I had a great stay at the Comfort Inn in Grafton, WI. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and nothing stood out as being dirty or neglected. The room was comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure, which was a nice bonus after a long day. The hotel is also dog-friendly, making it a great option if you're traveling with a pet. There's a pool, and a complimentary continental breakfast is included with your stay. Breakfast offered a nice variety, including bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, and a make-your-own waffle station. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would definitely stay here again. They advertise a Hot tub, say it is broken today but may be fixed tomorrow...but of course it isn't 4 days later. This may be an active choice by property owner Patel ... this ownership group appears allergic to maintaining hot tubs when they buy a new property. Looks like the Baymont they bought in Meqoun permanently closed the hot tub right after owner change. read more

Welcome to the DISCOMFORT INN. Entire place including the room looks and smells dirty. Hallways and rooms smell musty, old, and smoky. Room still stunk after being aired out. A POOPY wipe was found underneath our toilet when we arrived . Another suprise, a old jellybean (we hope) was found disintegrating at our bedside (a leftover midnight snack, perhaps). We can only hope the towels and sheets were clean. Bathroom/shower needed some TLC. "Hot breakfast" was an overstatement, bagels, pb&js, no other fruit BUT 4 (COUNT 'EM) tangerines for the ENTIRE HOTEL. They couldn't stand to provide cream for coffee either, despite a grocery store within walking distance. We have stayed here several times over the past 5 years, and safe to say we will N O T coming back. read more

Came here after a recent Packers game since it was the only modest hotel within my price range. My stay here was casual. Great basic amenities that you can generally find in every hotel. Great parking all around the hotel and there's plenty to do around the area as well. Rooms were mostly clean but it did have a weird smell in the room and the windows were open for some reason. Parts of the ceiling were peeling as well. Not the best breakfast either. read more

I kick myself every time I stay here (yes...I said "every" because, despite my better judgement, I come back). Why do I come back? It is close to my son. It is affordable. We have tried the other hotels nearby (Hampton and Marriot-brand). Those are twice the cost and have EPIC highway noise problems. Brown Deer Road chains abound with sports teams. But I digress... the Comfort Inn provides exactly what you might expect for $62/night...marginally attentive staff, beat-up furniture, rough towels, lumpy pillows, and rowdy sports teams with unattended, noisy pre-teens (I don't hold this against the hotel). I will say something nice...there is a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. There is a Starbucks very close by. I cannot comment on the free breakfast b/c we always go to a restaurant. So all in all, I never like it. But alas...until my son leaves the area I will probably be back. Note: I seem to rail against the sports teams. I'm really not...traveled with my kids' teams and they probably annoyed other travelers. The difference is in how the hotel staff manages them (ok...the parents too). read more

I have found nothing wrong with this hotel. Good price. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's clean - including the room, halls, lobby, facilities, and the property. It's the nicest Comfort Inn I've stayed in 2021. There is a Costco and a Meijers close by. There is a local bakery around the corner. It's about 10 to 15 minute drive to a little town with nice restaurants, but there are some nice places to get food very close - such as a Subway and a Noodles. Concordia University is 10 to 15 minutes, and a very easy drive from here. The room was fairly quiet - no road noise in my room. I could hear the adjoining room closing their door, and occasionally water running. Most of the time it was dead silent - kinda spooky after some places I've stayed ! Overall, this is one of the nicest Comfort Inn I've stayed at in a long time. It's not a 5 diamond hotel, but Comfort Inns aren't - it's a solid 5 star, though. read more

I stayed there over the weekend. After midnight a drunk hotel guest started yelling up and down the hallway. I immediately called the front desk and asked for assistance. Twenty minutes later the person is now yelling in conversation with more people. I call the front desk again and they advise that they called the person and told them they need to be quiet. I tell them that obviously did not work. He stated he would deal with it. Another 15 minutes of yelling conversation go by and this time when I call, I demand to speak to the manager. He advised that he is the manager. I tell him that this is very disappointing and that they haven't even quieted in the hallway at all. He finally did something about the issue. It shouldn't take the phone calls to the front desk to resolve this kind of issue. We paid 160 dollars to stay at this hotel, and the one thing it couldn't do is allow us to sleep (which is the bare minimum for any hotel). read more

We almost always travel with our dog and this inn says it is pet friendly. That being said, we have stayed at LaQuinta inns numerous times and never had to pay an additional charge for our dog. We have also stayed at inn where we had to put a deposit down for the dog, refunded if there was no mess or damage. This inn, however, charges an additional $20 for the dog. When questioned the desk lady commented that even though we had a NICE dog, she had a NICE dog too, AND SHE ONLY WORKS THERE! Not really great customer relations. We told her that her attitude was unacceptable and that we would make other accommodations. After that, we read other YELP reviews and found this place a bit iffy at best. It did have the best prices in the immediate area (Grafton Wi) but the $20 up charge put it much closer to the next priced inn. Perhaps it best if you look around a bit. read more

When I checked into my room I noticed a strong smell of insecticide. Soon I discovered why! Bed bugs! I have heard of bed bugs but never thought I'd get them. However in the middle of the night on August 8 stay , I was awakened by biting On my arms and neck. By 6 am I had 15 bites! (This diagnosis of bed bugs was made by an ER doctor ) the following day. We stay here every year and the bed is amazing. So much so that I wont stay anywhere else when I am in the area. Our only problem was, that we stayed in room 419 and the deadbolt was way off, about an inch. I don't think that was any shifting of the foundation, as the desk clerk suggested when we checked out, since the door latch went in okay. I think that when the building went up, some workman decided to ignore the fact that the deadbolt didn't line up. When I told the clerk, she noted it and said they would look into getting it fixed. I am hoping they were truly ignorant and didn't already know about this problem and were ignoring it like the workmen. If you stay here, check the deadbolt before unpacking to make sure the problem has been fixed. I know we will next year. read more

It was fine for Grafton. Staff was very friendly and everything went alright. Price was a bit high for the overall place. Dtayed here because my dad needed one more night to get dilver status. Our room was freezing cold when we arrived and it took a bit to get it to room temp. Mostly the place is just sort of grimey and could benefit from a good deep-clean. Couch had "schmutz" on it and pillows, carpet, and counters were stained and shower was also a bit grimey. Was fine for one night. read more

Was in town for the evening, and weather was getting nasty and didn't want drive home at night. Found this hotel and asked if they had any available. I told the desk attendant why I needed a room, and he gave me a $20 discount off of my room. WOW! Totally unexpected, but I really did appreciate it. The desk attendant, was a little slow but I was in no rush and was just happy to get a room after midnight. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy and I slept like a log that night. There were USB charging outlets in the room, which was super convenient as I didn't have a wall outlet charger for my phone, but had a USB cord in my car. The continental breakfast was one of the better ones that I've had in a while. I swear, they must shop at Aldi's...I recognized the yogurt cups that I get all the time...event the apples and clementines looked like they were from Aldi's (I must sound crazy). The eggs were fresh and fluffy, the sausage was nice and hot, and you could make yourself a waffle or get cereal. They had an employee who was on top of everything, making sure there was enough of everything. A great experience for the circumstance that I had. Save yourself the regret and spend the extra money to stay elsewhere. This hotel is a dump and the customer service isn't much better. We booked through a third party service so we got a pretty decent deal on our room for two nights vs booking directly with the hotel, even with the deal I'm still annoyed I paid what I did for that place. Upon checking in, the front desk lady, Pat, was *extremely* rude and was basically yelling at us that she hates third party services. Our room was on the 4th floor, there were holes patched all over the walls in our room, cracks in the walls, the floor was definitely not vacuumed or swept, fridge was dirty, there were yellow water spots on the ceiling in the bathroom, the room was so humid we had to switch rooms after the first night due to all of our belongings being damp from the humidity, and lastly the air conditioner in both rooms were covered in mold. I could go on and on about how gross this was, a motel would be a nicer stay. read more

Not an overly great place. Alarm went off in the middle of the night and during the evacuation the night manager blamed kids. However the broken elevator was being worked on and there was a minor electrical fire that really was caused by the repairmen. In the morning there were no waffles because the iron was broken. There was no sign and when asked, the worker look at me like I was crazy. No a lot of choices in the area so you're stuck with it. read more

This is an ok hotel. A bit overpriced at around $160 a night. My only big complaint is the free breakfast. We stayed for 2 nights. The first morning we missed the breakfast as we got down there at like 9:35 and they quickly put everything away at 9:30. The second morning we got down there early enough for breakfast. The eggs were inedible - a circular patty that was out of a package and heated up. Everything was really bland and nothing tasted fresh. Overall the hotel served it's purpose. The room was decent and has a small refrigerator. Just don't come here if a breakfast is really important to you. read more

The rooms were clean and large and the free breakfast was decent, the best part of our experience however was with an employee named Pat. A one star is actually too good for this run down place. It should be called "Uncomfort Inn"! It was the cheapest I could find in the area (and it still was too much money)! The saying is true "you get what you pay for"!!! Place needs a major renovation, the so-called "Hot breakfast" is a joke, nothing hot at all (even shows a picture on the wall of waffles and eggs and they didn't have either one)! It was stale pastries and juices from a machine that was leaking all over the place. The room to eat in was filthy and sticky. The hallway to our room smelled like an ashtray. Our actual room was musty and our beds and clothes always felt wet! The walls were all cracked and holey, the pillows were not even pillows but balls of chunky things, mattress is way overdue for replacing (springs in our backs, so sunken in you couldn't even move without feeling like you were digging yourself out of a hole), shower was stained and a little scary to use, same with the shower head (rusted). You needed shoes to walk on the carpet or your feet would end up dirty. I can go on and on why you shouldn't stay here but I don't have all day! Just plan on staying at a hole in the wall (literally all over the place), getting a headache from all the smells, not getting a good breakfast, feeling dirty/sluggish and not getting a good nights sleep if you choose this place! I've been to other Comfort Inn & Suites before and never had any problems. However, this location could use a little work. The first thing you notice when you walk through the front entrance is how unbelievably hot, humid and stuffy it is. They offer a small dining area for breakfast, along with some seating in the lobby, but both of these options are miserable unless you enjoy the feeling of sitting in a sauna. Seriously people, stop penny-pinching and get some a/c flowing in this place. The next issue is the walls of this hotel. In multiple places (the rec room, our hotel room etc) there are tears and actual holes in the walls. It makes the hotel feel cheap rather than comfortable. Speaking of comfort, that's something you will not find while laying on their pull-out couch. What kind of couch cushions have horrible, sharp springs in them?? I got horrible sleep both nights, despite the number of blankets and pillows I tried to put down to separate my back from what felt like sharp rocks. The air filters also need to be changed, because our room smelled musty when it should have smelled clean. Please do better. read more

I've stayed here twice, typically I stay at the Hampton and I come here for work. However, I was booked here and they received a great remodel and the rooms look fantastic! Very comparable to the local Hampton, yet about $60 cheaper a night! I will definitely continue to book here instead. read more

Although a convenient location for a family gathering, this hotel could use some assistance. Their online reservation system is inadequate & calling the hotel directly did not resolve my request for add'l nites. We did change our room to a better location, but the paint was chipping off the wall, carpets dirty, mirrored closet door was never washed, linens were dirty, shower didn't drain until I removed the plug, slimy soap dish, windows were screwed shut, A/C didn't work properly. Had to request daily towels. There is a StarBucks next door & newspapers in the lobby. read more
