Hands down one of my favorite bars- it's beautiful, lots of space, amazing staff, and DELICIOUS BREWS! My first time at Common Space my date and I got into a game of Cards Against Humanity with a few bar tenders, soon more bar patrons joined in, needless to say it was a hilarious night and one I won't soon forget. I've been back since for a Green Saturday event. I had so much fun. They have the perfect setup to have an event like this. Everyone was friendly , food was amazing , great merch and even BETTER BEERS!! Loving the new PonyFight Club! I love Common Space Brewery! It's a great place to get a beer, celebrate a birthday, hangout - you name it! This is a pretty standard brewery here in socal, no air conditioning, doesn't serve food, but definitely has lots of seating (both patio and indoor) and has lots of games and really great beer. This place fits a sizeable group, and there's plenty of parking (but please, for the sake of the world and your insurance costs, don't drink and drive!) Great brewery in socal! read more

Fantastic! I was lucky enough to have my company host a virtual beer tasting session that was hosted by Gabe at Common Space. Gabe was excellent, he provided lots of knowledge about the brewing process and was a fantastic host. Came here with a friend recently. Great brewery with a lot of seating and reasonably priced. I'm used to SD breweries where prices are usually cheaper but for the area it was definitely reasonably priced. Another downside was there was limited selection of beers (only 4-7 choices). There is also a food vendor right next door, so if you feel like grabbing a quick bite to eat then there's one available. Definitely a good brewery for the area and is a great place to come check out if you're in the area. 4/5 stars. read more

First time here! I came here on a Saturday night around 9pm and it was a full house!! Big space, lots of seating! There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very chill place. There are games available such as Jenga, Uno, and bean bag tossing. A few TV's around the area. No food, but there is always a food truck in the front! I would definitely come back here. Some of these cashiers REALLY need to get their customer services skills readjusted. Not sure of his name but he was Caucasian, full mustache, beard and glasses seemed to be on edge or something because we were simply asking about the beers that could be taken to go and the the most passive aggressive attitude. The sign says "4 PK" (is that really a legit abbreviation for pack???) and all I asked was why does it say PK and he came off pretty rude for no reason. And again with my opinion on the place although it is a new spot to go to, it seems as if it's just a new hipster location that SMELLS OF GENTRIFICATION. read more

This place is super cute and definitely filled with good vibes and delicious food trucks! I don't usually drink beer, so I loved that this place offered flights. It's also awesome that they have an outside patio and choice to sit inside if you're cold. Another thing to note is that they have events happening throughout the week like game night and such. I actually came once when they had some sort of event where people were throwing axes. Trippy, yet pretty cool. Though with any positives, there are negatives right? Place is pretty easy to miss if you don't pay close attention to the small sign pointing into the parking entrance (especially easy to miss if you're getting there at night). Also, if you decide to come on a Friday... beware. It gets EXTREMELY packed. The first and only time I came on a Friday there was literally no parking and no space to sit or stand. Not sure if it was a one time thing or if every Friday is like that... either way I won't be testing it out so catch out me there on days other than Friday's (if I decide to drink beer). I came here over the weekend for the first time, and very impressed by this place. Upon turning into the parking lot, I saw the big inviting patio, the food vendor, and tons of people hanging out. I came with a group of friends who were sitting on the couches outside-perfect for our group with babies. One of my friends even told me they asked us to let us know if we needed anything for the babies, which I thought was a nice touch. I also noticed quite a few other babies and strollers so looks like this is the hangout spot for parents wanting to grab a brew. They had fans going so there was a good breeze inside, which was nice since it was a warm summer afternoon. This brewery is a nice size with plenty of space and seating both inside and out on the patio. Now onto the brews, there were so many great choices that I had a hard time picking. The little description of flavors next to each type of beer was very helpful. Out of the three beers we got to try, my hubby and I both liked the brut ipa and pale ale. I can't wait to come back here to hangout and try more brews. Highly recommend this place! read more

Ok positives first - their space is dope with an inside and outside patio that flows better than most breweries I've been to. They have a good size deck with bistro lightning and games. As for their beer - sorry folks it's just not up to par. With so many breweries opening you better come correct or not at all. LA Ale Works across the way and State Brewing have better beer for the same price. Hoping to visit and change my opinion but that's what it is for now. read more

stumbled (literally) across this gem on a double date night. hidden on the backside of El Segundo blvd is this glowing treasure trove of hoppy delight. the wide open and spacious patio area is the first thing you come across. very bright and welcoming. lots of good craft beer options that i can't quite recall at the moment, but, truly believe were delicious. easy parking options this late part of the evening, but, may present a problem during happy hour. cool spot that we may just have to stop by at again. read more

Excited to have these guys back open during COVID. Just went back for the first time since they were allowed to re-open and they are doing a FANTASTIC job. There is plenty of space to keep socially distant. The staff is all wearing PPE and being very courteous of the patrons. I've been to multiple restaurants, wineries, and breweries during COVID since the reopening and my experience from a safety and enjoyment standpoint at Common Space was by far the best. On the plus side, the space that Common Space lives in is great! The patio looked inviting, but it was like 100° outside, so we opted inside near a fan. There are games and enough space that our toddler was able to stretch out and enjoy herself without interrupting the adult-only groups. On the downside... The beer is just not worth the distance or price. If you're on the Westside or South Bay, you've got many more options closer to home with great selections. And schlepping deep into Hawthorne has to be part of your decision. If this was incredible (or even very good) beer, then I could see the appeal. My wife and I worked through two taste flights. The jasmine rice saison was tasty. The tart saison was tart, but without a real flavor behind it otherwise. The pale ale, west coast IPA, double IPA, and easy IPA are all interchangeable really. There was a foaminess (almost like soap bubbles) in the beer, and there wasn't much of the expected IPA flavor or bite. The double red had good flavor, but for that same foaminess. The Mexican Lager was our favorite of the bunch. But still not worth the price... A note to the owners: tasting flights are meant to be discounted price from individual taste pours. You can even reduce the size if that's your concern. New patrons want to get a sense of your offerings, and small tasters are our best way. read more

Everyone that's part of Common Space are truly welcoming, real cool & genuine folks. Feels like you've known them even though you've just met them. The atmosphere was wonderful!!! We are super excited to have another brewery in Hawthorne, we tried 4 different beers: Lime Lager, Strong Saison, Coffee Stout and Double Red. I really liked the coffee stout, it really taste like coffee. My husband loved the double red it had a lot of flavor while not being perfectly hoppy. read more

I came here to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends on a Saturday evening and we all had a blast. I called days ahead to see if they could reserve a table for me and Ben, their manager was very helpful. He was able to accommodate my group which was about 20 people and at my request he even provided us a tour of the brewery, Thanks Ben! The location is quite spacious, it has a big patio and additional space with seating inside. It's kid friendly, saw several families with young kids at the beginning of our evening. They had a taco guy and a bbq food truck that came later that night and both options were tasty. Overall it's a fun laid back place with friendly staff and good beer. I had an awesome time last night at Common Space--a space I didn't know existed until now! It's super close to my job. It was slightly hard to find initially but I did find it and I am happy that I did. Parking is located in the back of the building and it is plenty. It has a nice atmosphere and is sure to be a hot spot for the summer in this happy little corner of Hawthorne. I'm not a beer drinker so they let me sample a few beers and I must say that I'm in love with that sassy saison honey! Get into it! It's great for office parties, lounging after work or catching any games on any of their three large screened televisions. There are two lounging areas there and the open area that reminds me of my granny's back porch minus the beer. It's a very nice brewery with some nice friendly folk. One of my favorite local breweries. I love the staff here as they are super friendly and helpful, not snobby like some other places that start with an S and end with an Immzy's. The setup for ordering is simple: queue up at the two registers, place your orders, and pay now or keep the tab open. I love the rotating selection but still have not caught that elusive lime beer!! Maybe for the summer I'll catch it. IPAs still reign supreme but it's nice that they offer the helles and the pilseners as well. Lots of seating indoor and outdoor. Rotating food trucks.
