It was a clean room. The only problem I had was the electrical outlets were old so I could not plug my phone without the charger box.

The property is very clean and well maintained. The gentleman at the front desk was professional, friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean with plenty of towels. However... The smell of the entire building (thank goodness not our room) was strong and nauseating. It's not a clean smell...it's a, we want the place to smell clean but failed miserably, smell. Also, room service is every three days...we were only staying four days so it made no sense to have them clean our room. We did ask for fresh towels on the second day. We upgraded to a suite so there were two rooms. The heater in the bedroom worked fine but the one in the main room did not (we figured the hotel is aware because it was unplugged). If youre looking for a budget friendly place to stay in Auburn, this place is okay. If youre highly sensitive to smells, I cannot recommend. 10/10 front desk 5/10 room Side note, bring your own TP unless you enjoy wiping with sandpaper...your bits will thank you! read more

My vehicle was parked directly underneath the camera, someone came up and opened my vehicle, took out my tool bag and went through my stuff. I contacted the front desk about it, and they said that their system was down and they couldn't look at the cameras. I lost over $500 in tools. There are drug addicts and homeless people all around the hotel. It's pretty shady. I gave it a one star because the beds are soft. read more

Stayed there for a month because of a Truck Breakdown. Great Staff, the building is a little older but clean and secure. The greater Seattle are is a hot-bed of Democrat Politics so homeless are wandering around everywhere. The Staff makes sure the facility is safe. Morning free breakfast menu is long; fresh fruits, yogurt, cereals, do it yourself waffles, eggs, meats, potatoes, biscuits and gravy and as much as you want including juices. Checked in to the room and had to leave 2 hours later because there were cockroaches in the bathroom. We went and told the front desk and the guy said we would get a refund and to call in the morning because the manager would be in and she is the only one allowed to process refunds. Unfortunately, the deposit took what was in our account and we couldn't get another hotel room and were forced to sleep in our vehicle with our infant in freezing temperatures. And the manager refuses to refund us now because she personally didn't see the bugs. I'm sorry they didn't wait around for you to come in 6 hours later so you can see them. We had to stay at a place that had a full refrigerator since our Motorhome was being serviced. The room was so dirty! First I had to scrub the stovetop since the grease was thick and caked on so much so that I could not get it all off so it had been there for quite some time. Dishes were dirty and I had to wash them all to use them. The sheets looked dirty so I went to a maid cart and I changed the entire bedding. What I could not clean were the carpets. We wore socks while in the room and the socks were so black from the carpet that we had to throw them away. When we first arrived with a cart full of our refrigerated items a maid who worked there went in front of us to get into the elevator and the elevator was really slow so we stood there having to wait. We could not all fit in there with our things. That was just rude! She did not have a cart so she could have let us go first or take the stairs. The bathtub faucet had a constant drip and it seemed dangerous taking our dogs out to go potty. Homeless people and some people taking their dogs off their leashes out back. If you are looking for a hotel for a long stay, I'd bypass this one. It might work for a day or two. They advertise pool, but it's not open all of a sudden. When you ask to cxl the reservation, it wasn't possible because "I already checked in". That's what I was told. The bed is super uncomfortable but again, could work for someone needing an overnight. Clean room, friendly staff, complimentary continental breakfast, and afternoon cookies, with a nightly rate of $110 ish. Not bad. They also provided hot coffee, tea, water, and hot chocolate near the reception area all the time. As part of their amenities there was an indoor swimming pool. The swimming pool was rather small but it came with a jacuzzi tub. The room was giving an old-hotel vibe, but overall it was pretty nice. They included a mini fridge and a microwave in it, and most importantly the bathroom was clean and came with a good pressure shower head. My only complaint was throughout the whole nights of our stay there we could hear thudding and thumping sounds from the unit above us. Not sure if they were practicing for marathon up there or what, or maybe the ceiling/floor wasn't insulated enough to absorb any sound. The continental breakfast they provided was pretty basic but good! They provided hot foods such as eggs plus bacon strips (which could've been crispier) in rotation with sausages and biscuits. Also, they served toasts, bagels, mini muffins, hot-iron waffle makers, cereal, milk, yogurt, fruits and a variety of juices. Friendly staff and with La Quinta's App its easy to check in either using the online App or in person, as they usually will send you a welcome email anticipating your arrival, this is a welcome touch as it shows that they are on-top of things. Very clean and well appointed room with clean linen and sheets! One minor issue in the room was the office chair at the desk, the hydraulic has gone and the height cannot be adjusted, after reporting to the front desk, America ( our very friendly and efficient Front Desk Staff ), personally came within minutes to delivered a replacement! i usually never wright these because idc to do so, but holy shit this place is horrible, it was okay when i first got there until i found brown stains on the pull out bed. The breakfast wasn't too bad until i ended up in the hospital with my throat almost closed up, and i thought it was an allergic reaction but i went to Walmart and bought the EXACT same breakfast and nothing bad happened when i ate it, the pool is a dark green almost brown and only 3 ft deep unlike the pictures, there was also a few bugs in the hot tub, oh and dont even get me started on the staff, i didn't get a name but she was dark-ish, silly looking braids in a bun and it looks like a train ran through her front teeth (biggest gap ive ever seen omm) she was very very rude to me and the people i was with, my baby sister was touching stuff so she screamed at her (yeah a grown women screaming at a 3 year old) and then she decided too grab 5 cookies for herself because there was 5 left on the tray so right when i told my baby sister she can have one the front desk lady (with the silly hair) took them all. Also she closed down the pool my second day there but somehow everyone else got to go swimming except me, and i stood at the front desk for 20 minutes because she was on the phone loudly talking shit about people and completely ignored me. "About those chain hotels" On our recent November trip to the Northwest we stayed at a number of hotels including this La Quinta in Auburn, WA. Why this location? What is the draw to staying in Auburn? The Muckleshoot Indian Casino ( Hawaii Kamaaina have a thing about casinos- anywhere) is located a few minutes away and is one of the larger hotels in the area, Muckleshoot Casino has no hotel. I have been to many of the La Quintas over the years and I can honestly say this is one of the best of the bunch. Lots of parking, close to the freeway for easy access, very clean and comfortable rooms with interior hallway access. It is one of the newer La Quintas and is being maintained very well. The free breakfast offerings are pretty standard but still appreciated. They have a nice beverage table near the elevator for free coffee, tea, and iced water. We stayed there twice on this latest trip, once before our drive to Corvallis, OR and once after driving back to Washington before heading to Seattle. We were able to snag a room with a jetted type tub which was very relaxing after a long drive from Oregon. The beds were comfortable and clean, the AC system was quiet and worked pretty well. Noisy neighbors were never and issue, perhaps just lucky this time. Both times we really appreciated the friendly and efficient service by the hotel staff, different people, same great service. Good rates, friendly service, free breakfast and close proximity to a casino make this a winning combination. This La Quinta is a great choice when in the area. read more

Checked my father in law in because he had a house fire and his house was unlivable. He had to stay there almost 2 months. Unfortunately the front desk double charged us 3 different days and refused to look into the situation when we bought it to their attention. Beware if you ever switch rooms, they will charge you for both rooms and claim you left your old room after checkout time. 1 time they charged us for a room a full week after we had left that room , but again would not refund or even investigate the charge. This hotel seems to think that they can charge you for their poor communication about charging for 2 rooms on one night. If they had been upfront about the double charge we would have switched rooms the next day and not paid for both rooms. They never once informed us, just waited to see if we noticed on a 7 page billing statement. read more

Everything at this place was awful. Would give 0 stars. Doors are supposed to have soft-close and instead shut hard and fast injuring several members of pur party including a toddler. When we told the front desk about it, they didnt even do an incident report. They just said, "some doors work, and some dont." They apolgized, but that was it. The complimentary breakfast is terrible, but lukily they have a jack in the box next door. Police were monitoring the hotel when i went outside in the morning, knocking on doors, and both driving and riding bikes around the property. Apparently, this is not a safe area. Not a good place for families. Also we set up a time for pool access as per covid regulations and then went to go use it at our time and front desk lady came running in to scream at us that the pool is closed even though we have an appt. Their pool is closed from 6 am to 7 pm everyday for whatever backward logic that makes for "cleaning" for 12 hours, and they set us up for an appt for 9am for the pool. Kids were extremely disappointed as they should be. Level of service is subpar at best. This all happened in less that 10 hours. Buyer beware. read more

We often stay at La Quinta Inns when we travel and this one has become our new favorite. The staff was exceptionally courteous and friendly. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Our bed was very comfy and there were plenty of fluffy pillows to go around. One of the benefits of LQ is that they allow pets to stay. This location has a unique feature that we haven't seen at any other LQ or any other hotel at all - a dog park! Our 15 year old long-haired Dachshund, Roxy really enjoyed being off the leash in the "Bark Park." There's hot breakfast in the morning, really decent coffee available 24 hours and there is a heated indoor pool for those inclined to use it. When we stay in this area again we will choose this hotel! read more

The check in process was excellent!! Edwin came out with a genuine smile, polite, respectful, friendly disposition. Doggie friendly clean hotel, room was spotless, trust me I check everything! Comfortable bed. Sure you hear some people come and go, but really not bad at all. WiFi and plenty of parking. The area has many fast food restaurants around! Breakfast, cookies, water, coffee.... in Expedia it was an unbeatable $75 a night. But if there wasn't a Expedia deal I would still come back and pay full price. Now days customer service sets you apart! The room and everything is great but without the personable check in from Edwin it wouldn't stand out from other places. Was a very pleasant surprise. Especially for the price. Got it for under $90/night. Not too far from the I-5 freeway. Close enough to Federal Way and Korean food. The place was clean. Nothing super luxurious but was clean, spacious, and beds were comfortable enough. I really appreciated the large sink top area in the bathroom as have 3 kids now. They have a pool and fitness room but I did not try them. Free parking. The spaces are a bit small.... but i'm not complaining. Free wi-fi. Not super fast but still usable. Better than many other "free wi-fis" I've experienced at other hotels. Depends on the time, but speeds ranged anywhere from 0.5 mbs to 1.0 mbs. My mother-in-law was reportedly watching streaming videos just fine. Fresh cookies in the afternoon. Free breakfast with fresh waffles, juice, milk, cereal, hot eggs, sausage, toast, muffins, english muffins..... You can go to the Denny's next door and get a small discount. I would definitely stay here again if needing a hotel in the area. read more

I had a terrible experience with the staff here. I called to make my reservation, and the person taking my call reserved me for the wrong date. When I called to confirm on the day I was planning on coming into town, Pam informed me first that they couldn't find my reservation, and then that my reservation had been for the previous night and that I had been charged the FULL PRICE of the room as a "no-show" fee. They hadn't notified me that they were charging my credit card anything, let alone the full amount, and nor could they offer me the room I wanted on the night I wanted, because they had booked it for someone else. I was stuck having to get another suite for my family at a different hotel and with a $233 charge still on my card. Over the next few days and weeks, I spoke with many managers, including mainly Nicole, and even the La Quinta corporate office, but none of them were willing to apologize, or refund my money, comp me another night, or even compromise and charge me a lower no-show fee. In summary, USE CAUTION when dealing with these people over the phone, as they cannot be trusted to be truthful. Try and get any agreements IN WRITING, and expect them to gouge you for as much money as they can without apology. read more

Wow! After returning from a trip to NYC and finding our house flooded we booked a few nights here with only a few hours notice. Not only were they extremely accommodating (a dog? no problem, here's her own goodie bag!! Kids? Sure, bring them downstairs for cookies after 6! Flood you say? We will waive our normal credit hold fee, we know you have other important expenses!) but they were over and beyond simple front desk friendliness. We were so impressed with the customer service that upon walking into our room we were beyond floored. We just left a boutique hotel that morning in the middle of Manhattan and the La Quinta 2 Queen room was beautiful even by big city standards. RUDE FRONT DESK STAFF! I booked with Expedia (big mistake) but I've used them many times over the years. Hotel staff tried to call me the morning of our check-in day because despite Expedia stating that we could pay at hotel, THEIR POLICY IS TO CHARGE US BEFORE WE COME IN. When our card didn't clear, because we weren't planning on using that card, THEY GAVE AWAY OUR ROOMS! When I asked when did this policy start, to charge the morning of travel/check-in day, before we arrive, and Millennial Karen-in-training informed us, "Like, since hotels started...". Then she pushed printed "receipts" in my face to prove that they tried to call me earlier (while I was in flight and on route). Lettme guess, you overbooked? I paid too little for my room so you cancelled me and charge last minute rates? Horrible business practices. While the facilities were clean and the place seemed to be a good value for the money initially, all that changed at checkout. I extended my stay but something got mixed up while the extension was entered into their reservation system. I was informed (after checkout time) that I had to leave. When asked what happened to the extension they admitted they made a mistake entering it into their computer but the mistake was made and now I had to leave. Further I was informed that the one day I did get was at a much increased rate (this was never mentioned during the booking) and that If I was not out by 1:30 pm I would incur an additional charge. After scrambling to get out by the deadline given me I asked to speak with the manager. The attendant told me she was not there and that she would not hand out her number. When I asked if she could dial her manager and just hand me the phone the attendant refused. A general manager that cannot be reached by a customer tells me everything I need to know about a business. I wish I had known this is how they operated before doing any business with them. To sum up....If there was a review rating here that was in the negative 10's it still would not reflect the terrible experience that was had there. To add insult to injury the desk attendant was giving me attitude the whole time telling me she was doing me a favor by at least telling me I had a deadline to get out. After the debacle here I wound up at the Hampton Inn and Suites at the nearby town of Kent. What a difference. For a few dollars more I found a very nice place, bigger rooms and a hotel staff that really went the extra mile to make sure everything was right. Basically the polar opposite of this place. More than a week after making inquiries I still have not heard from either the management or the corporate office of La Quinta Inn and Suites. I have to give this place my lowest score. I am writing an update because it important to note changes that can, and will effect others. Unfortunately during my stay, I was the victim of domestic violence. The incident was not one that ended well for him, or myself. He destroyed my room here, and all my personal belongings. I was unable to continue my stay (prepaid via credit-card), as the hotel trespassed me with the local police department. Not only that, I was unable to retrieve my belongings, and was left with only the clothes on my back. This hotel automatically assumed I must be low-class, or a troubled person due to the circumstances. What a shame, what a crying shame. When you vacation with dogs in tow, you, unfortunately, will have very limited accommodation choices. After a bad night at a La Quinta north of Seattle, we knew we needed to find something else fast. We choose this hotel because central reservations for La Quinta said it was their newest in the area. It is a little outside of Seattle, but worth the extra few minutes in the car. The hotel is clean, new, VERY DOG FRIENDLY! They do not limit you to just one, old smelly room like the La Quinta in Everett. They give you dogs treats when you arrive and poopie bags to pick up the dog poop when you walk your canine friends. They will offer you a coupon to use at a local dog wash, should Fido need freshening up as well. Everyone is nice to you. And, they have a small, fenced in area in the back where you can walk your dog. Oh, and they will offer the humans fresh hot cookies whenever you walk through the lobby. And, of course, breakfast in the morning. And free Wi-Fi. read more
