Commack Motor Inn definitely topped my expectations! It's one of few places I can stay on Long Island close to home. The staff is very helpful and on the ball. The rate is reasonable and it was super easy to check in. A few people were there walking around, but they were nice. There are plenty of stores around, just in case you get bored. If I could give it a zero I would. Don't be fooled by their photos because it's photos of an actual hotel but absolutely not them. I asked the front desk are the rooms clean and he really said yes so I paid. I opened the door to the room and it looks nothing like the photos that they're advertising it's disgusting. They had semen spots on the bed skirt and there were piles of dirt in the corners of the room. The bathroom tiles were dirty and disgusting as well as the tub. There a bottle of gold rush on the floor after googling to see what it was ("Gold Rush" is a brand name for alkyl nitrite, a recreational drug commonly known as a popper). They are listed as a hotel but they're not even a motel. Run the other way because I'm pretty sure it's more like it's a short stay. Not to mention they have free porn on several channels. read more

Arrive to check in. Weird vibe. No friendly welcoming service with a whole bunch of computer clicks. Given keys and told go that way behind silver doors...it was very confusing. This poorly designed The door to the rooms is not outside, you have to go in and look for the room the. Move car so your close to the entrance. Room- super cold. Im surprised no ice on ceiling mirrors. No couch, The room looks like porn or a history of prostitución was done here. Mirrrors on ceiling and bed. Pulled in to get my key not very welcoming at front desk, anyhow i was looking forward to what the commercial said- little getaway with hot tub jets, booked the room for my boyfriends birthday - we ended up walking in to a 5 x8 room with a bed in one corner and jacuzzi in other, bed sheet was not made up and room smelled like mildew, disgusting not to mention the people in room next to me had their front door open and there were 3 girls (looked like hookers) standing in doorway and one man standing with them all smoking pot..... So we basically stayed in the tub all night didn't sleep, for 188 bux including the tax i am just gonna next time rent a jacuzzi for the weekend it is so sad this place was trash!! read more

ROACHES. wasn't expecting anything fancy of course and I've stayed in worse looking rooms. There was a blood stain under the bed which wasn't very surprising but while in the bed I found TWO ROACHES ON ME. One was on my leg and one was on my forehead (looking like it came out of my hair!!!). Left immediately! Wasn't there for even 2 hours. Old hag at the front desk wouldn't give us back a penny and was insisting it wasn't blood or roaches. I know what both look like. She didn't have any decency to at least charge us an hourly rate for the less than 2 hours we spent there. Nope took a full $190 for our hour and a half stay. Can't stress enough that I am not a fancy woman and was not looking for a fancy experience at all. Roaches were a dealbreaker. The miserable woman at the front desk could not have been more of a nightmare. Run away!! read more

Been coming here for years ! They actually started putting microwave & fridge ! Only down side is sometimes u will smell smoke or weed if u have a room in the hallway. But very clean. Many themed rooms jacuzzis mirrors on the ceilings over the bed which I looove lol. They have a coupon on the website too. But a tip don't sit in your car if your smoking if unless u want police to knock on ur window he asked if u had a room here I showed him the key and that was it he told me have a nice night but one time I got pulled over leaving here and got arrested for driving without a license so don't drive in there and less everything is good and up-to-date if we're doing anything illegal be careful read more

Honestly I don't like to come and post bad reviews but this could not be left unsaid. Me and my fiancé decided to have a last minute "stay cation" so we figured this would be okay for the 2 night stay we needed. We checked in around 9PM after a hectic day so honestly we didn't get a change to fully inspect things (Not like we should have to but still) we went straight to sleep. The next morning while getting dressed I noticed a stain on the bed underneath where the sheet had come off the bed (We had a round bed so the sheet easily slipped off as it didn't fit). After continuing to pull the sheet back and notice more stains I was immediately disgusted and had him come look at what I had found. It was multiple blood stains, most likely urine stains and who knows what else. And we slept on it! He went straight to the office and asked to speak to the manager. He was then asked why we didn't say anything last night, as if we were the ones to make the disgusting markings on the bed. Me and my fiancé are both in the medical field and those stains have been there for weeks/months easily. My fiancé asked for a refund and was told no all they can do was give him $40 back off of one night stay and a "upgraded room". Being that we had planned out our days around that area we settled for that (even though every part of me was disgusted). The fact that we had to show photo and video evidence to this person was a complete joke. The next day when we checked out we were told that the owner of the place is 92 years old (so basically they don't care that the place is infested with germs). The female staff members at the front desk were probably the best experience, they were completely on our side and didn't feel we were treated right. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO CONTRACT A DISEASE. The best part was when we were changing rooms the "maid" came in saw the stains on the bed and continued to make it as if it were brand new. Her manager had to come and tell her in Spanish that we took photos of everything and she needs to strip the bed because they have to change it again. Of course I know going into a place like this what it's used for but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't take the proper precautions to clean thoroughly after every stay. read more

Would rate 4.5 stars if motel policy was less restrictive and geared toward keeping regulars happy, rather than penalizing them for dirty towels and such. The signage all over the place is also a turn off and broken bathroom amenities you pay extra can kill the vibe. Management is great at dictating 'do nots', rather to customers and "do's" to staff. e. g. Customer shall not smoke or dirty soaking tub. Cleaning staff shall report any massage oil stain on towels so we can bill the customer extra on next visit and not put extra fee's into repairing whirlpool jets, steam showers, heat, or lights! If I ran this place, things would be in mint condition considering obvious lost business and empty parking lot most of the weekday/nights! Low rates with too many employees on staff may be the reason equipment remains broken. Hiring a few educated American gringo's should do the trick!!! read more

Affordable and easy. I've been here a few times in the simpler rooms, which are very par for the course considering the price. It's always been clean for us and the staff are easygoing. The most recent time we had an issue with the shower. Mainly, we couldn't turn it on! We approached the front desk about it, and they had a guy over to fix it in fifteen minutes. Turns out the fixture was jammed. He took care of it quickly and made sure we knew how to turn it on before he left. An inconvenience, but it was addressed without a hassle. On other review sites I've noticed a few people here and there who seem somewhat shocked about the nature of the motel once they get there. Guys- this place has heart shaped jacuzzis and they're very up front about it. If you don't know what that means, you live under a rock. read more

Don't bother staying here even for a minute. I pitty the front desk help for what they have to endure on a daily basis. On several occasions I have seen the front desk attendees be yelled at by all types of customers. There was an older blonde maid who was walking around like she was the general of the facility. She yelled and screamed at me and a couple other customers shortly after us renting a room. When I went to get my money back after being treated so rudely, the front desk employee had to call the owner and things only got worse. While speaking to the owner, I heard him ask the employee my race. I saw the look of embarrassment on the employees face. Why did my race matter when it comes to getting a refund. Usually enjoy my stay here however, Last weekend, that changed. The Jacuzzi had no cold water coming from the faucet so I had to run back and forth from the bathroom with an ice bucket to cool down the scalding water so we could use it. The shower also was cold until the hot water finally kicked in, then it was boiling hot, no in between. Also I opened a roll of toilet paper to have a Huge dead Beetle fall out. I told the guy at the desk about the water issue and his response made me feel like he thought I was lying, or something. He just kept saying something along the line of that this made no sense. No offer of a refund of any sort was offered. Wasted $150, for an overnight, on what was supposed to be a special night for my girlfriends' Birthday. Super Disappointed! read more

I have been going to this motel for a few years and always had a good experience then they had only Jacuzzi rooms or the interior rooms so I decided the interior room would be ok .We checked in after 3pm and its a 3 hr stay at 530 the phone started ringing and I was getting ready to leave then by 545 someone was banging on the door that it was time to leave . I handed them the key and remote then told them that it was very rude and not very discrete which is what this motel originally stood for needless to say I will be going to the Hollywood in farmingdale which has similar amenities and no one will bang on my door while I'm still on the clock goodbye cmi ! read more

I have been coming here for years. I checked in and ran out for a bit and when I got back to my room the door was wide open, and the maids cart was in my room. I was not due to check out and the maid, who didn't speak a word of English wouldn't leave because she couldn't understand me, wasting my time. So I call the front desk who gives me a number to call. I assume this was management. They told me that they'd call me back, wasting more of my time. All they would offer me was an extra hour, even though they had wasted so much of my paid time. Have been going to The Commack motor inn for over 30 years when I went there for a hot tub for two days that had no hot water for the hot tub after the first day I went to your office at 11:30 P.m. and they told me that they knew about the problem that they would fix it tomorrow well tomorrow came and fixed it at 5:30 PM and then by 7 PM had no hot water again when I went back to the office same story they knew about it couldn't do anything right now I was the only customer in that area I went back to the front desk at 6:30 AM to explain to them that it was still not fixed and told me that if I wanted they would change my room and put me in a regular room but not give me any compensation but told me if I wanted a regular room I would have to take out my luggage from the Hot tub room and go back in to the office give them the key and then go to the regular room I told him I would like to talk to the manager and he said the manager would be in at 10 AM when I called at noon time the manager was off that day I went in the following day and the manager Tommy hold on without knowing she did not put me on hold spoke to the owner as I was on the phone listening to the conversation she was having with the owner the owner said cats there was no way he's going to give me my money back he didn't know for two days had no hot water and had to put all the luggage and close in the parking lot and to go get a regular room after he got cursing while she was there and I could hear his conversation with her there was no way he was giving me my money back if you wanted anything he would give me a $25 credit for the next time I came back after paying $270 for a Hot tub that had no hot water why would I even think about going back for $25 credit to think that this is how they keep customers after going there over 30 years after hearing the cursing over the phone while he was talking to the manager once again forgot to put the phone on hold so I heard every conversation he said when I asked the manager to put him on the phone and when she asked him to take the phone call he also cursed and said he was not going on the phone to talk to me seems that all he's interested in is getting his money and if anything happens he's not responsible for anything at all All I can say is that if he's going to keep that attitude with people coming in there are other places that people can go to and I think they should I feel bad for everyone that works there from the front office that try to do the right thing and said they hands were tied I would have to talk to the manager i'm sure the owner must be very abusive verbally just from the way he was talking about me to the manager and he was very abusive to her read more

i stayed for 2 nights in a non smoking room. my blanket had cigarette burn holes in it. my shower got cold multiple times amd when i called to hve it fixed it took almost an hour and the front desk was telling me not to be angry. like i didnt pay $200 to sleep with a holey blanket and shower in the cold. on top of that theres a small hole in the wall near the sink like really?? cleaning staff doesnt speak english so when you get locked out the maid standing outside your room wont understand you when you ask for a key so in the cold had to walk all te way to the front desk. everytime i come here the staff is so poor at doing things. hole in the blanket an the wall and the showers cold? and i dont get an extra hour to shower or get my money back, sounds like robbery to me. i missed my bus because i couldnt shower and get out by checkout so i now hve to checkout an wait at whitecastle an hour for another bus. only nice thing i can say is the heat worked well. read more
