Don't do it! Peculiar front desk staff, very uncomfortable beds, questionable cleanliness. No stopper in bathtub so you can't use it, floor tiles in bathroom are loose, dirty floors. AC is sooo loud and never quiets down even on automatic- too hot to leave off, looks like 1980's AC. No equipment in the gym works, which consists of two treadmills that you can turn on, they say they're going....they sound like they're going to explode, but they don't move. Back door entrance is broken, but they don't tell you until you are locked out and have to go back up to front entrance!! free breakfast, you get what you pay for--not good, but you can DoorDash Denny's from nearby. Comfort Inn Deming - Room Conditions & Refund Timeline I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Deming, for the 1st time, on July 3, 2026. Note: I have have visited Deming and stayed more than 30 night over last 12 months at other Choice Brand Hotels. * Check-in was delayed because no one was at the front desk; the phone rang unanswered. * First room's air conditioner did not produce cold air, so I was reassigned. * Second room: Around 2:00 a.m., after nearly three hours of tossing & turning, I finally gave up and looked at the mattress, trying to figure out why I was so uncomfortable. I discovered the mattress was severely collapsed. When I pulled back the sheets, I also found multiple holes in the mattress cover. * Rather than continue moving from room to room in the middle of the night, I requested a refund and checked out immediately Since then, I have been told the refund was being processed (5 days); then told to wait longer (7 days), and on Day 11, I called was told to contact Choice Hotels Corporate. Choice Hotels Corporate advised that refunds are issued by the local hotel and opened Case #13524165.They tried reaching out on my behalf. On 7/15 they were told to call on 7/16, and today, to call tomorrow. As of July 16, 2026, some 13 days later, I have not received a refund - and other than my follow up calls to them, I have not received any communication directly from Manager/Owner of Comfort Inn in Deming. The positives: I stayed two nights due to a breakdown, and overall the hotel did right by us. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept -- no issues there. The evening supervisor on the first night was professional, patient, and clearly experienced; she handled her trainee well and treated us with respect. The next morning, the gentleman at the front desk was outstanding -- polite, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He even went out of his way to grab me a bottle of water. Those two employees were the highlight of the hotel staff. The mixed: Breakfast was okay, not great -- standard options, nothing terrible, nothing memorable. The negatives: Night two, the trainee from the first evening returned and her behavior was noticeably different -- overly talkative, erratic, and unprofessional. Nothing dangerous, but it did affect the atmosphere and made interactions awkward. This wasn't enough to affect safety or the overall stay, but it's worth noting. Summary: Rooms are solid, facilities are fine, and two members of the staff were genuinely excellent. This was one of THE WORST hotels I have ever been to. I had 2 rooms reserved for Tuesday May 5th and when I arrived with my infant child and other family there was a group of men outside the front door playing music loudly, drinking beer, and smoking weed. The girl at the front desk was not helpful and she herself seemed like she was high too. Some men from that same group were inside the indoor pool and when I walked past toward my room with my infant child there was a strong smell of weed. When I got to my room which was at the end of the hall on the first floor the door leading to the outside was propped open and more men were standing there smoking so when I opened the door to my room, my NONSMOKING room smelled of smoke. Also the towels for showering in the bathroom were not clean and had hair all over them. A cleaning person left one of their cleaning rags on the dresser of my room and there were things all over the floor. I have never felt so unsafe in a hotel and disgusted by the state of a hotel room in my life. I didn't even stay an hour and packed up my things and went to another hotel nearby. When I voiced my concerns and dissatisfaction to the girl at the front she seemed unbothered and unwilling to help me. I am so disgusted and appalled with the service I received and just everything about this hotel and the staff. I will NEVER stay at a Comfort Inn and Suites again and I will tell anyone who will listen not to either. read more

My recent stay at Comfort inn & Suites was incredibly disappointing. From the moment I arrived, I encountered numerous issues that made my stay unbearable. First off, the front desk staff was rude and unprofessional. They seemed uninterested in helping guests and were downright dismissive when I asked for assistance with my reservation. The check-in process was slow and disorganized, leaving me frustrated before I even got to my room. Speaking of the room, it was a disaster. The cleanliness was non-existent--there was dust on the furniture, stains on the carpet, and the bathroom was disgusting. The towels were thin and frayed, and the bedding looked old and worn. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned or maintained. The noise levels were another major problem. I could hear everything from the hallways and adjacent rooms, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. On top of that, the air conditioning unit was incredibly loud and barely worked, leaving the room either too hot or too cold. The amenities advertised on the hotel's website were also a huge letdown. The "complimentary" breakfast was a joke--stale pastries, weak coffee, and very limited options. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable, constantly disconnecting, which made it difficult to get any work done. When I tried to address these issues with the management, they were indifferent and offered no solutions. It was clear they had no interest in improving the guest experience. Overall, I would not recommend Comfort Inn & Suites to anyone. My stay was uncomfortable, stressful, and far below the standard of what I expected. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. I would recommend that based on my experience that you do not stay at any Choice Hotels specifically the Comfort inn suites I just spent 7 days in a Choice Hotels specifically the Comfort inn suites. The 6th night I returned to my room. I just wanted to shower and go to bed. The room had not been Cleaned, the garbage was still full, no towels to shower with, no toilet paper, no clean sheets. I called to let them know the room had not been cleaned, someone brought yup up a few towels barely enough to take one shower. He looked at the room and took photos, he said he was shocked no one had been there. When I checked out I asked to speak to a manager , I was told there is no manager here, I called back no manager here, no manager here. When I retuned home I called Customer Relations after explaining everything and answering all the questions the lady just hung up. I called Customer Relations back, explained everything again. I asked for a discount or them to comp the room for that one night. I was told to do that I would have to call the manager (the one who is never there). Instead they said they would give me a free room credit next time I Stay with them. No refund but if you spend more money we will nock some off , what a joke and if all that was not enough the beds were the hardest mattress's I have ever had to sleep on . woke up with a back pain every day read more

Rated this 5 out of 5 for the town it is in. My family stoped here in this town at a motel heading out and definitely was worst then this. Heading back we stopped here late let me just say it was night and day compared to the other place. Beds were amazing especially after a long 11 hour drive. Breakfast definitely could of been better and there was a shortage. Wish we could of tried the swim area and gym out. The only negative thing I have to say about this establishment was when we checked in at 0130 the room was really warm and took a while to cool down with the ac low and on high, but remember where you are and how hot it gets during the day this time of year. I am so so disappointed I booked this hotel,I explian to the front desk we have some issue with the car door, we would be more comfortible to have the room can see our car hotel is facing a gas station , and there is sonic fast food on the otherside, can not parking i requested the room with window facing the parking lot, i check in at 5 pm early enough , they said the room facing to the parking lot room is $60 more, that is the ripoff, end up we go to the difference hotel in town , because we book through priceline, we can not get the money back. that is a lesson to us, this hotel is not going to try to help you out , try tto rip you off if you prepaid . read more

Worse hotel experience ever. DO NOT stay here. Free breakfast... Everything is free if there is nothing available. No food no milk no help! I knocked on the office door I called the phone number I could not get any help for anybody to put out some food and milk. Had to go somewhere else to get a shower because there was no hot water. Bed with the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. I should have just slept in my truck and save the $100. I will never ever stay at a choice hotel again. Wish that I could give a negative star.. I've stayed at Choice hotels a lot, but this was the worst experience that I've had. I booked this hotel because the Hilton property was full and we wanted a place with a pool and a hot tub. We got there late because of an accident on HWY 26. We found out that the pool and hot tub are closed. Not because the time, not because of a malfunction, but because of new management. We also asked for a late check out, but the night time front desk person was very rude and would not give us any extra time. The room was clean and comfortable, but it was not worth getting treated like that from the staff. I won't be back to this place. read more

We got in late so we didn't spend much time here. The hotel and rooms were clean, the breakfast was limited but good, there is an indoor pool, hot tub and workout room. The neighborhood was clean, the parking lot seemed lit and safe for our vehicle & camper and best of all the staff was very friendly. I'd visit again if I came through the town again. read more

My stay here was perfect! Not a lot to do or see in the area, but great place if you're stopping in for the night. The room was super clean, the breakfast was great, lots of options--waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereal bar, fruit & yogurt, coffee, juice and pastries. Onsite laundry, indoor pool looked great! The staff was friendly, the woman at the front desk gave me a room closest to the back door that way it would be easier to take my dog out. I chose to stay at this hotel while visiting a grave site in demming and a weekend road trip. I stood friday and Saturday night. I asked for towels and they said all there towels were missing and they did not have anymore. I turned on the coffee pot in the room and eater over flowed out of the bottom. I then used the only wash towel that was in the room to wipe it up to prevent it from falling on floor. I then got home and noticed a 50$ charge . I called to ask what it was for. They told me I ruined towels. I can not believe this considering we had no towels but the one hanging and the wash towel with coffee on it. 50$ is alot to charge but I guess since they said from. Thier words someone was stealing towels they had to replenish them some how . I'm sure since the wash towel was white. Bleech would have took the coffee right out. I'm confused disappointed and I will never use them again. Thanks for the stay. Hope the 50$ buys a few towels that others stole. I should have took the wash cloth home since I paid 50$ for it . We stayed here with 3 other couples. None of the phones worked, the tvs required extra help from the front desk, the rooms were hot and the best of all no one received a wake up call. When I arrived, I was told that our room was not clean, and they would not give it to us, there were no other rooms available in the hotel and they would not refund our money. I drive between Roswell and Los Angeles about 10 times a year, and always stay at this hotel. The staff is super friendly and quick to check you in. The rooms are so quiet and clean. The free buffet breakfast is always a nice bonus, so you don't have to worry about going out to breakfast! The king bed and direct tv makes for a cozy night. My second visit did not disappoint. Clean entrance, clean parking lot, clean rooms, friendly folks. I am a veteran Hilton Honers, but I have turned to the Comfort Inn. Rooms are well equipped with coffee, soaps and a cool room. it was 103 getting here, so it nice to walk into a cool room. Breakfast is what impresses me. The gravy and biscuit, waffles and a pancake machine. Diced hatch chilis (don't forget to use em), granola for your hot oatmeal, sausage links and scrambled eggs for you. We stayed here on Our way to California from Texas. Our stay was so great we decided to stay here again two weeks later on our way back home to Texas. Our first stay was amazing! We booked 2 rooms for 8 people. Rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean. Great breakfast. Lots of breakfast items. They have a indoor pool which was awesome! Only complaint I have was the second time we stayed and went to the pool, the pool area smelt like urine really bad plus we were kicked out of the pool 30 minutes before closing. Whats the point of having a "closing time" if you are going to close it 30 mins early. People might go down and get in the hot tub the last 30 mins of opening. 30 minutes is all you need. read more

Very clean, friendly staff, and very affordable, around $60/ night with free wifi and free hot breakfast. The hallway smelled like fresh materials, and it looked like rooms were being remodeled. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are indoor and that whole room has that great woodsy cedar scent of the sauna. read more

Stayed here for one night on our road trip to California, we didn't even shower because the mold and tub were DISGUSTING and a couple of the towels were yellow stained. They left trash in the freezer from the people that were there before us. However, the beds were very comfortable and clean. And the breakfast was pretty good. read more

BED BUGS!!!!! Do NOT stay here! My husband and I drove through Deming two days ago on a very long trip from Texas. This was the only hotel we stayed at on our trip. The hallways in this place reeked of cigarette smoke The bathroom still had hair on the floor but we were too tired to find somewhere else. I got up yesterday with about 25 to 30 bites on my left upper arm and leg. I couldn't figure out what it was until I did some research. On a business trip we booked a room. When we got into the room, the chair next to the bed was covered in white animal hair. Also the bed next to the chair was dirty. The cover and folded down sheet had dirty brown spots. Tried using the phone to call the front desk but it didn't work. Went to the front desk and got a different room which was stifling hot and wouldn't be cooled down in time for us to sleep well so we got another room. The third room was good. Was going to call down to the front desk and that phone wasn't working either. I guess they don't want customers bothering them. The next day we needed a late checkout of at least 2 pm since we had to tend to business. We requested a late check out and they were only giving us till noon, only 1 additional hour. We explained to them what we went through as well as being a gold member. Yet they wouldn't give us a later check out. However, they did tell us that if we checked out later than 12, we would be charged a fee. Needless to say, this the worst Comfort Inn & Suites that we've been to and we will not return. read more

Our family are headed to San Diego and decided to find a room in Deming and came across Comfort Inn and Suites, called to see about vacancy, it was about 8:30pm Saturday June 30, the lady answering the phone was not only professional, but very courteous and I asked if there's vacancies for 3 rooms and one pet, and she said yes. Then I asked about the rate and she assured me she'd give us a good deal especially because we were getting 3 rooms. We finally arrived a little after 9pm, it was a little busy inside parking lot was full, so that told us this place must be great to stay! Went in to get rooms and the young lady helping us was still so nice and professional!! Gave us a great rate for rooms. I had mentioned we'd probably be gone before breakfast at 6am and she told us then she'd have breakfast ready by 5am for us. Wow! Not even big hotel chains like Hilton would offer that. We are definitely staying here again when passing through. Such a lovely hotel, great front desk, delicious hot breakfast! I mean what more could you ask for? read more
