If you're cruising around Lake Okeechobee and need a good spot to chill, grab a bite, and take in the view, Scotty's Tiki Bar in Clewiston is the place. It's got that perfect laid-back, open-air vibe with a rustic charm that makes you want to stay a while. The staff is friendly and welcoming, always a plus when you're on the road. Everything I've tried on the menu has been solid, and the portions are huge, so you won't be leaving hungry.

Lights on but turning people away 1.5 hrs before the actual closing time posted.

So why am I sitting in the parking lot of this place upset. Well because the site and yelp all say they close at 11pm. Yet it's 9:30pm and they legitimately just told me "WE'RE CLOSED" hmmm, I can understand it's probably a slow night but turning customers away because you want to go home. Maybe we should do that at all public establishments. Turn all customers away when we're tired. Well because TGI Friday's, McDonald's, Samuri and other mom and pop restaurants and dives would lose money, customers and eventually just stop existing when they could t be relied upon to keep the hours they post. Oh well the drinks aren't that great either guess i could say

Came here with my grandpa for some Easter lunch and the food was delicious! I got the gator tacos and he got the wings. The service was great and with it being on the water it wasn't too hot :) Look forward to popping in again sometime!

Lake "O" Gator Tail .... Excellent!

Thank you Yelp, for directing me to this enjoyable place. I found it while searching for a place to grab a bite and enjoy a cold drink on my Sunday afternoon ride. It's waterfront dining being on a canal right off Lake Okeechobee. The premises boasts an open area, with a big wrap around bar in the middle with lots of table seating all around. As you enter, off to the far right, there is a small stage area where live entertainment performs. I ordered their "Lake O' Gator Tail, a 6oz serving of fresh gator tail, cut up, battered, and fried to perfection and served with cocktail sauce ($12.00). For my drink I chose a cold Mich Ultra on draft. It was approximately 15 minutes after ordering when my gator tail arrived. It was tasty and delicious! If you've never had gator before, it's similar to chicken, but chewy and has a very good taste. The provided cocktail sauce heightened the flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service wasn't the friendliest, but they seemed efficient. I enjoyed some live entertainment, while eating, by a talented lady on guitar (sorry I didn't catch her name). I'm glad I found this place and plan to return. It's certainly worth your while to check out.

Always a good place to drop in if you are traveling up and down highway 27 in Clewiston Florida, very laidback atmosphere and the Tiki Bar sits on Lake Oakcobee, it's always a pleasure coming here and having a bite to eat with a drink, service is always great and the food is always good....

Strong drinks and good food. Ate here three times while staying here. The bartenders are fast and friendly. Nachos basket- huge! But I wasn't a fan of the chili on it Cheese quesadilla- basic but good Gator tail- loved the chewiness of this Grilled shrimp tacos- awesome with huge shrimp Okee burger- pretty good decent burger but nothing to rave about French fries- really good taste like McDonald's fries Drinks- strong, large draft selection as well Great outdoor place to eat busy during dinner and we sat at the bar each time. Around 8 or 9 the mosquitoes will come out they have bug spray on hand

You enter an immersive world that really outshines any tiki bar to which I've ever been. The magic radiates out of every nook and cranny. That was complimented by our bartender, Billy, knocking out some perfect killer classics, like a real Mai Tai, and Navy Grog, that, post the 1950s became kind of sugar filled, over-the-top mockeries of the Tiki cocktail arts. No mockery here. Just the old school magic. It's a very analog, and thankfully honest, unhipster revival for a generation who knows not of Bali Hai, Don the Beachcomber, the Mai Kai, and San Francisco's once-great, now seedy Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, at the Fairmont Hotel, on Nob Hill. The crowd, including the regulars, were a lot of fun. In all, a really awesome evening! Five stars, for all of that, and a sixth for the memories.

Which is the first time I have ever had this issue with an outdoor restaurant. So I ordered my food to go. Before ordering, I was told it would take about 30-35 minutes. It actually took, 65 minutes to get my BLT and my father's Big Al Chicken Hogie. The BLT was fantastic. Ranks in the top five ever. Super thick bacon, quality, lettuce, and tomato....nice bread. Highly recommended. My father sandwich was another story. It was like an alien trying to impersonate a cook, made it. Like whoever designed this sandwich had never actually seen or eaten one in their whole life. When you order a chicken Philly style sandwich, you just expect things to be a certain way. This awful sandwich was covered in raw, uncooked mushrooms and huge chunks of beef steak tomato. Looks like they took a huge tomato , cut it into 6 chunks and called it done. There was no mayo, bbq, or any form of condiment. Since we ordered it to go, we didn't know it was so bad until we got back to our hotel. If I had not had the BLT, there would be zero reason to return here. The BLT and friendly staff are the reason they get 3 stars instead of 1.
