My partner and I went to Comedy on State to see Sydnee Washington for the Valentine's Day special. Sydnee Washington was a great choice as she was very funny and engaging with the audience. For a little background, she is an emmy nominated actress due to her role in Bridesman and also is a write for the NYT. While there, you are required to buy two drinks which was no problem as I planned to do so anyways. My ticket was pretty dang cheap anyways as I got the student discount because I go to UW. I 100% want to go back and I am always keeping an eye out for a good performance!

We can't really take that many pictures there because it's dark and well, you're not allowed too. The parking around the area sucks, I recommend parking by the garage, because it's a block over. Don't bother looking for parking other places. The two drink minimum is standard, I don't recommend getting anything alcohol, because they really water it down. But if you're an alcoholic, go off king. I really liked the ice cream drink. It's clean, pretty small and overall just a great addition to this cute little town. Highly recommend coming here.

What an evening at Comedy on State. This was my first time experiencing a comedy show at Comedy at State. It was awesome. Our big group was seated together, and the drinks complimented the show really well. The comedians of the evening were SUPER HILARIOUS!!! Definitely recommend Comedy on State for a good night out.

Place is absolutely filthy. Took mom to a show a few weeks ago and there were mouse droppings all over the seat back in front of us and the floor. When we notified a manager they suggested it was candy crumbs. The men's bathroom was absolutely disgusting with the toilet overflowing onto the floor. Place was too stuffy also. Could barely breathe inside with the stale air. Will not return for sure. Ugh

    Delicious Grasshopper and good comedy!

I love this place. It's only about a 20 minute drive from where I live and some pretty amazing talent comes through here. Some of the nights, I haven't even been familiar with anyone in the line up, and I'm never disappointed. It's a good laugh, good drinks and a fun time. Equally important, it's affordable! Not some crazy outlandish prices. You can have a fun night for under $30 bucks! Highly recommend this comedy venue.

Great comedians at a good price. Drinks are a little pricy but beer is average priced. Always a fun.

I am guessing this was not their regular show but a shortened version since they were doing three different performances at the festival on this evening. The troupe was quite funny. Of course improv can be hit or miss especially when trying to engage with a big crowd that was moving in and out of the tent (many were in the tent avoiding the rain). We definitely had a many good laughs. We now plan to go to one of their regular shows.

We purchased tickets ahead of time which was good because it was a sold out show. The venue is interesting (basement of Glass Nickel Pizza), it was small so space was very limited. I suggest arriving early so you can order something to eat and a drink. They do have a full bar in the basement during the show as well. My kids LOVED it. They had a few different acts, and each time they asked for either an idea from the audience or had a few people (kids) come up and help in the act. My son was super excited to be picked for the last act of the night. Most of the skits were hilarious, but there was one or two that was more funny for the adults as my kids were too young to catch on to why it was funny. We plan to be back!

Ben T. decided to try improv after having been an actor on the side a few times, and he loved classes at Atlas. I will leave it to him to fully review the classes here, but I will say that he had a lot of fun, learned a lot, and met some really cool people (who he then introduced me to!). At the end of the improv course, you can participate in a class show. For me, this would be one of those "opportunities" that I would rather pass up. But Ben was really excited about it -- And I was very excited to be an audience member and see what he had learned over the course of 10 weeks. I was lucky to have met a few of the other improv course attendees, and I really think it added something special to the show to know a few people participating in it. Atlas is in a great location, although I found the parking lot difficult to find on a dark night. I ended up parking in a nearby parking lot and hoping I wouldn't be ticketed. The inside of Atlas is really cozy and cute, and the people up front were friendly. Since I was there early and by myself, I was seated right up front. The seating is a bit close together... So I made a new friend, the person sitting next to me! The show was hilarious. It reminded me a lot of Whose Line is it Anyway, which I used to LOVE and cry-laugh watching. The emcees (course instructors) were funny, friendly, and encouraging. The point system can get crazy, like it was on Whose Line, which adds to the fun. The audience was great at throwing out ideas when solicited for what we ate for breakfast or random letters of the alphabet, although to be honest even this made me nervous. I think I was just waiting for some point where they would drag someone on stage or something like that, but we were safe in the audience! I can't wait to make it here for the "real" non-student shows. If the students learned that much in 10 weeks at Level 1 I think the more experienced people would be insanely talented. I was very proud of Ben T. and the rest of his class!

The space is big and you never felt claustrophobic despite the fact the place was pretty packed. We appreciated the fact you are seated at a table (at least for this band. I recently had knee surgery so opted to buy a VIP Table in the balcony so I didn't have to stand all night. I was glad I did because the band played for over 2 hours and there was also a DJ. The venue itself is dated and carpet and furniture upstairs smells musty, like an older bar. However, the view and sound from the balcony were pretty good, and we had our own little dance party upstairs. It is a walk downstairs to use the bathroom, but we appreciated that there was a bar serving drinks upstairs. During a few parts of the concert, it sounded almost like the song started off key, and we kept seeing the vocalist tap his ear, so not sure if there was an audio issue. There is parking nearby, if you arrive early enough to get a closer spot. The employees here were working hard to get everyone inside, despite the long line. Drink service in the balcony was fast. There is no separate entry for VIP. Just one long line and once you get inside are then brought to your ticket area. In all, I would say we waited outside for close to 30 minutes before we got inside for bag and ID check.
