As a part time resident of Comfort, one gets to notice different places in town that one does not see or frequent very often. I wanted to buy a particular eggnog brand - it's really good for French toast - and found it at this local store. Surprisingly, it has a drive through lane and the service is fast. You hit that lane and drive to the back and a friendly person comes to the window and greet you with a smile. You tell them what you're looking for and they'll have it for you wrapped in a brown paper bag. You pay with a card or cash, and off you go. I've never been inside but it's a liquor store and adjacent to it is an oil change place with the same name, probably owned by the same people who owns the liquor store. If you need an oil change in your car, drive next door and walk to the liquor store and buy your alcohol! One stop shop! read more

The prices are reasonable, and like all liquor stores, they're open until 9pm and closed on Sundays. I agree with previous reviewer Bradley L, this really is the only liquor store in town worth visiting. The selection of Scotch is also really good at this store. No longer do I have to travel to Kerrville to visit Specs.

Great Vineyard, Frustrating Food Experience…read more This was our first visit to Singing Waters Vineyard, and the property itself is absolutely darling. The setting is beautiful, the staff at the vineyard were friendly and welcoming, and the wine was tasty. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and time with friends. However, the food truck experience was a big letdown and honestly the main reason we're hesitant to return. I paid $12 for a hot dog combo (pictured)--just a single hot dog and a small bag of chips. That price felt excessive for what we received. The kids' burger was $8 and was tiny...about the size of a quarter dollar with melted cheese and chips. The value just wasn't there. What made things worse was the service. Our friends ordered the exact same food right before us and received theirs much earlier. We waited about 40 minutes longer for the same order. It was frustrating, and it did make us wonder if my earlier comment about the hot dog price being extreme played a role. The kids were all still hungry. The vineyard itself is lovely and worth visiting, but I strongly recommend reconsidering the food truck setup...either pricing, portions, or vendor choice. The food experience didn't match the quality of the venue, and it definitely affected our overall impression.
