Whereas another hotel technically labeled 5-star that we used for our wedding block caused us a ton of heartbreak (gave away our bridal suite bc the recently widowed mother of the bride decided to stay with her sister upon arrival, instead of alone, did not check in), ARRIVE was our rock. Our main fear upon booking here was the noise from the busy nightlife on the street nearby would bother our guests. We were able to work with the hotel to get our guests placed on the edge of the building furthest from the street, and the noise was not a problem as far as we could hear (and no guests complained). On top, we had planned to do our afterparty at Lefty's, their bar downstairs, with karaoke set up, but there ended up being a ton of rain. ARRIVE set us up with a conference room, made sure we got enough alcohol to last past the time their bar would have closed, and checked on us multiple times. It was seamless and so much fun. I was worried a conference room would be awkward, but because ARRIVE was able to keep the vibes up and the room was so full, you couldn't even tell that's where we were. Josh Quijano coordinated the block and was so attentive the weekend-of, and D'Andre Griffin made sure our afterparty was handled gracefully in the rain and remained a bumping party!!!! D'Andre asked me (the bride) if we had everything we needed and even asked what I was drinking and brought a pitcher of G&T totally unprompted. Many thanks to both of them!!!

No plumbing noises at all, some footsteps seemingly from above which is confusing because we were on the top floor. Easy to use thermostat, yes. AC is quiet. Hot shower, well not quite. The water needs to be upped a few degrees. Parking, yes there is ample covered parking but it is run by a separate company and it is going to cost you. Cleanliness, very clean. Bonus: Staff replenishes water bottles daily. The pool temp is very good and pool is open til 10 pm.

The room had a comfortable mattress, a strange bathroom setup that was missing a ceiling in the bathroom, so the shower opened up to the bedroom. Eh, it worked. The place felt safe and secure. There are locking gates to get into the premises, but the one by the pool was broken. The lobby doubled as a weird Austin t-shirt shop. Meowdy! The staff was nice. The maids came and cleaned every day. The place was kept up and nice. I'd love to return!

Housekeeping never came for the entire week I was here. Not a big deal but annoying to have to wait for towels (25+ mins) after a long work day I went down the hall to my coworkers room and was walking back to mine and was stopped by a security guard who interrogated me as if I was lying about staying in the hotel room. His tone was condescending and the accusations were immediate, something I do not appreciate. Cambria is listed on its parent hotel's website as the "luxury" tier. There was feces in the toilet when I checked in, dirt and hair in the shower, and dust all over the room. How luxurious! Parking at every other hotel on this street is self park, @$45 a night. Here its valet only at $75 a night. Don't let the website (says that other options around are more expensive) trick you. You can park next door in a nicer hotel for much cheaper. I went to the bar night one to grab a glass of wine and a burger, the bartender forgot to give me wine after I ordered it, disappeared, then sat in the chair 3 seats down from me scrolling on her phone until I asked "sorry can I get the wine I ordered?" Rip the Cambria logo off and don't be fooled, this is a struggling Hampton Inn at best.

We stay here any chance we get when we travel to Austin. It's walking distance to some great restaurants and bars. There are food trucks across the street and it's just a great place. The rooms are comfortable and the decorations very elegant. There are 15 rooms and we've stayed in several. There are three floors and a rooftop. Each floor had a bougie coffee machine, along with sparkling water for guests. Vickie is a great host and we love visiting with her every time we stay. You must stay here but don't get carried away; we still need to get our reservations!

As of this writing, they're in the midst of a fairly lengthy and comprehensive remodeling project, so expect some dust, but don't worry, Louie is taking it well and views the construction workers with the typical indifference that's on-brand for cats. One upgrade that's already complete is the installation of Juro automatic coffee machines on each floor. These machines are quite expensive and produce very nice drinks mere steps from the door of your room. For dining, though, check out nearby Paperboy (prepare for a wait during busy hours). The hotel will soon open its new restaurant, and we can't wait to try it out. The rooms are definitely unique, with each one featuring something a little different. The beds are all comfortable, and remodeled bathrooms are spacious and, wait for it, modern, with ample shower space and lovely large, enveloping tubs (availability may vary from room to room, check before booking). Numerous places to eat, drink, and be merry are within crazy short walking distance, and in fact, if the famous Franklin Barbecue is on your list, this is a great place to stay and get up early to walk over and get in line. Definitely try this place if you want to have a great experience and keep some of the old "Weird Austin" spirit alive; it's dwindling, but still there.

Super easy to access, the block it is on (main entrance) has pretty much no traffic, though the block below is quite busy at night. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly on all interactions, granting me a later checkout and holding my bags since I had a light flight out at the end of my stay. My room was excellent. Very spacious. Excellent little kitchenette, stocked with the basics. While I didn't cook anything, I did reheat some food in the microwave and use the plates and flatware provided, as well as some drinkware. All was clean ready for use. The bar area doubles as your workspace, and thankfully, even though it was a high-chair, it was very comfortable to work in. The beds were super comfy. I slept like a rock. I was 7 floors up and not disturbed by any noise from nearby venues and clubs as others complained of in their reviews. I would stay here again.

They were so incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout the entire experience. Since we were hosting an event at the hotel, we had a few special requests for our attendees, and the team went above and beyond to help make everything smooth. One detail that really impressed me was that the staff helped hand out check-in gifts to our guests when they arrived, which made the experience feel extra thoughtful and organized. Small touches like that make a huge difference when you're coordinating an event. Parking is paid valet, which is pretty typical for downtown Austin, and it was easy and convenient to use. We had a clean and tidy suite on the first level. Two double beds were comfy and plenty of towels. Our first night's stay was decent. Surprised to know they seem to use softened water because it made our skin feel slippery. I noticed the shower gel holder was falling out of the wall. A precarious situation of having to carefully pull the mechanism to dispense without pulling too hard. I did notify the night staff but the next day, it didn't seem like anyone came to fix it. No extra body wash or soap was provided even when I asked for some. The wall sockets with the en-suite appliances was not usable. The electrical outlets weren't working so we couldn't toast anything, use the kettle, or the coffee machine. Couldn't find one with a GFCI breaker to reset that side so gave up. Interestingly, the full-sized fridge and microwave were working ok though. The rod for one of the window curtains fell off while opening them. Because it's floor to ceiling we just left it alone. The common spaces around the property are well decorated, from the Library, Executive board room, kids corner, gym/yoga studio, and outdoor lounge space. Although, the snack/tea/coffee station with Keurig isn't filled maintained often. We had to ask the night staff to refill the water for tea and the lobby water dispenser was constantly low as well. On our second to last day, I found the hot water and still water station downstairs at Simona's. Pros: Clean, comfy, affordable stay. Enjoyed the bottomless drip coffee $5 and their signature Breakfast at Tiffany's latte. Also appreciated them letting us do late checkout and upgrade our room. Cons: Complimentary water station, Keurig / snack station, overall maintenance of room amenities could be handled better. Warning: If booking from 3rd party (BILT, Capital One Portal...) the added parking is not the same price that's on Colton's House's website. It's actually $40/day (with in/out privileges). However if booking directly through Colton House for stays, parking is 50% off at $20. Would we stay here again in the future? Most likely not. For an SLH property, we may look for another better-maintained option in the future.

A huge flaw is you need a key to get everywhere. You cannot go park and get to the lobby. You have to use a key to get from your room floor to the lobby. That's just weird.

I see the logic in doing so if you're sharing a room, though, but it made for some awkward hand maneuvering out of the pocket door area. As for noise, I didn't have any issues sleeping, but in the early morning, you will hear trucks (likely merchandise for the Music Lane shops or trash collection). There was one night that I came back from dinner, and the courtyard had a wedding party, which you could hear from the 4th floor. Maybe consider a white noise app if you're a light sleeper. The staff at this hotel is so incredibly nice and accommodating. It's the main reason I rated the hotel 4 out of 5 stars. If you know Spanish, it may come in handy. I think the misses are minor. Not all rooms come with an iron, which I get if you have 50+ rooms; that is a lot of irons people might not be using. It's not a big deal to have the front desk send one up, but it is just a basic Conair. I would've liked to have a gym on-site, too. On my second-to-last night, I called an Uber to get me to a work dinner. For some reason, it had the driver cut through the parking garage, so the guy gave up and parked outside of Lululemon. Keep an eye out on the map and let the driver know it's best to take the light instead. Bonus: Equipment Room is the basement record listening bar, but be sure to make a reso.

I was upgraded prior to arrival based on my status as I basically live in Marriotts. Room is bright, quirky and modern - designed to be very minimalist with hangers and pegs on the wall instead of a closet and two small closets - one with a toilet and one with a very compact shower that reminds me why I would never want to vacation on a cruise ship! There is no bathroom just separate compartments for each with a sink in the hallway! You can pull a large shower type curtain across that part of the room for privacy. Room was quiet and very dark which I love! In keeping with the minimalist theme - there is no fridge or coffee machine in the room! You can however get free coffee downstairs and there is a grab and go fridge with snacks and drinks in the lobby. There is also a taco place in the lobby that I previously reviewed and won't return to! All was great except in the 8am hour the cleaners arrived and had loud conversations in the hallway- of course on the one day I did not have a super early start - then knocked for room service twice before I left - at 8:50am!!! I mentioned it to the front desk and the lady that was there apologized but a young guy told me that it could not have been the cleaners as they had been in a meeting and he disagreed with my discussion until two other ladies also from my floor told him the cleaners were definitely there!!
