We ended up pulling off in Jackson just to get some rest. We thought about dinner, but the restaurant was out of about everything and any substitute they could offer came with a substantial upcharge- the steak salad would have been billed as a ribeye dinner since they "ran out of salad steak". Drinks were alright if a bit expensive. That's a hotel. The front desk attendant was delightful. The room was clean and as appointed as one would hope. We checked out super early so no one was there. Just left the keys on the desk, it worked out. The coffee machine in the little market is jacked though, lol. read more

Had a nice stay. This was my first time traveling since the pandemic so I was very nervous. At the door I was greeted by a sign that stated required masks due to state mandate. . There were so is distance markers on the floor throughout the lobby area. . Elevators were limited to no more than 3 passengers. Once I arrived at the floor for my room, the first thing I noticed was that the room doors were all sealed with a sticker that identified that the room had been sanitized. . The room looked and smelled clean, but out of caution I still went behind housekeeping and did my own sanitizing routine. I did my customary mattress check and found no evidence of bedbugs. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Housekeeping was available by request so we did that to get our fresh towels. Of course the pandemic has changed so much that we considered normal...that also included the free hotel breakfast. Instead of the usual buffet that most are accustomed to we were given brown bag breakfasts. At the front desk we had a choice of frozen sausage biscuits (to be heated in your room) with a nutrigrain bar, an oatmeal cup (also to be heated) with a fruit cocktail cup or an uncrsustable pb&j. There were also bottled waters available. I think they did the best they could considering our current circumstances. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I had a wonderful stay experience everytime I stay in Jackson at this lovely hotel. Tyler works the night shift is always so friendly and helpful. He is the best at hospitality. Roxi was my server and bar tender, sweetest person and amazing service and food! The best steak ever. The rooms are beautiful and clean. I always feel at home when I stay here. This was one of my vest stays at a Hilton. Great room amenities, nice front desk people, and great service for breakfast. Server was helpful, and the cook went above and beyond on the French toast. But... didn't get to use the gym because I was working in the morning. Only real downside to the place was the noise from the road right behind the hotel. But the bed was so comfortable that once I fell asleep, I had no idea what was going on outside. Room was well laid out on all aspects. read more

Quiet place just off the highway with a lot of restaurants and stores nearby. Staff are very polite and go out of their way to be helpful.

I stay at Hilton's constantly for work and have been a diamond member with them for a long time, after reading reviews selected this one. However I was very disappointed in this location. We arrived Sunday around 5PM (online check in and digital key worked great) and the restaurant was closed. When I asked if it's normally closed on Sunday they said no, but it is today. So I went into the pantry area to get some drinks to go with my door dash order. They were stocked on soft drinks and teas but there was only one mini bottle of wine and a few beers. I asked if there was anything else and the response was no just what's there. Ok no problem I added a bottle of wine to my door dash order. The bathroom was just gross! There was rust all over the metal area of the sink frame, a random piece of metal on the floor that was probably a cover for something else, a clump of hair that looks like it was from when they mopped and didn't pick up. The shampoo in the shower was empty, water was barely warm and the sink was clogged and barely drained. Very disappointed as Hilton is my chain of choice and normally the experience is much better than this one. read more

After a long day of travel I arrived at the hotel. When I got into my room I noticed some red stains on the carpet between the bed and the window. I put my belongings down and kicked my shoes off. As I walked across the floor at the foot of the bed I stepped in something wet. I looked down and realized I was standing in more red stains. WET red stains. EWWW!!! I had to leave for a business dinner and stopped by the front desk on my way out and told her about the carpet. She assured me they must have cleaned the carpet and it was just still wet there and it pulled the stain up. I told her the only wet areas is where it is red. She said she would have someone go up to the room and take a look while I was at dinner. When I got back the carpets were still wet, still red. I called the front desk and she said she had sent someone up but they must have gone to the wrong room. (Really??) So she would send the maintenance guy up now. Keep in mind, I am tired, it has been a long day and i still have work to do before turning in and an early morning. Finally the guy arrives and says it must be wine and they probably tried to clean it. I said that I would have thought some Oxy Clean or something similar would have cleaned it better than that. He leaves and comes back with a carpet cleaner and it sucks all that red right up. The next morning when I get out of bed I open the curtains and turn around and notice there is red blood on the side of the sheet. Of the bed I JUST SLEPT IN! So, now I am thinking that the sheets were not even changed! UGH!! When we are in a pandemic and everything is supposed to be highly sanitized and here I am walking in blood and sleeping in unchanged bloody sheets. I would NEVER EVER want to stay there again. If you don't care about hygiene then this is your place! They didn't even offer to move me to another room. read more

I walked in the door and Tammy acted as if I was disturbing her day. She was the rudest person I have ever met and I am ex military and I have been around the world. My friend son died so I was late checking in I had reservations for two days so what you got paid!!!! Tammy needs to be moved to the back so she does not interact with people. Every one else was really great! The guy tried to lessen the blow but she would not let up. Don't stay here. read more

The lobby has a mildew smell the linen in my room appeared clean but didn't feel clean the mattresses and pillows were extremely soft and worn down I felt like I was in a water bed ....I had the worst sleep because of it ....and there was crumbled crackers in the chair in my room on arrival and there was certain parts of the property that look like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time very dirty and unkept read more

It's new, clean and modern. The kitchen, however, needs a little help. Between an apple salad looking like it was pulled from a bag (complete with thick slices of processed cheese), to cold breadsticks feeling like they were dipped in vegetable oil, it's in need of a little love from a chef. Rooms are nice and clean and the beds are comfy, it just needs to be taken up a notch and I'd recommend it to anyone. read more

We stopped in Jackson, TN after driving 9+ hours. We decided to pay the astronomical price for a small, filthy room. The sticker on the door is purely ornamental and is done to pacify those who are concerned about the pandemic (which you would never even know is happening in this whole entire town as no one wears a mask or is wearing it improperly). I found hair, broken off fingernails in the corners of the room as well as streaks of makeup, food, or feces on the walls. The comforter reeked and was stained as well. I'm not sure who they're attempting to fool with their claims of being cleaner than ever before and fighting against this pandemic, but it's a complete farce. It was, however, convenient and the town had everything a desperate tourist could need. We will certainly plan out our trips better as to avoid Jackson, TN in general. read more

I am giving this hotel one star and I believe that is being generous. I wish there was an option to give no stars as this was the worst hotel experience that I have ever had. My family and I stayed at this hotel when we came back home for my Uncle's funeral. We had 10 rooms reserved. However, upon arrival, we discovered that 8/10 rooms were not cleaned properly. My Cousin had to be switched to another room because her original was disgusting and seemed like it had not even been cleaned. I had to contact one of the staff to change the sheets in my room as it appeared and smelled as if they had not been changed. Also, worst of all was the treatment we received by certain staff. After burying my Uncle, my family and I returned to the hotel to eat and have fellowship after the loss of a loved one. We had already received the "okay" ahead of time to use the lobby for set up. However, during our evening, I noticed the woman who'd worked behind the bar earlier that morning to serve breakfast, taking pictures of my family and I. She then returned to a woman at the front, who I assume was the manager, and began showing her the pictures and appearing annoyed. Myself, my Mother, and my Aunt approached them to question why she had been taking pictures of us and to please delete them. She initially denied this but soon admitted it. We remained respectful to them during this time. However, the woman who had been taking the pictures began shouting at us and so did the woman behind the desk and threatening to have the police called and have us removed from the hotel. She stated that she could not open the bar with us sitting there. To clarify, it was an open bar and only two of my cousins were sitting at the bar. In fact we were all waiting for the bar to open to buy drinks. Clearly that was not going to happen after such behavior. I clearly asked why she could not come over there and ask us to move so that she could open the bar or speak with us like human beings instead of immediately treating us like criminals. This was truly a disheartening encounter. Also to clarify, my family and I are black, and the two women that harassed and berated a grieving family were white women. The woman who took the pictures was a thin white woman with short blonde hair in a bob cut, who appeared to be in her 50s, who served breakfast from behind the bar in the mornings and tended the bar in the evenings. I did not get her name. The other woman, who worked behind the front desk was a shorter white woman with long brown hair and looked to be in her 20's or 30s. One can only assume that their actions were racially motivated, which was truly disappointing. By far this was the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel. In fact, it was so bad that it has caused me to write this review, when I usually do not take the time to write reviews. My advice is, if you are a family of color or value clean guest accommodations, AVOID this hotel at all costs. read more

We arrived after a long drive and wanted a hotel close to Interstate 40. This location was perfect although we did ask for a quiet room and got one. The hotel is new and the rooms are large, bright and airy with comfortable beds and also a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. There was a full bar and restaurant downstairs where our order was taken by the friendly and efficient Dana and we had steak and salmon cooked to perfection by Giovanntay and Bobby. Would be happy to stay here whenever we are back in Tennessee. read more

This was an excellent place to stay with a child as we drive cross country. Our room was quiet, clean, and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. After a long day of driving, it was amazing to be able to order room service and it was super tasty! We got the salmon grain bowl and the pasta with steak - highly recommend. I love the Hilton so we frequent their hotels often. The Hilton Garden is close to a ton of restaurants and shopping plazas, walmart is less than 10min away. The staff here are very pleasant. Our non-smoking, white bed linens (a must-have) king suite was clean and pretty large with a queen size sofa bed. Only downside is that the Memphis airport is an hour and a half away. read more

Stayed one night here and the room was large and very clean. We were very satisfied with our accommodations, but disappointed in the breakfast. We paid $10 each for hours old buffet breakfast and it was disappointing. We would stay here again but eat elsewhere. read more

This is a brand new hotel in Jackson, TN near I40 on Van Rd. Although the hotel is near many businesses, it is set back from the busy road enough that you feel safe and a little out of the craziness that the I40 and 45 exchange presents (lots of road construction currently). The lobby is spacious and welcoming. The tile resembles weathered barn wood and the motif continues throughout the hotel while still blending modern and hip accents. Our room had 2 queen beds, a long desk, microwave, mini fridge, Keurig, a chair with seating area and lots of little touches to make the stay enjoyable. The sliding barn door for the bathroom and the the sawhorse supports on the desk were elegant touches to continue the look of the hotel into the room. We had a nice breakfast buffet in the morning, however it's not included with the stay so you will pay hotel prices for the food. The staff was very friendly and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and good meal. While they were still getting the place set up they took every opportunity to greet us and welcome and thank us. If this level of customer service remains, this will be one of the best hotels in the area. read more

If there was a way I could give 80 negative stars, I would. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Jackson, TN for Thanksgiving 2020 and experienced the worst check in of my entire 35 years of traveling. I booked the stay well before my check in and called prior to my check in to note I would be checking in after 3pm due to being with my family. The receptionist acknowledged my statement and I thought I was set to go. When I finally arrived at the hotel, the receptionist, Cristy was nowhere to be found and my family had to summon her to the front desk. As you can imagine, this wasn't a good start to the white glove service Hilton depicts. I didn't sweat it because I just wanted to check in after a long day of traveling and spending time with my family. As I gave Cristy my name and CC, I noticed she began swiping my card several times. Again being understanding, I didn't raise any concerns because I know chip readers timeout. But still my card should have not been swiped 4 times. After the 4th swipe, I asked if she had my reservation and even gave her my name for confirmation. At this point, I knew something was off. She assured she had my reservation in their system and advised that the incidental fee was only $20. I said thank you and with a bad taste in my mouth, me and my family went to our room. When I got to the room I noticed that my card had been charged ****TWICE**** for the room and when I called back down stairs to advise of the double charge...she brushed the issue to the side as if it didn't hold any significance. Stating, "Oh it will get corrected in the morning when you check out"....she did not try and investivage what took place. At that point I was exhausted with the entire situation and went to sleep annoyed as ever because not only did this happen visiting family but this happened on a Holiday out of all days. On a brighter note, If it had not been for the front desk manager AJ, I know things would have ended on an even depressing note. AJ explained to me that the receptionist did not process my card correctly and mis-posted the charge several times. I thanked him for addressing the issue and he comped the night due to the issue. All in all, my account was charged $400 for a basic plane jane 1 night stay. This should never have happened to me and or any one else, on Thanksgiving of all days. To make matters, when the hotel manager emailed me back, there was no response to ensure the extra charges where sent back to my account or reversed. This hotel needs to be shut down. read more

We have been travelling across the country, and frequent The Hilton brand as an honors member. This was by far our most expensive room. I figured the charge was because of the hotel being new and, possibly, the location. While I was checking in. I noticed a women with her dog. No service vest. When I questioned the clerk as to their pet policy. I was informed, they are to assume all pets are service animals, no designated rooms and no surcharge. This concerns me, as I am highly allergic to cats. Non pet owners should have an equal opportunity and expectation to have a room never inhabited by a pet. Other than that, housekeeping should be more diligent. Our room was missing an iron and coffee creamer. This is my first review in 3 weeks of traveling, as I have noticed many properties, not all Hiltons, have displayed their pet policies. read more

I'm currently sitting in my room at this hotel listening to the highway traffic. The location of this hotel in proximity to the highway is almost unbearable. I didn't think about it when checking in but when entered the room the first thing I did was call the front desk...just my luck hotel is full and I'm stuck listening to highway noise. Do yourself a favor and request a room not on the highway side unless you can sleep through the Daytona 500. Otherwise the hotel is very nice, staff seems accommodating and it's near plenty of places to eat. Very disappointed Hilton. read more

BEAUTY IS ONLY SKIN DEEP for this new Hilton Gardens Inn located on a nice strip of hotels, restaurants and shopping opportunities. However cutting of cost when it comes to customer services is evident by the inability to get a cup of coffee in the lobby after 10 AM. ( Unless I wanted to spend $1 per Kruig Cup in their commissary. The same Kruig they put in our room "for free") And while talking about coffee, it's the only free morning food for guests in the lobby. Your breakfast buffet is $9.95. The friendly bar and restaurant that serves customers at this hotel stops serving everything...yep they shut down all restaurant services at 10 AM and do not reopen until 5PM for drinks and dinner. The beautiful heated pool with clear salt water looked very inviting. But it wasn't up to city snuff, so grandkids couldn't swim. IT NEVER HAS BEEN OPEN But it's one of Hilton's big selling points on their website. This was our number one reason for choosing THIS hotel. Finally, heaven forbid my husband and I traveling together for a 6-day stay brought more than 8 items of clothing needing to be hung up! So get this; when I stopped two houses keeping staffers to ask if we could get a few more hangers, I was told that each room got 8 hangers...period. Enough said...beautiful facility but unfortunately it's very POORLY MANAGED. Our stay was one disappointment after another. Shame on you Hilton. We thought you were better than this.
