My only disappointment was learning they only service Mitsubishi mini-split systems, aw we have other brands in use on the property. I have been a customer of this company for many years. Recently, I needed a new HVAC (a/c and natural gas furnace combo). Small Solutions gave me their quote, but I chose to shop around a bit to see if I could maybe save a bit of money. Got 2 quotes that came in under Small Solutions' quote, by quite a bit. When I spoke to Small Solutions, they did some research, and matched the lower quotes! AND gave me a little bit better of a warranty! The heat slowly stopped working in my mom's home over the course of four months, but she didn't want to deal with nuisance of fixing it. I contacted Small Solutions, and they immediately sent someone to resolve the issue. In less than 5 minutes of entering my mom's homes, they saw that we needed to change the filters. Although they could've stopped working at that point, they went ahead and fully inspected the HVAC to ensure there were no other issues. They were very nice, neat, fast, affordable, and professional. Our AC had a power issue on the summer solstice this year, the high was 91 & we had no AC and a one year old. We found Small Solutions & they quickly sent out a tech. Our landlord however, insisted on sending out his AC guy, who arrived first & fixed the problem immediately. I called Small Solutions to cancel & the lady that answered said "ok no problem, our tech saw the other guy was already there so he left". We then find later in the day that they charged us $95. They did not warn us that that would happen when we scheduled or when we cancelled. My wife called them & they outright refused to refund us, even when we told them the situation. When your heat won't turn on and it's below zero these are the guys to call. I expected to wait at least a week before a tech could come out. They were at the house the very next day. The tech had to rewire the mess that the previous HVAC company (GSSN) created. He quickly got the heat working. This is the company to get the job done the first time. They work with your crazy schedule. They'll be prompt, courteous and explain the problem. Plus, they are the most fair and reasonable company you'll find in the area. I almost forgot. Our air conditioning compressor stopped working. We like to support smaller businesses and read good reviews so we called. They came quickly, looked at the compressor and found a corroded capacitor which they easily replaced. Probably a total of ten minutes. Our only complaint is the cost ($272.00 total); $85 for service call plus $75 for Saturday. This is high but within reason. However, $112.00 for the capacitor which is readily available online for between $8.99 and $15.99? Won't use them again. read more

After we called the company that had installed our units 8 years ago mid day Thursday and it was Friday afternoon and our upstairs was unlivable at 90+ degrees and they said they had no idea when they could get someone out we called Small Solutions at just before 4 pm on Friday. The weather in Winchester was to be mid 90s for the next week. The office at Smalls said if we needed someone that day (keep in mind it was 4pm) it would be overtime. We said fine. Jason came by a few minutes after 5 which was just about an hour after we called on a Friday with the first heat wave hitting the area. He identified the problem and replaced the part. Wow. AC went out at 7:30 PM on a (very) HOT SUNDAY night. Called these folks and the service guy was there in 30 minutes as promised. Spent an hour figuring out what was wrong (including two trips up to the 130 degree attic!). Figured out it was the exterior circuit breaker and replaced a 12 year old capacitor and he had both parts in his truck. VERY reasonable service charge. Yesterday was a 92 degree day in Winchester, so my wife and I turned on the A/C for the first time this year. Everything was operating normally for about an hour, then the system went down! I called several companies and was unable to get a service tech to come out and diagnose the problem for several days. Then I called Dylan from Small Solutions. Dylan assured that he had a pretty heavy work load the next day, but would definitely get to me that day. While on the phone, he walked me through a few things to check before they came out. Success! I was able to reset one of the components and bring the system back on line. We were cool again! I can't say enough about the patience and professionalism Dylan displayed.
