I've NEVER once had an emergency that they haven't seen me the same day for! I've spent well over 150k on dental procedures as an adult. Between Lumineers, veneers, a bridge and crowns... This is my favorite Dentist I've ever been to, and the man who teaches how to place lumineers and is their spokesperson was my dentist in LA! Both of the Dentist that I've worked with him. Been hilarious super sweet, super kind, very gentle. I have Ehlers Danlos and cannot open my mouth very wide and they don't give me any shit about it or try and shove those huge blocks in my mouth so they can do work. I would never come back to this office and won't recommend to anyone! Unfortunately, I came here because I saw lots of good reviews on google, but don't let them fool you. They give out free Starbucks coffee for a review. It took dentist 5 minutes to look into my mouth, he didn't even use any tools. The X-rays they did are smeared, so the other professional I visited had to redo those and said I have lots of cavity, which this doctor haven't locate. Somehow toothaches intensify at night...this was the case for my husband. I was desperate to help him, and I Google'd "emergency dentists near me". I was blessed to find this angel of a dentist! Dr. Askari was able to schedule my husband in the following day. His staff and him are very flexible, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the receptionist. She was so welcoming, and made us feel comfortable. If you go here, expect last minute appointment cancellation and hours of waiting and service change. They canceled my fillings appointment same day, few hours before. They made a big deal that appointments cannot be canceled less than 72 hours in advance when I had called them to check if I can postpone since a close friend was transitioned to hospice and needed care (I'm health care professional). I came all the way from San Francisco (train a canceled, spent $80/way on Uber) and then they canceled my appointment few hours before over text! I called front desk and the staff started arguing with me. No replacement. No plan nothing. I asked to speak to manager and front desk says no it's not an option she is willing to give. I told her I work in health care too and we arrange for replacement or inform in advance. She says it's different at this clinic. No dentist wants to come work on weekend. If the dentist didn't come on weekend, we just got to accept it. She said it happens often and patients are willing to get appointments canceled and wait for several weeks - that's just the reality of it. Why do you have weekend appointments if your dentist can't commit to it ? The first visit they told me they will do cavities, which is why I booked. When I went there, after keeping me waiting, they decided that they will only do X-ray although I had already. They wanted their own. Then they booked separate appointment for cavities. Now they canceled that too last minute. They can't guarantee if I book next one it will not get canceled, since the dentist can cancel anytime he/she feels like and they have no backup. I used to send patients to their practice - not anymore. They have all told me about appointment cancellation and long wait times and the center promising one thing and then changing what they will do for the visit. read more

I found Comfort Dental Group from a Google search, they had the best reviews so I called for an appointment. They took me in the next day! When I arrived, I completed a new customer form. They took x-rays and found some issues with my wisdom teeth. Dr. Askari was quick and efficient in telling me what was the matter and how to fix it. He's definitely an expert! And quite funny, which helped calm my nerves! Turned out all four of my wisdom teeth had to be extracted! The technician said the procedure would happen on the same day! I'm not going to lie, I was scared! But Dr. Askari and his team were very reassuring. We went through with the extractions, and were done in less than an hour! Very impressive! This place is so wonderful! I know that may be funny to say about a dental office, but it's true. I reached out last night for an emergency appointment, because I somehow chipped my two front teeth before my graduation this weekend. The staff reached out to me in the morning and I was able to get in a few hours later. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and kind, it was such a warm welcome. Dr. M and her staff were lovely, they presented me with some options, and were able to fix my teeth in 20 minutes. I got an emergency root canal done here about 3 years ago. Woke up two days ago with pain in that tooth, went to my dentist this morning and they checked the x-rays done here at Comfort dental group. turns out the guy who did my root canal here missed an entire step in sanitization and the tooth is now re-infected. i have to get the root canal completely redone. do NOT go here. i assume all the 5 star reviews are due to them offering gift cards for good reviews, which is morally wrong for a DOCTOR to do in my humble opinion. read more

With the SIP my dentist wouldn't take my mother's emergency so we came here because it was the only option. It turned out that Dr. Askari was very skilled and nice to her and gave her good advice about treatments. You can see his experience. I asked for an advice myself since 3 dentists had told me I need to pull a tooth out and he happen to save it and put a crown on it. So I'm told him about my 3yo son who would panic just to hear about the dentist. His pediatric dentist hadn't been able to even take xrays. That was his level of panic. So as he had a decay they were going to sleep him so they could work in his mouth. Luckily the SIP postponed his appointment. Dr. Askari ask me to bring him and not only was able to make him lay on the dentist sit by himself, but made him feel so comfortable that he even treat the decay with the normal anesthetic!!!! This is just him. Now, the hygienists and the front desk staff are AWESOME. They all are nice, polite and warm. They all make you feel calm and welcome. First off, most of these reviews are all fake. They bribe their customers to give 5-star reviews with like Starbucks gift cards. All of that crap hides this practice's obvious dark side. I go in without insurance, BOOM, $198 to get an evaluation. They totally lie when they say that $198 goes to the $398 fee for a tooth extraction. They KNOW and tell you that they're the only emergency dental facility around so these sadists will charge as much as your pain allows and then some so they price their fees like you're buying a TV at Best Buy. So it's $600 to get a tooth removed. What? Meanwhile the staff mask usage isn't all there which boggles my mind at a medical clinic when people's potentially COVID-infected mouths are wide open. Glad I had my KN-95! The stonehearted receptionist who picked up the phone has obviously dealt with fucking people in that same tooth with her mind-boggling obnoxiously cheery attitude mixed with a total lack of compassion or respect for somebody's situation. How do these Gestapo guards actually exist in 2020? The $198 I spent here was the worst deal for the dollar I've ever got in medical care. I was scared thinking that the tooth inside the crowns was infected and I was going to die from tooth infection. Dr. Askari changed my temporary crowns and I felt so much better with the new temporary crowns made by Dr. Askari in his clinic. My previous dentist usually ordered temporary crowns from the lab but Dr. Askari made it in his clinic. I end up having him do 2 permanent crowns and I'm happy with the results. I had a root canal here in May. My old filling fell out on a Friday night and I was frightening and scrambled to search for an emergency dental office that was open. I was grateful that the Dr answered my call on a Friday night and scheduled me in the next morning, and gave me suggestions to take 8 Advil and 3 Tylenol. Unfortunately, that pretty much summed up all the good things I could say about the Dr and the place. 1. On my first visit, before they did anything, they asked me to pay for both root canal and crown. I had Delta dental from my employer, a major tech company in the area. I was given no choice but to give them the credit card to swipe before even being seen. During the entire time, the doctor did not explain what he was doing and had no care about patient's actual comfort. The procedure took about 1.5 hours, he had two assistants on the side and took multiple rounds of x-rays in the middle. I had to hold my mouth open wide the entire time and no one cared. The doctor held no sympathy for that and just kept telling me to keep it open wide when I was almost in tears to hold any longer. Finally, one nurse who had some sympathy gave me a rubber block to bite down to alleviate the stress on my jaw. Why they didn't give me the rubber block in the first place? 2. On my second visit. I asked the doctor to explain to me the steps. He condescendingly answered: "why are you asking me this. oh are you going to do DIY root canal at home?" This time, I asked the nurse for the rubber block myself midway. Skipping to the end, I wanted to express my concern that my teeth seemed to hurt more than usual and wanted to know what's going to happen next. The doctor came in and put on a video and asked me to watch and left. The front desk asked me to schedule to come in to put on the crown in the next 3 days. I refused and said let me rest for a few more days. 3. My teeth confined to pain. It could not be touched and drinking cold water sent a thrilling pain to my brain. It hurt so much that after one week it was not getting better. After one month, it still hurt and the temporary filling had fallen out. I went to a different doctor. They did the filling for me and warned me that a crown cannot be places until my tooth root has been healed completely. 1.5months later, I went back to the 2nd dentist again because my teeth still hurt. They took xray of my root and the root was still inflamed. They didn't want to say bad things about other dentists but said it was really uncommon for the root canal tooth to have such back inflammotries. Unfortunately if I wanted the root to be opened and redone, I would need to pay everything out of pocket since Comfort Dental had drained the root canal charge . It's been 4 months now. My tooth is finally better. When I floss, I still some pain. But I could chew. I had root canal by a specialist several years ago and it was a completely different experience and my tooth healed within 3-4 days. (If you are curious, please see my older review. I don't have many reviews and it should be easy to find; unfortunately that doctor had retired. )This place, opposite of providing comfort, should be by all means avoided. Another suggestion, don't call the first guy showed up on Google ads section. One star for the initial appointment and prompt refund of the crown money when I requested - the expectation had been lowered to that. It should be 0.5 star. Do yourself a favor. Don't go. There is no skill, no professionalism, no sympathy, no comfort. If you see many 3 liner 5 stars, it's because the dental office gives out starbucks gift card if you show them that you had checked in on Yelp and gave a rating. Don't trust them read more

so, i neglected to give serious attention to a back molar that, over a years time, continued to ache more or less all the time! well, things finally came to a head a couple weeks ago. the pain reached a level that demanded immediate attention but it was a friday evening and i wanted to avoid the 'emergency' price tag but i knew my situation was serious from the pain level. after a quick internet search, i found Comfort Dental and thank goodness they offer Sunday appointments!!! i was able to get an 8am appt! upon entering their establishment, i was greeted by Mandy, who could clearly see i was in great pain and was able to deal with my "pain induced meanness" with grace and composure! after some quick paperwork, i was guided to a chair/room by Yanet. Yanet was extremely pleasant and accommodating as well. the room she choose happen to have a flood of sunlight hitting me right in the face and i asked for another room and without hesitation, she whisked me off to the other side of the building which i appreciated immensely! then i met Dr.Sandhu who explained what he was seeing on my x-ray and what he planned to do for my situation. his method/process was literally quick and painless, i kid you not!!! all in all, everyone was attentive, compassionate and communicative and really took good care of me and i couldn't be happier with the results! again, kudos to MANDY, YANET & DR.SANDHU!!!!!!! Great Experience! My husband was having extremely bad tooth pain and it was already after 5pm on a Thursday evening and we were in search of a dentist. Finally, we came across Comfort Dental, my husband called and spoke with Francis, she told him the Doctor would be able to see him that day! We came to the office, it was super clean and organized, the staff was immediately helpful! We then met Dr.Askari and he was very nice and knowledgeable, he made my husband feel comfortable once he examined him and let him know what needed to be done. Dr. Askari even stayed late to take care of my husbands tooth, we were in and out quickly, this by far was the best dental experience we have had! Like others have written, he is outside my insurance network but after this experience, I don't mind and will continue to come here for my future needs because everyone from the receptionist to the staff to Dr. Askari himself made this a seamless experience for me I needed a root canal which is an invasive and intense procedure. First: The Dentist did a great job, my complaint is with Billing and Office Management!! I was charged for a tooth extraction up front on my credit card as my insurance company wasn't available to confirm my coverage (weekend appointment). I had no problem with that having been told that they would send the bill for reimbursement to my insurance company. I followed up a few weeks later and was told they had not received any correspondence or money. A week later I left message offering to take care of dealing with the Insurance myself if they'd provide a detailed bill of services. I did not receive any answer. Instead I received a call another 5 weeks later to schedule a follow up visit. I returned their call telling them that I wasn't interested in another treatment as they had been unresponsive and I still hadn't received any reimbursement. The person on the phone checked my account and told me that I had a credit of $524 on my account. I asked what that credit was for and was told that they had received 4 weeks earlier my insurance reimbursement and decided to credit it to my account unbeknown to me. I got pretty upset and demanded a check for the amount in the mail. I was told at that time that she would pass it on to the Office Manager and have her send a check. Fast forward another 4 weeks and I call again. Same person answering telling me that they hadn't send a check as Office Manager had left for maternity leave and that she was the only one to be able to write a check. She told me that the Manager was expected back the next day and would call me to discuss the refund. I did indeed this time receive a call back from the Manager telling me that she was still on maternity leave and the Dentist was on vacation for for another 2.5 weeks and that they would mail a check end of November or early December. This is at that point 8-9 weeks after receiving insurance payment. I wonder how many other patients aren't aware of credits on their accounts. read more
