Had a good stay here. Bed was super comfy, ac worked well, everything was clean. Really liked that all the rooms come with a sofa. Parking lot was well lit and I felt safe that my car wasn't going to get broken into. Continental breakfast was pretty standard fare but the sautéed sausages were great, they were like, smoked sausages cut into slices, not your usual breakfast sausage. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever traveling through Vicksburg. read more

Wow!! The level of service and amenities provided was stellar. They have an small workout gym room perfect for getting in some cardio. Also the room itself was huge for a double queen, big enough to sleep a large family with small children that also came with a small seating area. The free breakfast was a nice assortment of hot items including blueberry & regular waffles (mix), egg omelette with cheese, sausage, oatmeal (instant), biscuit & gravy. Their were also cold items such as yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, croissants, muffins, danishes, bread and fruit like bananas, apples and oranges. Check in lady wasn't that friendly and took a call even though I was standing there waiting for service. The room was clean big enough for 5 of us and we all slept comfortably. We got a handicap room which perfect because I have a bad back and knees and my mother in law is in her 60s. The bathroom was equipped with several handle bars for safety especially because the bathroom gets very wet from condensation build up from showering making the ground super slippery. The tub itself is also super slippery so make sure you are aware of that getting into the shower. My daughter slipped and fell while in the shower and I almost took a fall. But besides those things I slept so great especially traveling straight from California with no sleep brakes besides the ride in the car. read more

I traveled to Vicksburg for a funeral, unfortunately we chose this location because the reviews are pretty good. Well, my review isn't going to be good because the customer service at this place SUCKS and you should spend your money and nights elsewhere. I want to start off by saying that the manager is a complete a**hole! I have a service animal that is with me at all times and I also have a certificate for him. NOPE, the manager would not accept it. He wouldn't even look at the certificate and told me that he did not care. During such a difficult time, I needed my dog there with me and he got denied his stay. This was obviously a busy time in Vicksburg and there were no other hotels available and we got stuck there. Luckily I am from this area and knew someone could keep my ESA pet. Secondly, when I made reservations for this hotel, I was asked if there was there going to be any other accommodations that the hotel could help me with. Yes! I stated that I was traveling with twins and needed to have twin beds in the room upon arrival. Well, it wasn't and again, the rude manager SLAMMED the playpens down on the front desk and said "HERE! FOR YOU!" I have twins, our luggage, car seats and other stuff I have to carry. Although I asked for this accommodation, i did not get it. All I got was a rude manager with an attitude throwing things around. The only upside to this place was the sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. read more

!!!!Absolutely horrible!!!! We booked the 2 bedroom 2 bed suite just to get to our room to see we got a regular 2 bed room. I spoke to the front desk and was told they didn't have any 2 bedroom rooms at the location. We decided to keep the room as it was late - We get back to the room to see dirty foot/shoe prints all through the bathroom, there was sticky cup spots all over the counter and nightstand, we found a random pill about a foot under the bed and a button battery in front of the night stand. This place is disgusting and not for anyone that travels with toddlers. The front desk let someone pop balloons at the front door for about 30 minutes. read more

The Comfort Suites is a three star hotel, but for Vicksburg, it's a great place to stay and worthy of four stars. After several great experiences, I suspect this will become my go to hotel for the area. Vicksburg is a popular tourist destination, but it still retains that small town charm. As such, there are no fancy hotels. There are several three star properties to choose from and I think the Comfort Suites is among the best. When I was searching for a hotel I had several requirements. I wanted a suite type hotel, free breakfast, and a location convenient to the battlefield. This hotel met those expectations. Check in was smooth and problem free. On my first visit I arrived several hours before the regular 3:00 p.m. check in. I called when I was about 15 minutes away and they were very gracious and accommodating. Despite the hotel being quite full, they had my room clean and ready. The rooms are very nice. The a/c is the floor/window type, but there is an actual thermostat control. Trust me, you can get the room extremely cold. The rooms have a bed, desk with chair, couch, refrigerator, coffee maker, and bathroom with a shower/bath. I was highly impressed with the comfort of the beds here and I slept like a baby. It normally takes me several nights to sleep comfortably in a hotel, but this bed just felt like home to me. This room was perfect for my needs and I highly recommend it. On my second trip there were a few cleanliness issues, but nothing too major. Because the hotel gets a lot of families, expect some noise. I didn't find the walls too thin, but I did hear lots of running and whatnot in the hallways. The free breakfast each morning was not very good, but since it was free, I find it difficult to complain. There was a waffle iron, but it frequently had a line. The eggs were awful and flavorless. The biscuits and gravy were the star of the meal, but even that crock pot full of sausage gravy couldn't save the meal. A funny thing happened on my last trip during breakfast. The fire alarm went off and smoke began pouring out of the kitchen. I initially fought the urge to exclaim "oh lord Jesus it's a fire", but I couldn't resist for long. While I thought I was hilarious, no one else did. I have had several really great stays here. For $109 a night, I highly recommend you check it out. read more

Choose this hotel as an option for family reunion on July 29 - July 31, 2023. Room had dog hair on the sofa and the towels in the bathroom was dirty and had been use. I reported this to Bobbi Jo the manager at the time and she had no rooms to give me. Bobbi Jo(manager) wanted it give me credit points. Who want points of credit, I didn't pay with points of credit. I never have problems with hotels but this one was a hot nasty mess. I went brought microban to clean and disinfect the room myself. Will never stay at this hotel again. Bobbi Jo had a nasty attitude and went back and forward with me lying and what the house keepers told her. So I confronted the house keepers in front of Bobbi Jo and she stood there with a dumb look on her face. read more

I've got a great emotional connection for the city of Vicksburg and this hotel has plenty to do with that. While it's not the Ritz, there are so many things that really rock about this hotel. -The rooms are huge with a big spacious living area, microwave, mini fridge and huge comfortable beds. -Bathrooms are large and the tolietries are Bath and Body Works products and they smell great. -Breakfast is sooo good and free. -It is practically across the street from Vicksburg National Military Park. -It's affordable and clean. We had a fine stay at the Comfort Suites in Vicksburg. We chose it because of its proximity to the Vicksburg National Military Park. It is located off Old US-80 (Clay St) just east of I-20. All the staff were friendly and attentive and free WiFi is available. The prices are reasonable. We had a suite room which left me disappointed. I was hoping for a room with a separate bedroom; alas, that wasn't the case. The room simply had a small frosted glass divider and a couch and table in the living area -- no separation between the bed and living areas. Because of the size of the living area with its couch, the bed area felt a bit cramped. Nevertheless, the room was clean and appropriately appointed. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was clean, free of mold, and faucets and drains worked well. The hotel provides a complementary buffet breakfast. Waffles, eggs, bacon/sausage, biscuits & sausage were among the hot items available. Cereal, yogurt and fruit were also available with juices and coffee. read more

Best sleep of my life!!!!! I had been driving for 10 hours and it was so nice to relax here. Huge rooms, huge bed, fluffy pillows and cozy bathroom/shower!! Very nice people work here and there are a lot of amenities. Very safe environment! I was a girl traveling by myself and I never once felt scared or uncomfortable here. And the breakfast wasn't too shabby either (it would've been nice if they had scrambled eggs instead of omelettes but other than that--perfect!) 5 stars! read more

Very happy with this hotel. We stayed in a double queen suite with our children. The room was quite large. We have been traveling for two weeks and staying in different types of lodging and these beds were the most comfortable we have slept in on the entire trip. Nice pillows and linens and extremely comfortable! The rooms were very clean so thank you to the cleaning staff. Carol kept the breakfast bar stocked and extremely clean with a very nice selection. This scores well for all the things you look for in a place to stay. It is easy to find even though not in downtown Vicksburg but that is not far anyway. This next door to an outlet mall but it really is not a very good one. Some stores are a downright sham. Some were decent. It is also close to the Vicksburg National Battlefield and Visitor Center which is the best part of Vicksburg. Close by are what we thought were the two best places to eat that we tried there. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The beds are comfortable and everything worked. The bathroom was clean, large and everything worked well including sufficient hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful including the lady in the breakfast area who worked hard keeping everything replenished and clean as well some friendly chatting with the tourists while she worked. I was so impressed I left her a tip. The breakfast had enough selections including hot ones like biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and waffles to pick from. We did not experience any problems with noise from the room. The only negative experience was they had rented rooms to a highway construction group who sat outside the front entrance drinking and smoking and commenting to all the women going in and out of the building which was sleazy and made my wife and daughter most uncomfortable. We did not even go down to breakfast until we were sure they were gone. I hope they reconsider letting guests loiter near the front entrance. They should not allow any smoking on the property at all. Then the sleazebags would have to go to some grimy bar nearby to smoke or at least off the property where the other guests are not so intimidated by them. Maybe have a defined smoking area that is away from the front entrance. We did file a complaint with the front desk. That ruined the stay there for us but it is a good hotel. read more

I have never ever stayed at Comfort Suites before but had stayed in a couple of other choice hotels years and years ago and I have a very good impression of them, however, this Comfort Suites has changed my mind. It was updated, clean, organized, well taken care of and breakfast was nice. But, king bed mattress was not good. It's sunk in the middle moved every time I even twitched. The staff was professional and courteous but not real pleasant, but that's OK they don't have to be I'm just saying. read more

Nice room, comfortable bed, good water pressure and friendly staff all qualities I want for one night hotel stay while on a road trip. My only complaint is the channels listed in the directory didn't match the TV so I was forced to scroll through all the channels. Gasp! Just don't. They're currently undergoing renovations and should probably just temporarily close. There were toenail clippings all over the floor and what looked like possibly a piece of dried up sausage. The door was off kilter and the deadbolt wouldn't lock or open properly (the secondary lock would). My room was missing a huge chunk of carpet (cut out and down to bare floor) in the living room area, which they tried to conceal by pushing the couch over to that corner (and not putting a lamp in the living room so you couldn't see). I already knew there weren't other rooms from being denied a request to move away from the elevator (by the night clerk who really didn't seem like she wanted to be bothered) and it was late, so I dealt with it. The only bad part about the stay was we were next door to a room full of kids that knocked on the door at 7 am (i'm assuming they were playing some sort of game) and giggling as they ran down the hallway. Stayed here nne night - planned to pass through Vicksburg on a cross-country trip with the family and made a reservation here. Pros - Room was reasonably clean, reservation was held as requested, easy on-off to I-20. Cons: Pretty thin walls so was a bit noisy, TV had only a handful of channels, and parking was very limited - we were pulling a small trailer and barely found a place to park when we arrived. Overall decent place for the price. I will try something else next time I plan to pass through Vicksburg, but given ratings of other places in town could see coming back here. read more

When we set it to 70, it turned out to 55 instead. To try to compensate, we turned it to 80. That was really 80. We had reservations for this hotel using an employee discount in May, 2018. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that they would not honor our reservation rate and if we wanted to stay at the hotel we could make another reservation at a higher rate. We asked to speak to the manager and Larry said he could not call him. We could speak to him the next day when he came to work. My husband contacted his manager to see if he could get the situation straightened out. In the meantime, we went and checked in at another hotel. We were notified after about 2 hours that our rate would be honored so we went back there. While the hotel itself is very nice and we enjoyed the pool, the staff could use some improvement. Sunni, the manager was very unprofessional and Larry, the desk clerk was rude. Also our room was not totally finished while it was being serviced by the maid service. I had to go to the desk and get the items that were not restocked in our room. I cannot recommend this hotel and I will never stay there again. read more
