They would only give a store credit which is not optimal but ok. However, several times my wife went back and they either did not have her size or a shoe she liked. Then she found out she could only apply $20 of our money, their store credit, to her purchase. So she had to purchase other items and spend more money to use up her credit on money she originally spent at the store. Needless to say, this is the last time we will ever buy anything at this store. We had joined their buying club and we had made purchases many times before. The manager didn't care about losing us as customers and even told my wife he was doing her a favor because their policy only allows them to apply $20 per day in sore credit...which means she would have had to go there 4 times to use the full credit! For your own sake do not shop at this store because if you have to make a legitimate return you will pay for it!

But today was an entirely different experience- I see that there are other comments and reviews for the woman behind the desk- rude and unsympathetic. Lisa C. nailed it with her comments in her review. We walked in and the first thing she said was, "do you have an appointment" and I said No. I asked if my mom could get a pair of shoes and she said "No - you need an appointment- booked for the day"! Then she said quite abruptly "you should have called"...hahahaha- really... I said I was here in Feb. and we just walked in- I asked her when they changed the policy, and she said about a month ago... Unless you are a customer that visits this store every day, how would one know about this policy change? { I viewed the website before I wrote this review and it doesn't even state anything about the required appointment - except: "Appointments for medical issues are highly recommended". Actually, the main webpage states: " We're not your everyday shoe store! Call us today to see how we can help you"! Now that is a pleasant and welcoming statement- too bad they don't carry over that business model into their store.} Then I asked the woman if I could speak to the man who was helping (the one and only customer in the store), and she said "No, you can't" - Hold on whoa!! What is her attitude? Well at that point I turned to my Mom and her aide and said "we are leaving; they are very disrespectful" ...As I passed by the man, I spoke to him directly anyway...asked if he could quickly see my Mom since she is elderly and doesn't get out much....I intentionally spoke to him because unless you are my GOD, you are not going to tell me who I can or can't communicate with...I found out he is the owner and he said he has no staff and he is very ill - of course, I am so sorry for your situation, but you should fire your rude staff person and close up shop now... perhaps you just don't care how you treat people! Karma works in strange ways. Thank goodness for FLEET FEET - they were very accommodating, and my Mom was in her new pair of $150 sneakers within an hour after we left your shop. If I could convince others reading this review not to come to your store then I have accomplished one small deed. The shoes are adorable and comfortable. Sadly, after only 2 1/2 hours of wear the dye from the elastic straps completely transferred to the tops of my feet. I have never experienced this in a shoe before. I called Shoe Spa and Michael without a second of hesitation offered a full refund. I expected to send the shoes back so he could take it up with the manufacturer Rieker, and their faulty product. Instead, he said that would not be necessary and he offered some advice on possibly setting the dye. I offered to send him the pictures but again he offered and initiated the refund without a second of hesitation. I appreciate the amazing customer service, the owning of the issue and the solution to the problem.
