The best dental office I've ever been to!! I've tried many different dental offices - with mixed reviews. This is the 1st one where i am comfortable & look forward to my cleanings. Very professional staff & welcoming as soon as you walk in. I used to wear my headset - 1st couple of appts to help ease my anxiety. Thanks to the wonderful human that is Sarah; I no longer have to put on my headset. She puts you at ease & is so skilled that it's a relaxing process. It's a team effort - so Thank you!! Good dentist, disorganized back office. This is a bill I recently received. Notice the date of the procedure compared to the date insurance was billed--almost two years had passed before the Center for Advanced Dentistry billed my insurance. I suspected a problem when my insurance company alerted me that the provider had submitted a claim but did not provide all the documentation needed. I contacted the dentist office multiple times to ask them to resubmit the claim, and each time they said they would get to it soon. Fast forward years later and they finally appear to have gotten around to it. I had already changed dentists because I was uncomfortable with having to be in the role of encouraging a medical provider to bill insurance. This could be an inconvenience for some and a serious issue for others who can't afford an unexpected medical bill. Those who use FSA accounts to pay for medical bills have only a year to spend those funds before they expire, so postponing a bill this long could be costly. My experience with the dentists was positive; it's unfortunate I can't say the same about the back office. read more

I got emails and calls a few times n the past from Center for Advanced Dentistry office for teeth cleaning which I had done a few times in the past there. But when I called in to talk to receptionist asking to valid my dental insurance for cost .... The Office Manager Lisa from Center for Advanced Dentistry office is taking revenge on me for my last bad review about her and her billing . She is really not thinking for customers. She billed me wrong a few times in the past. I am not sure why she demand the patient to get panoramic xray for teeth cleaning instead of bit xray which is covered by delta dental . Panoramic xray is only covered by delta dental every 5 years. So the office manager take advantage of the patient to pay from their own pocket. But bit-xray which is covered yearly. I am really pissed by this demand. A good dental office should think for customers and treat customers fairly and equally. I am totally fine for not going to this office anymore just because of the office manager Lisa but the hygienists and the receptionists are all nice and treat patients with respect. read more

Dr. Lim and his team were great! As someone who has a problem with dental work (crown impressions and installation), I was pleased to work with the CAD. Their sedation dentistry services were what I needed and I was able to complete the process with a minimum of anxiety. Highly recommended. read more

I started dental reconstruction with Dr. Lim in Mar 2022. It took until Oct 2024 to complete the process. In the end Dr Lim's office overcharged me and it took for me to "discuss" this overcharging directly with the Doctor and his office manager. In the end Dr Lim overruled his manager and refunded me the overpayment. I shouldn't have had to "storm" out of his office to get this done as I paid over $42,000 (with $0 from my insurance). Now let's talk about the 2 1/2 years for the process. Excuse after excuse after excuse with me struggling for 2 1/2 years to chew, swallow, and digest food. My final upper teeth are now finished but if I had to rate the entire process including the final dentals I would have to give a 3 out of ten. I would NOT recommend Dr Lim to anyone read more

Dr.lim did a full on upper implants in one day for me. The experience was amazing throughout the whole process I was well taken care of and informed the whole way . The surgery was effective and done in a timely manner. I woukd highly recommend any dental needs that have to do with the establishment. I cant thank Dr.lim enough he has gave me back a major part of my life . Dr. Lim assisted my mother with an all on four dental implant procedure last year. My mother's previous dentist suggested she complete the process over 10 years ago but she was really anxious because of a previous negative dental experience she had so she put the surgery off for many years. My mother was extremely satisfied with her results. Not only was the process pain free (which was a huge concern for my mom), Dr. Lim ensured that my mom was happy with her bite/aesthetics of the implants and adjusted her implants until she was satisfied. My mom's confidence has significantly increased (she no longer covers her mouth when she laughs) and everyone says how much younger she looks. She looks at least 20 years younger with her new teeth! We highly recommend Dr. Lim to those considering all on four dental implants! read more

Dr. Lim is a very caring and dedicated prosthodontist. He was given the impossible task of fitting me with dentures after my tongue surgery and 6 weeks of radiation in my mouth. Stay away from them!!! Very frustrated with the back office and their manipulative financial practices. We will be escalating this legally with insurance. Not sure if it's under Dr Lim's approval or it's their relatively new office manager Lisa, who is trying to get as much as possible from current patients while they can, but the practice is currently providing poor work (the cavity treatments by Dr Perez were unprofessionally done) while charging extra for "high class service" that they claim to provide. The only positive experience is from hygienist Sarah (and previously Dr Grace, who left them 3 years ago) - thus 1 star. read more

We wish that we would have read the reviews here before choosing Dr. Lim for dental implants. His office staff's financial person laid out a treatment plan that was supposed to be inclusive of all of the procedures for 2 implants. Apparently Dr. Lim didn't read the treatment plans and told my daughter that at the next appointment they would put in a temporary implant to train the gums. Then surprise! Oh we don't have that in the treatment plans. He said that would cost an additional $2400...as my daughter is laying in the chair. This is a bait and switch. He didn't take responsibility for the fact that at our previous appointment, he told us that this gum training procedure was coming next. And then he didn't even give us a break on the extra expense, when it was his fault. I am such an idiot for being trusting of his wife's ortho practice and not doing my homework. I can't say enough about Dr Steve Lim. If you are looking for someone who does amazing work then you should stop looking and make an appointment with him. He corrected a failed implant for me and most recently I made the mistake of going to another dentist and my bite was thrown off. Again I went to Dr Lim and he corrected the issue. Going forward I will only go to this office for work. I have spent more money correcting mistakes that others have made. read more

I rarely post one-star reviews, but I really need a place to vent about my horrible experience here. Really disappointed that I had to leave my previous dentist to come here as my dentist retired and sold his practice. I have no issues with the dentists here, but the office staff is very unprofessional and this review is for them. I've dread coming here since Day 1, and have to keep coming back because my teeth is still not completely fixed from the job that was performed here. One day I received a bill and called the office. I explained my situation to the person who answered the phone. She put me on hold for a long time, then came back and said, "She took care of it for you." Me: who took care of it? What does that even mean? Her: "It means... there was a balance... and she took care of it." Me: Then why did I receive this bill? Her: "Um well... I guess she just did it." Me: So in your record, do I still owe anything? Her: "I would have to check on that but our office manager already took care of it. If you would like to talk to her--" Me: Yes that'd be great. I was on another long hold and when the office manager answered the phone, she immediately said, "She already told you that it's taken care of right?" Right. But can I ask some questions? There was no explanation as to what you mean by that. Sounds like she was just trying to get me off the phone because they're closing soon. What does "taking care of it" mean? Why did you have to take care of it? If it's taken care of, why did I receive this bill? Why do I even have to call? Why can't I get a better explanation? So many questions! I ended up figuring it out for myself. This dentist was not in my network, but somehow no one checked my insurance before accepting me as a patient. They obviously could care less about their patients. These ladies need to be a little more professional and explain things because not everyone can read through the lines. Can I talk to someone who is competent in having a professional conversation and does not give their customers attitude? Seems like everyone is getting their bad habit from this office manager, who already has so many complaints on Yelp. And for some reason, she is still here. I'm so glad I finally found a great dental Office. I was in pain and have not been able to get it looked out. When I went to another Dental Office, they just took X-rays and told me they could not do it. But this office was so attentive, the staff was great, I was lost and Steven guided me to the right building. I saw the assistant Cynthia who was so nice and gentle and explained everything she was doing. She was able to answer every question I had. Dr. Tang was able to look at my tooth and told me he could get it fixed right away if I wanted to. I got it fixed the same day, I'm no longer in pain and was able to get into for a cleaning the next day. The hyShiela was great! Super gentle and attentive. Gotta say this office was great! Please do not have dental implant done at Center for Advanced Dentistry.Dr. Steve Lim didn't have an in house lab and he used an out of state lab. The lab did a terrible job with my teeth. The first set of the teeth they gave me had one very obvious gray line in the upper teeth and a very thick gum line. After I asked for a new set of upper teeth , the second set had 2 obvious gray lines and the gum line is still very thick. Dr. Lim doesn't know how to communicate with the lab to order the correct teeth and he blames on me. Dr. Lim is so cheap, he doesn't want to spend money to order a new set upper teeth for me. Otherwise everything will be done now.Because he doesn't have an in house lab, he charges more than ClearChoice and another dental office. Also, he didn't put enough bone graft on 3 of the implants in the lower teeth and it is very painful every time I floss and brush my teeth. He promised me at my first visit that he will make me satisfied.He wanted me to pay him cash upfront. I already paid him 84% ($52000) of the total amount ($62000) in cash. I am not satisfied with his work and the work has not been done. Dr. Lim doesn't want to fix all his mistakes as his promised. Every time I went to his office to fixed my teeth, Lisa the manager was chasing me for more money. Don't go to the Center for Advanced Dentistry to do your dental implant. Now I have to look for another dental office to fix my dental implant. It will be over my budget. I regret that I trusted Dr. Lim in the beginning. He doesn't want to put anything in writing so he doesn't have to take any responsibility. I don't want to give him any stars with terrible, terrible jobs. I feel like abandoned child now. read more

Plan was.for.me.to have a root canal. I went in dreading the day. I'd heard lots.of bad things about root canals. Fortunately in a miracle from God Dr. Thang Nguyen got the decay out of my tooth and expertly closed the cavity up without a root canal. I was told that if it hurts again I'll need to come back from root canal. BUT, the tooth has been given a good chance to heal from the infection without a root canal which is a kind of last resort procedure. I was willing to do the root canal but emphatically expressed myself that I wanted a simple cavity filling option explored. Dr. Nguyen understood my request and now my tooth is being a given a chance to recover. He listened to me and adjusted the treatment plan based on my input. Great Dentist!!! read more

Ever since my dentist urged me to seek out a prosthodontist for a full mouth reconstruction on Dec. 2 2021, my journey of consultations started. After consulting with almost 10 experts - prosthodontists, orthodontist, dentists, even an endodontist, yes, my case is that complicated. Here is my experience with Dr. Lim. He was a patient & kind man who listened, performed only what was absolutely necessary and charged a reasonable fee. When he retired he referred all his patients to Dr. Lim. I went twice, only twice, but was so turned off by the front office staff and even the dentist that I saw AND I never even met Dr.Lim. I've always prided myself on having very good teeth & very few dental problems...EVER...I attribute this to Dr. Dombro! I have never had issues with billing prior to coming here and I have good dental insurance. My dentist of many years retired and this office bought his practice. I had work done today and was quoted one thing prior to my appointment then I have a "mysterious" balance and leave paying way more. I had a rec'd a bill for my daughter who is covered by 3 dental plans so I asked that and was told "it's actually your balance" when I was in there 2 months prior and there was no balance on my account. I requested my statements and there are some transactions which don't make sense. So the balance my daughter supposedly had was added to mine and I had to pay it prior to leaving. If you want to walk away with an expensive bill then this is the place to come. I just cancelled my future appts and will look for another dentist. Staff and dentists are nice but you will never see the same ones. A couple of my coworkers also left after coming here a couple of times. Both of them complained about charges. read more

I went to Dr Lim for a crown (post-op) and veneer. It was a very frustrating experience. The first crown that was made didn't fit and I have to have a temporary crown put in and another made. But the bigger problem was the veneer. The first veneer looked great but the top was missing porcelain near the gum line. Not a big deal but Dr Lim wanted it remade. Had a temporary veneer put on while I waited another 2 weeks for a new veneer. Second veneer comes in and it looks completely different from the first and doesn't even touch the tooth next to it. I had to push back in order to get another one made because Dr Lim insisted it looked fine. I have to wait another 2 weeks to have a third one made. Finally the third veneer comes in and I can tell it does not look like the first one. I told Dr Lim that it looked narrower than the first and he was very short with me, insisted it looked fine. I couldn't figure out what was wrong until after it was bonded and I went home and stared at it. The corner was way too rounded and basically looked like it was missing porcelain. Not what I expect after paying $2k for a veneer. I am definitely not a perfectionist but when it comes to front teeth I want it to look nice, especially at this cost. I would hope a professional would see what looks wrong without me bringing it up and pushing for it to be fixed. This should have been a two week process and turned into two month ordeal. I would not recommend anyone go to this office. I went to another dentist who fixed it and had a MUCH better experience. read more

Dr. Lim's office...Let me start with the good: - The doctors-though there is far too much turnover-are good - The hygienists are great That's it. There's nothing else that is good about this office. The front office is terrible. They do not schedule correctly, they do not re-schedule correctly, they do not quote correctly, they collect too much money always, and if you want to be treated poorly, they're really good at that. They can't even cancel all of your appointments when you quit them as a patient without calling you several times to try to re-schedule you. The back office. If the front office is terrible, then the back office is abysmal. They are the worst of the worst. They do not know insurance and cannot answer simple insurance questions. They do not bill in the office and therefore, timely billing and filing is simply out of the question. They will always ask for money without knowing what you actually owe, and you will always overpay. When you do end up owing money, you won't know until months later, because they don't bill with any regularity-so expect mysterious bills and balances if you are a patient here. After several years and several office staffs, my family and I decided we would no longer tolerate the headache of Dr. Lim's poor staff, poor policies, and expensive service. It's just too much. Steve: Take this advice to heart, because I'm not the only one with the same story. We will miss the relationships we have with our wonderful hygienists, but I'm happy to leave the baggage of this place behind. read more

I had been going to the same dentist for over 20 years--Dr. Dombro was a fantastic dentist; very caring, very professional and thought of his patients as people not paychecks. He tranfered his practice to this outfit and I felt like I was in a car dealership. Every minute in the office I felt like i was being sold something--a special toothbrush, a special service, and told I needed lots of work I never knew I needed. I take care of my teeth and my health and to come here and be told I needed to have two fillings repaced, a front tooth fixed, and a special root procedure was shocking. And,before you could leave, they have someone sit down with you and give you pricing for all these items. I felt like I was in the car dealership going to the finance manager to "close the deal." I decided to follow my gut and go to a different dentist. Turns out, this new dentist did not say I needed anywork and when I mentioned the list of items Lim's office said I needed, the new dentist called Lim's suggestions "excessive." Turns out, I know several other patients who share my experience both based on reviews here and my own family and friends. I wish this office the best of luck but it was not for me and my family. read more

I am not really sure how to rate this! Let me write a detailed timeline and will leave up to the readers to comprehend. I lost a 4-digit figure money and almost a good tooth. - I had a very nice person and doctor as my dentist, who retired. Thus, he transferred me here. He did provide all his findings and estimates to Dr. Lim. - I arrive with a pain in the upper molar tooth, also stating that that I am a transfer patient, my last dentist is aware of the issues and already had given me a treatment plan. However, the office informed they do not take previous records and re-did an evaluation. I complied as there was no other option. - They gave me a treatment plan costing waaaaay more than my earlier prescription. I still say nothing but that as of now, I need an immediate treatment of a specific tooth - They end up treating the wrong tooth!! I was numb so had no idea. Dr digged out a pre-molar and left it open. On touching I understood it was a wrong tooth. On asking, the right tooth was digged up and I was told that needs to be taken out. until then, a "temporary crown will be put". On the wrong pre-molar tooth, they wanted to put a crown on some other day, so it was just left open. - I returned home and when the local anesthesia wore out, I got an intense pain! I called the doctor on emergency, on his cell phone. He asked me to come the other day. When I went the next day, a temporary crown was put on the tooth. Now from here a worse story starts. There was quite a large amount charged on that day, which I had to pay by my personal credit card since my HSA was out of money. They asked me to come back another day for the "permanant crown". - I go the scheduled date, put the "permanant crown" on my pre-molar, which I had no issues with before my first visit! I pay the given amount and come back. - After a few days, I get my insurance claim and I realize that according to insurance, I was charged $x whereas I actually have paid way more than that! I waited for a few months thinking there is a delay, but no claim was made. - I emailed them stating the entire situation and the excess amount that I have paid. This is now months later. They send me a reply saying I was wrong, with an attached ledger, AND agree to a certain excess that I might have paid them which they say they would return. On looking at the ledger I understand that they HAD NOT reported my complete treatment to the insurance at all!! I asked them about it, their reply was "since insurance wouldnt have paid for it". If someone here can confirm if this is a legitimate action, then I can just stop right here. I kept emailing asking for a clarification for months!! After a few more months they finally sent me a check of the small amount they had agreed to have been paid in excess. However, I am on my 15th email in the past 10 months (yes, 10months since then), they are YET TO REPORT my treatment to the insurance, and the difference is of a pretty large amount. They keep saying "we have sent it" or "we have mailed it to your insurance", none of which I believe is true. Now since I paid with my personal credit card, I can not match the claims to reimburse myself from my HSA due to this. Instead of being apologetic, their emails are still claiming that since insurance would never had paid it, it is right to have not informed them. I am at a loss right now, I did wait for such a long time and it was high time I write it up for others to consider. The person I had been coordinating is Wendy. I am not sure who she is apart from the emails. And I spent money in terms of THOUSAND, of which I could have reimbursed from HSA saving hundreds! read more

This dental office is by far the best dental office we have gone to. The office is very clean and they use high tech equipments. This is very reassuring for me and my family having the fact that dental instruments go inside your mouth and I've heard horror stories about people getting sick due to infection and the source being the dental office they recently got treatment from. The overall treatment of staff is beyond excellent. The front receptionists were very friendly and accommodating to all of my questions and needs. The hygienist Sarah is very caring towards our daughter and we appreciate how thorough she was and gentle at the same time. The dynamic between the assistants and the dentists are evidently great because I felt like they really know what they are doing. Just like the rest of the public, we were looking for a dental office that has bedside manner towards their patients. Not only they provided that but their dental work was great compared to the old dental offices I've been to. The best of all was the manager SALLY. She really made sure we had a great dental experience which is ultimately how most of us patients respond to any type of services. She was very thorough with the treatment plans. She is very intelligent because she was able to answer my questions even though they're clinical in nature. The staff seem to show great respect towards her as well and it was evident that Sally treats her staff like family by the way she communicates with them. Overall I'm very happy with the overall experience and if you decide to go this office as a new patient, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. read more
