Came here for the first time. Conveniently located near a gas station, lots of eateries, and the entrance into the highway to wherever you need to go. We stayed in Room#309. Honestly, with the room being less than $90, I was expecting a typical trash and dirty room like most of the hotels that I've in, but my room was surprisingly clean and very nice. It had a full kitchen with a stove and full fridge. The doors to the bathroom were kind of weird though. It looked like a closet door with a secret room. Our king sized bed was really comfortable. The outlets and lights works and there were no stains for once. There's a little round table with seats. Overall, pretty spacious for a room that wasn't expensive. It was perfect for one night. The staff are very friendly. Large parking lot and the lobby is nice. I don't think there's free breakfast or anything like that. There is a pool, but ain't nobody trying to swim in 40 degree weather. read more

I booked a room at this hotel because I was traveling from MO. I had to change the dates because I was having issues with my moving truck and didn't have a definite ETA.. I tried to cancel the previous reservations and it seemed they went thru fine. I reserved again and I am almost in Tx. I reserve the room with the pay later option just in case I'm later than planned making it to TX.. The hotel almost immediately tried to take the amount of the room. I keep my card locked... For just this reason so it wasn't a big deal.. I didn't reach out about the charge because I'm thinking no big deal it's probably automated. I message to ask about my dog and someone who works there begins to message me. They say that my card information was wrong and I will be put on a do not rent list? I have never stayed at this hotel and I told them this seemed extreme and that I was coming from out of state? I also ask why are they charging my card when I requested the option to pay at the hotel? They tell me that they are allowed to do so to validate the reservation? Then say I have been banned on all platforms and that people like me who play games should not be allowed to stay at their hotel? I don't know this person and this was one of the oddest interactions I have ever had with a hotel. This person needs to be fired immediately. Who talks to a customer in this manner over a hotel room? Reserved a room through the My6 app, which made it very easy to check-in on arrival (just needed to supply my ID and credit card). The clerk was very friendly and waved at us each time we walked through the lobby. We used one of the handy push carts to get all our valuables up to our room. It was really nice inside our unit-- "cheap fancy," I'd call it because the cabinets were made of particle board but finished to look like dark wood, with stainless faucets, and a faux-wood laminate floor, faux-leather barstool, etc. It had nice ambiance and a lot of appliances/features for a $60/night room! Small (not mini) fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher, sink with a disposal, coffee maker, even a toaster! Additionally, certain essentials were provided, such as glasses, pots and pans, utensils, and more. Clearly the place was optimized for long-term occupants, so it's cool we were permitted to reserve for just a single night (other places I've been have required a minimum week+ for such accommodations). It was so nice I wished I were staying longer! We were on the third floor and I parked my car where I could see it from above. They have some fun, colorful mood lighting in the parking lot at night, haha. Bed was a King-sized and wonderfully comfortable. There were a couple random defects with our room (the toilet paper hanger in the bathroom and the coat rack in the closet were busted), but pretty easily overlooked all in all. Orlando was extremely accommodating! I told him my employees were staying at the hotel for the weekend he immediately sent me a credit card authorization form. So I took my daughters down to San Marcos for the weekend & realized it was also during Sxsw hotels here are not only all sold out they're all trying to charge the maximum...Places we would normally stay were all either sold out or charging double or triple finally called this hotel Orlando at front desk was professional and saved us a room - Now about the room no towels not cleaned well especially the bathroom lots of noise upstairs we all still slept almost entire time from the drive - So in summary good location between San Marcos and Austin reasonably priced during Sxsw not really clean or quiet enough though.. read more

They are definitely in need of some cleaning staff. I don't typically use hotel sheets and blankets and I'm most especially glad I had my own this time. The restroom also needed attention. The showers have very weak water pressure, not the best if you have any hair on your head at all. I believe it has real potential, they may need more staff or better motivated staff for cleaning. Not too bad, pretty clean. Our room had a microwave, a full sized fridge, and a two burner stove top. There were plates, bowls, cups and utensils. I didn't see pots or pans but my husband said maybe you can check them out downstairs. The air worked pretty well. There were two vending machines on the 1st floor and a small laundry facility. I would give them a ZERO if I could... this was the WORST experience... first me and my 6 yrs old check in to a dirty USED room. Housekeeping must have just made up a already slept in bed. Before we unpack I pull back the covers and... a bandaid falls out the sheets. there were crumps in the wrinkled sheets. The top of the sheets were YELLOW. The sink looked like someone throws up in it. There was no soap or conditioner. No extra toilet paper and dirty looking face towels...we go down and ask for a new room..(I'm packing 2 big suitcases, to pack packs, my HEAVY purse and a fish in a pickle jar, wearing a heavy winter coat) the front desk clerk gives me a new room. We go BACK up the elevator annnnd.. get STUCK on the elevator for about 10 mins. (I have anxiety and panic attacks) my daughter and I were both freaking out. I was HOT and nervous. We FINALLY get out and go to another dirty room (which some man had JUST been in wiped down the counters and left the bleach cleaner) that hadn't been swept or mopped. Sticky "something" on the toilet, and a Dirty shower. But the bed was clean and had NOT been slept in. So I was Exhausted and said lets just lay down..I'll clean the toilet and restroom. And just don't walk on the floor unless you have on your shoes. But my 6 year old daughter was like "I" can't stay here.im sorry Mommy, but I'm going to have to leave you. Please take me to my Grandparents house. I'm not staying were I can't use the restroom and can't even walk on the floor with my socks on..... So we go back down the "STAIRS" this time. And say we can't stay there.. the clerk calls the manager again. Which is YELLING in his ear. He walks out. I break Dow crying. I'm TIRED, having HIGH anxiety and just want to lay down. The man comes back and starts yelling at me about how he does NOT have to give me my money back. I told him to watch his tone with me. We both explained that we were frustrated. Then my daughter told him sir please don't talk to my mommy like that. You need to respect that she is tired and is nervous. He took a step back after that, calmed down and apologized to my daughter and to me.... long story longer. I call the next day to speak to the manager (Robert)about making sure I got my money back.. "Someone" picked up the phone 3xs and would never say anything. I call back the 4th time I'm like HELLO I can clearly see you are on the phone.. he says hello(RUDE) how can I help. I ask who am I speaking with? He says Robbie () I say are you the manager? He said no. The manager will back on the weekend. Can I help you? I said maybe you can maybe you can't. I TRY to tell him I had to leave due to dirty rooms and I just need to know about my money.. this man stays SCREAMING at me. I am the owner ( thought you said earlier the manager wasn't in, but u didn't say u THE OWNER) I have dealt with you alll night. And you will get your money back when you get it back, be happy I'm giving it back. This is a 2star hotel and if you want better go get a 5 star (which I had to do) go to Austin, do something, but never come back here again. I am not dealing with you anymore, and hung up in my face.... all I will say is God sits high, and looks low. God gone get you Robert, Robbie,manager, Owner, whoever you are. And OWNER should NEVER talk to a costumer like that. Just apologize for your BAD housekeeping and YOUR poor customer services and move on. It was just ok.... Overall comfortable room but this room needs maintenance missing door handles, paint that needs to be touched up and cleaner towels (we ended up buying new towels from JCPenney as I didn't trust the cleanliness). We sprayed Lysol on every surface for our own protection. I wanted to try this out since new but don't believe l'll be back. Walls are super thin so wouldn't advise staying on bottom floor. read more

Really don't post ratings but this place and a guy named Robby the manager is a place people should consider last when staying. Robby upon checking in took an hour to check in. He had to run an errand said he would be right back. After waiting in the lobby for more than a hour he returned. No apologies! Should of known it would go down from there. After checking in went to room, key didn't work. Went for a new key. After walking in and seeing 2 cockroaches on our bed we notified Robby. He basically called us liars. We asked for our money back and he said no. As we where walking out another couple was leaving and over heard us talking about cockroaches to Robby. the other couple said they had rat droppings in there room. Stay away from hotel and Robby who doesn't have a social skill to help people. Good luck if you stay seen all the bad reviews on him and hotel and they are justified!! read more

I will give it 2 stars only because most of the staff were nice but the vents in the air conditioner were disgusting and made the room smell the bathroom smelled of mold I called on the Friday and Monday before making my reservation for Wednesday to ask about their pool and I was assured it was great well when we got there it was green and the manager said to me "it's an amenitie and is not guaranteed I was very upset because I was staying for 8 days and would have went somewhere else with a pool considering it's Texas and it was hot! They never had towels and no one knew where the toilet paper was. My grown son was told to go inside the hotel after 10 because "they" have a curfew! After talking to many other visitors their experience was the same. Overall I would NEVER go there again and feel like I am owed something for dealing with it. read more

Paid for a stay for my sister during the 'winter freeze' and she had to check out early because the whole building had NO WATER. They refused to give a receipt and said not to worry that we'd receive a refund. 2 months later I have had NO refund. They had no problem refunding part of the pet fee proving she did not stay the whole time. Made a credit card dispute and it was declined because studio 6 NEVER checked her out hence the no receipt issue. They knew exactly what they were doing! Shady, I have made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and still have not heard back from them. On a different note be sure to bring some pest control spray with you because once the lights are off the roaches come out and crawl all over the counters. read more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL!!! DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR Upon Walking into the motel everything seemed fine and up to date by the general appearance but, when looking further into detail.. The toilet was DISGUSTING, there were left over hair and SHIT from the previous person in the motel, there was OLD MOLDY BREAD in the cabinet with liquid surrounding it, and WORST OF ALL THERE WAS A PILLOW IN THE CLOSET WITH DOG FOOTPRINTS AND SHIT ALL OVER IT. When we first discovered the toilet we didn't think it was a big deal and kindly asked maintenance to take care of it, which was fine. Then we discovered more items that should not be left behind in a clean motel! We ended up going to the manager of the motel and he WOULD NOT COMPENSATE OUR EXPERIENCE IN ANY WAY!! No free night, no discount for our troubles! Only offered to put us in another room which wasn't acceptable considering what we just experienced so upon asking for a refund we received our refund and ended up NOT having a place to stay for the night because of the POOR MANAGEMENT AND "HOTEL" experience. TERRIBLE! They confirmed our reservation then said we didn't have one, TWICE! Then at check in they say they didn't have a reservation, then they did, then they didn't. Took 20 minutes for them to finally figure it out. My daughter left a bag in the room, she had makeup, contacts, meds etc in the bag and used it right before we checked out. Our bags went straight from the room to the car and none removed until we got home so we're 100% sure it was left in the room. We called when we got home and they said it wasn't turned in. My wife spoke to the owner the next day and he said "We're not responsible for your belongings" and when told about check in "If you didn't like it, you should've went somewhere else" and finally "Call corporate, they won't do anything anyway". I would give this studio 6 a better rating, but the fact that the manager (10/20/19 @ 10:00 am I didn't catch his name)didn't care about our concern about someone being able to open our room door is pretty shitty. We were woken up at 3:30 am with some one opening our room door, thank god we had the safety latch there if not whoever it was would of been able to get in. I have been here 1-2 times a month since April and I love this place so much I obviously keep coming back. When ever I need something Cynthia and Diane are willing a ready to help me. Even give me a Mt Dew from their personal stash cuz Diane heard me say I wanted one. I require special needs and they are always accommodating. I've met housekeeping staff, the manager and his wife they all are very nice! He always thanks me for my continued business! I train customer service and am very picky about how I'm treated as a customer, so I love how welcome they always make me feel! I would absolutely recommend this hotel!!! read more

Not Child Friendly!!! Especially if you have more than one child! They will complain about hearing your child walk around your room and tell you to control your child, and the manager can tell you, not ask, tell you to leave at his leisure! Horrible management! One employee with customer service and the other one as awful as the manager! You will not find disability parking because they allow cars without permits park in the disability parking spaces. This place is horrible. I had no sugar for my complementary coffee and they sent me to the corner store to get some. Also the microwave in the room had mold in it and i am not exaggerating. Also it reined one of the nights we stayed there and we noticed water coming in through the ac unit. We called the front desk to notify them and they said to grab a towel and dry the floors with it and then leave the towel around the ac unit. We stayed for 3 nights and there was no housekeeping a single time we were there. We did ask for more towels but no one came to get the dirty ones, so we had a big pile of wet towels in the floor. We started staying here a month ago. From check in we were greeted by Cynthia who was extremely professional, and made you feel like family. She even remembers our fur baby's name. She always asks how we are doing when we come in or going out. The room was very clean with all the conveniences of home in the kitchen area. Utensils, pots and pans, microwave, coffee maker, complimentary coffee, and dorm size fridge and freezer. Housekeepers are also very friendly when they pass you in the hall, and always offer to help when they see you carrying groceries. The owner "Mike" has really gone out of his way to make you feel valued as a guest. We had extended our stay a couple of times just because of the genuine concern from management to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. While we are waiting on a closing date on our new home we have not been disappointed in any way with Studio 6 in Buda. We will miss the staff when we leave especially Cynthia who has a memory like an elephant when it comes to remembering you by name, and your fur baby as well. I don't know how she can keep everyone's names straight especially when the hotel gets full. But she is amazing. I have been in customer service my entire professional career and if it's the one thing that separates a business from the competition it is the customer service. This location of Studio 6 in Buda exceeds expectations in customer service. This is the main reason we come back. Shout out to Cynthia, Erick, and Mike for going above and beyond to make us feel like family. We will miss you, and again thank you for giving us a safe, clean, place to lay our heads knowing you are there if we need anything.
