Stayed for one night on our way to see family in Texas. I have had some health issues, so getting enough sleep is important to us. Got showered and dressed and about to get in bed when we heard dogs barking. The big one (we could see them outside) was howling and barking incessantly. I called the front desk and gently told them about this, which I'm sure they knew as the dogs were just outside the entrance. OK, they would mention it to those people. Quiet for a few minutes...then louder barking than ever. I waited a bit, then called to ask them to do something about it. This guy's suggestion was for us to get out of bed and he would put us in a different room. I suggested he move the other people, since they had the dog. Then...nothing. I realized HE HUNG UP ON ME. Wow, Hampton, your standards have really gone under. My husband was gonna go down and give them his opinion, but after about 15 more minutes, it got quiet outside. On this trip, I became a gold member, which means nothing to me anymore. There will be some long, hard thinking before staying at a Hampton again soon, and it will NEVER be at this one in Deming, NM. They had to change our room last night because when we arrived our TV didn't work. The desk clerk acted confused on what to do, so after me asking first for New batteries, then second a new remote which neither worked then I asked for a new room...he said I guess!! I said " Yeah I do guess I don't want to have to call corporate over a simple room change". But he did! We changed! All was fine! I went to bed, no global meltdowns..I was proud of myself !!! This was an overpriced points redemption. This property used to be only 10,000 points a night but in the last while, they have raised it to 20,000 points and that's 10,000 points too many. I'm disappointed with this new pricing scheme. For 10,000 points, this would be great. It's clean, it was quiet, it is close to the highway, the breakfast was consistent with the Hampton brand (and I've stayed at over 70 Hampton Inns in the last dozen years, 10 in the last two years https://www.yelp.com/collection/eAMN-dsXYE_JjkcSLkQUoA/All-hail-Hilton) and there was sufficient parking. This is no bargain at all. Oh, and when you turn off the lamp, that also turns off the outlets on the lamp. Most importantly I wouldn't recommend any single women staying at the hotel as the outside locks DO NOT WORK and anyone can walk in at anytime. When we entered to check in around 7 pm, the gentleman at the reception desk was taking a reservation and had a lady customer on speaker phone. The phone volume was loud enough that anyone standing in the reception area could hear her and she spoke her credit card information per his request. Thankfully for her, no other guests were in the reception area and my partner and I are honest people. Secondly, we checked in with the app the previous day and requested a 4th floor room. The gentleman assigned us a 3rd floor room and when we asked why we didn't get our original room he rudely said "I'm not sure why you were allowed to pick that room. It's dirty" and dismissed us. We would not stay at this location again being treated this way and hearing how careless they are with people's personal information. read more

A nice surprise basically in the middle of nowhere! I've stayed at many Hampton Inns, but the staff at this one went above and beyond, plus the hotel has a happy hour with free wine and beer and nice appetizers, plus they sell wine and beer at the front desk. Only negative comment is it was on the expensive side given the location, but it appears to mostly cater to people on expense reports. read more

This was a treat and here's why.... Cleanliness: everything from the remote control being in a bag to the room being extremely clean, I was beyond comfortable in this room. Sanitizer around the hotel, and everything appeared to be spic and span! Breakfast: this was a full breakfast. On our road trip we have been grossed out by some of the "free breakfast". Here it's clean, tons of options, and an attendant to help you with your needs. Nancy was on staff and was a huge help. All the channels you and your kids could want on the tv, but why watch tv when you can swim?!?! The pool is open from 6am- 10pm, so early birds and late check ins can enjoy. I booked this hotel using the CLC Lodging Network and paid for the room. I had a crew that needed to stay the night as they are transporting goods to California for a customer. The crew went to check in at around 7pm and the receptionist said their manager said they will not rent to them because this guy shares a name with another individual that was kicked out a while back for "smoking in the room and arguing with the manager." I tried to reason with them and explain that my crew member s middle name is the same as the others first name and they share the same last name and that he and my company have never stayed at his establishment. But they wouldn't listen. The manager get didn't even bother to ID him by anything other than the name. They have been reported to CLC and are now being investigated for breach of contract on a discriminatory basis. This establishment isn't worth your time or money. read more

Both stars are for the hotel accommodations. What breaks the experience here is the service. Why put a girl with a terrible attitude at the front desk????? Why be in customer service is you have none? Whoever was working the evening shift on Sunday, December 30, 2018 needs refresher training. Here's what happened: I walk up to the front desk at 5:10pm and ask if they had cookies. The front desk girl says, "I haven't gotten to it yet." I asked, "aren't they supposed to be available at 5pm?" She answers, "there's no set time, they come out whenever I get to it!" No apology or excuse about why no cookies or why they're late. Needless to say, they never came out. Meanwhile, my colleague changed the lobby channel to watch sports. With his back turned, the front desk girl changed it back to the generic weather channel featuring infomercials. When my colleague asked if he can change it back, the same attitude girl said no. She didn't provide any explanation. So rude. I expect better as a silver member. read more

Let me start by saying the gal who handles the morning breakfast was the shining star! She was on top of everything and extremely sweet. Now on to the rest... The hotel is and was dirty from the public areas to rooms. Spent 6 nights for work and not once did housekeeping clean our room even after asking. The pool was disgusting and filthy. The pool restroom was never cleaned and trash in and around the pool was not emptied. Actually the only place trash was emptied was in the kitchen/breakfast area. They tried to keep the guest out of the lobby/breakfast area by putting up the chairs and during the light down as low as they would go. There is no water dispenser for guests and when asked for water the desk clerk was rude and snapped that he would charge us for the water. The same clerk asked us 3 times what room we were in as we came down for breakfast before heading out to work. The treatment was as if were sneaked in just for breakfast. Sadly there was no manager available to discuss the condition or issues that arose otherwise that would have been done. This hotel needs major work from cleaning to guest services, do not stay at this hotel. read more

On the Saturday afternoon when we checked in the young woman at the front desk could barely contain her excitement at having just received news that the Deming Hampton had been given a "Connie Award". Named after Hilton founder Conrad Hilton (Hamptons are a Hilton property) this is a big deal for a small town Hampton. Apparently awarded here for good GSI (Guest Satisfaction Index) scores. That was our first glimpse at the pride in ownership among all hotel employees that makes this a very good choice if you're passing through Deming. Arguably this hotel is the class of the company of all Deming lodging. BOTTOM LINE: This is a relatively new Hampton so staying here provides the benefits associated with most new hotels - not much wear and tear to date in rooms or public spaces. There were mostly good things here. We'd stay here again if we were in Deming. STAFF: Very friendly. Efficient check in and check out. SPARKLING CLEAN: Everywhere: Public spaces and rooms. ROOMS: Comfy beds and pillows, although rooms smaller than most other Hamptons we've used. Bathroom well laid out with shower only - a format we like a lot. Good quality towels, Grab bar in shower great safety add. Lots of counter space. BREAKFAST / GATHERING ROOM: Spacious, attractive, lots of seating. BREAKFAST: Standard Hampton fare - as long as hotels offer yogurt and fruit, we're happy. NOISE: We had a third floor (top) floor room, facing front so while quieter for freeway noise, there was a "clunking" during much of the night that sounded as if it was coming from roof vents above(?). TIPS 1) ROOMS IN FRONT HAVE LESS FREEWAY / TRAIN NOISE: Added benefit of front facing room is nice outlook on mountains too. 2) AVOID ROOMS AT FRONT THAT SIT ABOVE THE POOL: Outside patio at pool with doors opening on to it means that sound travels up. 3) NICE LITTLE WINERIES IN TOWN WITH TASTING ROOMS: If you're looking for things to do in Deming, you might consider these. Luna Rossa Winery is a small endeavor by husband - wife owners, he a vintner originally from Italy, great fun to visit with a very nice tasting room. Also big wine producer St. Claire Vineyards has a Deming tasting room. read more

The room is beautiful. The front desk staffers, Robert and Marcus, frigging amazing. The bed.. I am not going to be able to tell you. I'm handicapped. I ask for a handicapped room. The bed is higher than my knee. I cannot get into the bed. I'm in a frigging wheelchair. I can't exactly STAND. The bed is too high. Whoever designed the handicapped room, isn't handicapped. What an idiot designer. Handicapped people need lower beds. What the HELL were you thinking? The bathroom, is HUGE. The shower is so nice.. except::the bench they put in, is so far back, do they think I have monkey arms, to turn on the water? The hand held shower is 5 ft from the floor. um.. disabled, mean anything to you? If I sit in the bench.. there is nothing I can do no water.. no shower head.. disabled.. I am disabled. This area definitely felt safe. Loved the breakfast area they had as I haven't been to a hotel where there were smoothies and an egg frittata. Usually they're just scrambled eggs. The waffles looked good, but I didn't have any. Room was clean, price not bad for a last minute reservation being an hour out from arrival. read more

Stayed at the Holiday Inn next door last time we were in town but this place was much better. The cleanliness, hospitality and overall vibe was much better and I like that they're plants are real, makes it feel homelike. They had a room available for us without a reservation and they allowed our French bulldog with no pet fee. They also do a military discount which is great for a traveling military family. Very reasonable comparing to Las Cruces. There are many fast food places, but we chose to bring the food back to the hotel to eat since the City does not seemed safe. If I have to complain about anything it would be the elevator makes a loud noise when it stop on the 3rd floor. read more

I struggle with this review since the our first stay was great but when we returned the next week it was horrible. This hotel is very pet friendly which was why we were there. My mom and I were traveling home to AZ for Christmas and she had her two small dogs with her. We arrived about 830pm. My husband had checked us in the day before on the app and we requested and were assigned the room we had the week before. We even had a screen shot of our room assignment. When we got there our room had been given to someone else and we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. Our room did not have a working light at the door entry, actually no fixture at all, no smoke alarm, the microwave didn't work and the tv didn't work. There was also no secondary locks on the room door for us to lock from the inside. When asked when I checked in why our room was given to someone else I was told that hotel was overbooked and we just had to deal with what they had. Once we got settled in to the room we discovered that the TV had no service so I called the front desk. They said they would be there in about 10 mins later. After 30 mins they didn't arrive so I called again and they said that we needed to give them more time. Another 30 min passed and we got tired of waiting so decided to call it a night. We tried to call down to the front desk to cancel the request to have the tv fixed and kept getting disconnected. So we decided to put a do not disturb sign in door. Well, a few minutes later the front desk person and a manager came knocking on our door. They reset the direct TV box and said it would in a few minutes. Once the rest room place the remote wouldn't work so I walked down to the desk and asked for batteries. The front desk said they don't have batteries then I asked for a new remote she reluctantly went in back and came back with a new remote. Well that remote didn't work either so I went back to front desk and she responded that several tvs are not working in the hotel and I had to deal with it. That is when I had had enough I asked to speak to a manager and was told she had just left and there was no one I could speak to. I stated I was assigned a room that had issues including no smoke alarm and she said they knew there was not smoke alarm in the room. She still would not get me in contact with anyone besides her. I then said that if I don't get someone to talk to then I will call the fire department to let them know they are renting rooms with smoke detectors. That was when she called her manager and they assigned us a different room That room was to the standard we expect from Hampton Inn. To be transparent the hotel did refund our room. We are Hilton Honors members and booked directly through their website and not a third party vendor and paid for our room not using any points or rewards. read more

We booked our room .. choose it on the Hilton app... got my electronic key... got in late went to my room and there were people that were already in it. Went to the front desk and they said that their manager had reserved that room... I said that it was reserved ... by me and showed him the electronic room key. I traveled with my elder aunt which is why we reserved the bottom floor now we have to be on the second floor. Manager taking rooms from guests super unprofessional. Part2. Went down next day to let the front desk know what had happened and to explain that my digital key was still showing for the original room. He explained that the manager had needed that room last night but was gone today. The digital key is not fixed I can still access the original room. This is unsafe and this manager and staff are un phased as this sounds like their manager does this all the time. Don't stay here ... it's unsafe. read more

Found this Hampton Inn while in route, they were a bit off the road and around the bend, but well worth the GPS directions once we arrived! The staff was really nice even late at night. We had a room mix up and they corrected it immediately and very politely! The hotel has a nice workout facility and a great hot breakfast as well as free Wi-Fi. The hot breakfast was so good, our kids didn't want to leave, they wanted to see what they were having for lunch. We enjoyed our stay at Demming Hampton Inn. read more

Not many choices for a known brand hotel aside from the Holiday Inn(believe it's an Express) next door. Working on my Diamond Status for the Hilton brand so this is the choice for Deming New Mex. Check in process was super slow although I made reservations on line and checked in on the app. Mark, gotta be faster than that. Room was a bit outdated, my microwave didn't work but didn't find that out til I tried to zap a piece of pizza late at night..FAIL! Beds were absolutely terribly uncomfortable. Another coworker mentioned that to me after the second stay and that was why he was at the Holiday Inn next door. (Dually noted sir). No outdoor BBQ grilling area but luckily we happened to have coworkers staying there that had one so plenty of time was spent grilling out back instead of in the actually hotel. They had laundry facility with 3 washers and dryers, Fitness area was larger than other Hamptons that I've stayed at and had the free weights. Free breakfast was average hotel spread, but I especially liked the smoothies. So,the reason for the 2 stars was the lady that worked the breakfast room, most of these employees at the hotel don't get enough credit...make sure to leave a tip wherever you are next time when at a hotel eating a free meal! She was always welcoming and greeted everyone with a Good Morning and asked if all was to our liking, Hats off to her. read more

On a road trip fromAustin, Tx to Los Angeles, California. Decided to spend a night here. EXCELLENT hotel. Very clean, rooms in pristine conditions. Very pleased with out stay. Mattresses are excellent, comforters and pillows were divine! If you're looking for a place to stay in Deming, NM, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel. We also indulged in their fitness facility and Pool/Whirlpool, both VERY well kept and clean. We had their amazingly fresh breakfast, fruit, oatmeal, cereals, waffles, etc... Pleasant staff; clean, comfy room; nice breakfast We popped in here in the middle of the night, last minute, on a cross-country drive. We really needed a few hours sleep and hot showers. Staff was helpful and quick. The room was quiet, clean, beds comfy, everyone slept very well. Breakfast was a nice bonus. After 2 hours on the road again, my daughter realized she had left her glasses behind. A nervous phone call was made to the front desk who said housekeeping would look for them. This location represents a great value in the Hilton chain of hotels. I love stopping here when on long road trips heading West and on the way back home. There is a winery, St. Clair Winery, only about two miles away and it's open late. Super friendly, energetic service from young lady(and her trainee) at 2am arrival (she really set the tone for a great stay) on Nov 20 and friendly, though less energetic service from a guy on Nov 28 at 930 pm. Rooms and hotel are very clean, nice decor, very comfy beds and great linens. Lots of hot water and good water pressure. Easy check in and check out. Good breakfast with friendly server. Has cereal, oatmeal, pastries, breads, spreads, fresh waffles, fruit, yogurt and a hot egg dish and breakfast meat. Juices, teas, milk and coffees. I've stayed twice in 10 days and will stay again on my trips between CA and TX. There is no restaurant at this exit, you must go back into Deming an exit to find dinner. But they do sell snacks at the front desk. PS I managed two resort hotels for 6 years so I know the business. Kudos to the management! read more

Decided to stay here during our road trip, it is easy to locate, the grounds are well kept, the hotel looks brand new from the outside... inside does tell a different story, you can tell it's older, a lot of worn/dated stuff (carpet, chairs, etc.) but that wouldn't keep me from staying here again. Room had a mini fridge and microwave, beds are comfy enough. Breakfast was good, staff was on top of keeping everything stocked. So the outside was clean and well maintained. The inside was also clean. The room was nice and everything worked. I do a lot of traveling, so there are some things that are important to me that may not be to other people. First I smoke, so a bench that is placed out of the wind and not right in front of the front doors is a must. I don't feel the need to be on display for everybody walking in. Second when I come in after 8hrs of driving and multiple assignments I want to be checked in quickly. The front dest was friendly, courtous and professional. However he was not fast, there were two people ahead of me and one behind me. It took a while. Then I got to my room and the room access cards did not work. Had to go back down stairs and wait in line again. These may be little things to other people but to me they took what could have been a relaxing stay into just a place to sleep. read more
