My husband is Titanium elite for life because he spent so much time staying at Marriott properties. Springhill is one of my favorites for road trips. I really like the trundle bed/sofa. My grandson slept comfortably. It's easier to set up and put back together than fold outs. They offered a good breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, bagels, English muffins. I just wish they'd had half and half. I don't like artificial creamers.

The next morning around 6:00 a.m., we went downstairs to get a luggage cart and coffee. The front desk was unattended because the employee was sitting in that same vehicle outside. We waited for a while for Starbucks to open and could hear employees working in the back, but no one ever acknowledged the guests waiting in the lobby. When we asked the front desk associate if anyone was working, he simply replied, "Yeah, they're getting stuff ready," and continued going in and out of the building without offering any additional assistance. As we were leaving, the lobby had become crowded, including two guests with very large dogs waiting in the Starbucks line. I realize many hotels now allow pets, but that's something I'll be paying closer attention to in the future. I am uncomfortable around large dogs and prefer hotels that do not allow animals in the common indoor areas. Because of the lack of attentiveness from the staff and the pet-friendly environment, we will choose a different hotel on future trips.
