This place does have good therapists, and got me off alcohol. I feel 100% better and feel better…read moreabout life. Once you leave Harbor Village, they're still concerned about your recovery and will answer any other questions you have. The staff is polite, but you have to follow the rules which is understandable. This place like ALL rehabs have patients who are not happy to be there, but you have to ignore that, help each other if you can, and focus on the many positive things you can leave with after a stay at Harbor Village. The food was good plus plentiful with polite staffing. They keep you pretty busy with classes and one on one discussions Mon-Fri, which is good. On the weekends you have a few classes, but you are given more down time, plus they take you on some excellent fun field trips. I recommend this place for those who really want to get sober. You will be armed for the rest of your life with how you CAN stay off drugs and alcohol. You have to embrace and nurture your sobriety. Jeffrey K.

Rating: WARNING If you or a loved one are seeking…read moregenuine help and recovery, stay far away from this facility. It is a predatory money grab that relies on coercive tactics, false promises, and questionable legal practices. Medication & Legal Violations They refused to give me my prescribed Suboxone, completely disregarding medical continuity and basic patient care. Furthermore, they attempt to trap patients by withholding essential personal property--including wallets, IDs, cell phones, and medications--to keep you from leaving. Withholding someone's legal identification and property is a complete sham and a violation of Florida statute. Living Conditions & Food The conditions here are terrible. The food is atrocious--jail literally serves better meals. You are lucky if you get a single vegetable a day, and the drink options are bare minimum. Don't be fooled by their website marketing either; their advertised "waterfall" is nothing more than a small pile of standing water. Staff & Customer Service Customer service and administration are completely lackluster. Commitments made on day one were never honored, and staff only acknowledge you if you reach a boiling point. Upon leaving, the recovery coach condescendingly threatened to ban and trespass me instead of offering actual support. The single bright spot in this entire facility is Mickey. He is an absolute goat, genuinely cares about the patients, and does everything he can to support people. Outside of Mickey, there are zero honorable mentions. I have nothing to gain from writing this other than warning a fellow addict. Do not let them spin circles around you or take advantage of you when you are vulnerable. Protect yourself, know your legal rights, and go somewhere that actually prioritizes recovery over profit.
