Mike spent a lot of time educating us about the different recliners and the maintenance care. They both provided a relaxed, no-pressure environment, which allowed us time to make the decision that was best for us. Loved the large inventory. Ordered a loveseat and recliner in January. I was told 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. I did not receive the furniture until May. The recliners were not a special order. Just standard materials colors. After finally receiving the furniture, the center counsel hinge was broken, and the recliners remotes will not stay programmed. So in order to recline in my new furniture, I have to reprogram the remote every day. it is now June with no resolve. read more

So disappointed with service at West Springfield Lazboy Comfort Studio. We purchased a Recliner in August 2017, and a couch, for our second home in the Berkshires. We took delivery about 6 weeks later. When my husband retired this April we moved back full time, and this summer noticed the material on the foot rest was being pulled so the white stitching was visible. No rip or tear, just white stitching. And yes, I did procrastinate to notify West Springfield store. I had misplaced receipt but they had me in system. We drove to store Dec. 6th. The manager was not there but we were given his card and told to e-mail a pic. We did. We felt it was a manufacturing issue, not a fabric issue. Pretty obvious to us but not to Alex Schimelpfenig, manager of West Springfield Store. He said there was only a year warranty on fabric. Sorry, but my husband hasn't even used it 6 months, so no wear & tear on this chair. Its a manufacturing defect in our opinion. After reading reviews from corporate office responses, I knew I was screwed. So SAD! Not buying Lazboy again. Such an easy fix for you, but you choose not too. read more

The store is up to date on stylish furniture, fitting everyone's tastes, and prices fit our budget. We're really happy with the results of our visit, after visiting several competitors. Hands down the best furniture at the most reasonable prices. You won't find more solidly-constructed rocker-recliners at any other furniture joint in the area. Now that we finally have our chair, my nursing wife could not be happier or more comfortable with our 4-day old son in her arms in our chair. I would post a pic, but I think that's inappropriate. I had some bumps during my purchase including an extra week of waiting and then receiving the incorrect chair due to warehouse worker error, but the owner, Kevin, more than made up for it. I shopped at almost every furniture store in 7 different towns going to about 20 stores to find the perfect chair. I went into La-Z-Boy showcase as the only place left. I sat in the first chair and it was perfect--just what I was looking for in comfort good back support and not large; not a recliner. I was so pleased and surprised, I picked out the material and bought two chairs( they were on sale). Well the material was great but it wasn't as comfortable. I thought maybe they needed to be used and broken in. Well after 1 year I did call Laz-Z-boy and told them the problem. They sent a man to come out to my home, and look at the chair and compare to the one in the store. Sure enough the cushions stuffing and shape was a little different. Two weeks later I got a call to pick up my new cushions ---Surprised and happy because they are the best and most comfortable chairs. How Great is that. I went to check out recliners before the tax-free weekend, because my La-Z-Boy recliner was ratcheting down every time I put up the foot rest. I went in and was greeted by salesman. I wish I remembered his name, but he was very friendly, and during our conversation I told him that I had La-Z-Boy recliner and described what was wrong with it. He told me that they have a lifetime warranty for that kind of problem. I know that when I bought it, I was never told this. I told him that I didn't buy my recliner there. He said it was no problem. So, on the first day of tax-free weekend, which was hectic, needless to say, they took my chair, fixed it with the hour, and didn't charge me for the labor, since it was my first repair. That kind of great customer service, which didn't benefit them and if they hadn't told me, I'd be none the wiser and would have purchased a new recliner, guarantees that when I do need a new one, I will definitely buy it from them, even though I live in the opposite direction from their store. It is hard to find businesses like this anymore, that care more about the customer than the bottom line. Highly recommend this store - and they had a wonderful assortment of recliners and all sorts of other furniture available! read more

My wife and I stopped into the store yesterday to look at recliners. We were looking for a chair that is solidly constructed and made in the USA. Upon our arrival, we headed down to the lower level to first see if there might be any bargains to be found. I noticed that the store's public restrooms were down in the lower level. I must comment that the bathrooms were the filthiest, most disgusting bathrooms that I have ever seen in my entire life. The sink was literally black with grime, there was no soap, and there is some sort of drip basin that is part of the ancient plumbing. I am surprised that this bathroom did not give me nightmares last night. After seeing (and using) that bathroom, we left the store. If everything else in this store is wonderful, those bathrooms send a message that could not possibly be more negative. Customers deserve better. Much better. Based upon my experience with their bathroom, I would not make a purchase in this store. read more

After twelve years, my La-Z boy recliner was is sad shape. The rocking and recline feature still worked, but the fabric was shot. Off I went to buy another. Stopped at three locations and than stopped at La-Z-Boy showroom in West Springfield. The other locations had negatives such as higher prices, pressure from sales people and their recliners required a lot of pressure on the foot rest to make the chair move from a reclining position to a seated one. At La-Z-Boy showroom I found the smooth motion that I had in my old chair. With only using the side lever, the chair moved smoothly from reclined to a rocking chair again. The price was about $150 to $175 less than the other stores, but my chair was on sale. I guess Jan. and Feb. are great months to buy furniture, who knew, not me. A sales person greeted me at La-Z-Boy and than left me to look around. No pressure. I asked if I could take the chair that day and was told the back came off to make it easy to transport. A young guy brought it to my SUV and off I went. Parking out front is tight. Only about seven spots, but not a real hassle. Overall, I can't think of one negative about this store. I hope they are in business in ten or twelve years from now when this recliner needs to be replaced. read more

I purchased a Lazy boy loveseat recliner for $1400. When I was called and told that it was in and ready for pickup I explained that I would need them to load it into my truck, and I would have help to unload it at my home. I told them I would be there on Sunday afternoon to pick it up. When I arrived on Sunday I was rudely told by the saleswoman that the warehouse person had called in sick and the only other person who could load it was with customers. I explained that I had been told that someone would load it for me she said if I wanted to take it I would have to help load it. I asked her how much it weighed, she pointed at the floor model and said 'same as that one'. The person who was with a customer finally finished and the woman again told me, rather rudely, that if I wanted my furniture I would have to help load it. I paid the balance on the loveseat and she handed me my receipt, snottily said 'down the drive between here and the donut shop', and that was it. No 'thank you for your business", no "have a good day', nothing. The worker and I loaded the loveseat into the back of the truck and I was on my way. It turned out that it wasn't extremely heavy, but the fact of the matter was that I drove all the way down to West Springfield under the assumption that it would be loaded for me. They never called to tell me the warehouse man wasn't in so I could have the option of finding someone to help me. I contacted the owner, Kevin Pernice via Linkdin and he contacted me the next day. I told him what I had experienced and he basically shrugged his shoulders, gave a half-a**ed apology and said the employee was having a bad day. I wasn't looking to get anything out of the complaint other than to make him aware of the situation but he never asked me what he could do to make it right. A bad business move if you ask me. When we first went in to shop for the loveseat there was trash, food and drink containers scattered everywhere. It wasn't a pleasant buying experience at all and we DEFINITELY won't be returning in the future read more
