First, the conditioner in the bathroom seemed spoiled -- it looked like decomposed milk, so we could not use it. Second, breakfast was not included, and when I asked the night before about the breakfast hours, we were told it was served until 11:00 AM. The next morning, however, we were told the schedule had changed, even though the paper with the hotel information had not been updated. At 10:50 AM, they told us that if we wanted, we could pay for lunch instead. Honestly, I thought it was a joke.

No. is that in the room next to me? That's right you got it, I am sleeping in a dog friendly hotel. Good news is Rover can stay the night, but if you plan on sleeping in, maybe even just a wink, don't plan on it. You may be staying in a room next to Cujo and his brother. Omg no way. Ok, so I call downstairs to mention the dog barking. But. It continues. I decide to just get out. I mean, check out. So I spoke to the manager who is pleasant, but I'm in such a bad mood I Didn't even want to get breakfast. Definitely first world problem, but I strongly suggested that if a hotel guest is going to be placed to room next to a guest with dog said guest should be forewarned, at least. There was not even a sign that this dog friendly hotel. No dog treats in the lobby no nothing. Just the sound of two rabid sounding dogs. The Hyatt grounds are nice. It is in Baytown after all. If you your best friend is barking for Pete's sake , take them on a walk. They have pent up energy, unlike their owners do, for allowing them to bark as if their lives depended on it. Unacceptable 1/5. stars do not recommend unless you have behaved dogs.

I checked in at 7pm and let them know I would be back later, and if anything needed to be cleaned in the room, they could do it before o come back for the night. I came back around 9:30 pm, and no lights were on outside. It was very dark and didn't feel safe. When I came in, I asked why there were no lights outside, and they said they had to turn them on. In my opinion, that should be an automated turn-on at night time so people can feel safe arriving. I made it to the elevator and saw a sign that stated, "Food is restricted from the room". I went back to the front desk and asked why food is restricted. After she gave the answer I asked since I'm by myself can I have food in my room, she said yes. Then I get to the room and about 5 minutes later, two work guys come knock on the door I answered and they said the need to replace the TV and it would take about 10 minutes. That should have been done before I even checked in. 45 minutes later it still wasn't replaced. Then they said they would do it tomorrow. They left out and I went to the bathroom and saw the mold on the ceiling and saw mold on the wall behind a mirror. I took my luggage down to the front desk to check out. The staff guy that was there apologized and said we can go look at 3 other rooms to see if I can stay. We got in the elevator, and it smelled like marijuana. We finally found a better room. The issue in that room was a blinking light bulb and hair, dirty and leaking water in the bathroom. There was trash all over the parking lot. I will NEVER stay in a franchised Holiday Inn like this again.

There seems to be a good bit of blue collar workers that stay her, oil and refinery workers. They were nice and cordial and quiet. Staff was friendly. Accommodating. The breakfast each morning has a smattering of cold and hot offerings. Hot proteins are eggs and sausages, was hoping for bacon, if they have that it wasn't on this weekend. It's off the beaten path, tho it's a safer area, a bit to travel to, but worth saving the extra cash. One downfall that I saw, is handicap parking, there is only two spots at the main entrance. That is disappointing.

I arrived for work travel and upon landing was notified of a family member's death. After hours of waiting for my digital key, I was told by Adryan at the front desk that I needed to show my government law enforcement credentials and "orders" in person before he was going to activate my digital key. Despite showing my badge and credentials and explaining that "orders," are not issued to government LEOs like they are in the military. At no point did he tell me that he was changing my rate and at no point did he ever get my authorization to charge more than what I booked. Nonetheless he did just that. He charged my card without my knowledge, consent or authorization. Even more concerning was the fact that I advised Adryan (supposed manager) that the hotel's side entrance does not lock, and he was not at all concerned about the safety ramifications. He stated that it's been like that for a while because they are waiting on parts to be delivered. For 3 days no one fixed it and I imagine it's still has not been fixed. I have traveled for business for 34 years and have never encountered anyone that lacked this level of integrity, knowledge, concern or common sense.

Is wasn't hard to choose this hotel as it had great reviews and I got an exceptional deal. This is really stunning property, its bright and modern and well staffed with great people and very good amenities. Not only did I get a great room, but the hotel also has a really nice pool, and the gym was perfect for a workout. The rooms seem to be narrow but roomy. My furniture was clean and the carpets, the tiles and the rug were spotless. Like all Home2 Suites, there is a kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, a large and powerful microwave, a dishwasher, sink and cabinets with cutlery, dishes, glasses and cleaning supplies. The bathroom was large and clean with rolling doors. The fan cleaned out the steam fairly quickly. I got a great workout in the gym and was pleasantly surprised that the gym had kettlebells. That alone was worth the price of admission. In the morning the breakfast has a multitude of methods to prepare your meals. You have a combination of fresh foods and many items that you can mix together and throw in the microwave. Fresh fruit, yogurts and non-dairy drinks can be found at the breakfast. Manager then told me he changed my room from a double to a king, even though that's what I paid for already. My choice. Was told the pool was under maintenance. The pool had green slime all over the sides, try taking care of it. Got to my room, phone cord wasn't attached to the handset. Top safety latch was broken. Went downstairs to request a new room. Was told by manager to just use the bolt, which was also loose and flimsy. Was told the phone was just used to call the front desk anyway, not to make local calls. Seriously? Was shown two other room where the manager picked up the phone and said "see it works" told him if the other was connected I'm sure it'd work too. Slimy water on the sidewalks. Ended up being partly sewage when a little girl slipped in and it was all over her bottom. Dresser drawers bottom two drawers: one wouldn't open. Glued shut. The other wasn't even connected, just placed in front. Wasn't even a drawer in there, just space. Light bulbs were all different, bright white and dull yellow. Air conditioner had a dirty smell too it. Severe headache when in room, cleared up once I walked outside in the 80% humidity. Run far far away from this cesspool.

Good large breakfast area, fresh coffee at 5am, breakfast at 6 ish I think- and a great tall table in the middle of the eating areas with lots of seats and outlets to plug in for meetings or working outside the room. Staff was friendly and had good advise for local stuff, and they have a pantry to get drinks and snacks which is always a plus. Easy access back down to 45- then to Clear Lake ( where I like to eat most of the time) and quick to Hobby Airport as well. All seemed to work great, business office was great to get my boarding pass and again, clean , new, right up my alley and what I expect from Hilton. Highly recommend.

For a year or so they've been undergoing renovations so you'd think some of the previous poor experiences were the result of that but this stay solidifies that's not the problem. When I walked in tonight, I'm immediately hit with the smell of mildew. Mind you- the hotel was recently renovated. How would that happen? Well spending more time in the room explains it- lack of attention to the basic details. The shower curtain doesn't come all the way down into the tub so water ends up all over the floor. Safety hazard and water issue. The bathroom doesn't have a fan you can run during shower steam- and it's not that it's just quiet- the mirror fogs and a tissue held to the vent shows no movement. Hence the mold and mildew. Also for the high price, you'd think they wouldn't just have a basic shower head but instead a handheld to make that a nicer shower experience. Heck the Fairfield in across the street goes for hundreds less a week and has tiles coming up in the bathroom and they STILL have better quality and service. (They're sold out for obvious reasons.) I'm lying in bed staring at the ceiling where they left out the ring around the fire sprinkler. It's dirty like someone's been reaching up in there and why bother finishing the job, right? My iPad is dead so I turned on the tv to wind down before bed. The guide comes up and I select a rerun on channel 40. Nope. Not available. Next channel- not available. In fact only about 5 channels are available. All news so I fess that's what we're doing. The positives are the ac seams to work, the shower had hot water so far.

Such a beautifully decorated home with every touch carefully planned and thought out. It's super clean everywhere! Beautifully landscaped outside of house over looking the water. We caught the end of summer fireworks our first night. We had a perfect view right from the porch. After catching dinner down the road it was a perfect way to end our evening. We stayed in bay breeze room. The bed was the most comfortable bed. Very relaxing and comfortable room. It has a beautiful bathroom with a chandelier. And a jacuzzi tub that comfortably fits two. Equipped with ample amount of towels. It has everything. The facility as a whole was just amazing. The porch with seating and even a floating bed. The outdoor seating area and fire pit was so nicely set up. We even enjoyed the pool which was very nice and private. Very clean as well. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the sun porch, but it looked very comfortable. It has snacks, water, coffee and tea. And even an ice machine which we loved! The hosts are amazing. I even booked my visit last minute Ava they were able to accommodate everything. Very personable and kind people. They really know what they are doing when it comes to running a bnb. Breakfast was out of this world. With coffee, fresh juice. More than I expected. The first day was an amazing hash brown crusted casserole. Day two was an amazing blueberry French toast bake. The facility is on the water. It is near restaurants and anything else you could need. Both nights we enjoyed Tookie's seafood. The coconut shrimp was great! We stopped at Rose's seafood to bring fresh shrimp home! Also a great experience. We'd love to come back again. My wife and I left refreshed and rested. Which is exactly what we were looking for! It was built in the early 1900s and moved from its original location to its current one where it is now a B&B. Despite its age, the home has been updated fabulously. It still has the feel of a historic home but with modern (and high quality) features. It was beautiful and incredibly well maintained. The owners clearly take pride in taking care of their home and their attention to detail was apparent throughout our stay. Whether sitting outdoors by the water, lounging on the swinging patio bed or hanging out in the spacious and tastefully decorated room, there were plenty of places to relax and enjoy the property's beauty. The breakfasts were beyond delicious and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even prepared us a delicious treat to celebrate our anniversary!! We prefer B&Bs to hotels and this was definitely the best of all we have ever visited. There are plenty quality restaurants extremely close by and it's a few minutes drive from the Kemah Boardwalk. We will most assuredly return!!

And, these hotels are usually pretty quiet. * Free perks: As an elite member of this hotel chain, most of the time I get free perks during every stay. These are usually simple (like free bottled water), but they're appreciated. * A good membership program: Marriott offers a very good membership program for their elite members. It gives me the ability to earn free stays for the future (for pleasure) by choosing to stay here for business. Within the Marriott chain of hotels, SpringHill Suites is one of my favorites because the rooms most often have: * A comfortable living and work space * A good sized TV * A mini refrigerator * A microwave * A well supplied free continental breakfast * All-day free coffee available in the lobby Now, on to the details for my stay at this particular hotel, at the SpringHill Suites, by Marriott (in Webster, Texas). The primary reason I came here was for a week-long business trip. Most of my expectations for this hotel (noted above) were met, but this place had several disappointments. These included: * This hotel gave away all rooms with a king-sized bed, even though I reserved one in advance. * There was no "Do not Disturb" sign for my room, so I was interrupted when I did not want to be. * On my floor, the 6th floor, the entire hallway smelled moldy, and they had fans blowing continuously to try to mitigate the terrible smell. The hotel management should not have even given any customers a room on this floor, but they did. * The A/C system in my room was terribly loud, so much so that I could not keep it running at night because it kept me awake. This was terrible, especially since it was the summertime. * Also with the A/C system, this could be an indicator that the A/C system in my room was going out because it was also unable to keep up with the summertime demand during the day. After returning at the end of my workday, every day, it was always uncomfortably warm in my room, even when the A/C system was programmed to maintain a comfortable temperature. * My magnetic room key stopped working on two separate days, locking me out of my room each time. This was incredibly annoying because after realizing this, I had to go down to get my key remade each time, only then regaining access to my room. * My room was not serviced by room service on three of the five days I was here. * The ice machine did not work on my floor, the 6th floor, the entire time I was here. So, I had to go to another floor every time I wanted ice. * The deadbolt lock to my hotel room door was unable to lock for the entire time I was here because the lock in the door was misaligned with the door frame. This was disturbing, especially from a safety/security perspective. * Upon checkout, I asked the hotel to change the credit card I used during my stay. The young lady I asked said that she did this, but I could see that she did not actually do this after returning from my trip. I then had to call the hotel to get this credit card changed. Unfortunately, most of the hotel staff does not even pick up the phone. I ended up calling over fifteen times over three days, where I either got a random voicemail message or I got hung up on. This is terrible customer service. Overall, I liked this hotel, but there were just too many things that were annoying to even give this location an average rating. Therefore, I have to rate this location as a "below average" experience. To me, having so many problems that a customer can experience just shows negligence on the management's part, which made me tempted to rate this as a 1-star experience. But again, you can see that this hotel was nice (from my pictures), so I'll rate this as two stars. This hotel clearly has the potential to be a 5-star worthy location, but the management just needs to make more of an effort for their customers.

I explained it was our 25th wedding anniversary and if they had any rooms that were better than the others could they please place us in the best they have. That is exactly what she did! She upgraded us to a room that had a Jacuzzi in the room! I didn't even know they had these! Sarah is one of the most hospitable and sweetest people you will ever meet. She treated us like family. I won't go anywhere else. I love this hotel. The manager David is awesome also. He's very friendly and of course he's the one that okayed us to have the room with the jacuzzi in it. We were so happy and we had the most wonderful time there. Not only are they the friendliest staff, it's a very clean hotel and they serve a great hot complimentary breakfast too. To top it off they are the most reasonably priced hotel in Seabrook! You've got to try it. You'll love it! Thank you to all of you who helped make our stay so special! Y'all are simply the best!
