This review is about the stellar customer service. I purchased sandals online. The brand is a Rieker a renowned German shoe company founded in 1874, known for "anti stress footwear". The shoes are adorable and comfortable. Sadly, after only 2 1/2 hours of wear the dye from the elastic straps completely transferred to the tops of my feet. I have never experienced this in a shoe before. I called Shoe Spa and Michael without a second of hesitation offered a full refund. I expected to send the shoes back so he could take it up with the manufacturer Rieker, and their faulty product. Instead, he said that would not be necessary and he offered some advice on possibly setting the dye. I offered to send him the pictures but again he offered and initiated the refund without a second of hesitation. I appreciate the amazing customer service, the owning of the issue and the solution to the problem. This store specializes in comfort shoes, particularly brands like Naot and Sofft which can be ordered from Zappos. I like seeing the shoes and trying them on, though stock here is low. Today, I very nicely asked that the owner, who was waiting on me, put his mask on. We are having a resurgence of Covid and the clientele here is mostly over sixty, including me. Wow. What an ugly acting Trumper! We don't need masks in Florida, he says. There is no virus in this state. Either he is uneducated or just a died in the wool Trumper...emphasis on the death part. Stay out of this store if you don't want to support this kind of behavior. He could have put a mask on if asked to and then removed it when we left instead of being rudely political. I love this store! The owners are great and always helpful! They have a lot to choose from based under the conditions of what is going on with the economy with supply and demand. It is very sad that you have people making up stories and trying to ruin a great small business! I visited the Shoe Spa during a trip to Florida last winter, and bought a pair of Cork-Ease sandals in a nifty shade of green, that were sooo comfortable. The Shoe Spa accepted the return for exchange, worked with Gentle Souls and sent out a new pair in time for my trip to Italy. I do not recommend this store, they are unethical. I purchased several shoes and a bag from them, as well as new insoles for a pair of the shoes. They told me to take the insoles and new shoes to the shoe repair to have cut to size. The shoe repair said (1) they should have cut them for me, not expected me to pay for them to be cut when I purchased the shoes and insoles from them; and (2) they sold me the wrong size insoles. I returned to the store to exchange for the correct size and I was informed I had gone over the 14 day return policy and they would not exchange. I explained I did not have time to run directly over to the shoe repair and that I was exchanging something they sold to me incorrectly. It did not matter to them. I was not exchanging something that has a shelf life, I was exchanging insoles they sold to me incorrectly. They were rude. I have told all my friends about my experience and we have all vowed never to purchase there again. read more
