I want to give a huge thank you and shout-out to the manager at the Improv in Milwaukee for making last-minute accommodations for us. My guy and I traveled from Chicago to Milwaukee on the coldest day of the weekend to see Bruce Bruce perform. Unfortunately, we arrived after the doors were locked due to taping. Normally, late entry isn't allowed, but he was incredibly understanding and accommodating. He made sure we were seated and even sent us a complimentary drink when he could see we were disappointed. Our lateness wasn't his fault at all, yet he still went above and beyond to make things right. That level of customer service did not go unnoticed, and for that reason alone, I'll definitely be back. Here we go lol just got back from the 9 PM show tonight with Steve Byrne, small crowd but great show!!! I came solo tonight, spur the moment ditched work early at 6, well i was paired up at a table with four other people up front with one very drunk obnoxious lady and if you were here tonight, then you definitely know who I'm talking about lol thank you to security for finally getting rid of her finally although she didn't make great material for Steve I felt bad for him, but he handled it like a champ. I just wanted to say that the waitresses at my table were more than accommodating and even apologized that I had to sit next to them and deal with that and Angel is awesome! Great guy, handled the situation well and when I left, I talked to him for a moment and he cannot be more friendly or gracious. Great guy, give him a raise‍ and if the people that got kicked out or reading this one of you left your glasses at the table, great food too, fried mozzarella sticks! read more

The comics are good. The seating is terrible. Every-time I've been there I get seated facing the aisle where everyone walks. There's almost no space so you have to sit uncomfortably and you can't order food unless you want to eat in your lap. Terrible set up. Way too many people packed in to a room that's poorly designed. If you want to pay (ticket price + 2 drink minimum) to get bumped into constantly it's the place for you. read more

Received these tickets as a gift and was excited to check out this 35 year-old Italian from New York Alessandro. He was really genuine and funny and had the entire audience laughing. The self serve menu with the QR code on the table was very helpful and easy to navigate. The servers were Swift and friendly. I enjoyed all of the items except the temporary shrimp. They were very tiny and heavily breaded, even though it said lightly battered. I enjoyed all of the sauces and dips for the chicken and waffles, which were very lovely and fluffy fresh. The mustard dip for the pretzel was my favorite as the imitation nacho Cheese Just tasted out of a can. All in all it was a great experience and the food was very good. Highly recommend for a relaxing and truthful night. There's even a game you can play at your table on your phone to spin the wheel and when prizes! Bonus. read more

Our first time seeing a show at Milwaukee Improv was great! The staff was super friendly and helpful. I arrived early to secure seats for our group and they helped me set aside chairs and pick the best spot. Ordering food and drinks on your phone using a QR code at your seat is very easy, and our server was very attentive and helpful. We were able to leave a tab open and then just close it out before we left. We sat at the first row of the bar behind the tables in front of the stage and had a great view. Convenient, covered and plentiful free parking is a bonus. Can't wait to go back! read more

Great club to see your favorite comedian's when they come to town. Covered parking for the most part. There is a 2 item minimum per person in addition to the admission ticket, But a drink and appetizer will have you covered for that. Not really a bad seat in the house. You can get there early and get right up next to the stage if there aren't VIP tickets sold for the show. The food is good also. I recommend the fried pickles. Most of the times after the show the comedian will do a meet and greet and you can buy merch, get a picture or an autograph. The laughs will definitely have you coming back for more. read more

My proper rating would be 3.5/5. I've been here about a dozen times now and at the core I'm incredibly appreciative that we have this type of venue in the area. It's always a nice treat being able to go to a comedy show in a proper venue. The location is great. Right off the highway, covered and well-lit parking. The interior is really cozy. It blends an underground yet "faux-classy" vibe very well. The workers have consistently been kind and professional every time I've been there. My biggest complaint is the seating. Nothing is worse than being seated at a table with your back to the table and strangers seated on the opposite side of the table as you. Not only is it incredibly uncomfortable to have to turn around to eat your food or grab your drink, but you also get to do it while staring at/being stared at by strangers 12 inches away from you. It's a major detractor from the show. The QR code ordering system and efficiency has improved a ton between my first visit a few years ago and the last time I was there sometime this past year. But the food/drinks to table speed leaves room for improvement. You're lucky if your server makes it to you twice during a show which can be a big bummer when it comes to drinks. The only food I ever order myself there is the big pretzel (with beer of course), so I can't comment on actual food quality. But my best advice is order a little extra at first so you can avoid risking the rush towards the end. There are a few seats in the venue that are directly under/in line of disorienting lights that I've found myself in. You're either glowing in the crowd or being blinded. This is another thing that takes away from immersion. I've been lucky enough once or twice to be provided a VIP booth with GA admission because all other seats were filled. However, one time they demanded we pay VIP prices under those same circumstances which felt incredibly unfair. I realize over time it balanced itself out for me, but not everyone may be able to pay that surprise premium, or go back again after that for the same chance of luck. Prices are fair and to be expected from a club with 2 order minimum. Nothing spectacular but not terrible by any means. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely. I'm always looking at who's coming so I can snag tickets for performers I enjoy, or letting friends and family know of people coming that they might enjoy. The fun and magic this place brings far outweighs any of the criticisms I have against it. I just wish there'd be comedians I know and enjoy coming by more often! read more

Date of visit: December 16, 2023 Tickets to see Jay Pharoah were a Christmas gift the previous holiday season for some friends and the show was delayed a couple times until finally we got to see him on December 16. We had not been to this venue before and overall were impressed at the setup and staff. If you want to be up close, definitely spring for the VIP as those are the first couple rows of the theatre and you are much closer to your next favorite comedian. Also, make sure you get there early as the seats in each section are first come, first served so keep that in mind--especially if you don't want to become "part" of the show. We all liked the food we had; while a tad on the expensive side, the quality of everything we tried was very good, from the Asian salad to the sliders to the chicken sandwich. A great intimate venue to see comedy!! Doors opened at 5 and we were there by 520 and were in the second row of tables. But I don't think there were any bad seats. They seat from front to back so if you do not want to be close to the front because yes they do interact with the crowd I'd say arrive closer to 6 for a 630 show. Along with your ticket there is a 2 item minimum (pretty standard comedy club setup). I got a cocktail which was fairly decent. And I honestly didn't expect too much from the food but the chicken quesadilla was really good. Just a little different from your standard quesadilla but in a good way. And pickles were perfectly crunchy and came with two sauces a standard ranch and a sweet chili or something along those lines. Even through the show the service was very attentive. Obviously the show quality will vary depending on who you're there for but we really enjoyed the comedians we saw and will definitely go again! read more

First time at the Improv! Nice that the entrance is right inside the parking garage so it's easy to get to after you park. The seating can be reserved or it's first come first serve and you can grab a table or booth. It's nice that they have QR codes at the table to order drinks or food. They also have servers as well so it's nice to have both options especially if the servers are busy. We ordered a few appetizers and they came out quickly which was nice. The food menu is pretty small but has a good variety of options. Everything was tasty and good portion sized. They also have a nice variety of drinks and beers and a full bar too. First time at Improv, and we attended a show that supported the Waukesha Food Pantry, so the money was well spent. I understand that a comedian can make or break a show so I will not review any of the 5 that had short stage time. It was Thanksgiving Eve so not a huge crowd, and the acts were not big name, which was expected. But to have this venue in Brookfield is a nice bonus and I hope to return with bigger names on the stage. The room was small but I know the larger area is used by opening up the walls. It was confusing about where to order drinks and food, but in the end we just waited for a server to come over, which he did promptly. He was attentive and was busy all night. We did not order food but what did get served around us smelled delicious. Everyone seemed satisfied as they ate their dishes. As is to be expected, the prices are high. A soda is $7 and most drinks are north of $15. Food is more also but a decent variety available. Two order minimum is in play so bring money for your meal and drinks and tip the staff also. The acoustics are good, but I also think since this was an "off night" we did not get the full experience a non-holiday night would show us. Parking is free in the lot connected right to the front door. Easy access to I94 also makes it a simple evening no matter where you are coming from. All in all I will try again when the holidays are over and I recognize the talent. It's too easy to get here and find a good reason to laugh. read more

The shows are fun and reasonable in price; and the venue is good, as well as the service; but the food was pricey and mediocre: the guacamole wasn't really good, and the Improv hamburger barely had any flavor. My husband felt that his food didn't have much flavor, either. The highlight of my dining experience was the sangria. The dining experience becomes more relevant when you are in a dark room where you can barely see you food. And when it's bland, it's really bland. $100 for a dinner like that + drinks is no fun. What a fun night, courtesy of Yelp! I was one of the few ticket winners for a pair of tickets to the Improv. Never heard of the place let alone realized it was out at the newly created mini-city known as The Corners of Brookfield. Maybe should be called the Brookfield Improv, lol. It is an easy place to get to from Milwaukee as it's right off the highway. Even easier parking in the garage underneath, for free, which ushers you right into the entrance of the Improv. Oh, how I wish this was somewhere downtown MKE but no mater such a simple hike to get over to. We had drinks and an appetizer during the show. Get here early as it fills in fast! The drinks were good, and the food was ok. We didn't really drive out here to get wasted and stuff our faces, what we came here for was to laugh out loud, and that I certainly did. The comics were on point! Chris Franjola the headliner was really all that and he worked the crowd like a pro. The opening act and presenter were also great. Located in the bougie "Corner's of Brookfield", head to the underground parking to find the Milwaukee Improv! Super exciting for the city to have a premiere comedy club to draw some big name performers. The service is average, but that is too be expected as the focus is on the performer, and they do not wish to interrupt. The space itself is intimate with no bad seats in the house. We had a great time at the Improv, and we're so excited to have a comedy club so nearby. Hopefully they can promote it a bit more so people start packing in for shows and acts want to come out this way. I also hope that in the long run we become a stop for comedians in Chicago and others doing tours to come by and try new material. That'll really make this a gem. There is ample parking in the garage, and you should definitely park there if you do t want to navigate weird stairwells and elevators that don't take you directly to the entrance. Don't eat before you come - we didn't know that there was a 2 item minimum per person, so we would have just eaten there. Fwiw, the food did look delicious. We were just not hungry by the show start and instead just had drinks. Prices are as expected for a club show, but definitely expect to pay $6 for a soda. Everyone was very friendly and they escort you into the stage area. We were seated right up front - which made me nervous but they really try to make sure everyone is comfortable. We asked if we could sit in front but off to the side and that was accommodated. I would have liked just a little more room between us and our neighbors (for us and for the waitstaff) but overall it was as expected for a comedy club. The bathrooms are a bit strange with sinks outside of the spaces for toilets but all very clean. I'd prefer maybe more ways in/out of the stage area itself but overall everything is laid out pretty well. We'll be back! read more

Super fun space to enjoy Drag Bingo with Ester Flonaze to celebrate her birthday. This was a big space and pretty full. After scanning my ticket I could chose any seat so I went to a booth. You scan a QR code on the table to order food, snacks, drinks and even mocktails! Nice variety and prompt service. You can keep the tan open and close it when you are ready. Add the tip you want, it was very easy. I had two mocktails and a snack. Nice service and portions. Great fun show and venue. Spacious bathrooms. Merch was available. Just a heads up if you order a rideshare like Lyft your driver will most likely drop you off or pick up from the upper level by Goddess and Baker. Parking and the main entrance to the venue is on the lower level. The elevator was down when I was here but there was above three flights of stairs so it was easy to navigate. I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a comedy show at Milwaukee Improve. Listen, I was clueless so let me help out anyone who is just as clueless as me. It's in a mall-like place. There IS parking right outside the club, but you gotta drive around till you see the big P. There's tons of parking spots down there on a Wednesday evening in spring. We ended up parked outside of Walburgers/Cafe Hollander and we were so confused on how to get to the club. We ultimately figured it out. If you do park where we did, go towards improve sign and take the elevator to Lower Level, out the door you'll see the covered parking and the comedy club is to your left. Had we known about the covered parking, we would have drove around more to find it. We still were kind of confused on how to actually get there, but it's there! There is a 2 minimum purchase PER ticket. Yes, you read that correctly. Each person is forced to purchase 2 items during the show. This can be two drinks, two food items or one of each. But...they make you. I called customer service to find out more about this unique rule; the 411 guy was so awesome. I was super annoying with my questions about dipping out on the 2 item purchase and he laughed the whole time and he was super great about it. Listen the two purchase minimum isn't even that big of a deal had I known about it prior to my friend and I going out to eat. We would have skipped dinner for sure! I deducted a star because the ginger ale was flat and the pretzels were mediocre at best. However, the servers and people who manned the door were so so friendly! Seating is first come first serve, which you are guided to by an employee. We were brought to a table in front which I was dreading. The introvert in me was screaming and I said, "oh god no." God is good though because we were then informed that the seat was actually taken and we got to sit at the long bar seat options, which I much preferred. Praise Jesus. On to the actual show. The host and one performer go on before the main act. The host Carly, and the male performer were funny. The crowd did not seem to get Carly, but I truly liked her! I thought she was funny. The guy who came on next was funny too but you could tell he was trying. I laughed. The main act was Chris Franjola. Admittedly I had no idea who this was and was immediately offended that he came out blowing kisses. I was like, please stop, I don't like it. He did eventually stop and I was geared up for a snooze fest. But, unbeknownst to me, Chris Franjola is f***ing hilarious. I am not even exaggerating when I tell you that I laughed the entire time. He was so incredibly, effortlessly funny. And he even added a bit my friend had shown me prior to the show (since we had no idea who he was). I was unimpressed by the 30 seconds I watched but was doubled over with laughter at his show last night. Seriously. He's freakin hilarious. It did not disappoint in the least and was every bit of what I needed after receiving a personal loss of my own recently. Thanks for a great night! I shall return one day. read more

We arrived right on time and were surprised the show actually started on time as other clubs in town would spend some time hustling drinks. Speaking of drinks, the ordering process is a little flawed since the QR codes are super hard to scan in the dark, and the website itself isn't the most Intuitive. But we weren't there for drinks... we expected one comedian and were pleasantly surprised that there were actually three. Overall, great acts! Will definitely be back for future shows. Enjoyed another fun night out thanks to Yelp Elite! My husband and I have been wanting to go to more comedy shows so this was the perfect excuse to start! Neither of us have been to Mke Improv, but we are familiar with Brookfield Corners. The theater is clean, spacious, and dimly lit for that comedy vibe. We enjoyed all three acts! The second performer was from Wisconsin, so those jokes hit a little harder! The headliner was terrific - Sheng Wang. He kept us laughing and talking about his set after it was over. The comics are funny and the staff is accommodating and courteous. Masking is optional and the seating is intimate but you'll have a great time! The food and drinks aren't cheap but worth the money and don't forget to tip the hardworking and friendly staff! There's plenty of parking in the adjacent lot or any of the attached surface lots at the Brookfield Corners mall. Get there a little early to get settled and get good seating. Updating my review to 4 stars after having gone a few times now and sitting in different sections I have a better overall opinion. If you don't get the floor table seats you're not going to be as comfortable. The second and third level have what I can only describe as bleacher style seating where it's a chair and no divider and you're should to shoulder with the people next to you. Unfortunately it only takes one wider person to throw off spacing. They really need to remove 4 or so chairs per row, it's not like many shows sell out anyways. If you don't sit in the straight row there's tables but they're parallel with the stage so if you're on one half you have to turn your chair during the show and have not tabletop in front of you. The food quality has also gotten worse the last few times. I always get the chicken quesadilla but yesterday it was barely lukewarm as soon as I got it. We also ordered drinks thru the mobile site and with the waiter and neither time got them until I reminded him a third time. The menu could have a little more variety for people who may want to go more frequently and I would honestly pay for a "season pass" of sorts to avoid the item minimum if you just want to buy tickets and not eat/drink 2 items. Lastly, the drink prices are about 20% higher than necessary. $10 for a Blue Moon in WI has to be a record outside of Fiserv or AmFam Field. Overall, I'm glad to have the club close to home but without many medium-big names and lack of dining options at high prices it's getting old fast. read more

The venue is really well done. I really enjoyed the aesthetic. We had a VIP booth which was pretty comfortable and nice and close. The booths are built up a little bit so you have a good view. VIP seats are in the first tier and GA seats are in the second. It is definitely worth paying the slight extra to get VIP seating. The service was good though a little slow at times. Staff were very friendly. The food was what I would expect for the type of venue and I would compare it to fast casual like Chili's or Applebees. 12 girlfriends went to the hocus pocus Flip Phone Drag Brunch yesterday.... $1,200 for 3 "VIP BOOTHS". It was the worst show I have ever seen. The performers didn't know the words, costumes and makeup were terrible, and there was no performing - just walking around a packed room collecting dollars. 90% of the show was happening behind me, on the floor in a sea of people. Leaving my VIP seating staring at an empty stage. This is not the right venue for this show. And the food & drinks.... We ordered 4 appetizers - some we got hours after ordering them, cold and not prepared correctly, some we never got. Sat most of the time without a drink, just waiting and waiting for them to bring it out. For a 3 hour show, I was able to get served twice. Ended up leaving early and sitting in the lobby where we could actually go to the bar ourselves for drinks. Left starving and thirsty. Total waste of time and money. I'd go to Hamburger Mary's any day of the week. read more

Finally made my way here thanks to tickets via Yelp! The name is deceiving as it's located in a suburb of Milwaukee--not the city. The location is within the Corners of Brookfield which is loaded with shopping and dining destinations, just plan accordingly for your scavenger hunt to find MKE improv! It's located on the lower level parking garage, so your best bet is to enter the complex by Sendiks. Or grab a bite to eat at Cafe Hollander and they have access to an elevator that'll take you to the lower level. The comedians were all fabulous! The venue itself was great and clean. The setup inside is pretty neat, intimate setting and perfect for comedy shows . Like others have said it's a two drink/item minimum. Make sure you have the correct QR code because I kept scanning one to enter a contest because it was dimly lit inside and all I wanted was to order a drink! I had the mozzarella sticks which were good, but needed to be eaten with a fork and knife. The beers were $10 and cocktails $13+, so budget accordingly. This 'free' event turned into a $90+ night out. The waitstaff was friendly and came around often. Note to self don't order a drink at last call, the venue doesn't let you hang out in the lounge afterwards--outside of the show room. That's when the staff became not the politest and rudely sarcastic when I inquired about the venue, etc. Next time I'd definitely eat dinner before I arrive and save the minimum purchase for drinks. read more

Went to Milwaukee Improv in Brookfield for a comedy show, and while the entertainment was great, everything else missed the mark--especially the food and service. We ordered tacos and nachos, and both were some of the worst I've ever had. The chicken in the tacos seemed questionable, and the sauce was unidentifiable. As for the nachos--how do you even mess up nachos? The chips were bland, and the cheese was just a pool of artificial cheese whiz. On top of that, the service was horrible. Our plates sat in front of us for the entire show, with no water refills. If you're going, definitely eat before you arrive and just stick to drinks. read more

Since I occasionally go to Silverspot Cinema, I saw Milwaukee Improv waiting to open for seemingly forever due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As soon the opening weekend was announced, I booked tickets to be there. There is a two item minimum per guest, so I ordered mozzarella sticks and key lime pie in a mason jar. The mozzarella sticks were fine. You do get a lot and they are well sized. I thought they were better dipped in the marinara than without it, which is the opposite of what I usually prefer. The key lime pie was great and I'd be happy to get that again. Since it was the opening weekend, they wanted to highlight local comedians for the first few acts. I thought that was nice to see that out of a chain comedy club that could have brought in a bunch of random acts from anywhere. Lots of laughs were had. Both Steve Byrne and Gary Cannon were a riot and I was fortunate enough to be picked on a couple times during their acts and even bought up on stage for a fake boy band bit. The list of upcoming comedians they're bringing in looks quite talented, like Bob Saget, D.L. Hughley, and Jay Mohr, so I easily see myself coming back. The only negative was that the sound wasn't great on the far side of room where I was sitting because the speakers are angled back towards the middle. I had a hard time hearing some of the quieter bits and wished I was sitting closer to the middle. read more

I had a really great first experience at Milwaukee Improv courtesy of Yelp! The location is at the Corners of Brookfield and you enter downstairs through the parking garage. I did have a friend let me know in advance where the entrance is, which I think probably saved us a little time in searching for it. They were great at the box office in getting us our tickets at will call and we were sat right when we got in. The main reasons I went with four stars instead of five would be that they use an ordering system with a QR code specific to the table which in theory is great, but in practice didn't work too well. Someone had been sitting at our table and moved, so we had to get their bill switched off of our table. The ordering system just overall didn't work too well and was a little frustrating. Staff did an awesome job taking our orders at our table. There also is a two item minimum per person (either food or drink). I've heard that's not necessarily uncommon, but it definitely would've been nice to know because we got dinner beforehand, so it was kind of a lot. I thought the staff ran like a well-oiled machine and they were super friendly and efficient taking orders and bringing food, drinks, and checks to everyone. The show itself was awesome! This place has been open for less than six months, so there's simply no reason for it to be this much of a mess. First of all, the advertised seating situation on their website is EXTREMELY misleading. The theatre is much larger than advertised and they cram it to capacity, meaning you can barely move or adjust yourself in your chair. Space between tables is microscopic and you can only hope the person sitting with their back to yours is underweight. Dismal seating. Their staff is inattentive and unhelpful and has no way to reach the majority of the tables. The theatre is drafty and cold. The restrooms are set up in a horrible way where you basically share a room for both men and women. Food is unbelievably overpriced. This was such an unpleasant experience. I've been to comedy clubs in downtown Chicago that have better layouts than this. Really, guys? It got worse. Food we ordered took forever to arrive, it was the wrong food, when we got the correct food it tasted like crap, our credit card was charged twice, and they use paper straws. Even the headliner made fun of the club's awful food. Yikes. read more

I had the best time seeing Gabriel Iglesias at the improv. What I would recommend to anyone who hasn't been here before is to read the other reviews for tips on parking and the 2 item minimum. (Not going to repeat all of it here). Also I would suggest getting there early for sold out shows. We got there a little over an hour early and ended up getting great seats (the staff will seat you). Turns out the people who got front row seats were actually there 3 hours early! As a sober person, I really appreciated their mocktail drink list which was in addition to the usual non alcoholic beverages. The virgin Pina colada was $6 and not very big. But thanks to having read the other reviews there wasn't any sticker shock with the menu prices. My husband and I also shared an order of sliders with fries and chips with corn guacamole. The sliders were delicious and the fries were also good. The guacamole was just ok. Still giving 5 stars for the excellent job the wait staff did with a full house. read more

Yes, I love comedy clubs. Yes, the Improv gets top talent, it's close by, clean, great staff, easy parking, and an overall joy to visit. I've been three times and had a terrific evening each time. My only complaint is the vastly overpriced drinks. However, it did bring back the nostalgia of my years in California when I saw the $12 beers. If you love comedy the Improv is your best, if not only bet here in Milwaukee! read more

We bopped in as Yelp guests for a show tonight, and we enjoyed ourselves baby! The venue is very nice- clean, sleek, and fairly comfortable seating. The reviews were correct that said it was nice and cold in the main improv area, so I'm glad I brought a jacket along. We didn't order food, but had the free Yelpbevent bites, and those were pretty good so we'd try the food in the future. The drinks were pretty overpriced for what they were. The show really wasn't free because realistically you'll spend at least 50-65 bucks on the 2 item minimum purchase per person. If you go in knowing that then it makes it much easier to just order what you want and enjoy the show. We enjoyed all of the acts, but I do wish there was a cleaner earlier show option available. We ended up leaving early because it got a little far beyond the line for us. Still, we'd look for more acts for a date night of laughs again in the future read more

I'm giving it a 3-star review because i have mixed feelings. The opening act was horrible - not funny at all. But the main act was hilarious. He was great. As for the food and service, atrocious. I realize serving a ton of people all at once presents it challenges so I am willing to forgive the less than stellar service. But the food was horrible. I'm not expecting a gourmet meal by any means but at least serve halfway decent food or don't do it at all. So my recommendation is yes go see a comedy show here but do not eat here. Go elsewhere first and then go to the show. read more
