The thermostat doesn't work very well and I was boiling in my room and the pillows are very flat and old and I started to have neck pain. I didn't enjoy my stay and as I stated, I left early, there was nobody at the hotel to talk to about these issues. I still have the email that I sent you asking for early checkout and getting a refund so you can't say you never got a message because I also talked to somebody via email by the name of Nicole. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to the downtown Port Washington area (with shops and restaurants) and the lighthouse. Breakfast was probably my favorite part. The night before, we chose when we would want breakfast - 8:30am or 9:00am. They also provided fresh coffee and tea before breakfast. Rita prepared specialty omelettes made to order, and they also had a nice selection of homemade treats and fruits available. Delicious! They have a grab and go breakfast We are here once a year for two nights for a Lion Convention in Feb. Last year I booked a room with a hot tub. One of our Lions Clubs had a 75th Anniversary in August so we were back and this time I booked a Suite. I like the 2 rooms so when one of us is sleeping the other can be on their computer in another room. I am here again in 2023 for an overnight. We always say you get what you pay for. This hotel was bought out by Holiday Inn Express and is supposed to be in the middle of an upgrade but so far I have not noticed anything different except they put up a wall between the hotel and restaurant so you have to go outside and down the sidewalk to enter. Our room for a Wed. Night was only $102. We have a convention in Feb on a weekend and have a special rate of $109. So not sure what the actual room rate will be on the weekend.

I did a little hotel hoping to take advantage of bonus points being offered, and decided to try out the Country Inn and Suites, Port Washington, WI. Uhm, how about NO. When I arrived the "desk attendant" was not wearing a mask. He put one on but left his nose exposed. I understand, your business is slow and you're uncomfortable, but it didn't leave me with any sense of confidence about the hotel in general. As a Gold level member of Radisson Rewards, I am supposed to get a free upgrade and water bottles for my room. Neither was offered, and that's not such a big deal, but I'll tell you what was... The room was DIRTY. Rundown, tired looking and not clean by any means. Mold around faucets, stains and rips in the carpeting, busted lampshades, broken switches on the lamps, it was GRIM. But it was late in the day and I was exhausted, so I just sucked it up. Oh, and one side of the hotel is facing the highway, and the other side is the parking lot with blasting lights. The heating system was a joke and I barely slept. I awoke at 4:00 AM showered (yuck) and hightailed it out of there. Never again.

I've never been to a hotel where the complimentary breakfast had so many options. It's like thing of everything you've ever had at a hotel breakfast and they have it. Grab and go bags with bagel, water bottle, apple, and jam. The main breakfast area has water, coffee, tea, juice, hot breakfast options, oatmeal bar, waffle bar, cereal boxes, fresh cut fruit (my favorite), different bread options. Really- this breakfast was so good. Could not think of a single way it could be better. Personally, I think there's better options in the area.

We had to park in another lot on the backside of the resort instead of in the front two lots right outside the lobby -- which made it a bit more difficult if you had heels on and had to walk a ways from the car to the hotel with the snowy icy ground. The rooms were veeeeery old school and in need of renovation. The wood didn't match -- from the dresser to the doors to the bathroom vanity. Flooring was really old and carpet was stained in many areas. Water damage on ceiling and the bed was quite stiff, not comfortable at all. Our room was very drafty which made it difficult to lounge without have a good pair of warm sweats or jacket. I wouldn't have been pleased if I was staying here for a long period, luckily my stay was just one evening. The bartender was very very nice -- she was personable and tried her best to change the channels on one of the TVs to what I wanted to watch. She was quick with the drinks and made them to my liking. The front desk staff were also very pleasant and friendly. They were quick with the check in and check out process as well. Overall I was underwhelmed with this resort. Perhaps winter is just not the time to visit as there is not much to do in the tiny town and the Christmas market that happens across the street honestly wasn't anything superb (we have several Christmas markets in the Twin Cities which are MUCH more superb to this one). Perhaps the summertime is the best time to visit to enjoy the true beauty of the surroundings which may make up for the old school regal of this resort.

They also have this foot massager that was so nice for the morning after because my feet were hurting!! The hot tub was the best but the sauna and steamroom were also so relaxing.
