By the time he transferred to central he was severely neglected by Saint Anthony north , he had icu delirium, blood infection from an unnecessary catheter that travelled to his HEART AND PACEMAKER, over medicated, couldn't walk, couldn't talk, couldn't swallow, had lidocaine toxicity ( overdose?) underfed, (malnourished?) within 3 days at a different hospital, Saint Anthony central, he was walking again, swallowing, talking, icu delirium disappeared yet still in icu. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with CommonSpirit Health and their overall professionalism, particularly regarding billing and communication. In May 2023, I went to the hospital for an emergency visit. Eleven months later, in April 2024, I was back at the same hospital giving birth to my first child. At no point during my prenatal care, hospital stay, or delivery was I ever informed that I had an outstanding balance from the prior visit. There was no discussion in person, no attempt to address it while I was actively receiving care, and no clear communication that there was an issue. Then in October 2024, the account was turned over to Professional Finance Company. On July 8, 2025...almost two and a half years after the original emergency visit, I was formally served and sued while I was five months pregnant with my second child. Being summoned during pregnancy over a bill I was never made aware of in person felt incredibly stressful and insensitive. To make matters worse, when I was pregnant with my second daughter (born September 2025), scheduling my C-section took four weeks because labor and delivery staff repeatedly told me I needed a referral... even though I already had one. The back-and-forth and lack of coordination during such an important time was exhausting and unnecessary. I am grateful that both of my daughters were delivered safely, and I will always be thankful for that. However, outside of the actual delivery care, my experience with billing practices, communication, and administrative professionalism has left me deeply disappointed and displeased. Patients deserve transparency, consistency, and compassion, especially during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. I am currently having to defend myself in court over a bill I was never clearly notified about during my care, which has added unnecessary stress during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Had a doctors appointment 5/1. had to fast for blood test. after The doctor was done I was told to go down to main leave to get my blood drawn. i went to the lapcorp office and checked in. I was told it would be a 5 hour wait. 5 hour wait for someone that is fasting? 5 hour wait for someone that needs to go back to work? I went back up to my doctors office and told them what was going on. the reply I received was. " nothing we can do lapcorp is not apart of us" sorry to tell you yes they are. you send Patience To labcorp then they are your problem. I was then told to come back in june to the new office to have my blood drawn. I took my problem to the main desk at st anthony north and was told the same thing. This just goes to show that patient care does not exist. The doctors office doesn't care nor does the hospital. Only money. I visited this ER 5 days ago and was treated for mild dehydration and checked for other things. I thought the care was good then. The pain in my Chest I was experiencing went away with hydration. With my return and additional symptoms and additional pain so bad I couldn't sleep they have not treated it and essential sending me on my way. I feel that ERs are inadequately staffed to deal with potential serious bleeds which I've had in my area where the pain is located. I'm concerned this is like a mess I saw before. read more

Colby (Jack Cheese) Hoeing is a terrible healthcare recruiter. He is very unprofessional because he does not communicate in a timely manner. After you take time out of your day to respond to his email where he asks you a ton of questions that you've already answered on your application, he will disregard and ignore your email and not respond. Then, a week later you'll get the EXACT same email from him because he does not know how to check his email. I made it clear to him that I had already responded and answered all of his questions. He must have taken it personally because eventually, after waiting weeks you'll realize that he rejected your application and didn't have the decency to communicate to you. Don't waste your time applying here. They pretend like they need people to apply and then waste their time and can't make it clear that they've rejected the applicant. read more

I was transported to this ER by ambulance due to a seizure. The nurse that came into initially left the computer open. Everyone in the ER was listed with why they were there. I called them in to tell them and the nurse was joking and laughing that he didn't close the computer. Then my blood was taken, but I wasn't told why or what the next steps were going to be. After waiting 3 hours my husband asked for someone to talk to us. They told us they had forgotten to send my blood to the lab. Finally they came in to have me sign a paper, but still didn't tell me what the next steps were going to be. I looked at the document and they had done a pregnancy test and that is all. When I asked again what was next and that I don't know why I would sign the paper without knowing everything the nurse left dramatically pulling the curtain closed. When I requested to leave that same nurse took the vein access port out of my arm very roughly. The blood from her taking it out so badly soaked through the bandages almost immediately and she just laughed and said you will be fine. We ended up leaving only to be berated by the front desk staff about insurance information which I didn't have on hand because I arrived via ambulance with nothing. I know a couple of people that work in different parts of the campus and they told me that I should choose another ER because this one is terrible. They are right. read more

I visited Common Spirit St Anthony Hospital tonight experiencing severe abdominal pain and nausea that has been ongoing for months but became suddenly acutely much worse. I was checked in and presented the insurance staff person with my ID card, both insurance cards for Medicare Advantage United Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield supplemental. The staff person informed me that they didn't accept my Medicare although it's paid up in good standing and has covered ER visits in the past since I began using it 9 years ago. I was asked to pay a $350 copay which of course I refused. When I asked why I was being charged $350 she gave no response. This is the kind of crap going on today with money grubbing hospital. Needless to say I won't bother going to this hospital again. read more

I was taken to the back pretty quick but after that they pretty much ignored me. The doctor walked in, introduced himself, got paged, and never came back. I am also pregnant and they didn't even do some kind of ultrasound to check on my baby. They discharged me without even having a proper examination or conversation with the doctor. With the staffing shortage in mind, the nurses and doctors were super helpful during my emergency c-section. Not what I had planned but was prepared since my baby's was breech and what I had talked to the doctors ahead of time about. It was a busy day when I gave birth. 6 other babies arrived the same day after mine since we had come at midnight. The staff was super supportive and really made an unplanned experience as best as it could be. Postpartum was super helpful. I saw nurses, doctors basically every few hours when I was due for medicine. Nights and weekends seems to be light on staff or when the most call in however the nurse on staff tried their best to make sure everything was on time. Room service seemed to be really on top of it as well. The food was typically quick unless they were backed up, and the food was hot. The hospital even though it is under construction is still pretty nice, and the room was not bad for being there for three days. read more

NEVER and I do mean never go to rhia hospital for help. My daughter went there for help because she was intoxicated and they didn't help her. They kept her like a criminal from 7pm and was still there thenext morning at 9pm. They never put her on an IV or gave her food. This morning she calles because they wouldn't gi e her a tampon. They let her just bleed in her clothes. That is not a way to yreat anyone. They made my son leave her and wouldn't let him take her anything to drink. Maybe it's because she is hispanic. My ankle surgery was at Centura and I couldn't be happier with the entire process. Scheduling was very convenient and filling out paperwork in advance online saved a lot of time. The pre-op instructions were clear and I appreciated the nurse calling to explain everything before my big day. At the hospital, checking in was a breeze and within a few minutes I was already in a room and getting into a gown. My pre-op nurse Donna (I'm pretty sure that was her name) was awesome. She was so funny, attentive, and really put me at ease. I absolutely loved her bedside manner. Unfortunately, the surgery before mine was running over, but Donna helped pass the time with jokes and cool stories. (Ask about the prune story, haha!) My anesthesiologist, Dr. Flower, was great. Before surgery, we talked through my concerns as an asthmatic and my uneasiness with being fully sedated. For once, I didn't have a wrecked throat or lots of wheezing from general anesthesia. Surgery itself went flawlessly and the post-op nurse (Tiaria?) was fantastic. Apparently, I didn't get the pizza I repeatedly asked for while rousing from anesthesia, haha! But I was well taken care of with more appropriate drinks and snacks. Hands down, Centura provided the best surgical care I've ever had. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had the worst experience in the ED this weekend. I am a RN and worked at a level 1 trauma center for 14 years and I'm in shock of how poorly I was treated. The nurse and doctor were dismissive and cold. They never obtained a full health history. They gave me pain medication and did a CT scan. Nothing acute came up on the CT scan (which I was grateful for) and they couldn't get me out of there quick enough. My discharge instructions talked about symptoms I didn't have and told me to take meds that are contraindicated in a chronic health issue I have. One they would have known about if they got my history. Im so upset by the way I was treated and as a nurse I'm embarrassed by the state of our health care system. I will NEVER go back to this facility and I will make sure no one I care about goes either. read more

I visited the ER at St Anthony North on 6/10 and I could not be happier with the care that I received. Every single staff member I interacted with was so kind - the PA, the nurses, the man who checked me in, and the 2 ladies that performed my CT scan. My attending PA, Winston, took me seriously from the moment I arrived, which was highly appreciated-- I am used to being dismissed by doctors when I give my concerns. I felt truly cared for the entire time I was there. The nurse that took care of me, I want to say her name was Jen, was SO kind, personable, and attentive. I really, really appreciated her and the entire staff. I've already been followed up with via phone call which impressed me. Thank you SO much to the staff at St Anthony North for making me so comfortable. To whoever reads these reviews at the hospital, please pass on my sincere thanks to your staff!!!! read more

This was the hospital I gave birth at and overall had a very pleasant experience (contractions aside lol) Hospital Is new and modern. The nurses in the labor and delivery unit were all super sweet and helpful; I went in at a level 8 pain and they were so understanding and made me as comfortable as possible until I got my epidural. Doctors were great. I guess the one thing I had issue with was they really try to scare you into exclusively breastfeed for the first three weeks. Multiple friends who have had kids prior to me said they had no issue with nipple confusion but they really try advise against it to the point where it seemed like fear mongering. They definitely scared my husband enough that we didn't introduce the helpful bottle feed until 3 weeks so it was a rough first few weeks for me. Apart from that everyone was great, I just wasn't a fan of the intense pressure to not introduce a bottle or paci before 3 weeks. read more

The emergency department on 2-22-23 at 11a were the worst! They worried more about the snacks and coffee than the care of my mother. First of all we had to ask for everything respiratory was a must due to my mothers trach and a male nurse has his nerve to ask me if I brought her humidifier station which requires power Very RUDE! I'm at a freaking hospital what are you talking about then they wouldn't get her a pillow for her wound they didn't help me removed her from her bed to wheelchair which was a safety risk instead they sit at the desk as if they were so busy worst care I have received there and your facility makes a lot of money from my family very disappointed!!! read more

I would give less than a 1 if I could. I had my prenatal care and birth at this hospital. The RUDENESS I received throughout my prenatal care was disappointing. I have a family history I kept asking them to note - they continued to tell me "I was just nervous" and not something to worry about (they were wrong - and I ended up having the same family history and they were not prepared), i had a nurse take my BP from an arm I was laying on and was sent to triage where no one would listen to me that they took my BP wrong - my BP continued to be normal but I still had to stay for 4 hours. While in labor, my son's heart rate went up. They told me it was my fault and I needed to calm down (I was calm so it didn't make sense), they put me on oxygen and I was like something is wrong with him not me - finally convinced them to let me have a c section and his cord was wrapped around his neck (luckily he's OK!), later at midnight, less than 24 hours after my c section they told me they were filled up needed my room and I needed to pack my bags and carry them to a different unit - quite a ways a way from my current room... mind you, I could barely walk from surgery. Then, I needed formula to feed My son, they kept getting annoyed and saying they were under staffed. I was like can you provide me a few things of it so I don't have to bother you for it and they said no they wouldn't. So I asked to leave as early as possible and the nurse said "you need to do this for the right reasons and think about your child right now".... Ummm I am - no one will bring me food to feed him. I want to go. Then at discharge she was asking me if I found a nurse to discharge me... uhh aren't you my nurse? Then I got discharged and the hospital was under construction and my husband parked in the emergency lot - so I had to WALK (protocol is wheelchair) from labor and deliver to the other side of the hospital where emergency was. I was hunched over and walking slowly and they were just about running out of there. They were so rude. Continued to blame me for needing care and then pissed at me for leaving. We had an emergency and they were the nearest hospital. The hospital staff were great but the security was absolutely awful. I attempted to contact the management about this and found that they did not care nor were they interested in hearing about the situation. It is not just one issue it was a violation of privacy and the law. I also tried to work out the situation with the security management and they admitted to video recording patience and those attending them even though they claimed no recordings were allowed. read more

I went to women's health here and gave birth at this hospital and disappointing is an understatement. From the beginning of my pregnancy, i let the doctors know my family history which may effect my birth - not a single one documented it in my chart and told me family history is irrelevant. Each time I'd get a lecture about the dangers of c sections and ultimately treated me like I was "just afraid" to give birth (especially the women doctors - dr. Forsetter, the only male doc, told me it's my body, my decision). I said I'm going to go in trying to give natural birth but given my fam history if anything goes left it needs to be no discussion and right in for c section. Throughout my pregnancy, because I'm overweight, they'd have me do a ton of extra things (ultra sound at almost every appt, non stress tests etc) and never explained why, finally I got an explanation 4 weeks before my due date (that "im fat and they want to keep an eye on the baby"). Mind you - I had no complications, no GD, no high BP, nothing. Then, I go in to give birth, I am in labor for 30 with multiple complications (which they're blaming me for). Finally, we reach the discussion of a c section, once again, I'm met with "it's risky" and about a 30 minute conversation of why I shouldn't have one. My husband and I disagreed, we went in for a c section and my son had his cord around his neck, was in the wrong position for vaginal birth and my uterus was "exhausted" according to doc. When the c section was done doc said "you definitely made the right choice." While I was in recovery I had a few doctors come in and say they're glad I made the choice I did, it was the right one. Which is highly concerning to me. Had I followed their advice we might be in a diff situation. Less than 24 hrs after my c section, they came in to my room at midnight, told me to pack all my belongings they needed to move me to a new room. (OUCH!) this room had no rail on the bed and no controls and was so uncomfortable and about a quarter of the size of the other room I was in. After a c section you need ALL the help you can get. I had none. The next day I was continually told how understaffed they were by every nurse so it was hard to help me or get formula for my son (I wasn't producing milk) and then I wanted to check out asap and the nurse was SO rude. Told me "I needed to think about why I wanted to leave" I'm like cause you're understaffed, I can't get in and out of bed to help or hold my son, and no one is bringing me formula to feed him!" Incompetency galore. Despite x-rays and CT scans, they completely missed an elbow fracture, despite all the obvious physical presentations as well. Nice, kind people, just very inexperienced. There wasn't a single well-seasoned doctor in sight the entire four hours we were there. And it was a slow night, so they were steady, but there was no chaos. Staff, ignoring patients and their machine alarms, would gather into groups of chit-chat and laughter. My bloody abrasions were not even given a second glance--no cleaning, disinfecting, etc. The only doctor who appeared was an extremely young and wide-eyed dingbat (sorry, not sorry) who knew and did absolutely NOTHING. There should have been an orthopedic on site. My arm was not put in a sling. NOTHING. I've had both hips replaced, Im pretty tough, and I know bone pain. If you find yourself needing an ER --- DON'T GO TO THIS ONE. It's full of super sweet, but totally incompetent, inexperienced kids who ignore basic care and would rather chat with each other. read more

In December of 2022, I underwent 2 gastrointestinal procedures at St. Anthony North Health Campus. I was there for a couple of hours, about 40 minutes of which was procedure time. The care I received was adequate. The bill I received was pure extortion. I am a primary care physician and I own my own practice. Like many of you, I have the health insurance I can afford and it has a high deductible. Centura knows this and bills my insurance absurd rates without any justification. They know that my insurance will only pay a small amount of that and given the high deductible, the rest of the bill goes to me. I was charged $2189.41 for pathology. ONE specimen was looked at under the microscope. I was charged $4012.33 for "general gastro-intestinal services." Again, I was in the procedure room for about 40 minutes and those "general gastro-intestinal services" did not actually include the 2 procedures that I had done. I never received an explanation of what those services could possibly have included. Anesthesia charges totaled $1970.07 for 40 minutes of procedure time. I NEVER saw an anesthesiologist. After my insurance paid its portion, I owe over $4000 for my 40 minutes and 2 procedures. I called Centura several times just to help me understand these charges. The people who answer the phones sound disinterested at best, frankly hostile at worst. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor of the billing department. No one has ever called me back. There is literally no recourse for patients who are being billed unfairly. Let me be clear. I am a physician who refers patients to this hospital. I bring in revenue for Centura across their various health care institutions. If this is how they treat me, imagine how they will treat you. read more

On 6 February 2025 my mother was admitted to Emergency Department. I am dealing with this from out of state. My family has had a long history with this hospital. The campus is beautiful, the facility is incredible, the staff has always been top notch --- until now. TRACY an RN in the ED Department is dismissive, she is rude, she is inaccurate, she refuses to use actual facts. I presented her with known reports - that she had - in the care of my mother - reports I too had a copy of - she refused to update the information when she was corrected and known to be inaccurate. She admitted to not caring. When dealing with an elderly mother (late 70s) from hundreds of miles away, one expects the staff to be accurate and use the most current information. Tracy stated "I don't like it when I am corrected" Tracy was more worried about her feelings and how she was perceived than she was in proper patient care. Tracey was cold, callous, rude and 100% unhelpful at every turn. I pointed out to Tracey the Patient's Bill of Rights and she literally scoffed on the phone at me and said it did not matter. I ended up having to speak to the Charge Nurse and the House Supervisor to have a proper nurse to take care of my mother. This type of care is the biggest black eye I have ever seen from this facility. I will filing MANY reviews, MANY complaints and making sure that this horrible behavior is known and documented. This is by far the worst hospital experience my family has ever had. My dad had Covid and against our wishes they released him. Less than 20 hours later he was back in the emergency room with pneumonia. He couldn't walk or eat on his own. They dismissed him and sent him home again. He was taken to the ER another 10 hours later and readmitted because they missed both heart issues and lung issues. When we called to speak with him the receptionist told us that he had been released. We didn't understand because he can't walk on his own. They literally lost him. The staff at this hospital is a joke. They're remiss i. Their duties and consistently violate their Hippocratic oath. They don't care if you were sick or dying they don't want you in their hospital and will send you home and dismiss you. I went in for Dry mouth, inability to produce saliva, liver, kidney, & lower back pain. They planned everything. They drew blood & never hooked me up to an IV which is protocol for dehydration! They didn't want to replace the blood they drew. They did a cat scan & I seen my liver was bleeding due to organ dryness but, when I asked what the red & blue was, the nurse told me it means the liver is getting blood & nothings wrong. I've been injected with Gadolinium dye= causes kidney failure & I've got an x-ray showing cirrhosis! Their just another hospital that will help LUH murder! read more

The most inhospitable facility I've ever had the misfortune of "receiving care" from. How does Dr. Bishop leave because someone is 10 minutes late to their appointment just to read results? Mind you, the receptionist was gone for half that I had to walk to the front desk of pulmonology. If that's the case, why not call to notify me of this? Apparently there's no grace period and little respect for how a patient's multiple appointments are booked hours apart/at 2 different locations, sonographers leaving at noon, and a same day notification of time changes to prior existing appointments. Front desk has pure misery written all over their faces when you walk in. Do better with staffing persons with true customer experience and communication at the Women's Health office on the 3rd floor. You are in the healthcare field; let the latter end of that word truly soak in and figure out how to care. read more

My last visit there seemed to be going just fine. I discussed my care plan with the PA who had been assisting me and was awaiting discharge. She told me they were working on the discharge paperwork and I would be out shortly. Next thing I knew, I was waking up to someone asking me the same questions I got when I walked in the door. I had no idea who she was and was a bit agitated by this. Either let me go home or let me sleep. She told me they were working on my discharge paperwork and to hang on a bit. About an hour later, she comes in with my paperwork and I asked her if the paper work was correct after I reviewed it. My 1st PA and I had discussed my discharge and pain management instructions and this paperwork was completely different with the 2nd PA. I told the 1st PA that my primary care Doctor did not want me on NSAIDS because of my liver and we had agreed on a certain pain medication for at home care. The 2nd PA's instructions (noted on the discharge paperwork) were to take 3 Advil and 3 Tylenol every 4 hours for pain. I asked her if this was correct and she was very rude with no explanation other than, "you'll be fine." I was at this same location just a month prior for the same issue and was treated way better and in a caring manner. I was told by my other Doctors during my follow up appointments that I actually need to go to Good Samaritan next time and should have never even been discharged in the first place. He couldn't believe I was told to take Advil and Tylenol for pain.
