A quick search on Yelp, and this bakery came up as the most recommended for breakfast. We arrived very early, it was 9AM on a Sunday and they had just opened. The place is in a small strip mall and has a couple of chairs outside as well. Inside it is pretty small, but you can immediately smell only good stuff of coffee, empanadas and other baked goods. We were hungry so ordered some beef and chicken empanadas , and guava patty's and instantly we were hooked. The food is so tasteful, seems so fresh and was much more impressive than other empanadas I have tried elsewhere. I went back in and ordered several more empanadas for our trip and even wanted to ship some back home, before my daughter asked me to settle down a bit. If you are in the area, this is a must visit place. Like my daughter later said "I will go to Ft. Myers again, just to visit Silva's"

When I handed him the coffee cup, he looked at me like he wanted me to wash it myself, and when I said "thank you," he didn't even respond. Total lack of respect for the customer. This personal needs to be taught.

I thought yo go w Philly cheesesteak first, but then I saw their Prime rib sandwich special $16 and got excited. The food came out quick ..the sandwich was to die for, plenty of juicy tender prime rib , sautéed onions and perfect amount of provolone, it was so juice that it didn't even really need the sauces it came with (creamy horseradish and consommé!) , for the side it was Dutch style potato salad ( omg sooo delish), a bottle of Grolsch was a perfect pair for this scrumptious meal. The service was friendly and attentive, and I was lucky to meet and chat with the owner Sharon who stopped by the table couple of times. Thank you for sharing your great story about immigrating to USA and starting your amazing business here. The meal was large so I took half home for dinner : )) I couldn't pass on their cherry vanilla ice cream in a chocolate cone-oh my !! What a pure cherrylicious delight!! There were cherries in every bite I had. Can't wait to go back and try other options on the menu.

My Puppy was in the Access Hospital in ICU next door to the Bakery and I wanted to treat the nurses to a sweet treat from Vickys! They customized a special platter for them and they loved it! They have the best coffee, freshest pastries and most delicious food! The bakery is spotless! They are all eager to assist with descriptions for their pastries and their menu. I also took home: coconut flan, flan cheesecake, chocolate eclairs and a cake soaked in syrup. All were fresh and delicious! The eclair was filled with vanilla custard and so amazing! Best coconut flan I've ever had! Not too sweet! Definitely order the Flan cheesecake! It's creamy and light at the same time! The pound cake in syrup is so similar to what I used to make as a Greek Desert! It was beyond delicious! Also not too sweet but rich and magical! I can't say enough about the beautiful pastries and service! Please go and feast your eyes on the beauty of handmade pastries! Try as many as you can!!! I highly recommend!

Although there was a line, it moved quickly. We decided to share a Cuban sandwich plus we each got a pastry for dessert. You order and pay at the register and pick up your order when they call your name at the other end of the counter. They have so many varieties of pastries, desserts, and cakes on display that's it is hard to choose. The Cuban sandwich was excellent. Slightly warm on pressed fresh Cuban bread. And the pork, ham, and cheese inside were very good as well. In fact, it was one of the better Cuban sandwiches we've had in quite awhile. For dessert, my husband got a guava and cheese pastelito. It's in the shape of a turnover. Not too sweet because the cheese tempers the sweetness of the guava. It is one of his favorites. I tried a chocolate Napoleon with merengue. The top layer had the chocolate glaze and there were thick meringue layers between each pastry layer. It was a bit gloppy and not the easiest to eat. Very sweet but good. I brought half home. Yes, they are a quite popular chain. But they have a pretty good and efficient system working at this location. And lots of staff proficient in both English and Spanish. I know we will be back.
