This has become my 10-year-old son's favorite retro store. We have visited about 10 times since…read morediscovering it this past summer. It has very good pricing and a great selection of games and consoles. Consoles generally range from the Atari VCS (2600) to seventh generation (360, DS, Wii, PS3). Consoles come with one controller and the attachments needed to hook the system up to a TV. The console software is pretty extensive, starting with the NES and running up through 7th gen. Most of the handheld is Gameboy and DS. Once again, their selection is rather well rounded. Some of the more premium titles are located in the display case back by the register. There are also some rare curiosities in the collection that were pleasant surprises ( I never expected to see a full catalog of Virtual Boy software on display anywhere ). Something to be aware of is that any retro purchases can sometimes not work out. We have had one GBA cart and an XBOX cd fail to start when trying out the software at home. The store has a very generous return policy. I believe as long as you bring back the title within 10, they will accept returns and exchanges. The staff is very friendly and will always try to help out. In our cases, the store gave us a direct exchange on the scratched XBOX disc after trying to repair it instore, and a full refund for the GBA game. The store also has other typical collections (Trading Card Games, Funko Pops and other figurines). These are not my area of expertise, so I can't comment on the selection or prices. Several arcade machines are set on free-to-play mode at the store entrance to round out the experience. If vintage video games are your thing, then Retro Loot is definitely worth checking out.

Tried to sell 2 figures to them both combined was around 150$ which was shown last sold online,…read morethey were only offering store credit and was only going to give me 60 dollars for both figures which is less than 40%!!! Most other business give 60% towards store credit so stay away from Retro loot if u have trade ins u will lose money!!

Shopping in an actual store, especially for physical-disk video games, seems like such a thing of…read morethe past. After all, you can download games directly now with your game consoles, and if you really want a physical disc, you can just use Amazon and it's on your doorstep in two days or less. The GameStop in Carlisle, however, reminds me why these places were such awesome parts of my childhood and why I hope they never disappear. The employees here are awesome. Every time I come here, they talk to me about games - and they don't try to push stuff down my throat - they ask what I'm playing or what games I've enjoyed playing before. We laugh about games that we all enjoyed; we grumble about games that were underwhelming; we bicker about games we disagree about. It's like hanging out with your friends, except they know video games in a professional way (and not just a "I play Halo and can tell you every characters name"). They run "buy two get one free" deals (and deals like it) often, so if you're looking to stock up for a school break, or just to add some spice to your gaming library (trust me, I'd play the Mass Effect series every day too), stop in and talk to the folks at GameStop. They'll give you honest feedback ("you probably won't like that" or "it wasn't that good" are answers I actually get from these folks), and I've been pleasantly surprised by their recommendations. Check out Carlisle GameStop and get your game fix on today!
