows were rotting. Lots of TLC needed in there! We chose the Cottage for privacy, but definitely should have stayed in the main house. We contacted the phone number given to us about the heat issue, but our voice mail was never returned...still to this day. Thank goodness that there were extra blankets in the drawer, because we used 3 down blankets that evening to stay warm. Could not use the shower, since it was so cold in the Cottage. The bedroom was in the upstairs loft, there was a kitchenette with a microwave and small refrigerator. Regular bathtub with shower. No fireplace. The entryway blinds were broken, they would not slide shut. Stay in the Main House, if you don't mind sharing a bathroom!

We sat out on their covered patio area which super cute and ordered a sangria pitcher to share. Great sangria! We got a bunch to share of course but the first thing was the olives (YUM) and the brussel sprout salad which was surprisingly so yummy! We also tried croquetas which were great, the chicken and chorizo skewers, patatas bravas, the tortilla (which I have had authentic one and this one is great) and same goes for the pulpo which was so good. I really don't think we went wrong with anything we ordered even the chickpea stew was great. My take on the paella is get the seafood one if you can. I didn't tried but we had to get the chicken one because a lot of our table doesn't eat seafood and it was okay to me! Huge serving though so save room post the tapas! And of course we have to get the dessert so we had the cheesecake the chocolate cake and both were fab. Such a cutie place and I will be thinking about these tapas for a while!

I no longer live in Chicago but when I did, I'd frequent here at least once every other week. And when I'm in town, I always make it a mission to come here at least once. Dined here this past Monday and had the best service thanks to our waiter Santiago! My favorites to try are: Patatas Pravas Brussel Sprouts Salad Hanger Steak Chicken/Beef empanadas Goat Cheese and Bread The paella is amazing as well, however it's quite filling so I'd recommend getting that if you're not going to get too many tapas plates. Can't wait till I'm back next! Also FYI they sell merch too and it's pretty fire!

My wife and I have rented with Parc Huron since January of 2024. I felt it was time to update our…read morereview now that we've been here for awhile. First the positives. In general, the building staff have been very kind and that has probably been the best part of this building. Maintenance when we have needed them have been prompt and fantastic at solving our problems (within our unit, specifically). The views of the city from the units are epic and the resident events they have planned (Sidesgiving, Christmas party with a band, etc.) have been fun. They also put out an incredible "gift wrapping station" in the common area during the holidays that was helpful. The door staff are also kind and welcoming. Now for the negatives (and why I have changed my rating down to two stars). The elevators are the worst part of this building. There are 2 for all 21 floors, and when maintenance takes one out for service (or for a move in/out - which they try to do on weekdays), it can take 15+ minutes to get up and down from your apartment. This is something they will never be able to fix (as they can't add elevators to an existing building). I have asked the leasing office multiple times to please send notifications when the elevator will be locked out and they have not honored my request(s). The building provided AT&T fiber TV and internet service included in our amenity fee when we moved in (tons of channels with 2 cable boxes, and $30 fee if you wanted gig internet - a steal if you've ever paid for AT&T service before). Shortly after we moved in, they changed to a microwave based internet service called "Zentro" to save money and it continuously has issues with bandwidth dropping and slowdowns in the evening when everyone is at home streaming in their apartments. We opted to keep AT&T fiber internet at our own cost, and pay roughly $100 a month for that honor now. Super cheap of the building.. Most importantly, the availability of advertised amenities has been an absolute joke. Back in October, they announced a multiple-month renovation of the "spa" area (that consists of a hot tub, sauna, and steam room) that would close those amenities for multiple months, during the coldest part of the year in Chicago (they're doing this because it is the slow leasing season, and they will lose the least amount of money, resident satisfaction be darned). This is on top of multiple week to month long closures of this space when the 2000s era HVAC system in the space would fail and they continued to band-aid the system instead of replacing it. These amenities are quite literally the reason we chose this building, and the "spa" area will have been closed for 6-7 months of my 12 month lease. When you complain, the leasing office gives a empty "sorry bro" and points you to a clause in your lease contract stating that amenity availability is not guaranteed. No rent credits, no concessions, nothing. But they say they "LOVE their residents!" I'll let you be the judge. The fitness center and movie theater amenities are okay. The movie theater clearly had a projector replaced with a large screen TV a few years ago, and they refuse to fix the automation/home theater audio system in the room (it's a roku stick and TV speakers only). If you like this building solely for the location and the apartments, you likely will have a great experience here. If the amenities are what draw you to this building, beware, and strongly consider other options for luxury apartments (~$2.5-3k+ for a 1 bedroom).

However, when you think about it, it is still somewhat like a hotel. So I gave it a shot. I genuinely appreciated the hospitality of the property manager. He made my stay exceptionally comfortable and did so with a smile on his face. He went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten free diet to the utmost level; an example is making me GF waffles. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside on the front porch the next morning having breakfast brought out to me. My room was very clean and tidy. The bed was so comfy! I could have slept all day....but coffee started at 7 and breakfast was 8-10; so I needed to get myself up & att'um. You could tell some upgrades had been done to the property while still keeping the historic-ness alive. The property was right across from the venue of the wedding I was attending. Purely a happy accident! Not that parking was an issue, but I was happy to have been able to walk to the wedding and keep my parking spot. Water bottles were at our disposal in the mini fridge in the dining room and tea was always available. The key code entry made me feel very safe and I had my own key to my room. I thought it'd be noisy with a room right off the stairs but I was mistaken. I really enjoyed my stay. I suggest some repairs to the shower in the beechwood room, better wifi to accommodate the # of guests, and more attention to the landscaping of the property. I didn't see any other employees on the grounds and I feel like this property manager has a lot on his plate/does most of the work. I highly encourage he hire a grounds crew to help him maintain the land so he has less to do. There are many overgrown plants and some brushes that need to be tended to.
