Stay away, room was not clean, very disappointed, would not recommend this location unless you don't want a clean room.

The floors of this hotel room was disgusting. My boys were playing in the room and after 10 minutes their feet and knees were black with dirt. The bathroom was clean and had good water pressure. The continental breakfast was good and had both waffles and pancakes. My kids loved that. There is no pool so don't listen to previous reviews. The elevator was broken but it was getting repaired when we were leaving. read more

Comfort Inn Pros: Conveniently located near major highway, nice size room, two double queen beds, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, quiet clean grounds, great view, breakfast served between 6-9am, plenty of parking, four restaurants in walking distance or short drive, hair dryer, no smoking hotel, pool, free internet, outlets on the desk and night stands. Cons: the front clerk was on a personal call when entering the hotel and she finished her call before checking us in, no room service, the staff were pleasant but not friendly, no easy chair in room. This motel is ok for what it is - an aging motel trying desperately to look fresh and modern. However, more than a cursory glance in the corners reveals what a shoddy job they did updating the place - spots with no trim, tiles that weren't cut correctly, gloopy caulk stuffed around the bath faucet. It's clearly an $80/night hotel trying unsuccessfully to make you think this place is worth $155/night. Nothing was great. Not the bed. Not the pillows, nor the number of them . One of my biggest beefs in any hotel is shoddy maintenance, and this hotel provides stellar examples of that very thing. Both of the lamps in our room were dangerously in disrepair, with wires dangling and the weight of the lampshades resting on said wires. Just outside our room, the snack machine thundered round the clock like the second coming of Christ, the compressor cooling vents in desperate need of cleaning. My second biggest complaint is the appalling Internet service, which was so slow that I had to tether to my phone and use cellular data to get my work done. How, in this day and age, could a hotel not provide useful Internet to its guests? (Answer: an obsession with pinching pennies.) Also, there was ONE SINGLE washing machine for the guests. Why only one? (Answer: the cost-cutting obsession thingy.) The room was cramped, and the air conditioning too loud to have on when trying to sleep. On the plus side, the breakfast buffet was pretty good, the facilities were clean, and the hotel is easy to access from the freeway. read more

Checked into room unpacked changed got into bed, we were not alone. Wife saw movement on dresser -- yes a COCKROACH , boy are they quick! If you see one there are 10 more. So I killed it, then another then one fell out of a towel the last straw! Call the front desk , phone doesn't work, go down to front desk, no one there! Long story short pack everything back up move to another room, TV doesn't work. It's late go to sleep. Next day thought management would be embarrassed apologetic give me a break on the bill but instead was defensive and not sensitive to our situation! Finally took 10% off wow good thing we are choice members. Don't think we'll be staying there anytime soon like never. read more

Where do I begin. My fiancée and I were traveling on our way to Georgia and booked a room here since it was about midway to our destination... BIG MISTAKE!!! For starters we checked into our room and as we were walking up to the room there was a noticeable crack between where the door seals and the door hinge, at first site it appears that the room is not secured but after checking the door multiple times we decided to stay in the room. This would prove to be the least of our problems in this room. After eating I went into the bathroom and WTF!!!!!!...there was BLOOD AND DRIED URINE on the toilet. Now at this point I am upset and disgusted so I called the front desk to inform them of the problem. I was then told "they had a full house last night" HUH????? Soooooo because there was a "full house" in your hotel your staff doesn't clean the rooms???? Ok. She moved us into another room... if we were not exhausted from the drive we would have clearly packed up and gone some place else. Well... I went to check out another room for us to move to as the front desk receptionist requested and what do u guess...PUBIC HAIRS EVERYWHERE on this toilet. Now... 2 rooms in a row with NASTY UNCLEANED BATHROOMS which leads any rational person to think that they are not cleaning anything in these rooms. I am not sure HOW this hotel received 4 stars however this was our first AND LAST experience here.. this place is DOWN RIGHT GROSS... you've been warned!! read more

We had a pretty bad night here. I was looking for a hotel room in the area and this was one of the last places I could get. We got here and late and were quite exhausted. Unfortunately, some very rude people decided that 3 AM was a great time to pound for 20 minutes straight on someone's door and to shout around the hallways. We barely slept. The hotel staff did nothing about this noise. The pros are that the room was clean and we got to the breakfast early enough that we didn't have any issues. I realize the noise was not the hotel's fault, but it would have been nice if they had done something about it. Very, very frustrating. read more

This place was good for a quick rest on on trip home from Florida. Everything was clean. I had a couple of issues. The parking is very limited! I had to wait for someone to leave to get a spot. They should probably have permits to avoid over selling. Also the breakfast bar was descent but the divider in the room didn't allow for enough room to get food with the crowd. They should remodel and take out the divider. read more

The best thing about this hotel/waterpark is probably that it is the only indoor waterpark located anywhere near Louisville. The pool/slide areas are clean and inviting, the staff pleasant, and the hot tub waterfall area is relaxing. If i was to nit pick, i would say that the pool water could have been a little warmer. The room we used was clean and comfortable, and the cafe area was certainly festive. The hotel also has a nice looking meeting room, and a very interesting slumber party/waterpark package that could appeal to those with kids. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. read more

This place was really cute. The kids loved the water park, it closes promptly at 9, though, so be forewarned. The weekend swim from 9 to 11 is a great way to let the kids get their energies out before getting back on the road. The breakfast bar had hot food like eggs and sausage. Be careful when you make a reservation at this hotel. I made a reservation through expedia and it stated it had to be cancelled by a certain date. And they didn't state any penalties of cancellation on Expedia. Well I cancelled through expedia and by the date stated on Expedia. Well come to find out the hotel still charged my credit card for $830. And the hotel said they had no refunds. I just dont want anyone else to get screwed out of their money. read more

Very happy with our one night stay at this hotel. Check-in staff was great, everything was clean and the room. And bed were comfortable. About an hour after checking out I called and told them we forgot our pillow and sheet. They retrieved it for us and saved it until we could return a couple days later to get it. Excellent customer service. Well worth the price. I like that it has no pool or water park. read more

Not happy with our stay at this hotel. Our room smelled like mold, outdated and desperately trying to be modern. the ladies at the front desk were not pleasant. We stayed with a large group of people for a volleyball tournament and we did not get back to the hotel until around 9pm. We would order food so we could have team dinner and we were told we had to wrap it up and go to our rooms. This hotel does not accommodate large groups. Very poor service. With all of our teams we had 35-40 rooms for 3 nights. This hotel was a big disappointment! read more

Stayed as part of a team trip. Rooms were standard, nothing fancy (about right for price point) Many of the small things didn't work correctly in many of the rooms though (tub stoppers, etc..) Was inconvenient to find out the only ADA rooms were those with King beds only. Now the kicker... 3 of our rooms have turned up with missing items. These include prescriptions meds, cash, and jewelry. Have reached out to management, and hope to hear back after the weekend. Of course there is no way to prove any of this, but something seems shady with the housekeeping staff. Would not book here again. read more

This is a grate place to have fun with your kids.The lay out to the park is airy and open.So you can feel safe letting your kids swim and have fun your self at the same time. The coffee/bar spot is grate as well. I highly recommend the rooms. They are very nice well kept clean rooms. You will not be disappointed if you go here with your family.No need to be concerned about bugs coming home with you.Why? It is fine for a weekend trip the rooms are clean and decent size. The internet is free but painfully slow. We didn't eat breakfast the coffee was good and the good looked like what you would expect at a free breakfast. The water park is closed so don't expect that to bea time waster. read more

We came in Tuesday night about 1:30am, 11/21/17. The staff has been wonderful up until tonite. After the abuse I received from the front desk personnel, I would never recommend this location. This place does NOT have an indoor pool or water park area. Do not let the pictures fool you. We thought we were going to have a fun filled pirate ship pool experience and were sadly informed the pool has been gone for 7 years. DO NOT STAY HERE. I cannot emphasize this enough. First off, it is not clean. There is food/trash in the hallways, the elevators, and in our room. The housekeeper was sitting on a guest bed taking selfies when we asked for more towels. They also informed us that the people that had stayed in room 314 the night before had just tested positive for covid & had left the room trashed with litter/dirty diapers. They also used inappropriate language when referring to other guests. The front desk staff seemed bothered to being asked questions-such as, was a frozen egg or danish the only two options for breakfast? They had no idea nor what type. Well. Okay. But our room. As others have mentioned, it's in great need of updates. It was not covid cleaned nor did it even smell clean. IT SMELLED HORRIBLE!! Since we had a 2 night stay, our room was, I can't even use the word "cleaned" on the second day. The housekeeper knocked on our door at 830am. Any other time, this would have been fine but we had gotten in very late the night before so slept in some---and to have the door beaten on----very inappropriate. There was no do not disturb sign for us to hang-as it was missing from our room (shocker). But when I did open the door---I received, "well xhit, you scared me opening the door so quickly." Excuse me---do you not have a check out list of the guests that have actually checked out so not to disturbed the guests that are still in the rooms?? And at 830am----check out is at 11am! I understand getting a jump on the rooms to clean where people have checked out but then, the cleaning cart is blocking the hallway to get out. I have only been a few places where housekeeping starts before 11am and it's greatly an inconvenience for guests checking out----mind you, PAYING guests. In our room, some of our towels were replaced but that was it on our 2nd night. The soap, shampoo/conditioner, coffee, tissue, hand/face/floor towels, and cups were not replaced. Well-I guess those must be limited supply or not given out on the second day. But it was not cleaned or disinfected. As other reviews mentioned, many of the guests were very loud and rude. But just the whole vibe of the location sets the tone. Forgettable. And forget about the mask policy--it is not enforced nor does the front staff feel they need to wear one. We also had a pair of shoes stolen-that was key to the type of place this is. VERY POOR quality of this establishment. Having stayed in many other CI, this shouldn't bear the same name. And I would be concerned as a business owner of this type of poor quality with the name behind it. But as I had mentioned before, DO NOT STAY HERE unless you are ready for disappointment, unclean, and an unsafe environment. PERIOD. read more

Older hotel, right near the highway, only stayed one night. Dirt cheap (under $100 night when most hotels were booked due to March Madness in Louisville, didn't plan well) but clean. Staff was very nice, can't speak about breakfast since I missed it (ends "early" at 9am). If you want someplace cheap and clean, good choice. read more

The receptionist Ashley is amazing. Cheerful, helpful so pleasant. She belongs in a 5 star hotel. This hotel has the loudest most annoying bathroom fans. Not a good breakfast bar.. coffee is horrible. Back door locks you out and key doesn't work so you have to walk all the way around to front door. My husband stayed here for a week while on a work trip. He requested no house keeping because he worked 3rd shift. There was no issues until last day. When I spoke to the GM he stated they needed to have access to my husbands room because of the Las Vegas shooting. Why did my husband get picked out of everyone else he worked with that also declined the house keeping to have his room checked? No one else had issues. They just kept saying because of the Las Vegas Shooting. When I requested to speak to the owner the GM informed me that he would not be letting the owner know about any of this. Be careful, they may discriminate and assume you're a shooter or other terrible assumption of things for no reason. read more

While this wasn't bad, I had expected "Comfort Inn" to be Choice group's premium product and the facility was more in line with what I've experienced at the mid range "Quality Inn." Not at all like the really nice new Comfort Inn at Detroit Airport. No digital thermostats in the room, just the old fossil with the red on one side, blue on the other rotation knob you have to hope to guess the right temperature in the end. Also the pillows were way too thick for a stomach sleeper. I keep a Walmart soft pillow in my car for such occurrences, but had no issues with the last Comfort in pillows and assumed these would be similar, they weren't but I didn't want to get dressed and go out to my car to get it at midnight, I should have as I ended up only being able to sleep without any pillow as they were as thick as something on the end of a sofa and not able to lay on your stomach and be comfortable. The room was clean, the tub large, solid new coffee maker, and decent TV. But the thermostat was the same one they have at the Motel 6 in Lansing and not what should be in Choice Group's premium tier hotel. read more

We stayed four nights in this hotel for a family wedding. The day of the wedding we left the room at 10 AM and returned at 10:30 PM. Our room had not been serviced. Our dirty towels had been removed but nothing else done including removal of smelly garbage. I called the front desk. I was told our room was not cleaned because we had a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on our door, This was a lie! I told them that if this was true they should not have removed our soiled towels, YOU DO NOT ENTER A ROOM WITH THIS SIGN. The desk clerk was very rude and suggested I could check out if I did not like it. It was a rainy Saturday night, nearly midnite, so this was impractical. I called Choice Hotels Customer Service that night and had a case generated. They said the hotel was wrong and gave me a lot of frequent stayer points. I did three follow up contacts. I asked for an apology from the hotel GM, but am still waiting. I travel on business-40 years minimum 25 stays per year, but this was the worst treatment I have ever received. I didn't know it was normal to enjoy the company of your boyfriend/husband and grandchildren during your shift of work 3 nights in a row or to watch tv all night on the lobby couch munching on chips and soda while playing games on your tablet..... or to call guests to be rude as hell at 3 am claiming they are disruptive ie: stomping, excessive noise. When said guest apologizes and says they had no idea they had heavy footsteps and have only been up for less than 10 minutes you probably shouldn't continue to say "well it sounds god awful" in a condescending tone. I really thought companies still required their employees to have customer service skills. Apparently not. Too many other hotels to choose from instead, waterpark is closed down anyhow so that's not a perk for sure. read more
