He told us he could get us a Trane model but when giving us a quote he lied about a fake backorder situation and said Trane wasn't available for months. I checked his claim out by calling over half a dozen other vendors and distribution center for Trane. There was NO backorder situation. He lied to us so he could manipulate us to purchase a less efficient model of a brand we told him we did not want. I have absolutely no trust in a company that lies to its customers. I do not recommend Tradesman Advantage to anyone and would never use him again. He also does not accept credit cards. Very inconvenient lack of payment options. Untrustworthy!

At this point I went to Lowe's where for $693 they did the install AND gave me a new water heater. This also included a $100 charge for an emergency install. He offered a clear explanation of what was needed to handle the iron. He explained how to size the system for maximum softening while accommodating the available pressure from my well, required for backwash recycling of the softener and iron filter. He was very straightforward about the potential problems managing iron. The iron itself tends to foul valves. He explained how to monitor and avoid this. I have had previous water softener services that tended to over promise and minimize any future issues. This left me disappointed when the equipment had trouble. Phil took the extra step of clearing some of my faucets that had restricted flow because of iron buildup. Fantastic silky water this morning.
