Stayed here for a few nights. The person who checked me in was less than friendly. Just handed me my key, and walked away. Didn't bother to give me the diamond gift or anything. It's not a big deal, but I was looking forward to the Diet Coke I usually choose. I went back to ask her, after dropping all my stuff off in my room, but she was no where to be found. The walls are soooo thin. I could hear the conversations of those in the next room. Made me feel so uncomfortable. They only offer housekeeping if you request it. I hate that that's even a thing. I mean I remember when I got full house keeping everyday, and now I have to request to have my trash taken out? I realize I sound high maintenance, and I promise I'm not. The room was pretty clean. Only thing I noticed was the shower head could definitely use a deep cleaning, and some of the grout was discolored. Geez not helping my high maintenance case Breakfast was SO good though. I've never been to a hotel where the complimentary breakfast had so many options. It's like thing of everything you've ever had at a hotel breakfast and they have it. Grab and go bags with bagel, water bottle, apple, and jam. The main breakfast area has water, coffee, tea, juice, hot breakfast options, oatmeal bar, waffle bar, cereal boxes, fresh cut fruit (my favorite), different bread options. Really- this breakfast was so good. Could not think of a single way it could be better. Personally, I think there's better options in the area. read more

Oh Grafton Hampton Inn, I'm so sorry. I thought it would be better down the street and I've realized my mistake. Your consistent beds, quiet halls, clean lobby, and yummy warm breakfast are all I can think about as I cheat on you with the hotel down the street. TAKE ME BACK! I drive by on my way to and from this "hotel" and I gaze longingly with regret at your double front doors. Your welcoming luggage racks. Your old pool and hot tub. Great place to stay! Customer service is excellent. Hotel is clean. Room is nice and spacious, very clean. Good hot breakfast. Hot coffee 24 hours a day. Gym with new equipment. Heated pool. Laundry facilities. Outdoor grill and outdoor patio set with fire pit. Will definitely stay here while our son is at university. Concordia special rates as well. Normally I would give more stars for large room, clean, etc. but when the freeway noise prevents from sleeping most of the night? No. Unbelievable. Unless you are a business traveler, you DO NOT get a room away from the fwy. That's their policy. Even ear plugs do not help. It's that loud. Too cheap to put extra insulation or triple pane windows... and it's no bargain on a weekday... Tuesday. Shame on whomever the parent company is (Hilton?) outrageously noisy. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. I tried to check in early over the phone since I arrived early and was told " we don't do early check ins". I showed up to the lobby at 3:15pm to check in and the front desk girl (who looked medicated) said "your room isn't ready and we'll text you when it's ready". I responded "when is check in" and she responded "3:00pm". Told her I would love to get a room soon. Went to the brewery next door and called customer service. They said we will get some "bonus points" by the manager of the hotel but that's all they could tell us. Went back to the hotel at 4:45pm and tried to get answers and all we could get was that the room still wasn't ready. We asked her to call her manager which she did but "Patricia" the manager did not want to speak with us since it was her day off. Long story short we had to demand our money back and drive to Madison to find a room. It ruined a good portion of our vacation. Hampton Inn doesn't care and Hilton doesn't care. Save your time and don't stay here. read more

This was probably the worst Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at. My company has a location in Cedarburg so I stayed while in town on business. I would not stay here again. A few things, first there was tons of hair on the bathroom floor upon entering. It was gross! Second, the breakfast was hardly edible. I enjoyed the smoothies, but that was about it. Third, the hair was still there after housekeeping came, and nothing besides the beds being made appeared to be done. Like no real straightening of the room. The staff was okay, not over the top. As a Hilton Honors member I had to ask for water and was told that the bags that they so prominently display upon walking in were for Gold and Diamond only. Lastly, for a hotel in the middle of nowhere it's noisy. It's right next to the interstate so I had a lovely view of cars and car noise all night long. Next time I'll just suck it up and drive more for a nicer hotel. read more

Great staff and facilities. For the price, the day was great. The rooms are quiet (parking lot side) and the pool and hot tub are very friendly and, most of the time, empty. The kids had a great time. It is a good location with many stores and places to eat nearby. Included breakfast was perfect. Overall highly recommend this hotel. read more

Nice hotel, clean and glad to see self-service breakfast coming back! Nothing specific to comment on this hotel in regards to cleanliness, staff, etc. All within standards that I have seen throughout my travels. In speaking with the staff the following morning, I had learned that the municipality that this hotel is located still requires masks, even though the State and CDC do not require for fully vaccinated people. For this reason, more than any, I feel it is important for management to make it clear for guests via signs. As travels, we do not know what the local policy is, unless you post it. I assumed it was not required since the grocery store just up the highway did not require it. You are putting your staff in a bad position. Having said that, I hope you are not requiring your staff to enforce any mandates. read more

While I hate traveling north during the winter months I don't mind staying in the cozy comfort of a Hampton Inn. This particular Hampton Inn exceeds my expectations of a Hampton. The hotel and room was always clean, the staff was always friendly, and their hot breakfast was always great during my stay. Each day after work I'd come back to my room to a freshly made bed, clean room and bathroom, and relaxing warmth of the heater. The beds here were very comfortable made for a great night's sleep each night. Located right next door is the Water Street Brewery that was great for dinner each evening; and there are nearby stores such as Target and Costco to get any accessories you may need or have forgotten to bring. Right off the Interstate too making it easy to get to and from work each morning. read more

We only stayed one short night on our way up to Door County. it was very very clean, and we had no issues. The room was comfortable and well kept. It seemed like they offered more tv stations than most hotels. We had a quick bite the next morning the breakfast was well stocked and what you would expect from a hotel. It was fine but nothing to write home about. I'll give them credit for having a few out of the ordinary things, cheese omelette sand these cheesy bacon bagel things. Staying here now and in a bit of shock... There is no closet. No iron. No hangers. What?! My room is facing highway and the noise of the cars is incredibly loud. The heater/ac unit doesn't respond when I push any of the buttons - just shows "on" and makes a rumbling sound every 10 minutes. I would not recommend staying here. read more

Would give zero stars if I could! My son booked a block of rooms for his wedding. We were charged $20 a night more than other wedding guests whose rooms were identical to ours. I also requested that our second room be next to the 1st, as my elderly mother was staying in the 2nd room. Not only were they not next to each other, but they were on separate floors!! The groom's father also booked a room for 2 nights, and they canceled the reservation for the 2nd night for no reason and with no explanation! He was locked out of his room, and when he questioned the front desk, was told he would have to stay elsewhere because the room had been booked by another party! He insisted that they fix this situation, as there was also a shuttle running from the hotel to the venue and back, and he HAD made his reservation for BOTH nights! They eventually agreed, but the entire situation was ridiculous! There was no maid service because of lack of staff. The pool was SUPPOSED to be open until midnight, but was closed when we went down at 9:30 on the 1st night! The bed springs were creaky and VERY LOUD and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls! I will NEVER stay with them again, and will tell everyone I know not to either! When I called corporate to file a complaint, I was treated very rudely and disconnected twice! They said they would review the complaint and POSSIBLY send me a reimbursement check in the mail, for the disparity in room rates, but they didn't know how long it might take!! I am livid right now, and beyond frustrated! I have NEVER had such a hellish experience dealing with a hotel chain before, and believe me, I NEVER intend to deal with this one again! read more

Hotel isn't bad and it's close to Brewery however THE NOISE! Please! Hampton Inn needs to fix this. Noise as it's very loud. TownPlace Suites was smart to angle their hotel away from the road. Hampton Inn is parallel to the road and nearly never room on the west elevation is feet from the road. When semi trucks come down the road it's game over. Only way I was able to sleep is after 11:30pm the traffic subsided. read more

Recently had many family members book here for a wedding and had many complaints from "losing" reservations (even for the bridal couple) to cold, inconsiderate staff from front desk staff to manager. It was embarrassing for us to find out how poorly these guests were treated when we had recommended this hotel. Where are the missing guest gift bags? They need to get their act together from online reservations to apparently invisible rooms to the staff attitude. I will NEVER again send anyone to this hotel. read more

We have stayed at this hotel several times. It's very easy to get to, and in the morning they have a very nice continental breakfast. Right next-door is a brewery restaurant, that's serves great meals as well. The staff here at the hotel is very friendly. The hotel overall is very clean and up-to-date. The rooms are very spacious, as well as the bathrooms are very nice sized for getting ready in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who needs to stay in the area. read more

Be forewarned. My wife and daughter checked in before I did. I didn't get in until 1am. The guy at the front desk did not say a word. Just looked at me until I spoke first. That was weird enough, but then he proceeded to give me a key to the room just based on name. No id at all. Wow! My husband has stayed here before us while on a family visit. This time we joined him. This is now my new favorite place to stay in Wisconsin. It is new and clean and inviting. The staff are warm and helpful. The breakfast is wonderful and fresh with a full array of goodies. Every day there is a new hot selection. It was always fun opening the warmer to see what was new today. The rooms are beautifully decorated with fluffy white bedding. The decor is new and upscale. The suite we had was well designed and spacious. The best thing is staying on the first floor as there is coffee all day and almost all night at the front desk area. They have a wide array of flavored coffee creamers that were always stocked and 2 different coffees,a decaf and a variety of teas. That was the best thing for me. There is a great pool and hot tub indoors. The pool room is a little hot. The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is because the housekeeping seems a little lazy. They never removed the garbage on the surfaces and the reason it was not in the garbage was because that is our other complaint. the room comes with two tiny garbage cans. The kitchen/wet bar area does not even have a can. They were not very adept at making the bed nicely either. The second night we were there the building was struck by lightening and they were very accommodating when tv sets, ac units,elevators and the internet were fried by the strike. We only lost internet but I heard them apologizing many times to various people around the hotel. All in all a super family place to stay in the middle of nowhere. It is close to the 43. read more

Don't make reservations at this hotel- if anything ever comes up and you need to cancel- they will charge you full price- even if you call them hours ahead of time. I called them at noon on the day of my arrival to cancel and was charged full price. I live 2 hours away and people get sick, things get cancelled, poop happens. I can understand if folks change their mind at the last min- but their policy is crazy. A good clean room. There are some areas that are starting to show some wear and tear. I would recommend that you ask for a room on the opposite side of the freeway if you don't want to get woken up by the sound of semis rushing past your window. The breakfast is passable. I am part of the "honors" program and booked a room for our Christmas visit to relatives in the area. The room was part of their "Holiday Away Honors Sale," which was a PREPAID reservation at a discount. It was booked far enough in advance that I had already paid the credit card with the room charge BEFORE our arrival. Apparently the honors I received were being charged again for the room. Being charged double is an "honor" I can live without. When I called the property to address the issue, the staff member at the front desk put me on hold & then hung up on me. She also lied to me when I asked her the name of the general manager. She said she "didn't have that information." Lying to guests must be another honor. Up until discovering the honor of being charged double, I thought the real low point was when the internet wasn't working properly, so the same desk clerk called their internet provider and promptly gave them my name & room number. I told this clerk that it was a HOTEL issue, not a personal issue. No apology was offered for giving out personal information without my consent. Must have been another "honor." Needless to say, I will honor this hotel by taking all future business elsewhere. read more

I was extremely disappointed in the service we received from the Hampton Inn staff. We blocked off rooms for our wedding that occurred this past weekend about 9 months ago. During that time my fiance and I reserved a room for ourselves too. We encouraged our guests to stay at the Hampton Inn for our wedding, and even advertised it on our wedding website. We called to confirm our reservation the day before we were set to stay there, and the front desk employee (Tyler) informed us that not only did we not have a reservation, but that there were no rooms left to book. He was extremely rude to my fiance, and when we asked to speak to a manager he told us he didn't have one. We then were able to book a room online, and when we called back later that day, Tyler (still being extremely rude) informed us that they had -1 rooms now. He did not apologize and actually hung up on us. When we eventually did speak to a manger, he offered no help at all. We also spent a lot of time and money preparing welcome bags for our wedding guests who reserved rooms in the block, and only half of them received their bags. We are not sure what happened to the rest of the bags, they probably got tossed out by the inconsiderate staff there (Tyler?). We also had several family members tell us how short the front desk staff was with them and how unfriendly they were. Needless to say I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone and will be spreading the word to anyone else looking to block off rooms there for a wedding. I'd recommend staying at the Comfort Inn on the other side of the freeway as we had no complaints from any relatives who stayed there. read more

Was travelling for a volleyball tournament and found the hotel room itself exceptional. Had a king suite and loved it. Unfortunately, the people above us were practicing River Dance or something. They were stomping on the floor and keeping us awake. We called the front desk but the stomping didn't stop for another hour. In the morning, the stomping woke us up again. Not sure what they were doing up there, but it was unfortunate. read more

We booked a block of rooms at this hotel for our wedding and were very happy with the results. We were able to get a reasonable rate for our guests, the rooms are very spacious and clean, and many of our guests were very happy with the breakfast. The hotel even threw in the whirlpool suite for free for the bride and groom once we had a number of rooms reserved in the block! If you are looking for transportation to shuttle your guests to/from the reception, you can incorporate this into the block rate for your guests if you mention this before the block is set up - we didn't end up doing this but it seemed like a nice option. read more
