I stayed here for a work trip so unfortunately, it slipped my mind to take any photos. However, I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. Checking in was a breeze & that staff was friendly! The room was very clean & tidy upon arrival. If you're packing light there won't be a problem because they offer full size toiletries like; shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, lotion. A hair dryer is also available that even comes with the diffuser attachment! The shades can be drawn with an electric panel on the wall to keep the sun out. My room did not have closet space but did come equipped with an ironing board, iron, multiple dresser drawers & garment hooks. Outlets are a plenty for charging all of your devices while the tv offers a few free cable channels alongside streaming services you can log into. The tv even had my name on it when I came in, very welcoming. You can keep cold items in the mini fridge & heat them up in the microwave that's included. I didn't get a chance to check out the amenities but I did experience the breakfast included all days of my stay. They offer a variety of hot & cold breakfast items. Coffee is available 24/7 by the lobby & there is a small hotel shop with snacks & beverage offerings. I downloaded the app which was so convenient when it came to the room key, it's digital through the app! Overall, my stay was super comfortable & cozy. Loved it here! read more

They have bed bugs!!! getting the children ready for bed. We felt something crawling on us. It was a bug.... not just any bug a BED BUG!!! We picked up and left right away. Going to the front desk to make them aware and was disregarded. No I'm sorry. I asked for a refund and was told to speak to the manager in the morning. We left at 2am with exhausted children! No manager was in when I called. Never got a refund and was refused a refund!!! At the very least maybe a partial refund. It's BED BUGS! SOMETHING THAT CAN BE BROUGHT HOME!!! I was very pleasantly surprised with the Hampton Inn in Commack. The room was very clean, breakfast was hot, not the full scope of what is typically offered (may just be pre COVID) but they had waffles, eggs, meat, yogurt, fresh whole fruit, juice machine, bagels, etc. every staff member we encountered was very pleasant. They had a pack and play available for our little one which was great. I did also check for bed bugs (had them years ago and am very cautious now) and found no evidence. The downsides of our stay were: Sign is a bit hard to find, and if you are making a left it can be a challenge as there is a stop sign, not a light. Pool was closed in early August 2023. Seems to have been closed for a long time. I did contact Priceline (who I booked with) and they called the hotel to verify and provided us with a 20% refund. Bed was very soft--we melted right into it and our quality of sleep was not great. read more

This hotel is very close to Memorial Sloan Kettering, where my disabled son is being treated for stage 4 cancer. I called the hotel to ask questions about the pool & make sure it would be open prior to booking our stay in January & was assured it would be open. I took my son here for his birthday for 2 nights so that he could swim in between his treatments at MSK. Y'all, the pool wasn't heated. In NY in JANUARY. We attempted to go in but it was like arctic cold, seriously the coldest water I've ever been in. Unswimmable, which is why I never saw another guest in it either. I didn't complain during our stay bc I didn't want to get upset in front of my son. Obviously our family is going through a LOT right now & even if they did have heat there was no way to get this pool to a decent temp during our short stay. When I received the "how was everything" survey after our stay, I filled it out & told them about what happened, about how I called & asked questions about the pool & how they left out the fact that it was a freezing cold unheated pool that was unusable. Told them that my son is disabled, has cancer, loves hotels w indoor pools. The survey asked if I would like to be contacted. I answered yes & nobody ever contacted me. I called the hotel & left a voicemail for the manager explaining what happened & he did not call me back. So, if you love pools that are too cold to go in, deceptive front desk staff who will leave out important information to get you to stay there and absolutely zero customer service or compassion for a kid with incurable cancer, the Hampton Inn in Commack is for you. the hotel is heavily under construction at the entrance which kinda made me regret my booking with them. Checked in and given a room on the 5th floor-it appeared to be a refurbished room with two very comfy queen beds-a very nice room! clean, good internet, good ice machines, water bottle fillers on the 1st floor. Strange type of closet, but no big deal. Only had 2 towels in the room for 3 adults-called for more and instantly there was a knock at the door with the towels. Breakfast is included- big selection of eggs, hash browns, bacon, pancakes, etc. Fabulous all day/night diner next door. Great location, but not noisy. We would defiantly stay here again. Tiny looking indoor pool-do not book for this feature. Housekeeping staff very friendly and happy. read more

If I had known the hotel was under renovation it would not have been selected. I wish it was disclosed on the Hilton app when booking. The hotel was getting the update it desperately needs. Not sure if the weird closet (wall) can be changed but the soil furniture will hopefully be replaced. The large mirror on the wall at the end of the bed was interesting . Hopefully they will go to the keyless app room entry because the room key cards keep demagnetizing. The all day coffee and breakfast buffet is always a good start to the day. read more

This place is horrible. Do not ever stay here. On TripAdvisor there are so many bad reviews on this place. Wish I would have seen before staying here. First off the front desk is rude, unhelpful, useless. Calls of noise complaints made to the front desk of unaccompanied children running around the hallways all night knocking on doors, screaming were never addressed. No one ever came to look into the complaint. There's obviously no security in the hallways or they would see these unruly kids. So if a no security hotel is your thing. Have at it. The offer a crappy complimentary breakfast not worth it. Don't stay here. Did I mention not to stay here! There isn't a single positive thing about this place. read more

I'm surprised by the negative reviews. The hotel is undergoing an upgrade, but it didn't interfere with my sleep, comfort, or sense of aesthetics. (Perhaps my room was already renovated; when checking in, you might want to ask for one that is.) My bed was comfortable. The wall-mounted television was larger than what we get in other hotels. (Sorry, I forgot to snap photos.) The shower was strong, the maids efficiently tended to rooms, plenty of parking, quiet at night, friendly staff, all-day coffee...... really, what more does a person need?! If you responded, "I need good closet space," this hotel may not be for you. At first glance, I didn't see an area to hang our clothes. Then I realized that there were pegs behind the curtain in what is a makeshift "closet" near the windows. It didn't bother me for our two night stay, but for some, it could be off-putting. Breakfasts were adequate -- they're never more than that at Hampton Inns -- but there's a diner in front of the property if you want a more substantial meal. read more

Our stay was for 3 nights- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, check out Monday- we had family visiting and thought since we don't have central air at home, we would stay at a nice hotel local to home so everyone would be comfortable. For three nights I spent $957.49 - which was something I had to think twice on, but everywhere else local was booked. We checked in late Friday night- we were placed in room 110. When we got into the room it was warm, so we turned the AC down to 68 degrees and the rooms temperature did come down a bit, however around 2am, it was very warm... uncomfortably warm. My boyfriend left the room and went to the front desk where he spoke to a gentleman, later confirmed to be the night manager. When my boyfriend explained how warm it was the night manager responded with - there was nothing they could do, but suggested my boyfriend take a wet wash cloth and put it on his head()... he ended up leaving the hotel that night bc it was extremely warm. In the morning, I spoke to Miss Judy at the front desk. Miss Judy was kind and empathetic towards the situation and was a little stunned when I told her what had transpired. Miss Judy was able to explain that the AC units work by sensors- and that's why the AC turned off bc no one was moving around. She was also able to move us into another room, room 309, which she allowed us to look at first... the ac worked fine so we agreed to change the room. Saturday during the day, we were out of the room all day. Came back to the room around 4/430 to change, then left the room for dinner. Around 830 we arrived back to the new room and found a puddle and a wet carpet with NO explanation of where it came from. I made a call to the front desk to which they sent a porter to come look at it. The porter showed up relatively quick with a handful of towels. He checked the refrigerator, the wall that was shared with the ice machine and the rooms above ours and could not explain where the leak came from. He then covered the wet carpet and floor with a bunch of towels. He said he would have maintenance come in the morning to clean it up. He did offer another room change, which we declined bc it was already late and we were already in bed. (And honestly I was a little annoyed, when you pay $957 you expect there to be no issues) He asked us what time we were going to be free from the room so he could plan on having the maintenance team come and clean the room... to which we said 9. Sunday morning, we wake up and as promised free from the room by 830! And we stayed out of the room all day. We came back to the room at 830 to find the same towels on the floor.... Soaked. No one had come to the room. At this point, we were sleeping and checking out Monday morning, and I was so annoyed I couldn't be bothered to communicate my disbelief- I was too upset and knew nothing positive or constructive would come from what I had to say. I have never been so disappointed with a stay at a hotel. I have never experienced buyer remorse like this- there are definitely other hotels in the immediate areas that are cheaper and you get more for your money. If it wasn't for Miss Judy this would have been a 1 star rating. read more

Terrible DOT NOT STAY HERE. Worst hotel experience ever. My kids who eat everything said the eggs were the worst ever. The bathroom floor had hair all over it. The hallway temperature was so hot many guests felt they would pass out waiting for the elevators. Was told by front desk we could cancel one night and even got email confirmation ahead of time. after we left hotel, found we got additional charge for night we didn't stay that was even more then the group rate. Tried to explain to manager Mary Ann who screamed and interrupted without listening to what occurred. She did apologize that we were misinformed by her staff, she said they should not have been able to change that reservation but she was still not removing the charge. I came here because I ha Continuing Ed credits with a study group I am apart of. we had one of the rooms in the basement there was no wifi. and the service in the basement was not very strong. the food that they served was your typical continental breakfast but it was good. the silverware was clean and the air was pumping. our speaker did not have any issues withe audio visuals and the set up when i arrived, some other places i have been to that is always an issue. read more

The tv is not a smart TV, which is okay but the problem was that it didn't have an HD wire so the resolution of the image was terrible. The pool area needs repainting. I liked this hotel. It was very last minute that we had to fly to New York. We rented a car and drove in the snow to the hotel. (I was there in December). They have a little driveway so we were dropped off by our driver in front and he went and parked in the parking lot. There were either no rooms with double beds available or they didn't have rooms with double beds. I had to share a room and we didn't want to share a bed but then we realized that the couch folded out into a really nice bed. The rooms were pretty big and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The room was very clean. Since we had to go so last minute, I didn't have my computer to do my work on. However, there was a computer in the front of the hotel that I was able to use for free. They had a nice breakfast buffet in the morning. They had a make your own waffles which was cool. The orange juice was really watery. I had to throw it out. I could not drink it. The hotel was also not too far from CVS which was cool because I like shopping there when I need something on vacation. read more

Let's just say this is the first time I have checked for bed bugs in a hotel. I'm here for almost a week for work and was relieved when I heard I was booked at a Hampton Inn. Not only was the room in very worn condition (I use that conservatively) but the beds are horrendous. The mattresses are like bricks and the bedspreads are thick comforters that don't look like they are easy to wash. After wiping everything down with Clorox wipes, I headed out for dinner. Upon my return, I asked the front desk attendant about the beds. I said, "don't you have the heavenly beds? I have two bricks in my room." He said they had recently replaced the mattresses and that all the rooms are the same. The best he could do was offer an egg crate mattress topper. First of all, what???? What reputable chain "hotel" offers egg crate toppers as a matter of course? Uh, doesn't that tell you something? About 15 minutes later I received said topper. I dropped it on the bed I am not using and immediately noticed several (long) hairs. And stains. This is absolutely disgusting. So, after a day of traveling for work and looking forward to a nice, clean, comfy bed to sink into, I had to strip my bed and remake it with the stained, hairy mattress topper. Needless to say, I'm going to do whatever I can to get out of this dump that doesn't deserve the Hampton Inn/ Hilton brand. I would NEVER stay here again. #horrible #disgusting #hamptoninn read more

The shittiest high price hotel I've stayed in over a half century of business travel. Dark, dingy, ice cold lobby introduces you to the "newly renovated" place. TVs are set for liberal/woke propaganda. Station guide doesn't work. You have to call the front desk to find FOX News. Only one elevator works and is annoyingly slow. There are no rooms with bathtubs to unwind. No pool either. One star is deserved for decent breakfasts. Hilton should be ashamed of this property that charges twice what it deserves. read more

Great hotel. Very modern, clean & affordable. The breakfast is included, everyday from 6-10 with a wide variety. Stayed here for 2 nights & they always mix up the eggs & meat each morning. Plenty of selection: Oatmeal, cereal, danishes, juice, coffee, waffle iron, etc. The nicest part of the rooms would be the bathroom (very modern & spacious) & the HD television. Beds are fine & there is an average amount of space. Free WiFi too. If you're in this random part of Long Island like we were, this place is what you would need to get by for a couple of nights. read more

This hotel is under renovation and it looks like a complete dump. The entire facility should have been shut down. The elevator has panels duct taped, construction dust is everywhere. The paint is peeling in the pool area on the walls as well as the inside of the pool. The hallways stink of stale cigarettes. There's no way that I would have agreed to pay $225 for the night if I had known that I would be bringing my children into a dilapidated looking hotel. This will be the last time I ever stay here. Don't go. Staff was rude. Pool doesn't work - told it has been broken for 2 years and won't be fixed. Place is dirty - walls, carpet, breakfast area. It is supposed to be under renovation. But what I saw was no work being done. WiFi is spotty at best. We kept getting booted off and had to log back in - and this was within only a few minutes each time. Can I mention how rude the front desk and management staff was - they called me irresponsible for requesting a medical sharps container - told me it wasn't their problem and to leave my diabetic needles on the dresser. I have mixed feelings about how I should rate this hotel because the hotel staff are so friendly, the rooms are clean, the cleaning service is efficient and leaves the room well stocked, breakfast offers great choices (made-to-order waffles, scrambled & hard boiled eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, an oatmeal bar etc.), a pool, and fresh baked cookies at 6 pm...... but, the beds are so hard and uncomfortable and the pillows are so cheap and flat and the sheets are rough and cheap. Since a hotel's main goal is to provide a great nights sleep than it stands to reason that the owners would invest in quality bedding, sadly they chose to skip this vital detail. I love everything else about this hotel even the conveniently located diner next door that serves great food. Sadly, each night trying to sleep was a miserable experience. Excellent staff! I give this a 2 star because the bed is so hard and uncomfortable. Most of the time you stay in a hotel is on the bed and this should be an investment of comfort for the paying guest . I am a flight attendant and have stayed in hundreds of hotels. This bed is the WORST I have ever stayed on. The breakfast has a nice selection and as others have said, the diner across the parking lot is good. The hotel offers free drop off van service to anywhere nearby, and since most guests have a car, it's always available! I did not have a car so the only walkable destinations are the gas station for beer and the Premier Diner for average fare. I had the free van take me to the LIRR station to get to Manhattan, and to the Long Island Airport. read more

It had been totally refurbished and it is just outstanding; nice rooms and furniture, good breakfast and gym...and indoor pool; excellent service, clean. this is now our go-to when visiting family.
