Got to this hotel after eating braums. It was difficult to cross the highway. The bed was a hotel bed. Room was similar to other comfort suites but the tv was smaller. Didn't see a notepad. Coffee machines seemed to not work correctly. Had to keep pressing the coffee machine down to fill up my cup. Had a mix of regular decaf and bold. Breakfast I had sausage cheese danish and strawberry yogurt all for free. Railings in room were wide enough to sit on. Overall decent hotel. Also had free lemon water upon arrival.

We reserved this hotel because we had my husband , daughter and 2 sons so a room with 2 queens and sofa sleeper was just the right size... we pulled into town at 1145 pm with 3 sleepy children in tow .. I pull out the sofa sleeper for my daughter the sofa sleeper had no bedding. The front desk clerk has no bedding for it. We requested any bedding and she said we have no bedding and I cannot get into housekeeping... so basically the sofa sleeper is unless unless you bring your own bedding

WOW!!! Has this place gone down hill!!! We have stayed here 3 different occasions in 3 years and this last time will be our last stay at this comfort inn. Mold in the bathroom showers, wallpaper peeling and as for the morning breakfast non existent. Breakfast started at 6:30am we arrived at 6:48 am and they had no more scrambled eggs for the morning, they ran out. Biscuits and gravy Ha Ha they had the gravy which looked like they had it cooking all night in a crockpot as for biscuits there were none they didn't have any. No danishes no doughnuts. The help at the hotel was there just to get a paycheck they could care less about the needs of there patrons. It's as if people that used to work here that actually cared about there job left and in there place a bunch of crackheads were hired. Steer clear of this place

So very nice...spacious and clean...comfort suites in McAlester...loved it!!

Petty complaints from me. WiFi was not working, at all, and there was no blackout curtain.

This Hotel was clean and convenient and a good deal price wise…read more The online hotel chain webpage encourages guests to register with the addition of the guest's phot ID and information, etc. - promising to speed up check in to just getting the room key at the front desk upon arrival. The actual process was that the front desk attendant, who said she was new and didn't know how to access the information, asked us to repeat all of the same steps that we had done prior to arrival. This made me feel like the system was just gaming us to get more personal info and for reasons that didn't benefit the guest. Who knows. I doubt any nefarious actions were at the root of the behaviors of the front desk. I suppose the hotel chain online presence was attempting to provide convenience. The good intentions in this case failed, resulting in more inconveniences and exposure to the ill managed (even if well intentioned purposes) process of easy registration and check in, as well as poorly trained personnel. Am I upset? No - just annoyed by this aspect of our experience. The breakfast was great and the front desk attendant(s), as well as breakfast attendants were all friendly enough and thoughtful in all the ways one would expect. Thanks for a clean room and good night of rest. The only other things I would note is that the beds were quite firm. The beds were Q U I T E firm - but they were not old and floppy. The location is also noisy - as in road noise, we faced the road and heard the traffic all night long as the background noise during our sleep time.

POOL PARTY REVIEW-So about two months I called to get prices for two rooms and the pool. The lady…read morethat day(weekday/afternoon time) gave me the room prices and I said okay we also would like to use the pool for my daughter's birthday as well, she said yeah not a problem and they have a side room we could use for her cake as well so I asked okay what is the extra cost for that? Was told nothing since you have a room. Oh okay great thanks! Didn't book rooms that had to wait, so last month called to book the rooms spoke to another lady (weekday/afternoon time) asked the same questions about using the pool for a party and room again was told no cost you have a room. So we send out birthday invitations, get a cake, show up yesterday to the hotel with few of my daughter's friends that had arrived go to check in and use pool. Two men working the desk and the one states only the room guests can use the hotel unless you rent the pool for $300. I said well that was not what I was told. I repeated story above to him, unfortunately I didnt write down names so I couldn't provide him those. He explains I am sorry for the misinformation but to use pool for party you must rent it, sign agreement, and its $300. So I asked to cancel to rooms to go towards the now $300 pool bill and if we could book it immediately because again guests had already started arriving ready to swim? Thankful he did allow us to do that since I was misinformed because normally the time slots were 12-4 or 5-9 I believe, but he allowed us to use it 4-6:30pm. So if plan to use this hotel for a pool party make sure you go in person to get and sign agreement along with paying a $50 deposit you get back as long as everything is good after party then its $300 bill for the rental, because NOWHERE online is this information stated and my experience phone calls are not reliable either.

I had a single king room to myself, which was huge for me. The staff was very friendly and there was a miscommunication on my end about who would ultimately be there but they fixed that with no issue. The pool area, yes I used it, was pretty nice. Obviously not Olympic sized but definitely a lot bigger than some other motel pools I've been in and they have a hot tub area as well to help you loosen up. The fitness area is like 3 treadmills and one of those all in one cable machines, I found a gym nearby and some others chose to run the streets instead. Again, the breakfast, is pretty complete. I'd be lucky if it was some hard boiled eggs but they had a pretty good spread, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties and hash browns, not going to win any awards but included in the room? Seriously, you can't beat it.

The staff at Econo Lodge McAlester are 5 stars all the way!…read more I called to confirm my reservation and let them know I'd be coming in VERY late at night. Moving across country with a LOT of stuff on your roof rack requires frequent stops to check your load. Upon arriving at 4am, I was taken care of swiftly. I was told there was a continental breakfast but didn't get to experience due to "I NEED SLEEP". When I opened my bottom floor room door, the cleanliness was the first thing I smelled. It was a slightly sweet smell. Very welcoming. It was a decent sized room and VERY CLEAN. All the amenities I needed were available = refrigerator, microwave, in-room coffee. The microwave with make your water the temperature of the sun in 20 seconds. #realtalk The bed (most important) was firm, clean, comfortable. 4 semi-firm pillows. My largest concern was leaving my items on top of my vehicle. Normally, I remove and bring in my room. However, 30 feet of rope tied up requires time to undo. We were too tired to want to even think about it. I asked the night manager if my items were going to be safe. He gave me a crazy look before he said "yes". The crazy look convinced me I could sleep soundly and I DID. I was really hoping I would NOT be given a wake up call. I needed ALL seconds of shut eye possible. When dropping off my key on checkout, the day manager remembered me calling. He told me he directed the night guy to let us get our sleep and not bother us in the morning. Awe!!! How did he know?!! Ok, let's get down to the nitty gritty... this IS a budget motel. Don't expect the Taj mahal. It's a little run down in the shower / bathroom area and if your taller than 6'2" you will need to duck your head to fit in the shower. No big deal. I'm not mad at that, and neither was my 6'4" guy. My 6'8" son would find washing up very difficult. I enjoyed the polite conversation with the day manager in the morning, he has a great smile. #facts I also enjoyed the working ice machine in the office, perfect for those traveling with a cooler. REASONS TO VISIT: 1. 24 hour check-in 2. Reasonable rates 3. Comfortable bed 4. Friendly staff 5. Room amenities

Really tiny. I mean toilet paper in your left armpit tiny. The splash board was coming off of the wall and the smoke detector had been removed. The breakfast that had always been very good is not anymore. Warm eggs, hard biscuits and a waffle maker. In the past they offered hot eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits and at times gravy. I know the place has changed owners so I guess the good days are over. I can't recommend this place to stay.
