I will never stay at Comfort Inn again. I paid over $200 for 2 nights but I wouldn't have paid $50 a night for the quality. It smelled like dirty dog (the cleaning lady was leaving for the day so she gave me a bottle of spray to use), the shower head looked like it had fuzzy mold on it, the fan switch plate was dirty, top of the shower walls were slimy, there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, light switch on desk lamp was broken so in order to turn it off I had to turn switch off by door to outlets in room which meant my phone didn't charge at night. The hot tub wasnt working. Breakfast wasn't any better. The apple juice was warm, and there were ants in the microwave and on the fruit. When I booked this hotel for our thanksgiving trip up north to see family it seemed like a great deal! $80-$90 a night is hard to find now days when booking a hotel. Overall the room isn't bad, but the bathroom area is a whole other story.... not sure what is going on with the tub but it looks like it's been patched multiple times and is just OLD... the bathroom is smaller than my walkIn closet... it looked like they built the bathroom and were like oh crap I forgot to make space for the toilet.. We recently stayed at this Comfort Inn for one night while passing through on a family roadtrip. Our room was a two-room suite, with a living room, and a Queen/Queen bedroom. One unique feature of this suite I haven't had in any Choice Hotel we have ever stayed in (we're loyal to the chain, long-time rewards club members), was a HUGE walk-in closet! It was bigger than the bathroom! It made it very easy to store and organize all our stuff for the night, ha! The room was right across the hallway from the indoor pool. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order, but the kids still had fun in the pool. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The front desk staff was friendly. We grabbed a few quick pastries from the complimentary breakfast on our way out. We enjoyed our quick overnight roadtrip stop at this Comfort Inn. read more

I just returned from a one week stay at this hotel. I chose this hotel because the price was right and the reviews were decent on Hotels.com and Trip Advisor. The experience was okay. 2 of the 7 days I was there, my room was not cleaned. The first one was after my first night there, so I made sure I said something to the front desk. Also, on my last night there, I returned from visiting family to find my room had not been cleaned. I was staying with my 2 year old granddaughter and I didn't like that the trash had not been taken out at the very minimum. We took advantage of the hot breakfast bar several of the days we were there, but would have liked a little more variety. A lot of these places usually alternate bacon and sausage. This one only had sausage. It got a little boring! I would probably stay there again, but would check the rates at the nearby Holiday Inn first! read more

When my daughter made the reservation for me for July 30, she was told that absolutely guests and staff were required to wear masks. When I checked out, there was a group of 5 - 6 adults congregating in the very small lobby area and then later outside all without wearing face coverings. I had to pass through this group several times as I loaded. up my car. I have been in quarantine since April 1, and was horrified that after all that time and the reassurances by the hotel staff about face coverings, my health was put in jeopardy because the mask requirement was not enforced. This pandemic is real and appropriate safety measures must absolutely be taken seriously. Overall, the quality of the room and space was second rate. Keep driving. read more

We wanted to do a one night get away , but have one problem. what to do with the dog. I found out through a long search , that many hotels have a cut off point for accepting dogs. That point is 50 lbs. This poses a problem for us, as Bandit is about 70lbs. He is extremely well mannered, quiet and polite, something that I cannot say for some teeny , tiny dog owners' pets.Oh, and he is a Bully Breed, something that freaks a lot of people out. Comfort Inn accepts dogs of all sizes and does have a $25 surcharge, but they did not blink when we brought Bandit in. They wished us a pleasant stay and it was. We got a King suite and it was very clean and had everything we could have needed, had we been staying longer(micro, mini fridge, iron,board, hairdryer,etc) The suite also had a pullout sofa bed,but Bandit was not feeling secure and needed to curl up with us. Very easy on/off access to I-80, places to eat nearby and a Super Wal Mart-what more could you need? They also have a complimentary hot breakfast(make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, bagels muffins, sweet rolls, cereal, juice and really good coffee)Not a fancy place, but the staff were very helpful and welcoming, certainly more important in my book! Nice place to stay in the area. Goose Lake/ Heideke Lake nearby for outdoor activities(fishing,hiking,boating). read more

I stayed in room 103 on 23 June 2021 and was bitten over 40 times by bed bugs. I let the night manager know they have bedbugs and apologized but did not offer a new room or a refund. My husband and I left at 3am as we were disgusted and I had an allergic reaction from the multitude of bites and had to take Benadryl to alleviate the burning itch of the bites. I called the hotel on 25 June 2021 at approximately 10am to let them know of the bed bug infestation and she told me she would have to talk with the manager. I have not received a refund and the manager did not call me back. read more

Pass on this lodging. I knew there was something wrong as soon as we got the room keys. Not your normal hotel card, these looked like nothing more than a pizza customer loyalty card that had been recycled? As we entered the building, huge pieces of floor were missing, exposed& unfinished sheet rock by stairs? A foul, stale Odor was everywhere, like an ash tray? We specifically had asked for Non Smoking room, this room smelled like a bad dive bar. Flies everywhere, plaster falling off the ceiling and walls? They advertised High Speed Internet, yet it was fast for ...for 1995 access. Two to three minutes to load a page? And crashes all the time? Constantly having to re-log in, all it does is route to their hotel site. When I asked directions to their workout room, I was informed they did not have one? When I reminded them their own website showed one, they said they had "told the website to remove it?" This was another reason I had chosen this lodging, another letdown. I then asked why pool was locked up, was told "under renovation"? Was told hot tub or working. Was looking forward to that after a long 12 drive! Not at all what was represented! The only thing promised that was accurate was there was a bed... Will think twice before ever considering the location again, should be a $29 a night room , definitely NOT a $90 a night room! This hotel only cares about your money and not your status a a frequent and continued Choice Hotels guest. I made a simple mistake and booked the wrong night for a stay through the Choice app. When Choice customer service called to get my 2 rooms refunded the hotel refused and kept my $250. I still had to stay in another Choice hotel on that stay, so 1 night for 2 rooms in 2 diff. hotels cost me about $500... I'm done staying with Choice and would never recommend this hotel as they have no mercy for their customers. Very disappointed in Choice. I will officially stop using Choice hotels for my stays. Other hotel chains would have refunded me with no questions asked. read more

Don't let the outside fool you. It was an older hotel, but very well kept and clean. We had a slight problem parking one of our cars, as we were driving/moving cross country and towing a trailer, but the guy working the front desk advised us that the gas station just across the way offered overnight parking. Not a problem at all since everywhere for miles was booked and we took the last room he had. Nice indoor pool, and good breakfast selection in the lobby, which was included in the stay. read more

Does not look like much when you walk in or even in the hallways but when we got into our room it was a pleasant surprise. Very modern. The bed was a bit stiff but that is a minor complaint. They had a nice buffet breakfast complete with eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins, oj, etc. Only warning I have is if you go through Travelocity or a sight like it be sure the hotel does not charge you also. We did get double charged but got the money back a few days later. Overall a great experience. read more

Stay here often for work. Nice quiet place with easy access to highway. Room prices are usually good. It's an older remodeled hotel but done nicely. They recently added an elevator to the get to the second floor. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. read more

This was a very nice place to stop after a day of driving. The front desk person was very nice, the room was clean, the bed was nice, comfy and soft and the pillows were even softer, they have a little breakfast that I believe is from 5 or 6 - 9 (will not be able to go, have to leave early), if your not happy with the hotel breakfast, I also seen an IHOP next door. Nothing appeared broken or needing to be replaced, the bathroom is a little bit small but not a big issue, and only other small thing is I wish they would put a thicker curtain over the window. Aside from that, very nice room that I would stay in again if I was in town. I was also informed at the front desk that this is a non smoking hotel. read more
