They had the option to pick that on the website! Checking in was a breeze. Early check in was also notified to us the day prior and on the drive there. My husband made a call to them asking if we can have two rooms connected and they were very accommodating. They didn't promise but they delivered. Customer service was very satisfactory. We not only were able to have connected rooms for our family, they placed us in a corner of the hotel away from other patrons. That was very thoughtful of them. Rooms were very roomy and clean. Beds were extra comfortable. Bathrooms were very nice. The double Queen room was bigger than our king size room. Free breakfast is served!! Wow I find that a total rarity these days. We didn't get to enjoy a free breakfast since we went to a nearby IHOP but next time we will. My kids LOVED the pool. Excellent size and there was a hot tub. The water temp for both was great! We were able to swim very late (10:00pm) and woke up early to swim again (8:00am). Overall it was a wonderful weekend stay. No hassles and very pleasant. Here are a few staff members I'd like to highlight that were absolute champs during our event. Anthony - this man was everywhere!!! From responding to urgent text messages asking for HVAC adjustments, to vacuuming the floor himself, to placing salad plates on the tables. Anthony was a huge help and consistently professional and reliable during our 2 days. It was a great pleasure to work with him. Karina - she was part of the serving/kitchen staff. Apologies for not remembering her title, but she was wonderful. It was evident that she took pride in her work and in getting things right. She was always on the move making appropriate adjustments and was always open and happy to take questions and/or requests with professionalism and grace. 2 Small negative comments 1. Conference room cleanliness - the conference floor/carpet needed to be vacuumed. NOTE: there was an event right before ours, but the made a bit of a mess on the floor and it looked a little unkept. Anthony himself did a lot of vacuuming for us to help clean up the main room. 2. HVAC - in the smaller meeting rooms, the HVAC was really loud and difficult to hear speakers over the noise. It also seemed difficult to get the air to those rooms turned off so the noise would stop during the speaker's time. Anthony did try multiple times to help in this area. The hotel stay was also pleasant - the room was clean and up-to-date. The gym was HUGE and had great equipment - weights and cardio machines facing the beautiful scenery outside. The outside of the hotel was also beautiful - a little pond and gas fire pit that's turned on in the evenings. The hotel restaurant was also wonderful - great food! And since our event used the in-house food, the food provided for our event was similar quality to what was served in the hotel restaurant. It was delicious! The room itself was small and quaint. There were a couple of hooks to hang clothes. They had a tv, keurig, and mini fridge. The bathroom was located across the hall. The pillows were a little uncomfortable. Definitely recommend this non-chain hotel for a different type of vibe.

Parking: They have a very small private lot that can fit one car per room. In the rare event you can't find parking, the hotel manager can help find you a new spot. Check in and check out: This hotel doesn't have a traditional front desk. Instead you will get a code for your door and the main door of the hotel building that you're in. Each room is so different and definitely find their website to see the difference between them all. While this place doesn't have a front desk and doesn't do daily turn down service, everything you need is just a text away. I truly loved the peace and quiet nature of this hotel. Only downside is since this hotel is an old house, it means that the air conditioning and heating is for the whole building vs the individual rooms. So if one room wants it hotter, everyone gets it hotter. Overall I loved this hotel. It's half a block from downtown Plainfield and walkable to so many wonderful restaurants and stores.
