We stayed at this La Quinta because it was close to Texas State where we went for a college day. But besides the convenience to the school, it would not be a hotel that we would stay at again. When we walked in the building was hot and we were informed that the elevator was broken. When we got to our room, we were missing a remote for the front television. The couch looked dirty and when we took the pillows off to make the bed. It looked even less clean. We also found that our shower was dirty. There was not a lot of shower soap. Especially for three people to use, there was a bug in our room. And one of the lights did not have a light bulb. We did get the staff to bring us another remote. But this is not a hotel we would stay at in the future.

OK...So I go to use this restroom hesitantly as I am a guy and don't want to intrude and am thankful to knock and open the door and it's a single person restroom. When I turn on the lights, I see that the bathroom is absolutely disgusting. I mean there was paper everywhere, the toilet was covered in feces, it stunk. You'd think that like most hotels, they'd keep those lobby restrooms pretty clean? Guess not here. It was nasty. So we return that night to check in and thank goodness there was a different person on duty at the desk. That guy was friendly. The parking is not plentiful so good luck finding a spot later in the evening. I was worried about the room but it ended up being a nice room that was clean. We had no problems with the room. The elevator did go out the following morning so it was a pain to get everything down 3 flights of stairs but we managed. Also, someone took a dump in the stairwell. It was pretty gross. Our room was presentable but about three hours in the entire room started shaking and it went on for about 5 minutes. Go downstairs to inquire WTF was happening and the front desk lady played dumb. I literally looked for an earthquake on the USGS website. Said she heard nothing and didn't know why. Just after that a guy on the second floor at the desk complaining his room was 60 degrees and the heat didn't work. I walked around the breakfast area in the evening. Everything covered in drywall dusk. Footprints where food would sit. Pool is abandoned. You find random room doors wide open and contents in various states of disrepair. Yes, it was a cheap ($100 with taxes) stay. My advice to anyone staying in Buda would be to check out the adjacent hotels instead. Walk just a little further if you going to Mavericks!

The juice came from a machine of very low quality, and everything was served on paper plates. On Monday, the situation worsened: no eggs were offered, the juice machine was shut down, and staff responded rudely when I inquired. At one point, the kitchen lights were even turned off while I was there, which made the experience very unpleasant. Given these issues, the value was extremely poor. The hotel charges close to $90 per night but provides a level of service and quality that would only justify $20-25. It was clear to me that customer satisfaction is not a priority here.

Upon arrival, our supervisors provided us with a day pass to the spa which included, access to the grounds, trail access, pickleball access, library access, breakfast, coffee/tea, an hour long massage and a boxed lunch. We started at the pickleball courts and we were the only ones out there. The staff provided us with pickleball equipment so don't worry if you don't have any! After a few rounds, we then went to the spa to get our massage. In the massage building there were four separate rooms and a bathroom. Everything was clean and smelled amazing. A male masseuse then guided me to our room and ensured I was comfortable and asked if I had any areas I wanted to focus on. The massage was INCREDIBLE! My peers had nothing but great things to say about their experience as well. One masseuse was even experienced in pre-natal massages. The boxed lunch meal was such a delicious treat. It came with a sandwich, cookie, drink, chips and a salad. After lunch, a few of us walked some trails and sat around the fire pit. I would recommend sage hill a hundred times! If you're looking for a weekend getaway, a date night, team bonding, or some quick personal self care, Sage Hill is it!

The table had clearly not been cleaned and I found hair on the bed and in the sheets. The room obviously smelled terrible too. I had to call them up to change the sheets and still found hairs in the new sheets they put on. The toilet didn't work so they had to come up and fix that too. The towels were nasty. I wound up wearing my flip flops in the shower because I didn't want to be barefoot. I would never stay here again or recommend anyone else stay here. Avoid it like the plague.

I message to ask about my dog and someone who works there begins to message me. They say that my card information was wrong and I will be put on a do not rent list? I have never stayed at this hotel and I told them this seemed extreme and that I was coming from out of state? I also ask why are they charging my card when I requested the option to pay at the hotel? They tell me that they are allowed to do so to validate the reservation? Then say I have been banned on all platforms and that people like me who play games should not be allowed to stay at their hotel? I don't know this person and this was one of the oddest interactions I have ever had with a hotel. This person needs to be fired immediately. Who talks to a customer in this manner over a hotel room? Just unprofessional and totally bizarre behavior. I was glad not to stay here and will never stay at another studio 6 again. Beware if you stay here..
