I was very iffy on the location since it's right next to AmTrak and the location seemed very desolate. They are very stern on scheduling and enrollment (most of the reviews are because of rudeness and poor customer service) so missing an appointment set them and YOU back. A spot that's reserved and drops out affect the other person that needs that spot to meet requirements. As serious as they are, you have a responsibility to uphold your requirements when enrolling with them. They take it just as seriously. Intake is very straightforward, evaluations are done, welfare is considered on personal situations and most importantly meeting the person's court mandated deadline. Aside from payment plans, deposits and flexible ways to pay... you must follow the conditions set. When I started my first lesson it was a very valuable experience to remember. They care about you but if you waste your time let alone theirs well consider it "touché.

Most recent experience came today. I took Part A of the exam in December. During that test, there wasn't a rule for "no calculator, no scratch paper, no pencil, no other aid". Didn't have a problem, took that test and off I go. 2 weeks ago on Saturday I was scheduled for Part B. I went for Part B, and it looked like the password given wasn't correct and they could not contact my school. Fine, I'll reschedule. Today was my rescheduled experience. Part B. The proctor stated that, I could not use, "pencil, calculator, scratch paper, or other aid". There was nothing in the final exam regulation that had those clauses. I told the proctor and he wouldn't assist. I tried to show him the information and he said I would have to contact the school. Well, the school has the information on the site. Anyway, I had to take the test without aid. Whatever... But this guy working here obviously was just there for a weekend part time job. And it looks like he hated it. The sketchy part was the charge they put on my card. 5% credit card convenience fee. I did some research on this. In California this is violating the law and terms and condition of Visa/Mastercard. But I did not realize that in california, your only allowed to charge 4% max. 5% is over the limit for the surcharge. If your willing to pay such surcharge, go ahead and sign up for your proctor test here. And this is 2017, there really aren't that many small businesses charging processing fees, and if they did, it was something like 2.5-3%. Bay Area Testing Center used Square to process the charge. Square takes 2.75% for all swiped charges, therefore they are profiting 1.25% extra on the proctoring fee.

She said they never allow printouts of the proof of passing the exam. I said "why?" She seemed concerned about cost of the printed page and said they've been there forever and never allowed this. I have NEVER had this happen at any testing site and I've taken plenty of academic/career based exams. She asked if they charged me at other testing sites apparently she was very concerned about the cost of my one page print out proof of passing (after paying over $200 dollars per exam). I would have paid her for the printout but was just shocked at her lack of friendliness. Also they were very loud. They lock the door so they have to unlock door for each person coming in then walking back and forth talking to their back office, reorganizing stuff. Anyway I was excited to pass then really disappointed on how I was treated after the exam. Like why? Bad customer service. There are plenty of testing sites around. Don't go here. Go to San Jose State or another testing center.

It felt like there were too many videos to watch, too many areas to study and I felt overwhelmed and unmotivated. At 38 years old, the last math class I had taken was over 15 years ago, so it was a pain relearning all the math they test on Quant. Andrew broke down which areas were not tested as often and let the class know which topics to study on their own (due to class time restraints) if they were trying to score 320 and higher, which I very much appreciated. I only need a 290 for a program that requires that for admissions. The first GRE I took in August, 2025 was 279 (141V, 138Q) with practice tests ranging in the 270-280's. Today, I scored 294 (147V, 147Q), with practice tests ranging from 289-302. I studied 3-6 hours a day, 4-6 times a week (homework included) for two months to obtain this score, which I am very happy with. I'm sure I could have scored higher if I studied a bit more and did more homework. If you are thinking about taking their prep course, take the next step and make that investment because it is totally worth it!!!!!

He let me borrow his car for the test, and also gave me an hour lesson before testing, and charged me an affordable rate for that day. Michael was always on time to all my appointments. He gives out great tips and techniques to ease driving. He did take me on the freeway on the first day, and yes I nervous as hell, but he was able to calm me down. And after that, I wasn't afraid to drive on the road. Didn't realize how easy it was to drive until Michael started teaching me. His car is equipped with emergency brakes and gas pedal on the passenger side in case of emergencies.
