The manager, Catherine, did not allow me to do this which really made my anxiety worse. I decided to call 988 to talk to someone for some help calming down but Catherine decided to call the police on me and had me sent to the hospital which just stressed me out more since I wasn't having suicidal thoughts. I just wanted someone to talk to. When I got to the hospital I was discharged because they didn't find anything wrong with me. Catherine is very dismissive of my feelings as well which makes me more depressed being here. Definitely not a good place to live and I don't recommend it

Look up "Omnicare Scam" or "Omnicare Reviews" to see the multiple federal cases against this subsidiary of CVS. We paid over $1,000 for unneeded prescriptions due to the relationship between Rockwood and Omnicare. Neither would take responsibility.

New owner switched up management, hired a new facility manager and what a difference. I was was kept informed, everyone felt more personable, more relaxed. They go above and beyond, I mean way beyond. That staff is exceptional, actually not staff but family. Today is Monday, my Mom passed Friday night 8-1-25, she was 98 and 7months, still a smarty pants. Caregivers and Hospice employees came in on their days off to hug her with tears. We told _______ we are paying the down payment today. We went in her office to discuss our options. We were told that Fairwinds has staff that comes in residents apartments to help with everything I just listed above. Man we were happy ! As we didn't know how mom would have handled the move. We were so relieved we didn't have to find out. All her needs would be met! We were very honest and upfront about mom's condition. We said sure let's do it! Mom can stay in her own apartment that she knows. GREAT! We were so happy and ________ made us feel like this was the right decision. We were told the extra cost and felt it was justified because getting her bathed is a chore and we are not caregivers & really didn't know how to bathe an elderly Alzheimer's mom. Mind you she was only 98 pounds but she was feisty and would speak her mind and fly the bird at you sometimes. In less than 48 hours she was comatose. She wasn't walking, we don't know if it was by choice or she forgot how. This went on till we secured her a spot at Fairwoods; they specialize in Alzheimer's/Dementia care. By the time the "NEW" home came to evaluate her she had lost a considerable amount of weight. We had to get her out of there. She either clashed with _______ or just was stubborn and shut down. Update now... has appetite is back, she gained weight, is actually getting herself down to the recreation room to socialize. We don't know if she thinks she's out on the town or what! But a very happy mom now!
