I do not recommend Comeback Vinyl. Their staff is not knowledgeable about the products they carry and there is no customer service. I called about a problem with an order I placed on their website. The associate could not address my issue and asked for my phone number so that it could be addressed by the owner. After waiting a week, I received an email - apparently from the same sales associate who couldn't help me in the first place. To paraphrase, it said, you ordered it, you made the mistake, we're not going to do anything about it, have a nice day. I am a huge believer in supporting small businesses. We have been buying vinyl from another local store for years - they are terrific! When we happened upon this store, I thought it would be nice to support a new local business. I have to say, I started collecting about a month ago (67 so far since) and have ordered all around to start my collection. Their response and customer service far surpasses any other I have spoken with. At this point, there are quite a few options available online for what I want to obtain, but I always order from this store with priority. As can see, only 2 out 5 stars. Obviously not my choice for record store. Why not a 1? They have a pretty decent selection for a small store, and the sidewalk sales. Why not a higher score? Read on.... I have stopped in the store several times over last couple of years, as it is one of the few up on the northside, plus the sidewalk sales as I mentioned. To he 100% honest, other than sidewalk sale, have not purchased anything from them. Prices are a bit too high. Speaking on pricing, check them and others out on RSD, they mark the releases up a few dollars more than others around. A few dollars does not sound like much, but when records cost $25++ on RSD, a few dollars adds up. Checked prices at MoJo, Fantasyland and CD Warehouse last few RSD. and they always are $2-$3 more. More reasons? Not sure if he is owner, or manager, but guy I see in there a good bit, and represents them at the record show.....comes across a bit snobbish for me. Also, he watches over people like a hawk. It is a 12" record, not easy to walk out with! He never really comes across as easy going, or approachable, atleast when I have been in there. Seen people walk out on disgust after dealing with him. He obviously knows how business side of things, and social media, but not customers. Rest of the crew, especially young lady, all seem pretry laid back and willing to help. Some more than others. Overall though, personnel has seemed to diminish since the store opened. They seem less and less knowledgeable, also less & less friendly. Personally, I have stopped going in. Other stores around have begun to step up their game, and are quite honestly nicer to customers. Prices are lower. These are just my 2 cents. Base opinion for yourself, stop in several times and do same with other shops around. Doubt this place will enjoy the longevity of Fantasyland or Criminal though. read more

As a note, I live in Chicago and have not been to their physical location. However because of Covid, I looked into retailers who were selling RSD titles online and found Comeback Vinyl. Their customer service is incredible. I appreciated the fact that they sent out an email asking customers to indicate which RSD records they were interested in. I had a few questions and the staff was quick to respond and help. They sent out an email before each RSD drop explaining the process and providing an FAQ. The day after RSD, an email was sent out explaining next steps and when they would ship out the records that I purchased. Even though I opted for media mail, the records arrived quickly and were packaged with a ton of care. They really seem to go above and beyond every step of the way. I was able to get on their site and order everything I wanted easily & quickly. Within days they emailed to let Me know my order was ready. I drive about an hour and some change to come to this record store specifically. Acworth to Alpharetta is not too light of a drive, but this shop is well worth the drive. I have bought something every time I have visited the store. Even when another record is the last thing I need to spend money on. I travel to a lot of cities and I always find a record shop to stop by. You're always looking at the inventory, used versus new, how the albums are categorized, etc. I consistently "come back" to Comeback as the best overall experience. That's based on the experience in the shop, availability of online purchases, and how they handle special events like sidewalk sales and RSD, and especially the staff. Probably one of the best record shops in the United States; certainly for Georgia. Although I don't live there anymore, I do like that I can usually find what they have in stock online from them through Discogs. I call sometimes to see if they have something or can pre-order for me and I am never had anything but a good experience. Besides, they always have the best copies of Kinks albums I am looking for. It is long overdue that I leave a review for Comeback. I have been buying from them since they were a booth at the Grean Bean. They are one of the booths that contributed to my collection when I first started collecting. I was thrilled when they opened their first independent shop. Everyone who works there is so nice and knowledgeable. They are always willing to help me out when I have a question. Their products are quality. I love that the records they sell come in plastic outer sleeves. They really pay attention to detail. The way they ship records to you is very professional and protective. My Mother passed away in July of this year. My mother and father both deceased, had over the years collected records from thrift shops, including one sided pressed. They never played them just collected. Their 250+ collection included everything from rock and roll, jazz, classical, etc.. in 45's, 78's, 33 1/2 etc. Twice I have visited the "brick and motar" store in Alpharetta. The first visit I asked the very young man, "part time help" if the store would be interested in the old records and related the age and type of records available. Including the one sided press type. He had "no idea" what I was talking about. Recently I visited the store again, this time with some samples in hand to show the people at the store. It was right before opening and a lady was walking around, I knocked on the door, she opened it. I asked if they would be interested in seeing or buying some very old records. Before I could get the rest of my sentence out, she said they are not buying any "used" records. I said "you don't even know what I have" as she abruptly shut the door. I may be wrong, but isn't this business about purchasing and reselling old vinyl records? Secondly, she could have stated they might be willing to at least look at the samples. Or at least said they are overstocked and maybe comeback at some time. Instead she treated me like some crack head trying to pawn off records for money. These pass two visits leave me really confused on their business model. I have priced a sample of some of the records I have, and they are not junk. And by the way , 85% are in pristine condition. read more

Love the new shop! You're helping to support my vinyl hobby. Since i tend to not listen to todays music i really apreciate the varieties of artists and genres you carry. This was my first visit since you moved and its amazing to have a vinyl outlet on the outskirts of town. All the extra space for browsing was fantastic as well as the new cabinetry. I usually and completely accidentally visit about 20 minutes before closing every time and I never felt like i was being rushed out the door. Second review after this last RSD. I, unfortunately, live 4 hours away and do not have a chance to make it up as much as I'd like. The fact that the leftover RSD stock is sold the following day online allows me to usually get everything I want. But, here's the key thing--the prices are the same as on RSD which are already as low/or lower than any other store! Of course, some titles have been sold out the day before, but that's the chance I take not going on RSD. The professionalism of the owners in how they run their store is tops! The times I've been in the store, I've always been treated with nothing but respect by everyone and will always return as my go to store in the Atlanta area. Extraordinarily good used vinyl store. Stock is well arranged with marked dividers for major artists. Selection is strong and prices quite reasonable. I'm a 70's classic rock guy and most albums in that space were either $6 or $10 with a few marked down to $4 and only the biggest and rarest going for more. Vinyl is very clean (I wash used vinyl as a habit but only one of six records I bought really needed it) with cover protectors on virtually all stock. Owners very friendly and appeared to be knowledgeable. Also have a good stock of new vinyl with prices that were also very competitive.
