It looks like this is the sister property for Texas Salt Co. this is what we were told by the lady at the register. This store is way more spacious. They have everything from souvenirs to tshirts to olive oil... we got some chocolate truffles from here which we really enjoyed. The lady was super friendly and speaking of small town a lady was checking out before us. Long long conversation gossiping lol and yes I am here for it! It was so entertaining being part of the slow pace and the feel of old towns. They even have a dog roaming around the store and doing a great job being the store mascot You get 5 percent off with your receipt at the Texas Salt Co. Fantastic shop with something for everyone. The owners are super nice and know everything about all the product they carry! It's not just a souvenir shop! If you're on the Main Street and don't turn the corner, you might miss this gem. But DON'T! Seriously. Everything in here is made in TX, and most of it within 20 miles. It's more than alcohol. There is a massive variety of goods and gifts, with something for everyone. And the wiener is fantastic! He was helpful in suggestions about products too. They offer samples. After my purchase, he mentioned another shop that I had to go to, with directions, which I did stop by and bought stuff. So glad he did!!! He also asked if I had eaten, which I hadn't, and was looking for food. He suggested a place to eat, and told me what his favorite menu item was and how to order it. I followed all his suggestions and had the best afternoon! This guy should write a travel guide for Bandera. I love people like him, that are upbeat, pleasant, and helpful. He genuinely lives whet he does and his fellow businesses in the area. Stop by this shop and get something to support him to. He gives discounts to military, veterans, and first responders. Great gift shop. Everything in the store is made in Texas. One of the salespersons, reminds me of Ann Richards (former Texas Governor). She has the same white hair and I loved her sense of humor! She is wonderfuI hope the owners of Texas of Spirit realize how special she is and their daughter-in-law. Also, I loved the daughter in law of the owners...she was wonderful and an excellent asset to the store Both employees deserve a raise (coming from a happy customer..not from them. I could see the Ann Richard's look a like (can't remember her name and the daughter-in-law doing a a comedy act. Like the other review it is not a liquor store..Lots of merchandise made in Texas. Keep up the great customer service! Honestly, I think you should open a bar attached to the store or a venue...starring both of them. Note: I spoke with a family from Switzerland and the store has a map with push pins from customers that have visited the store from around the world. What a fun shop! If you see a whiskey that interests you, they might be able to fix you up with a sample. As it turns out, we found some excellent Texas-borne spirits. They also have a good selection of Texas souvenirs and Texas decorations. We'll be back. read more
