Note that our visit was mid-afternoon Labor Day 2025; though the restaurant wasn't very busy, maybe the holiday affected the service. I'm always suspicious when a server doesn't write down our order, but usually it's unfounded. Unfortunately, this time my concern was justified. Hubs ordered a Chicken Philly sandwich but was served a Steak Philly. The food-runner seemed indifferent when he brought us our food, and it was a solid 10 minutes before our server came by again to check on us. All she offered was an apology. And later, hubs had to wave down our server for to-go boxes because she never came back to ask if we needed anything. And yes, we were charged for the Philly sandwich. Six of us met at the Tiki Bar and Grill and had a great time. Our service was excellent. My cousin said the shrimp tacos were excellent and had lots of shrimp in them. Three of us had burgers which were also very tasty. The prices are reasonable. The setting is a small marina with lodging, an onsite store, and dining. Took a last minute trip to the area with someone who owns a property in the area. Because of the low key area, the only decent restaurant was The Tiki Bar and Grill. Not vegetarian friendly but the vibe was nice. I wish they had more options because the drinks were good, the view was nice and the place was busy on a Saturday. It's an hour drive from where I live. I could see myself taking a drive on a weekend and renting one of the beautiful places around the restaurant. The food, not the best, even the cheese quesadilla was boring and so was the appetizers. We've enjoyed coming down and staying at Roland Martins resort. In fact several years ago my husband had The Tiki Bar and Grill fish tacos and dreamt about them for years. The service is great. The atmosphere has a positive vibe. But, this week we've eaten here twice and both times the food was mid. Quesadillas weren't crisp just floppy and soooo greasy. The fries my son had with his sandwich followed suit. My husband ordered his favorite fish tacos they weren't the five stars as he had before but would be a four . Yet it's 9:30pm and they legitimately just told me "WE'RE CLOSED" hmmm, I can understand it's probably a slow night but turning customers away because you want to go home. Thank you Yelp, for directing me to this enjoyable place. I found it while searching for a place to grab a bite and enjoy a cold drink on my Sunday afternoon ride. It's waterfront dining being on a canal right off Lake Okeechobee. The premises boasts an open area, with a big wrap around bar in the middle with lots of table seating all around. As you enter, off to the far right, there is a small stage area where live entertainment performs. I ordered their "Lake O' Gator Tail, a 6oz serving of fresh gator tail, cut up, battered, and fried to perfection and served with cocktail sauce ($12.00). For my drink I chose a cold Mich Ultra on draft. It was approximately 15 minutes after ordering when my gator tail arrived. It was tasty and delicious! If you've never had gator before, it's similar to chicken, but chewy and has a very good taste. The provided cocktail sauce heightened the flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service wasn't the friendliest, but they seemed efficient. I enjoyed some live entertainment, while eating, by a talented lady on guitar (sorry I didn't catch her name). Service was very nice. We went very late, so there wasn't much happening. Our waitress was helpful, although she did disappear for a little bit. Otherwise, I found her to be great. The food leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a fish sandwich and it was alright. Felt too soft, too transparent. It was almost uncooked? I'm not sure, I just wasn't a fan of the taste. Easy to get to by boat, right off the ICW through an easy lock with lots of boat parking. It's a piece of old Florida popular with locals, fisherman and boaters. Great staff, and I loved the food. Chicken wing app and shrimp and grits were amazing and enough for 2 meals. It's open air so there are mosquitos but the bartender has bug spray on hand. They have entertainment also. It was super loud with music before the live music started to where we couldn't communicate with my dining partner. Inedible mahi-mahi, cold and over cooked came with a rice pilaf that was hard and cold. I sent it back and waited a while and then finally just cancelled my order. We've been stopping here for years on our way from Lauderdale to moore haven. It's a cool little outdoor dive bar on a canal that is very popular with bikers. Food is pretty darn good. Again this is not Ruth's Chris. But it has good burgers, tasty wings and cold beer. Not sure what else you want from someplace like this. And yes people, gator is chewy. That's just how it is. So don't complain about it In your reviews. Service is usually very good. But again it's an outdoor swamp bar and grille. So the occasional surly bartender is kinda necessary. We were there recently and they were taking the proper precautions with the virus. Tables were spaced far apart, staff was wearing masks and the bar area was closed. This place is horrid. The host are all angry faces not friendly at all. Service is crap. Our server double charged tips then added insta g gratuity on the bill after we ran our cards. The local country singer that was their singing, was so horrible, I think they would have done better with a jukebox, or just looped music. I have been to this restaurant twice. First, it felt like I was inside a swamps because of the bugs a lot of bugs. I couldn't finish my food or drink due to the amount of flying mosquitoes inside this place. The servers were not very friendly, and they made me feel that I was in Miami or NYC. Man it's Clewiston and you work at Tiki... Food was okay nothing special. First time I got their Mahi-mahi plate and to be honest I couldn't finish it because it stinks really bad, don't take me wrong I love fish and I'm a fish eater, but their fish wasn't cooked right, and it's not worth the $30. The second time I got the grilled shrimps tacos and they were alight, just make sure to squeeze a lot of lime on the before you eat them lol read more

I've been here a couple times on group rides and I can't say this is a tiki bar. It's a cool biker meet up and bar/grill but other than that, maybe you have to come at different hours of the day. I'm a big fan of gator and always try it anytime I see it on the menu. I've had the tacos and the app here and wasn't really impressed, it tastes more like boneless chicken lol. The wait staff here isn't very friendly or helpful, which kind of deters from the experience. We all decided to just eat somewhere else and take a ride to a local taco place after meeting here. Ok this place is something out of a movie! I love it. We needed to find a place to meet family that was half way between Naples and West Palm Beach. The Tiki Bar is literally at the mid point. We met here during Covid and it was the perfect place because it is wide open with a breeze through the restaurant. It was raining out so we were inside and outside at the same time. The fish is all fresh off the boat. The prices can't be beat. The service was terrific. The bathrooms are brand new and spotless. It is a rough and tumble place, filled with locals and just fun. Thieves! My husband and I visited this restaurant along with my brother and his wife. The food was OK. Not great. Our server was terrible. My husband had to ask twice for water. She never came back after our food came so my husband had to chase her down again to get more drinks. She was easy to find. She was vaping at the bar. Her tip reflected our service. She added $20 to the credit card slip. When the manager was confronted about it, she had the nerve to question whether alcohol was a factor and I just didn't remember how much I tipped. The blue long islands were perfect, though I wish they served them in bigger cups. We sat at the bar and the seating was comfortable. It was cold and windy out so they dropped the screening to keep it more comfortable since it's an outside spot. They had live music and the quality was great compared to what I usually experience.
