I discovered this place yesterday in Beachwood Mall! I really appreciate acupressure and never thought I would find a place like this in the Cleveland area. I am really starting to feel the whole "I'm getting old" thing, so this type of massage feels more therapeutic than pure relaxation. I elected to try the 10 min acupressure neck/shoulder massage for $12 and it helped to release some of my shoulder strain that I've been feeling. I also tried the 30 min foot reflexology massage - they definitely use strong hands and got some good relief on my calf muscles. They also give you water and a towel to cover your face so that you don't have to awkwardly sit there and watch them. They have a range of options, anywhere from 10-60 min for neck/shoulder, foot, or full body. No need to make appointments - walk-in is fine. I'll definitely be back if I need a massage! read more

So I moved from Kent to Willoughby and opened this new account to review my new experiences up here and completely forgot that I reviewed this place last year under an old account. I apparently liked it so much I actually opened a yelp account solely to review it and then promptly forgot I had that account. But since I've been a frequent customer here for over a year now, I wanted to add a couple of things under my new, current account: First, I still come here about once a month if not more. Now that I live in Willoughby, it is great because instead of driving 30-40 minutes to come get a massage here I only have to drive 20-25! I'm a nurse and my job can be very physically strenuous and stressful. It is incredibly important that I keep myself physically strong and healthy. So I am constantly on the lookout for places to go to help rejuvenate myself. I've tried those online coupon thingies like Living Social or Groupon where you get massages at a super discounted rate. But here's the thing -- they never compare to this place. It's always a waste of money. All the stuff I wrote about Chinese medicine and how it's the bomb... well, it still is. The pros of this place: it rocks and it works. It isn't even that expensive -- especially compared to other places that offer massage. You can get a 60 minute table massage for $59. And it works BETTER than your average massage place because they use different techniques (i.e. accupressure -- see what I wrote in my earlier review). Another great thing about Comfort Zone -- you can walk right in. I hate making appointments. I love that if I have a rough night at work I can wake up the next day and drive over and get a massage. The cons: the staff are great, but they don't speak too much English so there is confusion sometimes when people come in and want a massage and say, everyone is already taken so they have to wait. Or they don't realize other people are already waiting. This doesn't happen often, but it has happened. Another con is that every so often you have to wait 5-20 minutes for somebody to be free. (It's worth the wait though!) One other thing I REALLY wish they would do is have some sort of club or incentive or card or something so if you have so many massages there you get one for free, etc. Something like that. Regardless of all that, I am and will continue to be a loyal customer to this place. They are like a hidden little gem in Beachwood mall! Awesome massages! For a little less than $50, I do the combo therapy of reflexology and body massage. You are clothed the entire time and the massage for your body feels better and more stress relieving than any other place you'll go to, they really work the muscles and it could be a little painful at times but in a good way ;) Sometimes they are busier than usual and you'll have to wait while they are with other customers, but usually it's no more than 10 minutes. Unbelievably effective chair massage, esp. for the price (about $1/minute). I have my favorite employees there (who figure out for themselves where I need the most work), but they're all worth the price. What an amazing relaxing break from holiday shopping! The focus is acupressure... So it's not exactly a 'feel good' massage, but the man who worked on me ( I had a 20 minute chair massage for $23) worked out kinks that I've had for years- no decades. I have horrible neck pain and plantar fasciitis in both feet. Originally I went to comfort zone out of sheer desperation for relief from the neck pain; knowing that they accepted walk-ins I knew I could get in quickly. I got a 30 min acupressure neck massage and it was amazing! Not at all relaxing like a regular neck massage, in fact I was gritting my teeth at certain points as he tenderized every muscle into mush. BUT by the end I could see the method to his madness. I was a little sore the next day, but I'm happy to say I haven't felt that neck pain that plagued me for a year in 3 whole months! I know it will come back, but it's so relieving to know that after many failed (expensive) orthopedic surgeon appointments that I have finally got my money's worth. Couple months later I went back for my feet. I've had plantar fasciitis for years and have sought out lots of professional help with only moderate results. But after my first acupressure massage on my feet, I finally feel significant relief. I'm deducting one star because none of them speak even minimal English. I don't know how they run this business in a busy American mall without knowing the language. You basically communicate through miming and pointing to a menu. Learn English! Just saying.... Service here was very questionable, they laugh at their customers when they walk out. I did an hour massage on the table they offer and it's an open space. The guy kept talking to another employee and laughing and sometimes even stopped. They even switch out masseurs and they don't listen to your needs they just get straight to it. During the end of my massage the guy was literally slapping my feet really hard and when I took the towel off my eyes he was laughing with another employee sitting across, when I looked up he stopped. Very disrespectful people for NO reason at all; I paid and didn't tip, I was furious. if you want a good massage and people that treat you nicely I would head over to Blissful Foot Spa in Chagrin. I'm never coming back here again and will deter this place from everyone I know. read more

They use a strong hand which I need. Very helpful if you're into an strenuous activity. I visit here often. Definitely reasonable. Fast & easy. Only complaint is that it is a *little noisier than a spa yet better than in the middle of the mall. The woman that seems to run the place always seems distracted when I have her as therapists. But ANY of the male therapists are all superb. read more

I went there for a massage I usually get a medium massage. No one can speak english . They either massage very light or heavy. when you asked them to go more gently they laugh or they will speak in chinese to the other staff while they continue to work on you. They are also very greedy when it comes the tip. I would not recommend this place for anything read more

got a 30 massage on a bed. The guy rubbed oil and stuck his hand "inside" my T-shirt, swimming his hand on my entire back without asking me first. It was not a spa, it was just an open area with tables and chairs. I felt so uncomfortable and I saw the guy acrossed from me that had a towel covered him completely and his masseuse just massaged him "outside" the towel. Should I know he would be stucking his hand in there, I would've asked for a female masseuse. I told this guy to avoid my spinal cord because I have bone spurs; he touched it 3 times with force during the massage, I was moaning in pain whenever he touched it. He was using too much force throughout the entire massage, the entire session was very painful. After that, I not only felt uncomfortable being touched by a stranger (inside my T shirt) but my sore spot still sores... and the next day, the cheap oil that he put on my back, shoulders and neck caused rash all over my back. I love this place! Acupressure massage here is better than any other massage I've ever gotten. Period. If you're not sure, just get a 10 or 20 minute massage and go from there. You can do a chair massage, table massage or foot massage. From what I've gathered from talking to the people there, the employees have two years' training at a massage school in Beijing. The massage is based on Chinese medicine so it might be a bit different than what you've gotten before if you generally get the American/Western medicine type massages... but I like these kinds of massages way better! I travel a significant distance to go here and I love that you can just walk in any time. I've been here multiple times and never been disappointed. The only down side is that the people here are not all great at speaking English, so just look at the list of things they have to offer and point at what you want and you should be fine. They really know their stuff and every time I drive up there it is totally worth the trip. You feel AMAZING afterwards! I am on my feet constantly for my job and it totally does the trick!
