Anthony went over the monthly payments with me and it was a little more than what I wanted to pay. So he called his boss and I got my adjustable bed frame free which brought my monthly payments down to what I can afford. When we entered we were greeted by Melissa, and she couldn't have been more of a blessing to help facilitate this process. After asking us our preferences and sleeping styles she guided us to what ultimately was the mattress we bought (first try, first recommendation)! She had us try an arrangement of other mattresses to be sure, but there was nothing topping the first one. Plus, she guided us to the mattress that had a better deal (only change was the pattern of the fabric on top). Melissa was informative, helpful and made the whole mattress shopping experience rather enjoyable, a phrase that few say I'd imagine. She also helped recommend us to other stores in the area for items we needed (furniture related) since we're new to the area. Great experience from beginning to end, stop by & ask for Melissa-you won't regret it.

I bought a scratch and dent unit and, despite their final sale policy, I was assured that AF performs in-house tests and the units work as intended. After hooking up the unit and checking all ports, the dishwasher leaked. There was a seam in the drum that was damaged or defective and was leaking water from the side panel. IF they actually test ran this unit, they would not have been able to miss this leak. I called AF 4 times that day because of this issue (I called a 5th time because of another question that never was answered). Call 1: I tell them the unit is leaking from the side panel, not a port. The associate, J, doesn't have an answer and the manager was on break so they would need to call me back. I wait an hour and call back (break should be done and I haven't heard anything) Call 2: J tells me to call KitchenAid because the unit is still under warranty. I know from working in manufacturing that this isn't KA's problem, but I call anyway. KA tells me that the warranty doesn't cover this issue. I call the store back. Call 3: I tell J that KA doesn't cover this issue. He tells me he needs to talk to the manager and will call me back. I wait a few hours and call back. Call 4: I ask J, he answered, what is going on. He states they are working on trying to find me a comparable replacement unit and will call me when they find something. Why didn't they call me to tell me this? Who knows. Well, that was 3 weeks ago now. I haven't gotten 1 phone call from them. They have my information. I was left with a dishwasher that doesn't work and I am not allowed to return. They just told me what I wanted to hear and completely blew me off. AF offers a warranty and I can't imagine that they help ANYONE with issues with how my experience went. These calls were 2 days after I bought the unit. If you are looking for scratch and dent appliances I highly recommend Western Mass Appliance (they didn't have any KA's in the weeks I called them) they are a small business run by local people.

When the employee asked us for the order number, he said that they no longer have the dryer, even though we had already bought the dryer and it was ours. Beware -- unprofessional and dishonest business practices!…read more I wish I had seen all the negative reviews about this company before making my purchase, because my experience with Dan Wells at Affordable Mattress and Furniture was almost identical to several others. I called ahead to let Dan know I was interested in a couch and ottoman, and he confirmed they were available. When I arrived, however, he had already sold the ottoman and only the couch remained. I told him I wanted both pieces, so he said he would order another ottoman. When the delivery finally happened, it was raining -- and not only did they arrive without the ottoman, but the couch was completely uncovered, leaving all the cushions soaked. I had to set them up myself and dry them out before use. Even worse, during the delivery they caused significant damage to my stairwell -- including the walls, ceiling, and door frame. I took photos and videos immediately and contacted Dan right away. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, he was condescending and defensive, immediately accusing me of lying and claiming that "there's no way his delivery guys caused all that damage." He insisted the damage "must have already been there." This was absolutely not true. He promised to come inspect it himself and said the ottoman would be in "tomorrow or the next day." Weeks went by -- no ottoman, no visit, no call. I had to repeatedly chase him down for updates. Every time, he had a new excuse: "We're so busy," "the ottoman is heavy," or "my repair guy is in high demand." After months of delays, he finally showed up on July 20th -- more than two months after the original delivery -- with his "painter" to "look at the damage." Again, his tone was condescending, suggesting that "not all of that could have been from his delivery guys." After that visit, I heard nothing again for weeks. By September 13th, I had to reach out yet again, and the same excuses followed. As of November 11th, it's been over six months, and nothing has been repaired. He has stopped responding entirely. I told him not to come back into my home and asked for a simple $200 refund of the delivery fee so I could pay someone else to fix the damage. I even sent him my Venmo -- still no response. To make matters worse, I've noticed a disturbing pattern: for every negative review about this company, another suspiciously positive one appears soon after, contradicting the complaints almost point by point. Dan Wells and Affordable Mattress and Furniture have shown no accountability, no professionalism, and no respect for their customers. Between the damaged property, months of excuses, accusations of dishonesty, and lack of any resolution, I would strongly urge anyone to take their business elsewhere.

Susan was not only professional and reliable but she personally arranged delivery on our daughter's birthday but also followed up with the bedframe (which was available earlier than expected) and provided the credit she had offered two months earlier without my need yo do anything.
