Being in the industry (on the commercial side) I've seen some things and BP's pricing was more than fair. Would absolutely call again if and when I have the need.

I am writing to warn people about the poor quality service and high product cost from Crabtree…read moreServices. I used Crabtree Services a couple of times as my regular HVAC group was working on my retail units. I was appalled by the incompetent service and the extremely high cost of their products. I was told by the Crabtree technician, who appeared to be unable to define the condition of my units or what needed to be done, that the Freon was low. I did tell him to add Freon if it was needed. What I was not told was that a 198.00 service call would cost me 1000.00. I called Mr. Crabtree to resolve the problem without success. When I asked how Crabtree Services could take a product like Freon that cost him 27.00 a pound and sell it for 229.00 a pound he simply stuttered and said " that's the price we charge." I turned the case over to the North Carolina Attorney General for their review for price gouging. The case had not been finally resolved so my next step is to take this to the local television station for their investigation. I also had my preferred HVAC company look at the work, replacing some wiring in one of the units, Crabtree had done. My technician found that the work was shoddy and the wrong gauge wire was used. The work that Crabtree had done would just keep breaking down had my team not found it and repaired it. My goal is to simply educate people about companies that fail to deliver quality service and products for fair prices. Crabtree is such a company. Please do not be swayed by the positive reviews as they can be purchased or may be written by the Crabtree owner or employees. If you need service on your HVAC system, my advice to you is to stay away from Crabtree Services.

From the first call to the follow up call after the install, they have been amazing to deal with…read more They have been very easy to reach with any questions we have had before and after the install. The stove is incredible. We had a Taylor prior to this stove. The firebox started leaking and then a lot of the seals started to leak. When comparing a Taylor to a Legend there are so huge differences. With the temperature gauge, the Taylor always had it filled with smoke and you had to constantly clean it to see what the temperature of the water was. It is far to the left on the legend, so this should not be an issue. There is also a digital temperature display next to the temperature gauge. The fan on the Taylor is right in the front and always seem to get clogged with Chris. The fan on the legend is beneath the great so this should not be an issue. There is no great in the fire box on aTaylor. The great in the legend fire box allows for much better airflow. We are using much less wood than we did in theTaylor. We had the Taylor for 20 years so we are very experienced with Woodstoves. When do you open up the back of the stove, with a Taylor you had to lift up the door and take it off and set it aside. It was a flimsy piece of sheet metal with a handle on each side. This is not the case with the legend. It is on a hinge And it is a real door not just sheet metal. Once the back was opened on the Taylor, you saw a lot of spray foam and the heat had to come through the back as well and constantly got clogged. On The Legend it is metal that you can open that door as well if needed. It is a much cleaner and neater design. We could not be more happy with this stove!
