The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for exploring both Austin and San Antonio. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the complimentary breakfast was fresh and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the condition of the property leaves much to be desired. The carpeting throughout the hallways and guest rooms appeared worn, with areas that were torn, frayed, and discolored, which gave the hotel an unclean appearance. I have previously stayed at the San Marcos and Kyle locations, and while it is disappointing to say, this property was a better experience than the San Marcos location. If you choose to stay here, I would recommend doing so with modest expectations. read more

My hubby and I have recently stayed at this Comfort Suites hotel located in Kyle, TX on 12/31/2024 and on 02/14/2025 and just wanted to give my feedback about our experience. This hotel is conveniently located right off of IH-35 and next door to a shopping center that has a Target, Ross, and other stores and restaurants. Very quiet area. This hotel was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and great hot water pressure. A few helpful tidbits: -- don't stay in a room located on the 1st floor. You can hear footsteps of those in the room above you walking around especially in the morning when no tv is on. -- fyi, the air conditioner is motion detected so it'll turn off if no movement is detected. -- plenty of parking -- mini fridge and microwave in rooms To sum it up would recommend this hotel location. First of all my first night I noticed my comforter had many rips/ holes all throughout and some red stains and possibly some mold on it? There was still hair in my bathroom and the ac vents had so much dust in it like it had never been cleaned before. Also had to buy some febreeze due to the fact my room kept smelling like some sort of Italian food at all hours every time I came back into the room even at 1am so I do not think it was due to someone cooking the same thing all the time at least the staff gave me extra blankets once I told them about the torn up comforter. The breakfast is pretty mid imo they need more options. I get you probably get a lot of older travelers but the cereal was all plain boring tasteless cereal like plain cheerios and Raisin Bran the lady running the breakfast though is amazing/ hard working! read more

I spent a couple evenings at this Comfort Suites in Kyle, Texas to attend a car club meeting in the area. This facility appears to be a relatively new building, and most of the area looks like new development. This Comfort Suites is in a very convenient location, next to restaurants and shops. It is off the Interstate, but is situated far away enough that there is no significant traffic noise. The parking lot is ample for most passenger vehicles, but I can see large vehicles may have difficulties in it. Check in was quick, easy, and the staff were very professional. The lobby area is inviting, with a 24/7 coffee and tea service available. There is also a small sundries store next to the front desk, as well as laundry facilities. My room was located on the 3rd floor, which can be accessed with one of two efficiently-running elevators that give a pleasant chime. While I booked a single-king room, I was assigned a double-queen--I generally consider it to be inefficient when I am travelling alone to be in a room with two beds. Nevertheless, the suite was quite large, with a sofa, large bathroom area, clothes iron, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and quality HVAC. Furthermore, the WiFi is very reliable, but one must re-login every day. Due to COVID-19, there is no daily housekeeping service. However, there is a generous quantity of towels and toiletries in the room to minimize contact. There is no breakfast buffet but a selection of various items are available in the morning--I selected a breakfast sandwich on the first day, which is to be heated in the room microwave, and a Grab-n-Go bag the next, which consists of a packaged cream cheese Danish, Pop Tarts, peanut butter crackers, and a small bottle of water. Overall, my stay at this Comfort Suites is an excellent one, and I received a lot of value for the price paid. I would certainly consider coming back here in the future. read more

This was a great hotel when staying in town for our sons basketball tournament. Check in was smooth, the front desk clerk was sweet and accommodating. There were plenty of towels and toiletries as they do not have room service daily due to COVID. I was able to grab extra blankets downstairs with no hassle. We checked in Thursday afternoon. No hot water in sink or shower. They didn't care--said maintenance had already left. (It was 4:30 at that time). But that's not the worst. I picked up a bug between the sheets and flushed it down the toilet, not realizing it was an adult bedbug. We got home last night (one day later) and today I have welts in a line on my leg, positively identified as bed bug bites. read more

DO NOT STAY. As a BRIDE, they lost MY reservation. We had a wedding and nearly every guest who stayed here had a problem. MANY other guests had wrong reservations, and had to scamble to find other accomidations last minute. Some people had to call several times becuase their reservation kept being wrong, and still had issues once at the hotel. Many of the women felt unsafe and in one instance the attendant would LOUDLY state their room number while strange men stood around in the lobby. One guest had a NON HOTEL EMPLOYEE take their bags and escort them to their room. Yes, it was a random person, not a hotel employee who touched their bags and showed them to their room. When I booked my reservation, they told me they would give me a lovely suite, a nicer room than the rest. When I arrived, I was told every single room is the exact same. DON'T DO IT!!!! read more

This Hotel is very nice and the staff there like Diane that makes the meals in the morning is so pleasant and cheerful and the food is so delicious and very filling. The front desk staff is very welcoming but hands down Dadrein is a Godly man and inspirationally friendly and welcoming and his attitude is so positive. The management has to be really good to their staff for everyone to be so welcoming, friendly, caring. I would stay here just for the staff alone. The room was clean. Old building that requires a lot of renovations. The sink pressure is horrible. We could not wash our comfortably. The furniture needs a good cleaning; lots of stains. Very disappointed it was not cleaned when we received the keys. There is a lot of construction in the area & the workers are staying at this hotel. They drive big trucks which makes parking hard to find in the evening. The hotel does not do anything about regulating parking for other guests. "Breakfast" is a joke. It's boxed, so no hot breakfast despite the fact the Governor lifted the ordinance. Will not stay here again. read more

Lovely facility, staff could not be more accommodating and cordial, very nice breakfast provided. The only issue, discovered they make a photocopy of driver's licenses at check-in. They explained this was to combat fraud guests later claiming refund from credit card saying they did not stay there. Nevertheless, this is a huge invasion of privacy. We asked the manager to give those back and they did so, promptly and politely. read more

I have stayed there 4 days in 2021 on two separate trips. The positives are the king bed and pillow are comfortable and the king suite is spacious. If you want to stay in Kyle and keep your costs down, it certainly works. The negatives are it's a bare bones place, most everything feels cheap, and it feels like you are traveling on a low budget. It's not "nice", it's just functional and institutional. The breakfast is very limited and low-end, and the "coffee" is flavored brown water that comes out of a machine and is undrinkable. I would skip the breakfast and hit the McDonalds or Chik-Fil-A down the block (but those are drive-up only). Another reviewer commented this hotel seems to be housing for construction crews and the parking lot is full of work trucks. That was the case in Dec 2021, but it didn't really bother me. On my recent stay the room was dirty, the carpet had food bits and stains on it, the toilet bowl was not clean, and there was snot stuck to the bathroom wall. I was willing to put up with all that because it was too inconvenient to move (I went out and bought Clorox wipes). The last straw was, after getting settled in and looking to extend a day, the front desk said I would have to change rooms and pay $35 over their own internet price for the extra day. Instead, I moved to the Hilton Garden Inn 8 miles down I-35 in San Marcos. The HGI was less money and everything (polite and helpful reception, good breakfast, real coffee, big upscale lobby with nice seating) was much nicer than the Comfort Suites in Kyle. read more

Comfort Suites in Kyle is our favorite hotel when guests come to visit. For me, developing relationships and connections with area businesses are a priority. Thankfully, I have an awesome rapport with the employees at Comfort Suites and therefore trust has been established. My 90 year old father came for a visit in December and to say I was PARANOID about his safety is an understatement. I contacted guest services and Christian reassured me their team would go above and beyond to follow COVID protocol. Additionally, the House Keeping Manager Maria took it upon herself to disinfect the room from top to bottom. Her demonstration of compassion and empathy alleviated my fears. She took it upon herself to ensure the job was done properly because that is what she would want for her at risk family member. During these stressful times their demonstration of empathy and compassion was invaluable. Furthermore, the circumstances were such that Christian was able to keep the room vacant for two days after the cleaning to ensure my dad's safety. I am EXTREMELY grateful he was able to offer this extra layer of protection. During the reservation process and prior to my dad's arrival we exchanged approximately six phone calls. Christian facilitated communication and was extremely patient which further solidified my confidence. Nate has been there since they opened and he too played an integral role in assisting me during the night shift. I can't say enough good things about the quality of this hotel and more importantly the character of the staff. Thank you, Comfort Suites for choosing to be a part of my extended family!!! read more

OMG I love this place.. I rented a 2bed and it was beautiful and very clean.. better than any of the other hotels we stopped at on the way down from Michigan!!.. well worth every penny!! Easy access close to i-35. The hotel was clean and looked newish. I really liked the high ceilings in the rooms and the sitting area. These rooms come equipped with a mini fridge and small microwave. The bed itself was super comfy but the pillows were small and not that great. My room was on the end of the hall and I could hear a lot of noise. Not sure if it was upstairs or if it was because I was close to the stairs. I always travel with a white noise maker so for me it wasn't a problem but for someone that likes complete quiet, I could see how it may bother them. The visit here comes with free breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised with all the options. I could definitely see myself staying here again. read more

Great clean rooms, great staff but a few issues but nothing to detour you more of a FYI. Trash can was under the sink because it leaks not a big deal. The tv has a guide but you can't scroll because the remote doesn't have a up and down arrow. So you have to just go through channels and can't get to certain ones because no -..... tried to change input but can't they have the menu on tv locked and again remote doesn't do it.
