This location has been one of my family's favorite stores for many years. They have a wide selection of furnitures from bed frames, drawers, and couches. I came here for a couch and I had a budget ready. Thankfully this store allows negotiating, because the couch I wanted was WAY OVER the price that I was looking for. The couch I saw was $2600 - Ashley Tisdale 6 piece sectional with 2 recliner , 1 love seat. My budget was $1900, since the couch I bought from Costco didn't work out, and thankfully they allowed me to return it... The owner of the store made a deal with me, and bought the price down to $2000 and free delivery if you lived in San Leandro area. The only downside about this is that 1) no returns 2) measurements must be accurate, so you know if it'll fit in your living space 3) cash for a better discounted price I'm glad I was able to purchase my forever couch :) During the deliver, the kind men brought it in and pieced it together ! I'm extremely disappointed with the service we received from this furniture store. My mom purchased two box springs on April 3rd and scheduled delivery for two weeks later. After not hearing anything, we called to confirm and were told delivery would be on April 25th. My mom waited all day no one showed up and there was no communication. On April 27th, we went into the store and spoke with an older gentleman who apologized and said the black box springs were out of stock, which is why delivery didn't happen. He promised they would be delivered that same evening. After waiting all evening, the delivery finally arrived close to 9 PM but they only brought ONE box spring, even though we purchased two. The next day (April 28th), I called and was told the missing box spring would be delivered that evening. Again, my mom waited all day and no delivery and no call. On April 29th, I called again and was told it would be delivered that evening between 6:30-8:00 PM. Once again, no delivery and no communication. On April 30th, my son called to follow up yet again, explaining how many days my mom had wasted waiting. We were then told it would be delivered that day but that someone needed to be there to help the delivery driver because he is elderly and couldn't carry the box spring on his own. This was extremely frustrating. My mom is also elderly and specifically paid for delivery service so she wouldn't have to deal with situations like this or find someone to help. The delivery was finally completed on April 30th, but the entire experience was unacceptable. The lack of communication, repeated missed deliveries, and unreasonable expectations placed on the customer made this a very frustrating and exhausting process. I would not recommend this store based on our experience. read more

The store has alot of nice furniture. Good prices. Staff was very pleasant and helpful - welcoming you when you come into the store. My wife and I purchased a cabinet/dresser. We paid for it and were promised a delivery in four days. On the day of delivery I called the store about 12:15 p.m. for an ETA of our furniture. I was told Delivery was scheduled between 5 - 7 p.m. We only live about 10 minutes away, so I thought it would'nt be a problem. At 6:50 p.m. I called the store again inquiring about my delivery. I was told that the drivers were running way behind but they would be there. At 9:00p.m. My wife and I gave up on receiving our furniture. We received no call indicating they would'nt be delivering today/tonight, or what next plan of action is. This is not good customer service. There seems to be a lack of communication between drivers and store owners. There should not be, although store hospitality is EXCELLENT I have to say, the "No" delivery and the "No" call leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. My wife and I will be relocating soon and we were planning on purchasing furniture in this store to take with us but we will do no more business with this store. If I can give it a negative 100, I would. This place is a scam. I've purchased a dining table a year ago, and the table that Ive purchased was never delivered. They delivered the wrong table and promised to deliver my actual table. I've been contacting this company and also came into the store. They have always said it is out of stock or we will deliver it next week. I am asking for my money back or the table that I've actually paid for. Now they are saying that they can not help me. If I can give it zero stars I would. I went couch shopping in mid-December and happened to come upon this store. The staff was nice, greeted me, and offered their help. I was going to move into my new place in January so I wanted to go early couch shopping. Lani helped us and seemed like a really genuine person. Little did I know, I was being subtly scammed. The couch I wanted happened to be in her stock and she informed me that the couch was ready to be picked up. I wanted to pick up the couch when I was ready to move in so I gave her more than a month in advance just to make it easier for her since I know of the low inventory because of the issues with the containers stuck at the ports. She gave me an unbelievable price on the couch and it was not an offer I can refuse. I really wanted to work with her so I gave her the benefit of the doubt feeling like she will take care of her customers because of all the good reviews I've seen. Anyways, I scheduled a time and date to pick up the couch and everything seem to be going really smoothly. Unfortunately, it did not go well at all. The day came and I called her to see whether the couch was ready. I did not get a response until the next day and what I heard was not what I wanted to hear at all. There was water damage on the couch and it looks like the vendor does not want to release the couch to the customer due to the potential dangers of mold and mildew. I called her to see if she can send me a picture but she was reluctant to do so since it was at the warehouse. I wanted to just pick up any other pieces that weren't damaged but she said they were all damaged. I was willing to wait for another month to see if she can really help me out with my wishes but the whole time I was really trying, she kept pushing the refund back to me. I shopped around Sacramento instead, since that was where I moved to see if anyone can help me with the same couch and similar pricing. Luckily, I was able to visit another furniture store and he told me the truth about the furniture business. I didn't tell him anything except that I was getting this couch for a good deal. He looked up the couch I wanted and told me not to believe what I heard from Comfort Living since the couch I wanted was actually more than 2x the price of what Lani wanted to give it to me for. He said right now the inventory is really low and the majority of everything is out of stock. He also told me that what suspicious furniture stores are doing is that they will promise a delivery date for a piece of furniture after giving you a ridiculous price. Take your deposit. When that date nears they don't deliver because there was some kind of "damage" that was done or something out of their control happened. Funny...because that's exactly what happened to me. He also told me the reason for this is because that's how furniture stores obtain interest-free money that they can just refund when the time comes. Imagine moving into a new place and one of your biggest furniture purchases ended up falling through. Everything you have planned became a headache for you because now you're stuck looking for one of the main pieces of your living room, instead of having to spend the time more productively, especially if you already planned this ahead of time. I went straight to Lani and asked for my deposit refund and was able to get the same couch from another place in Sacramento and they actually delivered it. I paid more for it but it was definitely worth it because this time I have it in my living room and it took them less than 2 weeks to do it. One piece of advice I have for anyone shopping for furniture is that if the piece you want isn't on the showroom floor or if you can't physically see or touch it. Proceed with caution. read more

They had a couple futon floor models but when I didn't find the particular color I wanted, the staff were really great with showing me alternative options from their catalog. I believe it was Lani that helped me and she was super patient and nice (lol I'm really indecisive). WORST Customer Service - I purchased 6 seater dining table set from Comfort Living in Hayward on December 10th 2022. Lani is the sales person who sold dining table set to me. They came to my house a week later as promised to deliver the dining table. Glass top of the dining table has many scratches. I didn't purchase floor model or one with scratches. These guys said they will replace the glass top and left the house. Then after multiple calls to their showroom, They sent new glass top to my house and after coming to my house, They realized it was for different model. These people were so inefficient and cannot even look at invoice details for the correct model and replace the faulty item they delivered initially. I am still waiting for them to replace the glass top. Whenever I call them to check about status, They don't even give tentative date on when they can deliver the replacement. They keep saying they will call back when the replacement arrives at the showroom and never give the update. When I asked for refund, they even denied refund for this faulty item.
