Based on our experience, this company is at best questionably honest , questionably competent and doubtfully ethical. Comfort Central had been recommended for being an environmentally friendly/aware HVAC provider and after an positive impression from the owner who came out to evaluate our needs, we scheduled installation in October of 2022, agreeing that the owner would personally install our unit. Just before our installation date, we got a call saying the owner contracted COVID. Asked if we wanted to proceed with a crew to install without the owner, we elected to wait for a month until the owner had fully recovered, during which time we heated with space heaters (at significant added expense). Our installation was finally scheduled but instead of the owner, they sent a crew of 2, no owner: one young man for whom this was a first day on the job and an "experienced" installer whose continuous stream of vile and foul language was so offensive that I called the company at the end of the workday and and told the owner not to send him again. I requested the owner to come out, as promised, to finish the installation personally. Amazing! The owner argued and ridiculed me for not tolerating one or two curse words. He expected me to excuse for his worker's unprofessional behavior because of diabetes and stress, insisting that the'd sent his best crew leader. Now, told me that he never does an install himself -- he just goes around and supervises. In short, he had no idea what went on inside the unit once his "best crew leader" sealed up the unit. I refused to continue with or pay for the installation since a worker that curses that much "because he didn't feel well" certainly was not capable of doing quality work. Finally, at my insistence, the owner agreed to show up. He arrived the next morning and apologized for his worker's behavior. Having told us that there was just 2 hours left to complete the job, we will never know what kind of mess he found that his "best crew leader" had created.hen the owner started looking inside the unit, he grimaced and spent the next several hours working on it himself. The BOSCH unit was supposed to be more efficient than the old one. Our monthly costs increased 33%. Comfort Central service was supposed to include the first year of servicing. We have never heard from them and they have not returned emails. They were supposed to send in our warranty card. We have no idea if they did so. Today when I went on line to purchase replacement filters for the HVAC unit and I discovered that Comfort Central recommended Filter Fetch for replacement filters because COMFORT CENTRAL GETS A COMMISSION on each filter purchased from that company! Filter Fetch wanted 42.00 per filter wanted for a 24.00 item. I purchased 6 for $103 from a reliable company while Filter Fetch wanted 84.00 for two filters. I think that's incredibly unethical. This was the final straw which prompted me to write a review of our bad, bad experience with this company. read more

Our AC unit apparently had a small leak as it stopped working and iced up the outdoor unit. Cameron arrived quickly and diagnosed the problem, and gave us a temporary fix. He then explained what needed to happen next in layman's terms, which is extremely appreciated. Replacing a coil isn't in the budget right now, but we're good until it is. Highly recommended and will definitely be calling them in the future. read more

I have used Comfort Central ever since we replaced our HVAC system quite a few years ago. I have had the same employee mostly for semi-annual tune ups, and he is excellent. Do not Trust this Company in being Truthful about what is wrong with your HVAC. My Husband can tell you all about their Cheating on our HVAC. They put to much Freon in our Unit which has Damaged our HVAC. Comfort Central is a Company you cannot TRUST. read more

On October 23, 2018, One of their (inexperienced) electricians came to our home (over an hour and a half later than they told us they would be here), and looked at our heater that wasn't working. He told my husband that we needed to purchase a new exhaust fan/motor, and that it would be an easy installation, and our heater would be fixed. This motor was over $200. We purchased it and overnighted it, considering our home was getting 50 degrees or lower at night, and we have a one year old who doesn't need to get sick. After the motor was installed, the heater still did not work. We called an electrician from a different company in Brevard, and he told us the correct issue right away. The ORIGINAL motor wires were not installed properly. My husband called Comfort Central right away to let them know, and that we are expecting a full refund ($95) for the time wasted having their electrician here giving us the wrong diagnosis and for telling us we needed to buy a $200 motor when we didn't. The gentleman on the phone was of no help. Since my husband called, I have called 3 times, left messages, have emailed, and still have not received our $95 refund. I was originally told by the woman who answered the phone that I would need to speak to their owner, but then she changes her mind and said I needed to speak to the man (who was of no help) who spoke with my husband. She said she has "left my message and info for him and that he will call me back". He has not called back, and nobody has responded to my email. It's been over a month, and this is unacceptable. Kevin was called to our home on boiler issues. It was a difficult maze to unravel and understand our system from the previous owner/installer. Kevin determined the strategy needed for optimal performance of our system and he and his crew worked diligently to upgrade and enhance it.
