Their advertised "Free Estimates" is untrue, so be aware before you schedule a technician, you will be billed. I called for an estimate for replacing my HVAC Thermostat. The service coordinator pushed her maintenance special with the purchase of a yearly contract, but couldn't give me an estimate for the thermostat, which I had already purchased. The appointment was made and the service technician arrived on time. He quoted that the thermostat replacement would cost $250.00. $360.00 or so, if I wanted the annual service. I refused the quote. I was then billed $79.00 for the service call. The estimate was not free, and their prices are astronomical. Buyer Beware!!! read more

They wanted to charge me to replace my whole unit when only a valve was found to be faulty by another company that ended up fixing it. I paid $300 to get my unit fixed while this scam of a company said that it would cost $12,000 to replace my whole unit. You told me I was first scheduled between 8 and 10 AM. At 8:45 I called and found out that you were all in a meeting and my rep would be about 10:30. If I had issues with my heating or cooling I would not recommend this company. Just due to the fact of the unprofessional driving. First this driver didn't stop at t light then you are basically riding the car in front of you... I don't know how you didn't hit them. Also going at least 65 in a 35....I was already going 45 and you were still pulling away... The car you were riding we actually both got stuck at the same light and they will also be calling and or doing a review since I had your van number. And they felt in danger. read more

Be warned to use them at your own risk. Technician was super however their warranty policy is dishonest. I used Comfort Zone last week to replace the compressor capacitor on one of my units. This was a warranty part. Comfort Zone is a certified carrier technician company with a certified carrier parts distributor. when they priced the work I told them the unit was under warranty but they didnt say anything about the part price. My mistake but since they were there I needed the part replaced. I asked them after the service to ensure they submit warranty claim to their distributor to get the refund which is the carrier process. They told me "they dont work with warranty companies". Im a little surprised at this. It costs them nothing and takes 1 minute of work. Carrier does not refund warranty directly to consumers. Be very warned about this company and the scam they seem to be engaged in. Ive yet to see my refund and if they do I will retract my review. read more

The only people I will use for my heating and A/C needs. I have been using them seems like once a summer since 2007. I have had everything from a simple electrical short in the outlet that they fixed for just the consultation fee to installing a whole new unit. When every time something goes wrong it goes a long way to earning my trust when it is not worst case scenario. I trusted I needed a new unit when I was told I did. Yesterday I had a capacitor blow, which is what I suspected. But not being a technician I had them come out, called and came 45 minutes early (nice when he house is hot) and I was cooling the house within 30 minutes. But to be honest, they could have told me it would be a week before they could get out and I would have waited and not called another company, that is how much I trust these folks with my A/C! read more

If you are looking for a professional HVAC company, this is the place. They are organized, competent and they follow-through. We replaced our heat pump and the install was seamless. The regular maintenance is scheduled in a professional manner. They make recommendations but there are no hard-sell tactics. After the maintenance calls, they follow up to make sure you are satisfied and don't have any questions. I am planning to replace another unit and will definitely call them when I'm ready. Okay... Let me start with the fact that I did extensive research in what i needed (two 3 ton variable speed complete systems). I interviewed and received quotes from three other companies, which all came in significantly higher. That said, the sales representative asked questions and came to the same conclusion I did in regards to my needs as opposed to EVERY other seller who spewed at the mouth and didn't ask a singe discovery question... My point is this, Comfort zone asked, listened, and made recommendations as opposed to stating what I "needed". In addition, Comfort came out and fixed my current system (more of a Band-Aid) for free while I wait for the installation. This review would have been a 2, but thanks to the company standing behind their service it has won me as a loyal customer for life. I contacted Comfort Zone for a routine service to the A/C in preparation for the summer. The technician that came to my house was Dave. He had a trainee with him. During the service they lowered the thermostat down to 68, but neglected to adjust it back up to 75. I didn't realize this, and left the house for several hours while both units were struggling to cool it down on a 90+ degree day. When I got home at 5:30pm I noticed it was very hot, checked the thermostat and saw the temperature was 85 while the thermostat was set to 68. After checking the outside units it looked like the main unit was not working. Of course I was extremely unhappy and called comfort zone. Dave the technician left in the middle of his dinner and drove 45 minuted to my house to fix the problem. For that level of service and guarantee I commend this company and Dave. It's rare to experience this type of customer service these days and I truly appreciate their dedication to their customers! read more

They charged us $80 for a service call, and found out the condensation pump was bad. They wanted over $300 additional funds to replace the pump. I called the office manager, and I doubt if she even knew what HVAC stood for. I asked them to break out the cost, and they refused. I bought the pump from Home Depot myself and replaced it in 10 minutes. The pump is outside of the unit, and it plugs into the wall. Seriously, $300 on top of the service call? The sales guy came out the next day, and confirmed that the office manager is a tool. He complained that we were loosing lots of money, because the tape on the units wasn't sealed. Apparently, the guy that came out the day before left the tape ripped off. These guys are disfunctional and IMO dishonest. read more

We have used Comfort Zone twice. The first time was for complete replacement of my HVAC system about 5 years ago. The second was for a blown motor/wheel on a 2-year old system a week ago. We cannot say enough POSITIVE things about this company. They are EXCELLENT! Here's a list of why I like them: Exceptional customer service. Everyone is friendly and goes out of their way to help. NOT pushy and sales driven. When we had them quote our complete HVAC system, they gave us the quote and told us to feel free to get other quotes. There was no pressure to buy from them. We did call a few other companies and it was obvious that Comfort Zone was the absolute best choice because of (1) their customer service, and (2) they offered the best price (and this does not mean they were the lowest price). Quick response from taking phone calls to scheduling appointments and performing the service. I called on Saturday morning at 8am and a tech arrived at 11:00. Gave us the bad news about the blown/motor and the earliest they could order the part was Monday and install on Tuesday. It happened exactly as he said. On Monday they ordered the part and by 3pm on Tuesday our system was back up and running. Always show up when they promise. Our scheduled appointment was a 3-6pm time slot. The technician - Fred - was knocking on our door at 3pm. WOW! Knowledgeable. It only took Gary 10 minutes to diagnose the problem. Took Fred about 30 minutes to install the parts and get the system running. While he was waiting for the system to cycle, Fred answered a bunch of questions we had about air circulation issues. He determined the problem and we have called to have them fix that as well. (Called today and they are coming tomorrow afternoon. WOW again!) He even told us about the most effective type of filter to use and his recommendation is going to save us $20/2 filters because we were buying the "name brand" which we didn't really need. We have once again purchased their maintenance plan. It's worth every penny to keep our system up and running efficiently and avoiding any unexpected issues in the future. A co-worker highly recommended CZ and she was right! I have them come out every spring to check my AC and every fall to check my heat. They are always on time, polite, and professional, and their service techs don't reek of cigarettes as so many are known to do. I had them install a new furnace two years ago and, even though it took a while and some extra work to adapt a physically smaller unit to where a larger one had been for 30 years, there was no additional charge and I noticed the lower gas bills right away. read more

Always great response and service. Comfort Zone installed an HVAC system in our lower floor and have serviced our three units for a few years now. I really like that they empower their technicians to make common sense decisions, such as we had a unit/condenser that was cleaned a year ago but was showing some signs of needing to cleaned again. The technician saw where we paid a decent for the prior cleaning and just went ahead and cleaned it again without charge. Also, some component was going bad on one unit causing performance issues. He strongly suggested (I completely agreed) that he should also test the other unit (if one unit has gone bad, there is a good chance the other unit is not far behind). Sure enough, the other unit was close to failing and we went ahead replaced the component on both units. This saved us the pain of having a unit down during the hot Atlanta summer and another potential service fee. All in all, I have been very pleased with Comfort Zone. read more

They diagnosed the issue with my HVAC system and repaired it when two other companies failed...after paying them thousands! Told me it was a $400 circuit board and we decided to put in a new unit...but would come install a $200 thermostat to get us temporary heat. I was out of town on business or I would have fixed this problem myself. I am capable of changing a capacitor. The tenant in my rental house waited 3 days for them to finally show up and then called me to tell me the price of the capacitor was $199.00. The last time I bought a dual run capacitor for my A/C unit I paid $8.60 for it. I don't mind paying for service and parts, but not 2,300%. Never plan to use them again. read more

We used them for a few years and spend a few thousand dollars and every time something else needed repairing. It was always too hot in the summer and never warm enough in the winter. The company at this address http://www.comfort-zonehvac.com did a horrible furnace install at my home. They didn't check to make sure that everything was properly sealed which caused gas to leak into my condo for over 24 hours. I'm very lucky that I decided not to spend the night at home or I would've died from carbon monoxide poisoning. When I came home the next day, I was engulfed in a cloud of gas right when I opened the front door. The leak was traced back to the furnace, and it took Comfort Zone hours to send someone out who just temporarily fixed the problem until they could send someone else out 2 days later on a Monday. They really didn't seem to care that myself, my nephew or my neighbors could've been killed due to their negligence. I have the e-mails to prove it!! read more
