We decided to put a few more miles behind us before stopping for the evening and found this place on booking.com. The first thing I found fascinating was the fact whoever decided to build this place wasn't even thinking about what you'd be seeing out your windows. They faced all the rooms to the north and south while this place had beautiful mountains both east and west. Hmmm, bad planning - but guess I was really staying here for the bed not the views. It was a basic clean hotel. The front staff was helpful and pleasant. The pool area was very clean and the water was crystal clear. There was also a very large sauna and clean pool towels located in the pool room. There was a laundry room which was clean. Our room was fresh with clean lines, 4 soft pillows per bed, and clean carpets. The bathroom was one of the cleanest bathrooms I've had on this road trip. The WIFI was a little slow, but still worked. The air-conditioner worked, but made this awful noise when starting up which a bit annoying while I was trying to sleep. Overall I think this place is a good value for the price you pay. It was less than 90/night and at that price one the best place I've stayed in so far. read more

Clean. Safe. Pretty good customer service. Everyone who works there was polite and super nice. Free breakfast was very ok - scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and all the usual stuff. Then why the meh? First off the coffee maker was in the bathroom. I've seen this before, but ew. Just EW! AIRBORNE! Next, they propped up the poorly engineered "floating" vanity in the bathroom with....2X4s. "Hey Homer! This thing is going to land on someone's foot! Maybe buy half rounds, paint 'em and make a minimal effort? Nah. Throw in a couple 2x4s !" Last, I tried to print boarding passes in the teensy business center. Nada. I mentioned that it might need INK. I went back next day. They unplugged it. I plugged it in. It printed a partial from someone earlier but refused to print anything else. Husband stayed here a month ago. He said it was broken then. I probably would have forgiven 2 out of those 3 since it was clean, safe and had a decent breakfast - but it wasn't that cheap - and 2X4s?? read more

We stayed a night here on our way to the Trinity site. Our King bed room was palatial! We made good use of the couch, coffee table, TV by having travel companions over for appetizers and cocktails. We were able to seat 4 people. The bed mattress was soft, but comfortable. Rooms were clean and modern. Overall we had a great experience. The only downside was the location - you have to drive a few minutes from downtown to get back to their location, and the area was kinda sketchy. read more

I requested a late check out at noon with Monica who nede dto check with her manager, and she called me back and said I was all set. The morning I was to check out late I received a phone call 5 minutes before 11am saying I had to be out of the room and that they do not grant late check outs. That's a lie because my coworker was given a late checkout a few days prior to myself. When I said this was a mistake the gal who called became very defensive and suggested I should've stayed at the Holiday Inn or Best Western across the street. I will do that next time. Halfway decent hotel in the middle of nowhere. Good size room, but very small elevator to get above the first floor.

This Comfort Inn is a good place to stop on the way south of Albuquerque. We have stayed there twice---in two different years. It's always the same and we appreciate that. It's a good value staffed with friendly people. read more

Was a nice, comfortable room after almost 700 mile drive. Hot breakfast was good also. With pandemic going on, tables were properly spaced. Only thing that caused the 4 stars was the evening clerk, I asked for bottled water, she didn't know if they had any, but had vending machines on each floor, all were soda pop, no water. After going back to counter, she said that they had filtered water in the breakfast room in the drink dispenser, why couldn't she tell me before me going to all of the floors. read more

I am torn between 2 and 3 stars. The room was spacious but really needed a couple of chairs. The bed was quite comfortable. The heating/air conditioning was good. The Wi Fi was terrible: Couldn't download anything. The TV was small, no channel guide and some channels were fuzzy. (No Food Network.) The breakfast bar was fine. Apparently they also rent out the breakfast space/pool area. There was a group with many-like 12, barely supervised children. There were 4 that were climbing on exercise equipment in work-out room. We wanted to use the hot tub at 7 PM on Saturday. We thought the kids were done. Not so. 10 minutes into arriving at an empty hot tub, we were bombarded by screaming children, jumping into the pool and hot tub. We left. Deal breaker for me. I am paying for two nights at this motel. Just wanted quiet time in hot tub. The other issue we encountered was trying to get clean towels. We chose to not have housekeeper services in morning. Went to desk for clean towels and were questioned about needing more. Had to return to room to retrieve dirty towels. Same issue at the pool. We were told that they were desperately short on towels. "Should have got a discount. No TV, no pool, no discount for empty hotel." We have stayed here twice previously and been happy with the hotel, but the third time was NOT the charm. Previously we were able to book discounts -- once by booking two weeks in advance and once when my son worked for the hotel chain and was able to get us a "friends and family" discount. This time we called a week in advance, but could not get any specials for the Christmas eve date. I would hardly think this hotel is full, as it is pricey for the area. I called twice and I had my son call, trying to get any kind of a discount. If they had told me up front that I would have gotten a broken TV and no pool I would have taken the price break for doing without the amenities. I like the hotel for its pool, hot tub, breakfast, and clean large rooms. I was traveling with two large dogs, my husband, son and grandson. We had family to visit in Socorro as well as a whole carload of Christmas presents to open. When we got to the hotel we were glad that we got a hotel room at the end of the hall next to the outside door, which allowed us to take the dogs out without disturbing anyone. We unpacked everything and then tried to turn on the TV. (We use the TV for background noise so that the dogs do not bark much when we put them in their cages to go visiting in town.) The TV was broken. We asked about getting the TV fixed, but the hotel room said that the only way to "fix" the TV was to move us. Since we had already set up the dog's cages and unloaded all the presents, we didn't want to move. But this made it harder to guarantee the dogs would be quiet. We do not like to disturb our neighbors and often ask to be put away from other hotel guests. Then I went for a relaxing swim -- or tried, only to find out that the hotel pool's heater was out. I was able to soak in the hot tub, but I was not the only person who went in that night looking for the warm pool and being disappointed. I am not sure if I will stay there again. Whenever I'm in Socorro Comfort Suites and Inn is my choice for rest and relaxation, friendly staff and just a very comfortable environment.

I had someone order 5 I phones off of my cellphone account and set the delivery up for this address. Lucky I got it stopped before it was shipped. Not sure what kind of activities go on here, but I will be staying clear. Hopefully the authorities will put a stop to it. read more

I guess it depends on what you're looking for from a hotel. As a pit-stop on a road trip, more than adequate. Being in a desolate location, the price is a bit too high for what it offers. For instance, the breakfast bar was stocked...not at all. Lots of folks that looked a lot more like locals than travelers, filled the dining area. A tad upsetting that the freeloaders who didn't pay for a room, were the ones eating everything. But, with several breakfast options nearby, it wasn't that big of a deal. Annoying, but little else. The room itself, was quite nice. Everything was clean, reasonably contemporary, and everything seemed to function correctly. No overwhelming smells; cleaning products, cigarettes, nor pets. Evening staff was great. Morning staff, they wouldn't survive at any other job for long. Next time, I'll probably drive another hour and find another place to stay. I might even get breakfast! However, I wouldn't necessarily pass this place if I was tired. As I said, the actual lodging was quite nice. read more

We are on day 5 of travel from Cali to NM and decided to stay here at Comfort Inn after reading reviews of the other area hotels. After driving thru town I am happy with our choice. All the other hotels are clumped together about 1/2 mile from here and look dated. This one is by itself, and very clean and NEW. We have two dogs so it's difficult sometimes to find a place that accepts them, but this is super clean, and NO pet smells whatsoever. The only downside is when someone opens and closes their doors it reverberated thru the entire place. But thay has been the case with all the other 4 hotels we have stayed in on this trip. read more

The rooms are clean and comfortable ... the prices are about the same as the few other hotels/ motels around... never had an issue when I needed something from the front desk .. the pool area and gym are very nice .. they could work on the breakfast part a bit better .. definitely would stay here again .. read more

The hotel is in good shape, the rooms are clean and quiet. The mattresses are too soft for me but well appreciated by my 11 year old. The room rate was reasonable. In the morning the complementary breakfast has a decent selection and medium quality food. The only drawback was that at check in the front desk clerk cold not stop staring at her smartphone when talking with me. read more

This is the worst hotel stay I've ever had. In the middle of a carpet replacement and there was no carpet on the hall floors. Open containers of carpet glue on the floor Smelled awful. The room only had a bed with no furniture other than that to sit on. No artwork on the wall. smelled like formaldehyde . Breakfast was inedible..... read more

Staff was nice upon checking in. The room was clean for the most part, inside the toilet bowl it appeared someone had spit tobacco into the bowl after it was cleaned. The pool was good, as expected from a hotel pool. Breakfast was your average hotel breakfast. There was construction occurring in the hotel. Tile was being taken out. The noise didn't bother us in our room however we chose this hotel to swim with our kids. Hotel staff refused to allow the use of the pool. The construction was occurring outside the pool door. There was another door to get into the pool, but staff refused its use. We over heard the maintenance person rudely shut down the idea when asked by another staff member. The previous night while my family used the pool another guest attempted to open this door. It appeared to an the emergency exit from the pool room. The door was secured closed. This is concerning given there doesn't appear to be another exit. Not being able to used an amenity we paid for was a huge disappointment to us. read more

I recently stayed here for a week during training at New Mexico Tech. The room was very clean and the bed was way too comfortable. I slept like a baby and never wanted to get up which is unlike me. There isn't anything you can do about the location. Anywhere in this town is in the middle of no where. I was highly satisfied with the service. The one star missing is for amenities. There seems to be one options as far as gym in this area and that's on campus. The hotels "gym" was best described as a closet. I think it would be a great investment if they put in a really nice gym with good equipment. I know this would be a game changer as no other hotels have one to offer. And as many first responders are visiting the area, we need that! read more

Rooms are clean but outdated. TV is too small, walls and ceilings are paper thin and the furniture is old. The "free breakfast" is absolutely horrible. The staff is very nice and friendly, but overall, the rooms are way overpriced. read more
