I stayed here for three months, so I had a few requests during that time, and they were always addressed quickly and professionally. The complimentary breakfast is another highlight. There is a good variety of options, including fresh coffee, cheese omelets, pancakes, fruit, and other breakfast favorites. Upon returning home, we discovered what appeared to be bed bug bites, raising serious concerns about the condition of our room. I sent three emails to the property, called the front desk, and even contacted Choice Hotels corporate customer service. Corporate informed me that this was a property-level issue that local management needed to address. Despite all of my efforts, no one from the hotel has contacted me to acknowledge my concerns, explain whether the room was inspected, or tell me what, if anything, was done. What is most frustrating is not only the potential bed bug concern, but the complete lack of accountability. A simple phone call or email explaining the findings or the steps taken would have shown that management cares about its guests. Instead, I have been ignored. Bed bug concerns should always be taken seriously, and guests deserve timely communication and transparency. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here. Note: I have have visited Deming and stayed more than 30 night over last 12 months at other Choice Brand Hotels. * Check-in was delayed because no one was at the front desk; the phone rang unanswered. * First room's air conditioner did not produce cold air, so I was reassigned. * Second room: Around 2:00 a.m., after nearly three hours of tossing & turning, I finally gave up and looked at the mattress, trying to figure out why I was so uncomfortable. I discovered the mattress was severely collapsed. When I pulled back the sheets, I also found multiple holes in the mattress cover. * Rather than continue moving from room to room in the middle of the night, I requested a refund and checked out immediately Since then, I have been told the refund was being processed (5 days); then told to wait longer (7 days), and on Day 11, I called was told to contact Choice Hotels Corporate. Choice Hotels Corporate advised that refunds are issued by the local hotel and opened Case #13524165.They tried reaching out on my behalf. On 7/15 they were told to call on 7/16, and today, to call tomorrow. As of July 16, 2026, some 13 days later, I have not received a refund - and other than my follow up calls to them, I have not received any communication directly from Manager/Owner of Comfort Inn in Deming. Because of my bad shoulders, and my room was upstairs (no elevator, ugh!), the desk clerk helped bring my luggage upstairs, which I thought was very thoughtful of him. And, when I went to give him a tip, he turned it down! And the next morning, the same guy was on shift, and he helped me get my luggage to the car. And again, did not accept a tip! I had parked right in front of the lobby in order to check in, and unload my luggage, which was a red zone. So when I went to move my car, the clerk told me that I could leave it there. However, the driving instructor in me couldn't handle that. Haha. But he did let me park my car in front of the low brick work, which is still right in front of the lobby. Now I don't mind the carpet being a bit messy, as overall the room is very clean and tidy. But, the bed is firmer than I would like (a decent nights' sleep). The A/C works well. Though, the cycling on/off is a bit noisy. Now, this will bother some people, but not others. While I enjoy having the A/C blow directly on me while driving, and after working outside, I don't like it blowing on me while I'm trying to sleep). And, there was no way to deflect it, except for bringing the sheet all the way up. At present it is still daylight, so I don't know what effect outside lighting will have on the room. But if I need to add anything, I will edit the review tomorrow. Several of the electrical outlets are loose. Either the receptacle would push in, when I try to plug in something. Or, was so loose that the slightest tug would dislodge my cell phone charger. Other than the carpet, the noisy cycling of the A/C and a little bit of mildew in the grout of the shower tiles, the place is really very nice, and quiet! And, the night time view with a room, was night time! The water in the bathroom was nice and hot and the pressure was pretty good too. However, I was surprised that there were no grab bars in the shower. Edit 1: Well, I'm glad I'm not here for the view. While I do overlook the courtyard and pool, I also have a great view (sarcasm intended) of the roof of the restaurant kitchen. Edit 2: Forgot to mention the Wi-Fi. While I'm use to using it at home, to help save bandwidth on my cell phone bill, I don't use it very often in the field... However, the Wi-Fi here was very reliable, and imo very fast. At no time, did the connection drop. Nor, was connecting an issue.

Worth every penny plus more. Cass greeted us warmly and got us into our room very quickly. About ten minutes later she brought me some cooling aloe for my sunburn. I can't say I've ever been treated so thoughtfully from a front desk attendant in my life. I also loved the neon sign out front but a few of the letters were burnt out. This place is charming and friendly and I would recommend it to all travelers. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm passing through.
