We are extremely happy with our stay. The room is clean. We have plenty of towels. The blow dryer did not work so they brought a new one. The A/c works. There is a washer and dryer. While on vacation with my family we decided to make reservations at The Comfort Inn in Pine Grove Pennsylvania. The hotel is right off of Interstate 81 making it easy to excess if you are traveling. The hotel in my opinion was affordable; my family and I enjoyed our night stay. Once, entering the hotel we were greeted by the friendly staff who checked my family into the hotel. We paid $80 and the hotel room we stayed in had two beds, a table with two chairs (with a mini coffee machine), a reclining chair, microwave, mini fridge, television, and the bathroom was fully stocked with towels and soap. Everything in the room was spotless with no dust or wear and tear on any of the furniture. My family and I had a wonderful sleep and we felt safe sleeping in the hotel room. We slept straight through the night without any disturbances. In addition, the hotel offers free wifi, pool,ice machine, gym, laundry room, pet rooms, and smokers and non- smokers rooms. Furthermore the continental breakfast was decent and the area was clean. The breakfast included oatmeal, coffee (regular and decaf), cereal (Fruit Loops, Raisin Bran, and Corn Flakes), mini serving of orange juice(like what you get in a school cafeteria for breakfast), whole milk, scrambled eggs, sausage links, bagels (english muffin, cinamon, and everything bagel, and waffles. In my opinion the breakfast was average, but I enjoyed the waffles the most. The only downfall during breakfast was the waffles batter machine was not filled up and we had to ask the front desk if they could fill it up, which took some time, but other than that my family enjoyed breakfast. Also there were plenty of seats to sit at for breakfast. However if you decide to skip breakfast at the hotel there is a Mcdoanlds and Arby's right down the street. In addition, if you are worried about parking spots do not worry because the Comfort Inn has a large parking lot that is not far from the hotel, making it easy to carry your luggage. The next time my family is in the area and if the price stays the same we will be booking our rooms for The Comfort Inn in Pine Grove Pennsylvania. read more

If I could give this hotel a -5 Stars I would. BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew it was dirty so I was hesitant to lay anything out but what can you do. I was only staying here because of work. I could never fall asleep happy. Everything is DIRTY! The ceiling, the linen, the bathroom, EVERYTHING! I had a feeling there was a possibility of bed bugs just by being in there, on the last morning I woke up at 2-3am uneasy, and start feeling like maybe a mosquito bit me, I turn on the light and see a BED BUG! I start tossing the linens off, I came across 3!!!!! I have bed bug bites on my back, my thigh, and my butt cheek!!!!!! DONT stay here, if you want to stay on the low end maybe stay at the Knight Inn which is what I did to pass the rest of the morning but moved over to the Hampton Inn. Now I have to stay uneasy about my bags and clothing!!!!! read more

You get what you pay for. The Comfort Inn was $100. The building itself is not an attractive building to be walking into, it didn't feel cozy and like it would be a nice place to stay. The room had mold in the bathroom and the TV didn't work. The TV had no remote so we tried to change the channel on the TV and nothing would happen no matter how many buttons we tried. The beds itself was comfortable but the top sheet had stains on it. Breakfast was okay. I grabbed a bagel and orange. Didn't try anything else but did see the bananas were all bruised. If you're only going to the hotel to sleep for one night I guess it's an okay stay. Wouldn't recommend if you will be in the hotel a lot, if you want luxury, or it's a long stay. There is a Hampton Inn next door that we will be staying in next time. Was told by many who would stay here yearly to go to Rausch that the hotel used to be great. It's a shame they left it the same way it was several years ago and haven't updated anything in years. read more

There were rust stains in the tub. The shower head has seen better days and needed replaced. The toilet did not flush well and took two flushes to get everything down. The sink had no stopper. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this is what we had in our room. We asked for new bedding and only got sheets. I understand the short staff thing going on, but you shouldn't be leaving guest rooms like this. There's no way any cleaning or bed change was done . They probably put new towels and stuff and that was it. Absolutely unacceptable. Pee on the toilet seat and dirty toilet. It became clean after being flushed a few times meaning urine was left in there. Dirty bath mat that we put a towel down on because we didn't know what was growing on there. Mold on the ceiling. Dirty microwave, hair everywhere and stuff under the bed. Crumbs in the drawers. Please do better. read more

Used to be a great hotel but has quickly gone down. Feces on our shower curtain. No TP which means they didn't clean the room. No tissues. Dirty towels and beds. Staff is nice. That's the only positive I have to say. Such a shame. read more

A lot of the reviews I read about this place were mostly positive which might've been true 6-7 years ago when they were written but not now. I travel all across the country so I know how "hotels" work and operate. I checked in at 2am only planning on staying 10 hours. While checking in the hotel clerk said checkout is at 11am. Okay cool I replied but may I get a late check out of 12pm? And without any hesitation he replied "NO!" This establishment might've been nice back in the day but in 2021 it's past it's due date of needing to be spruced up. If you're tired and can't drive anymore then a room here for the night will work but trust me come 11am the next day the maid will come knocking and keep knocking till you pack up and hurry out the room. read more

When we arrived at 5am, we were given a key for a room that already had someone in it. We were horrified that we had woken up a stranger at 5am because of this mix up. We told the front desk and were given another key and told to "see if this one's empty" (thankfully it was). When we got into our room one of the lights didn't work, and the sink handle was broken off and we could only use scalding hot water. If you have a choice, don't stay here. read more

We have been staying at this hotel for over 15 years and this will be the last time we will stay here. For the last 2 years it has gotten more run down and doesnt feel safe anymore. Theres garbage all around. The free breakfast was cereal and a shared gallon of milk. It appears the hotel is being used for unsavory activities. When we checked in it was just 3 women and a baby and we had 2 rooms. The first night a staff member came banging on the door of one of the rooms in the middle of the night saying he received a call from the room (everyone was sleeping at the time and no call was made). They didnt realize my son-in-law was in the room and shocked to find a man open the door. The 2nd day I was walking through the lobby alone and the same staff member said "hey baby". I was very happy with my accidental discovery of the Pine Grove Comfort Inn. Was headed down to Hershey during Spring Break week, hotels were expensive, started searching north, this is the first one that really gave me a price break. It's a small cozy place snuggled in behind McDonald's. Heated pool, clean accommodations, and a breakfast befitting the more expensive Choice establishments (eg Quality Suites) complete with the Belgian waffle iron. Friendly staff was wonderful with my busy 9 year old. If you are headed down toward Hershey (which is about 25 minutes south) and want to save some coin, this is a great choice. read more

This is the place to stay if you're heading to Rausch Creek Off Road Park. Very nice place. Great bunch of staff members. Breakfast in the mornings. Being able to wake up to breakfast right before a whole day of wheeling.. And then leave the park when they close to head back to the Hotel and be able to shower off is amazing. Makes the trip that much more enjoyable. Usually if you head here during an Wheeling event, you'll usually see a bunch of peers in the parking lot hanging out and chatting. Stayed for a weekend at the local offroad park. The room was clean, and comfortable. With the exception of the very small bathroom. It was a challenge to use unless the door was left open. That a side, they were very accommodating of my Service Dog. They are a pet friendly business. A service dog is not a pet, and should not be talked to or distracted while working. It was nice that the staff here was well educated, and respectful of this. We enjoyed our stay. read more

The hotel was clean, the only problem that we noticed is that the water is hard and doesnt make much many bubbles and the toilet is stained from it. However, we met a nice hotel clerk (Jen) on December 30th of this year (2018) she was very friendly and courteous. We spent quite a while in the lobby (there were 4 or us) playing a game and she helped us put the table together so that all 4 of us could play on a bigger table. She told us a great place to eat dinner which we all enjoyed. She was full of information for us about the area. Very nice girl, a big smile when we checked in. She made us feel welcome and at home. More hotels should have a Jen at their front desk! read more

Brown water cake from the sink. Horrible customer service. Staff didn't care about our experience at all. Creepy guy crying on the phone right outside the front entrance. Another creepy guy sitting in the upstairs hallway for hours on his phone apparently talking to his "girlfriend" right outside our room. I would definitely steer people away from this place. Got the last room for the JK Freakfest and it is the preferred hotel for Rausch Creek so stayed. Pictures on site are exact. Staff friendly. Free Breakfast is a bonus. Beds comfortable and they have the best pillows! No kitchen or bar within the hotel for later hours but they do have a heated indoor pool. Great stay for the area (which is pretty desolate). Horrible experience. Traveled with family. Booked 3 nights. Required to stay 1 due to time and avaialbilty once we arrived. Booked online based on reviews and pictures. Arrived to tarps covering the roof. Broken gutters showering water to localized areas. Room wreaked of mold and mildew. Hotel is in need of repair. Staff was very helpful and refunded stay even though the owner was not wanting to as they were very aware of the issues. Obviously older hotel and needs a ton of repair. Some of the rooms are mold/mildew infested due to the leaking roof and broken gutters. I will never stay here or any other Comfort Inn again. read more

I arrived about 10pm the night of my check in. I woke up hungry the following day and was looking forward to my breakfast in the morning before the long day in Hershey Park. I was happy to see that they had bacon and eggs for breakfast. However, some kids ate the bacon and eggs. It was 9:15am and 45 minutes before breakfast was over so I politely waited for someone to refill the bacon and eggs. I waited for about 15 minutes until I went to the front desk to inform the staff that they were out of bacon and eggs. I told the staff member that they were out of bacon and eggs and asked if they would bring any more. The lady behind the counter said, "no because breakfast is over at 10 o'clock." I assumed that maybe she didn't realize that it wasn't yet 10am. I asked her what time did she have and she said 9:30am. So, I will not be returning because if they have breakfast included in the price, breakfast should be available until 10am, not until 9:15am. It wasn't a lot of people staying at the hotel so they should not have run out. read more
