This place isn't bad or good -- it's a solid average. First, the rooms are clean, and that goes a long way. If I feel like a place isn't clean, then I'm out. The rooms are clean, but tired out. Our bathroom door didn't close all the way because it was swelled or hung wrong, but it just didn't fit the doorway. This was our second room, because the first room, with -- "No Smoking Room" in fancy script on the door -- smelled like a cigar bar. I walked two feet into the room, said, "Oh HELL no," and we went straight back to the front desk. We were given the room right next door (also with fancy script on the door), and the front desk clerk was right behind us with an air purifier for the room we'd abandoned. I don't know how well that purifier worked, but suffice to say, a non-smoking room...isn't. Our other issue with our room was that the card keys just wouldn't hold their programmed codes. We had to go back down to the front desk multiple times, get the keys re-programmed, we got all new keys...they just didn't work consistently. I finally resorted to having my key reprogrammed every time I was returning to the hotel just to avoid having to go back to the front desk after trying in vain to get the door opened. The hotel provides a decent breakfast -- a little short of what most similar hotels offer, but there is plenty to eat. They had the usual waffle machine, cereal selections, instant oatmeal, and eggs and sausage. No yogurt or fresh fruit was available, and the bread selections were individually packaged muffins and white bread for toast -- no bagels. The hotel's location is in a ho-hum spot -- about a block from railroad tracks and behind a small private airport, but we didn't hear any noise from either one. However, the hotel is in a light commercial area with nothing too interesting in the immediate vicinity. It's an acceptable home base if you're going to be out doing other things all day and just need a place to lay your head at night. read more

Our vehicle was broken into, window completely smashed. They couldn't show us security footage and were not much help to get police. No one could give me the manager or owners number or email. Just gave me the front desk. Been 4 days since I reached out to the main page and still nothing. This was terrible it cut our trip short with a day to scramble and get the window replaced before we could go on. I stayed here for three nights while in Seattle. It's not a 4 star hotel. It's a comfort inn so my expectations weren't super high. P The room looked clean and was nice enough. They had a pool and the front desk makes fresh cookies every night (I didn't try any but they smelled good). It's easy to get to and get around. Not too far from Seattle. There's a great Irish pub in downtown auburn down the street. I thought it was your run of the mill Comfort Inn. read more

This hotel is very clean and affordable. The check-in process was seamless, it took under one minute to complete the check-in process. The associate that checked me in was extremely courteous and helpful. The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was furnished with a lot of towels and washcloths, which is not always common in most hotels. The hotel is located close to the highway and very convenient to find. I recommend this hotel if you're in the area. read more

Convenience location. Checked in was fast and easy. Nelly, the receptionist was friendly and helpful. Hotel is kinda outdated. It has swimming pool, however. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. AC was cool. No USB plugs though. If you stay more than 2 nights, housekeeper would knocked on door to ask if you need room to be cleaned, otherwise, they just replaced dirty towels or pickup trash. My biggest complaint was disposable utensils and breakfast choices. Very poor quality. Like other travelers commented on cheapest, flimsy utensils I have ever seen. Bread and Bagels didn't refill as needed, and it's just 7:30am. Not much of pastries or fruits either. Will choose other places next time when I'm in town. read more

Tonight's hotel adventure: Room 1 - TV did not work Room 2 - smelled like someone smoked 15 packs of cigarettes in it Room 3.... Wait for it.... There was a NAKED guy on the bed, I turned on the light and walked in and was like, oh well hello Room 4 - not great but at least the TV works, it doesn't smell like cigarette smoke, and the only naked man in the bed is my husband. I talked to the front desk manager in the morning and let her know about the experience. She apologized but really didn't say or do much. Said they do not normally have bad reviews and I said well you'll be getting one. She then told me I threatened her and she would not talk to me further. After I left about 15 minutes later she called me and said the owner would be calling me (never happened) but I was going to get a full refund. This place is maybe a 1 star hotel if that. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They need a written company policy on handle insurance claims. We received conflicting information on what they need from the insurance company. The response we got from Tim, since this is starting off on the wrong feet stay somewhere else. I asked what information do they need from us again. Then we were told they are fully booked for a long time. We have to be out of our home due to flooding. If you decide to stay here do not speak to Tim totally insincere of our situation. When you need a place to stay, and friendly positive people do not stay here. We are going through a rough time and do not need anyone else to keep us down. read more

Easy check in very nice room the best bed for a hotel. Has a swimming pool hot tub sauna and workout room. Breakfast is served from 6am to 9 and this is a full breakfast you even get biscuits and gravy scrambled eggs bacon sausage waffles omg is was great. Very nice staff and super clean room. I checked into and out of this hotel for five consecutive days in Nov. '23 while a close family member was hospitalized. Each day, I'd call for a reservation once I knew she wouldn't be discharged. On the second day, the person at the desk asked what was keeping me in town. After I shared my situation that day, every front desk manager I talked to asked how my relative was doing. Each afternoon when I called, they tried to get me in the same room. It was a small thing, but their care and concern helped me feel more welcome, and it turned out to be a place where I could relax and regroup each night. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I appreciated the proteins available for breakfast each morning. But mostly, the staff made a rough week a little easier. read more

If you are in christmas spirit, don't invite Auburn comfort inn to share. You will get scrooged. I made what i thought was a prepaid reservation for my daughter - using my credit card. They gladly took my card info but when kids checked in they made them pull out their card to pay for room. What? Unknown to me they cant pay for room with card taken pver phone. Thanks for telling me. However, if they no-showed they happily would have charged my card using info i gave em over phone. Whats the difference Clarion? After checking in, my husband And I went up to our assigned room and opened the door to find another customer and their dog's sitting in the room. Thank god we weren't shot! We went down and told the front desk what happened and we sat in the lobby for close to an hour while they contacted the manager. We later found out that she gave us keys to someone else's room by accident and we were supposed to be a floor up. The manager Jan said he was going to give us 2000 choice rewards points as an apology but two months later and we still haven't received them. The hairdryer in our room didn't work, the staff only acknowledged the sketchy regulars as they came through the lobby. We did not feel safe here during our two day stay. We travel to auburn a lot and will never again stay at any choice hotel locations. read more

Terrible. People in the room next to us were smoking and partying all night (in a NON-smoking room, no less, that connected to our room through one of those locked doors). They NEVER shut up. And when our dog barked at them, they had the nerve to complain to front desk about our dog ... and front desk clerks then told us to calm our dog down, etc. UNREAL. It's like the front desk had their degenerate family members staying for free next to us, and we were the "bad guests". Ridiculous. We checked out right away and stayed somewhere else. Pretty standard affair for the money, it aint the holiday inn but it aint a motel 6 either. Clean but no thrills other than the normal juice, coffee and pastries for breakfast. Check inn staff was extremely nice and got me into my room within minutes of arriving which was well needed after a rough plane ride. The hotel is located next to the Auburn airport but have yet to be bothered by any air planes taking off or landing. Tons of eating options right down the street, a little too far away for walking for most but an easy trip in the car. Appears to be in a decent neighborhood. Easy freeway access and decent rates. I asked to just cancel my reservation. They were going to charge me 4 nights but said they would only charge me 1 night even though I never stayed. I travel a lot and have a good sense of what I'm getting into when I stay at hotels. Someone described this hotel as not Holiday Inn, but not Motel 6 - true. But this experience was a little ... Off. The cigarette smoke was ridiculous . We got then"last" non-smoking room available. Unfortunately, it smelled like an old 70's smoking lounge. We opened the window and turned on the fan for a while, but didn't help. Needless to say, the nice pillows were used to stuff under the doors. When we arrived, we saw a sign in the lobby for construction - website didn't say anything about that. Sure enough, we were awaken early (8-ish on a Saturday, trying to sleep in) by banging and loud workers - worse since our window was open. Then we got a call that we needed to move our car so they can bring in the cherry picker. Ugh!! So done. The manager said we were the last ones in the hotel (at 9:30am?? I thought the hotel was full the night before ...) and she said people are sometimes rude about smoking in the hallway, and I'll remind the construction workers to be quiet. This specific location was a huge FAIL. I highly recommended one of the other hotels around here - not this Comfort Inn. read more

It's a bed in a room. Nothing special, nothing good, nothing bad. We did not get their continental breakfast as we were either on our way to a restaurant, or slept in too late. I stayed at this hotel for 10 days because I was there for work. The first couple days were ok, but then I checked my bank account I had noticed they charged me. When I went to ask the front desk why they had charged me they said I had damaged their towels. I had accidentally gotten make up on one of their towels and they said that they were stained and it wouldn't come out. That's ridiculous it does come out they come out of my towels at home. Not only was it ridiculous because I know that my makeup doesn't stain but because the cleanliness of my room was not up to par. The floor was constantly sticky and they didn't take out my trash. I felt like hey were treating my like a child and I had almost half the trip left to spend there. I didn't use their towels the rest of the stay. Also there is a truck yard outside the front of the window so good luck getting any sleep. read more

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. The refrigerator in our room smelled like death. When I reported it to the front desk, the clerk said yes that has been reported. She made no offer to replace it or change our room. The hotel was not fully booked. The swimming pool was cold. The hot tub was about the temperature the the pool should have been. I checked the mattresses and they were nasty and stained. We will never stay again read more
